1. Kristin smiled sadly at Kimber. She wanted nothing more than to reach out to the ghostly girl, but she wasn't certain how to replicate the telekinetic hug she'd managed on the spur of the moment in the Sanctum. "Just a little weird," she said to Sharl with a bit of a grin. "But I reckon we can forgive you this time. Saving both Troniks from the Curator is a pretty big thing. It was a pretty brave thing you did in there Sharl. True hero stuff for sure, even if you don't remember doing it." She paused for a moment, then dropped the other boot, wanting to lighten the mood in the room a little. "Don't do it again though, else I'm going to find some way to kick you in the backside I swear!" "So when are you going to visit your family?" she asked. "Because I was sort of hoping to tag along. I reckon we must have earned a tour of the Sanctum, right? You know, for us new kids who haven't been there when it's not under attack by giant alien ships full of shooty robots?"
2. Guess that if Warp's off doing the teleporty thing then I'm up!

Glow is going to take a Total defense action (+4 to her def for the round) instead of attacking again. And she's going to talk at him of course.
3. "Alright guys, hold on tight, this won't take a minute!" Glow advised the two workers as she enveloped them both in a field of shining telekinetic energy. Unable to keep a grin off her lips at the obvious terror on the face of the taller man she glanced over at Silver spider and winked, then disappeared over the edge with them in tow. The descent was slightly swifter than might have been strictly necessary, but the men were quickly deposited with the police, under instructions to repeat everything they knew to the officer in charge. A few moments later she landed - rather gingerly - atop the tower once more and gave Jennifer a smile. "So I heard on the news that guys with guns stormed the place," she started. "And the whole green 'g' thing..." There was a slight pause, and she chewed on her lip as she ducked her head guiltily. "Yeah I know, I should have called you. Sorry."
4. Glow stumbled backwards a few steps under the almost physical impact of Nephilim's psychic attack, but quickly regained her balance and shook her head clear with a snarl. "Attagirl," she whispered as Warp disappeared into her rift, "Hurry back..." With her friend out of danger and backup on the way the she fixed her attention squarely on the villain, then grinned as she pointed in the direction Warp had disappeared from. "You know, she took Marduk and Rapids with her when she left," she told him. "And you can bet she's coming back with enough heavies to chase you off, so how about we just call it a draw now so you can go off and think about your direction in life?" As she spoke the telekinetic teenager lifted lightly off the ground in a swirl of green light, ready to dodge at a moment's notice. With nobody but herself in harms way it wasn't a fight on her mind any more, it was a game of keep-away. Playing for time she continued to talk. "After all, there's nothing left to fight for."
5. Supercape can I assume that Glow can take our two rooftop repairmen down to ground level without incident? I'm pretty sure that anyone who reads Jack Jackson regularly would probably not be overly keen on the idea!
6. Glow gave Silver spider a slightly sheepish grin and a shrug, then turned back towards the two men. "Alright, who's your boss then?" she asked the shorter of the two. "Maybe we'll ask him about it. And is there any way we can get into the top floor from up here? might not be a good idea to catch the elevator, it seems like there's trouble in the building. Probably best that you guys don't go back inside, we might take you down to ground level and you can tell the cops the same thing you told us. They might find it useful too." That the taller man was a fan of Jack Jackson made her roll her eyes. Just my luck that he'd be here she thought as she glanced over at Jen. "Hope you brought your bag of tricks?" she said with a grin. "Looks like we get to save Jackson again."
7. Glow cursed under her breath as Warp started to come unglued at the worst possible time. "Get Wraith and Ghost girl! Wisp! Just get someone!" she yelled at her rattled teammate. "I'll be fine! now go!" The telekinetic turned her attention back to the immobilized villain. Her bonds were clearly weakening quickly and it didn't look like she was going to be able to hold him long. "Brat?" she asked him as she gathered her powers around her and pointed at the ruins of the truck she had destroyed with one hand. "What are you, some kind of up-sized schoolyard bully? Your mother must be so proud!" Tortured metal squealed as Glow tore the entire engine block of the ruined vehicle loose and lifted it to chest height. A moment later she swept her hand towards Nephilim and the massive piece of machinery followed the gesture, whipping through the air to smash into the mighty man's side with an enormous crunch that sent engine parts flying in all directions.
8. Reflex save: 8. I think that fails. Will save: 27. That's right, taking a bruise with a natural 20!
9. That's fine by me. For the record Kristin didn't call Jen about it because she thought Jen would probably tell her to stay home and rest her injuries. Can't have that!
