  1. “Why would I need the holiday when I have this beautiful sun kissed skin?†she gave a broad grin, it seemed that she was back to her old self. “So about this safety deposit box, it took some digging and calling in a few favours but I managed to find its contents. I assume you’ve heard the term Arche-Up Companies? Start-ups that take a bit of technology from places like Arche Tech and HAX and try to turn a profit from them. Well it seems there was this company called Ephemeral Entertainment who somehow got there hand on a Brain Scanning machine. They thought they could take brain scan from a famous person and us it to construct the perfect virtual assistant. But there was some kind of disagreement over image copyright and the recording came back into the hand of Angela. And it seems that recording of a, mostly, sane Angela Milan was what they were after.â€
  2. Lucy had a tricky job, protecting the good Doctor from going too far in his diminished state. But she also had to keep an eye out for who was behind this whole place. She subtly took a large chunk of the chips backs. “And we’ll have a few more hours of gambling fun if we go a little easier on the chips. We don’t want all this fun to end to early do we?†She also put her hand gently on his own, hoping that it would produce a calming influence. At the least he should react to her cold touch. All the while she scanned the room trying to pick out anyone who could be behind this plan.
  3. “France is deep in the blood of innocence, the land and its people are sick because of the last King. It is unfortunate but he had to die, a sacrifice to a new age. But those that have replaced him are no better, only a king may kill a king without consequences.†There was a subtle underlying anger to her words as if was all an affront to her personally “With the Prince to hold up as a symbol of a new start we can gather people under one banner to restore the monarch and start a new golden era for France.†As she spoke she had a wistful look about her. Beside him Constance stiffened slightly, if Rene hadn’t been so close he wouldn’t have noticed her reaction; in the short time Rene had known her she had normally managed to conceal her true feelings. But then again wasn’t her true loyalties of the Republic the Countess opposed?
  4. Blod's toughness save 1d20+8-1=21, not brilliant, but not bad, I'll take another bruise for now.
  5. Fort saves against the Disease and Poison 1d20+9=19, 1d20+9=23. The swamp won't beat me!
  6. Constance gave Rene a strange look out of the corner of her eye, but seemed intent to carry on with her plan. “I am Constance and this is Rene. We think we have found a way to access the Temple and free the Prince.†She then began to lay out the basics of a plan to enter the Temple and free the Prince, hopefully without being discovered and without violence. The Countess listened to Constance, but kept her attention mostly on Rene’s reactions. When Constance finished she didn’t respond to her, but instead asked Rene. “And what do you think of this plan? Will it work as this woman has suggested?â€
  7. Blodeuwedd gave Subio what she hoped was a withering look “You remember that conversation we had about saying we’re looking for some Afanc? Well telling a woman she makes a good Maiden is in much the same category.†A slight smile at the end suggested she wasn’t entirely serious “It’s not a condition I plan on keeping for the long term Supervisor Medraut, not that I’m currently in a hurry to fix the problem.†She then took a look across the water, taking in the position of everything in relation to themselves and the plan “Well unless I can walk on water, and I’m sure the Reverent wouldn’t be happy if I did, either way I’m going to wait at the shore. Being in a boat around a large monster seems a recipe for disaster.â€
  8. As they had been told the swamp was hell. Everything seemed to want to take a bite of them, well her at least. A gift from her dad she’d supposed he always got bitten to hell when he went on holiday. “How exactly does a bug bite though invulnerable skin anyhow? Though some of the stuff here is quite exotic, I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up in Jurassic Park.†she sat down on what she hoped was a stable rock “Wow it’s been a while since I’ve had small beer, it must not agree with this me. I need a minute her Subito.†She massaged her soldier, suppressing for now her urge to heal up the bites â€Could you take a look at this bite, I think it’s infected already.†As he leaned in to look at her bite she whispered into his ear “We’re being followed, some filthy figure over that way.†She used her arm to point the way, whilst trying to appear like she was showing him the bite.
