  1. Despite his assurance there was a little bit of her Victorian upbringing holding her back. Besides she didn't tell everything to someone she had just met. A girl had to keep a little mystery. "I like the costume, it a shame I didn't know it was fancy dress or I'd come as Theda Bara." She struck her best Vamp pose. In truth she had planned to change before coming here, but into something less conspicuous. A run in with a mugger had scuppered those plans.
  2. "Yes, yes he was. It was a long time ago...but it doesn't seem that long to me." She managed a weak smile "I'm sorry I dumped this on you, and we've not even been introduced. "She offered out a hand "Lucy Harker. Pleased to meet you..." She gave a smile, more genuine this time. "Have I seen this movie? Well yes, but it so long ago you could say it was almost when it came out." Which was true it had been a couple of months after it release before they had gone to see it.
  3. Lucy face fell “Oh no nothing like that. I decided to stay out of the way. After all this is all about the community, they didn’t need me hogging the limelight. Beside they’d only drag out that clip of me punching the dragon again…†She hopped up onto the back of the flatbed and began moving the pallets forwards like they weighed nothing. “I get on well with almost all of the community, they’ve accepted me in with open arms. The problem is that some of the older members have had dealing with undead. Seems that when Pakistan formed some European vampires, especially British ones, took a Man who would be King to a little bit to heart and tried to form their own petty kingdoms in the chaos of the birth of a new nation. Imagine there surprise when they found Heathen temple were just as bad for them as the churches back home.†She gave a bright smile “I keep telling them it won’t affect me, I often go up to St Stephen’s or help the Sister at Our Lady of Mercy. But they still worry about me, it kind of sweet really.â€
  4. For a few second she thought she was still reliving her memories, having literally bumped into a suited man who reminded her a little of her fiancé. For a few minutes she forgot herself and looked him in the eyes and gave him a bright friendly smile. “No apology necessary, I wasn’t really looking where I was going. You know how I get when I’m thinking about something…†Then reality came crashing back and her smile turned into a frown, she broke eye contact and looked down. “Sorry you reminded me of someone I knew, a long time ago…â€
  5. I think technically you'd still need to roll for a miss chance, but we'll hand wave it for now. Merge's toughness check 1d20+10=16. With her bruise that's a Dazed and Bruised. Merge is dazed so it's YB's attack 1d20+8=15, argh reroll 1d20+8=15, with the +10 we're good. Miss chance 1d20=17 so a solid hit, yay! So a Toughness save DC 25 Merge's Toughness save 1d20+10-2=13. So another Dazed and Staggered. Guess Starlight was right . And Starlight is up.
  6. Starlight attack streaked out catching a number of Merge’s in its area. Some simply vanished, whilst some seemed stunned by the assault. No wait only one seemed to be truly harmed, the others, well all of them, seemed stunned in response to this one Merge. Maybe that was the original Merge, and the others were just copies? Not knowing how long Agnus had she loosened a bolt of light towards that Merge, and it wasn’t a moment too soon there was an almost imperceptional change around her just as the bolt hit. “Yeah you could be right, this shouldn’t take long.â€
  7. Since her return Lucy had gained an interest in Vampire in fiction. She’d read and watched almost everything on them, even the one with sparkly vampire though modern editing and pacing still confused her. But Nosferatu was different. She had gone to see it with her then boyfriend, later fiancé, and in this very movie theatre. So it held special memories of a person she had lost, to her at least, only recently. The place hadn't changed much despite the intervening years; she looked around drinking in the atmosphere. So lost in her memories of the old places and old times she hadn't noticed the back of the queue and collided with the man in front of her.
  8. But I thought that was our plan! Seeing we allowing Serpent boy to lead us I'm guessing we're more likely to get random stuff. So random stuff my vote .