10. "It's always handy to have a way to get around," Kristin agreed. "I just got my car license a couple of months ago and a little second-hand car to go along with it. Two wheels is totally the wrong number though, I'm definitely happy sticking with four." She smiled at Giang's choices for potential hobbies. Clearly the Asian girl's interests tended more towards the artistic side than her own. "Maybe try painting or something too," she suggested. "I haven't got an artistic bone in my body, but I've heard it's really rewarding once you learn it properly. I don't know much about calligraphy, but I can help with the dance sometime if you like. Me and Etain taught John a little dancing, that was great fun."
11. Okay, so let's make with the stunting again because while he's tied up Glow might actually get him to roll a toughness save. 30pp to play with so let's just go.. hmm.. Blast 15. Her normal attack bonus is +5 so that would be the equivalent of a max-shifted PL10 attack and it just happens to cost exactly the right amount. Neato. Descriptor is going to be the engine block of that truck being thrown at him telekinetically. Because crash! Now if we can just get invisible castle to behave.. Attack roll: 15 which works just fine if you ask me. Apart from that she's just going to yell at Kat a bit more. And in the interests of surviving at least one attack once he gets loose I'm going to save that last HP and take the fatigue.
12. Kristin smiled broadly as she remembered some of the shenanigans that had accompanied John's attempt to find a hobby. "Don't worry about that," she chuckled, "We'll probably just end up having you try everything until you find something you like! John wasn't really used to the whole leisure time thing either and we had him try out all kinds. Old movies, video games, dancing, instruments.. he was pretty good with a guitar but I don't think he stuck with it. Maybe even something simple like getting outside and kicking a football around." She gave a bit of a shrug at the motorcycle comment though. "Not sure about the motorbikes though, Mali's taken me out on hers and I think that's about the scariest thing I've done since I got here," she said with a grin. "I think she might have been showing off just a little, but still..."
13. When no obvious danger presented itself Glow circled lower, then finally swooped down and dropped rather carefully to the rooftop in front of the two workers. "Hey there," she greeted them as she looked around cautiously. "Care to explain what the deal is with the spotlight there? Seems like a pretty strange thing for you guys to be search-lighting a giant green 'G' on top of a building that's been taken over by gunmen?" As the icy wind whipped around her she shivered slightly and wrapped herself more tightly with her telekinetic barriers, then looked over the two men more closely. They certainly seemed to be simply maintenance workers, which obviously meant they must be making the signal at someone's request. "Someone send you up here just to set up the lightshow or something? Any idea why?"
14. Poor Warp Hey Ari, what does Nephilim's defence look like while he's all trussed up like that?
15. "I guess that kinda makes sense," Kristin allowed. "Kids aren't exactly the best at 'focussed and disciplined' I suppose, but nobody can work hard all the time. I guess I saw something like that when I was into gymnastics. Some of the parents there were pretty full-on, the way they would drive their kids, or get upset with them when a practice rep wasn't perfect or something. Just crazy intense sometimes." She gave a bit of a shrug, and her textbooks snapped shut with a little telekinetic assistance as she repeated "You can't study all the time!" and grinned at Giang. "Enough of that, what do you do for fun?" she asked. "Please don't tell me that you study and meditate all the time? I'd have to call you crazy!"
16. We're in trouble was the thought that raced through Glow's head as Nephilim absorbed the enormously powerful blast of entropic energy with no ill effects. With direct attacks proving ineffective she changed tactics and gestured at a nearby truck, which disintegrated noisily, torn into pieces by a whirlwind of telekinetic energy. "Warp! Get help.. now!" she shouted to her enraged friend in a commanding tone as sheets of metal and smaller components from the destroyed vehicle swept towards the self-proclaimed god of life and death. "I'll try to keep him busy!" Metal squealed and twisted under the effects of her power as it plastered against Nephilim's muscular body and wrapped around him tightly, rapidly building into a metallic cocoon that pinned his arms tightly to his sides as more and more layers were added. With a wince that betrayed how much effort the impromptu technique had cost her, Glow set about reinforcing the binding with her telekinesis. "If you have that much power," she asked through gritted teeth. "Why are you fighting on the wrong side? Think of the good you could do?"
17. Ari I think that snare rules are a little different to that. The book says: Targets can break out of a Snare using Strength or an effect that doesn't require freedom of movement (this may restrict the use of some powers and devices, for example). The Snare makes Toughness saves like an inanimate object with Toughness equal to it's rank. So if I'm reading that right then Nephi would be able to force the snare to make a DC28 toughness save like an inanimate object and it would save at +11?