  9. Gail bringing in the coffee’s allowed Agnus a few minutes to sort out her feelings. In some ways it would have been simpler if he had broken up with her. Despite the time that had gone by she still had to admit she had some feeling for him. “Well it’s a better excuse than most of boyfriends, and when you feel up to it I’m here to listen to the whole story.†She stopped and leaned forwards “But that was months ago, did you lose my number?" A small smirk might have undercut the disappointment in her voice.
  10. Her face darkened for a moment “There are rumours that Revolutionary Council created a replacement for Gallia, it may have bought her back as she is and even driven her insane. Her influence had already faded among the King; he preferred his own divinity over Gallia’s assistance. I wouldn’t trust Robespierre’s judgment and his time in command may soon be coming to an end.†She gave a dismissive gesture and carried on “But we are not here to discuss politics, we both agree that we must try to help the Countess. The room that the Prince is kept in also has wards to protect from supernatural assault. If you can get her to enter the room the wards should prevent her from leaving. You’ll have to take the lead with that, she wisely doesn’t seem to trust me…â€
  11. She gave a sparkling little laugh “Well it’s impolite to ask a woman her age, but no I was born long after the first Emperor. I was the second born of a minor noble family and as such I left to my own devices, even allowed to gain an education. I became fascinated with the sciences of the Æther, I believed that the flowed allowing almost instantaneous travel. So I applied my engineering knowledge to build a machine, it worked but not in a way I expected. Instead of brining me to another part of the planet it bought me to another Earth one of technological wonders beyond even this one."
  12. Centurion Gurt gave a cheeky grin “I not sure what you were saying, but the Gauls speak a barbarian Celtic tongue, like those from Britannia…†the last comment got an evil glare from the General “If you all make your way over here.†The General gestured to a table sitting to one side of the room. As they approached a three dimensional map of the area sprang up on the top of the table. The topography was familiar to all of them as that surrounded Freedom City, though here it looked much smaller that the city they knew. The other Centurion stepped forward and gestured to the German figure scrolling above the map. “These seem some kind of data, I can’t make any sense of them.†There seemed to be several columns of them in the area “We are here†he pointed to a small base below a column of figure “Whilst this seems to be there main base.†He gesture to a much larger base on the map “It’s to isolated to scout out, and our base isn’t equipped with drone to scout the area.â€
  13. Blodeuwedd always patrolled these streets; it helped that she kept a apartment nearby. Today she was simply on her way back to school after maintaining her cover. She wasn’t really looking for trouble so it was a stroke of luck that she looked up to see the mysterious stranger on the roof. It would have been easy to ignore him and just walk on but then again he could be in serious trouble. Swearing using Welsh that no good girl should know, she began to clamber up the side of the building deploying her cloak around her as she did. By the time she’d arrived El Heraldo and Wisp had already arrived there. She moves silently so she was just behind Subito ear and then asked. “Fancy meeting you here! Anyone know what’s going on?â€
  14. Lucy gave her friendliest smiles at the guards. She was mildly irked, but mostly because they were putting themselves into danger. “I’ll be happy to help clear up this misunderstanding. I just need to clear something up with my friends.†As she turned to the two vampires her smile failed, a stern no business face of someone who meant business. She kept her voice down so security couldn't hear, hoping that there confusion would buy her some time. “So how does this work? The Doctor is under my protection, and this operation stops now! I’m sure you both want a chance to take me down, prove yourself the better in the eyes of your Master…â€
  15. Lucy gave a little laugh, not an unpleasant sound “I’m afraid it’s probably me. I’ve convince them I could do all the heavy lifting to save on expensive equipment. But the Imam seems to think that I’ll suddenly burst into flame, I suppose this doesn’t help…†She pulled back her hood revealing an attractive face, if not on the pale side. The only thing that suggested anything amiss was her eyes, two orbs of inky blackness. “Hello there I’m Lucy Harker, I sometime go by the name of Revenant.†She gave a bright warm smile.
  16. Suppressing a smile, it was a serious situation after all. With only a small flourish, she wasn’t one to show off especial among her betters; Blodeuwedd put Dyrnwyn back into its scabbard and offered it to Medraut “Probably best not to bring Cold Iron to their home, it might be seen as impolite.†She checked that her other equipment was in working order, luckily her knives were ceramic. “Whilst they might not be the enemy I don’t trust her majesty either.†She looked expectantly at her Supervisor “I assume you have a plan if thing go wrong, and an extraction point hopefully.â€

  18. “The clues in the name honey. I’ve been asked about it a couple of time. Not subtly either, it’s just the people I tend to work with.†Standing up Merge gave a broad smile “Probably best if we travel separately, less questions that way. Unless you want all the gossip pages talking about you with your criminal girlfriend.†She leant in and wrote the address on a napkin and then gave him a small kiss on the cheek. “Well that should give them something to talk about. You’ve got reputation to keep up after all.â€
  19. “I’d warn you about dealing with power spirits like this, they tend to entwine themselves around other fates. But I’m afraid that Robespierre and myself have dragged you into this world. The worst you could do is understand the world you’ve been pushed into.†It sounded like she was trying to convince herself as much as him. “No one knows exactly what they are, they don’t exactly seem keen to tell anyone and the scholars know little about them. It’s probably why you’ve not read about them. But every country seems to have one and they twist and change, grow and shrink in number, with the fortunes of their lands they inhabit. At time of crisis they offer to bond with a host giving them certain abilities to aid the women, and it’s mostly women, in completing a task.†She leaned forward a hint of anger in her voice “But Gallia is wrong somehow, her time has gone she should have surrendered to fate. And that voice of hers I suspect that she not just inhabiting our poor Countess she controlling her.â€
  20. The Imam, with a smile, directed Asad toward one of the foreman’s in charge of the building. After a few seconds thought the foreman, what do you do with a Billionaire Businessman with powers who wants to help, he directed Asad towards the truck at the back of the site. “Maybe you could help Lucy unload the truck?†he looked around conspiratorially “Be warned she a little on the strange side.†He gesture towards whom, Asad had to assume, was the woman in question. The woman herself seemed quite innocuous, hand in her jeans pockets whistling a little tune to herself.
  21. I am of cause trying a massive Bluff, with Skill Mastery that gives me 21.
  22. As they walked Blodeuwedd explained her question about magic. <<â€Magical Traditions are a little like Martial Arts styles. They all have there different styles and techniques, there strengths and there weaknesses. They can also inform a person decisions making them interested, sometimes to extremes, in achieving or finding certain goals.â€>> As if to illustrate this very point the guard was turning them away for what seemed a very Norse like mythic reason. <<â€I have an idea. Just get ready whilst I try this just in case this doesn't work.â€>> she told Myrmidon through there private link. “Of cause you’ve not been told.†Ignoring how strange her “new†voice sounded she put on the world weary tones of those who had to complete a job despite their betters. “It seems he know fears that these intruders are some kind of interference from Jötunheimr. We’ve been issued with these special weapons.†She gestured to the perfectly normal weapons they borrowed “And guard the giants in case they try anything.â€
  23. Without a word Blodeuwedd got up from her kneeling position, picking up the sword as she did, and padded her way over to where Erik was stood. Her face displayed little emotions as she stood opposite him and gave a little bow. As she did all this she considered her options. Normally when facing an unknown, and superior, opponent she would have adopted a defensive posture. The circumstances wouldn't allow that however so her second option would be a series of feints to distract from her actual attack. Her only advantage was that she had been trained with a mix of fighting styles, something she now used to her advantage. She adopted a stance that suggested one type of attack, a quick feint that suggest a second whilst her actual attack was from a third unrelated form. She didn't expect it to work, but it wouldn't hut to try.
  24. Sound like a bit of a crowded roof already but do you have room for Blod?
  25. Do you have any ideas on what PL of characters you want? I'm tempted to put Revenant up for this...