18. Thanks Supercape! I edited my first post to suit as well.
19. Ari you did notice my action post right?
20. "A bit more than a year now," Kristin replied. "I came over not long after my little accidental telekinetic outburst made news. I needed some help getting it all under control and there wasn't too many people experienced in that kind of training available to me back home. Claremont really helped out with putting me in contact with some psychics who knew how to deal with what I was going through. Some of the older students were really great, and I spent plenty of time with some professionals who work with young mutants too." She gave Giang a bit of a grin. "Plus the training I get here really helps to expand what I'm capable of," she added. "And that's always nice. Plus it's a pretty good school once you get past all that extra stuff too. Once you get past the part where everybody talks in feet and inches and pounds and stuff like that instead of using sensible measurements anyway!" She looked the Vietnamese girl over again curiously. "So why weren't you supposed to hang out with the other kids?" she asked. "If that's not prying too much of course, plenty of people here don't like to talk about their past too much, so it's cool if you don't want to talk about it"
21. Hi Supercape.. looks like Azuth is out of commission. He hasn't replied to my PM. Do you want to change the initial setup or just have Glow find out that Silver Spider is in the middle of foiling some other criminal's plan and that she'll just have to go it alone for now?
22. Also, Ari I think it's a little harsh for Nephi to take what's literally the best shot Warp can put out and imply that it's "measly power"... I mean, I'm fine with you fiating that he makes the save and all, he's supposed to be too tough for us, but that's a DC32 toughness save which an unshifted PL15 has to power attack to get without a crit. If he thinks that's pathetically weak then you have to call the whole Freedom league to chase him off. Warp being able to put out that kind of power should at least get a little respect out of him I reckon.
23. So Glow's seen enough to work out that this guy is made out of something pretty tough. Which means that it's stunting time! While Glow's built to be a PL9 at the moment she's also allowed to be PL10 so I assume I'm allowed to stunt something PL10-like? If so: Snare 11, feats: accurate 2 (24pp) fits in her array with 6pp to spare and she'd be rolling at +9 (5 normal attack + 4 from the accurate ranks). Attack roll: 20 which I believe misses guys with crazy def. Attack reroll: 13 which becomes 23 on a reroll and should just hit (and I think is a DC21 reflex save?) Now.. descriptors would depend a little on the surroundings. Glow's going to be taking something and wrapping it around Nephi with her telekinesis.. first thought was a lightpost or two (I assume Freedom city makes those out of steel?), second thought was a police car being TK'd into pieces and wrapped around him on the fly.. I'm open to other suggestions.. perhaps all of the window frames from the building that we were just in torn out of their settings? Glass everywhere is probably the least of our concerns!
24. Prior training helped Kristin avoid the natural mistake of looking up to see what happened - which was good, because she was liberally showered with chips and chunks of the climbing wall as they scattered away from the impact site. "You alright?" she called to Mali as the pair disappeared into the rapidly spreading cloud of drywall-dust. "I guess that's our cue," she muttered in quieter tones as she glanced downwards and then grabbed at her harness. "Down would be good.." She wasn't that high up. Not for someone with her abilities. With the dust for cover she unhooked herself from the safety line and scrambled down the wall for a few handholds before dropping off completely with just a hint of telekinetic lift to cushion the impact as she landed in a crouch and looked around. Predictably the gym was a mess, with people screaming and others running, but there didn't seem to be an immediate threat, so Kristin dashed for her bag and scooped it up at a run as she headed for a quiet place to suit up.
25. "Turns out that if you stuff a bioneural whatsit full of cranes it explodes!" Kristin confirmed with a grin in Koshiro's direction. "And I think everyone came out pretty much unscathed except me, and that was just a scorch mark or two from getting shot at by about a million robots. Even Erde went off pretty well, Koshiro trashed a bunch of helicopters there too. Think that took the heat off pretty well." She turned a friendly scowl on Sharl. "Don't think changing the topic is going to get you off the hook though mister!" she told him while wagging a finger in his general direction. "You made Kimber cry, and I'm pretty sure that it's in the team rulebook that anyone who makes Kimber sad gets a punch in the nose!" That he'd made her cry too was clearly not on her list of things to say, and that though came to her all in a rush, and for a moment she looked fit to burst into tears once more. "Glad you're back.." she managed to choke out before a deep shuddering breath that went some of the way to helping her regain her composure.