  9. Agnes gave a broad smile at King of Suits comments “Why you little charmer you.†she gave him a playful tap on the shoulder with her fist “I suppose that if he does get into trouble I can get there straight away. Besides I’m not really a investigator, I’m just here to look pretty!†She spent a few minutes chasing her food around the plate before speaking again. “So what exactly have we found out so far? And what do we still need to find? I mean beside the whole stop this super-bug spreading further…â€
  10. Blodeuwedd couldn’t help but give a little smile; she’d seen beginners, who thought they knew better, be humiliated by master beating all at the same time. She suspected that Erik would be capable of beating them all at the same time. It would have been interesting to watch, but now was not the time she was here to improve her technique. “I agree with the others that I prefer the one at a time method. May I suggest that you start with the few of us that have some sword wielding experience? It would probably be of more use to see others fighting before trying it themselves." She had a sneaking suspicion that she had just volunteered herself to go first. Still this should be interesting.
  11. To her mind the gym was a little over complicated, full of machine which you didn’t really need to keep yourself in shape. She’d been taught to use what was available to keep yourself in shape, she guessed her Taid was just old fashioned like that. Though the wall looked like it would provide a minor challenge, though the walls of the academy caught more of her attention as a challenge. “Diolch ond yr wyf i'n iawn.* I think lost my guide when I arrived, I can be quite hard to spot if I put my mind to it. The parkour club sound interesting, it’ll be a good way to learn the layout of the City.†* Thanks but I'm okay.
  12. Angus looked a little torn for a few second, she knew Starlight was in some way right but a small production company like this would never recover from this lot. The spirit of justice inside her was compelling her to try a stop Merge from stealing all the money. “Okay the hostages seem fine so let’s take her down. But I think it’s best if we split up and take down both groups at the same time. You’ve gotta point about all that dosh, but I’m still compelled to try and stop her. I can’t quite explain it, it’s all about the burden that come with this form I guess.â€
  13. “Well I think the decision should be Lord Steam, I don’t want to put his beautiful Cressida at risk without his consent. And besides your flying outside might provoke the Avians.†She looked thoughtful for a few seconds. “Maybe we should….†She didn’t get a chance to finish as the radio crackled into life. “Is this thing on? Ah yes I see that we are. I find these things so impersonal, just give me a minute.†The feminine voice contained a hint of a French accent. From the radio jumped a spark of electricity, which swirled around in the air, shifting a altering until it revealed the image of a woman. She was a rather attractive woman of indeterminate age with porcelain pale skin. If it wasn’t for her mass of burgundy coloured hair the image could be in black and white. She was dressed in the khaki clothes of a traditional Victorian adventurer. After the image stabilised it began to move as if she was in the room talking. “Now that’s much better. Ah Lord Steam I assume, and you bought your long friends along how quaint.†She held her hands to her face “I suppose I should really introduce myself I am Madam Vapeur…â€
  14. It seemed like a sensible and straight forward plan, after all she’d suggested the basics, so it probably wouldn’t survive contact with the enemy. Whilst the order encourage a certain amount of creative planning, especially Taid who seemed to thrive on it, it also taught it’s agent to be aware of their limitations. “Do we have any kind of backup plan in case something goes awry? Even if it is just the maiden defence.†She was by her nature a fairly pragmatic kind of person and if you had an ability that would assist in a plan she would be the first to volunteer the fact. But something about admitting around Subito that she was a suitable candidate for the part of the Maiden made her blush.
  15. There were time when one should show grace and composure, when an attack could be considered a work of art in itself. This was not one of those moments. Blodeuwedd main concern was to take down this drug addled idiot quickly. Partially to act before he could use his speedster abilities to his advantage, but mostly so she could turn her attentions to helping her friends. With this in mind she settled for a simple elbow to the stomach, she did as a flourish twist around before planting the blow. It was just a shame she couldn’t deploy her cap right now, the effect of the turn would have set her cloak twirling in a suitably dramatic way.
  16. Another simple Attack roll 1d20+9=27, I don't think she like this guy . Um a straight forwards DC 18 toughness save this time.
  17. With his penalty from the demoralize that actually a hit. For simplicity his Grapple Roll is 1d20+4=17, -2 for the shaken for a grand total of 15!
  18. The one thing that constantly amazed her since she’d returned was how little thing like this didn’t bother her in the slightest. Hell wasn’t exactly what she’d expected, Dante had a lot to answer for, but it didn’t seem that out of character either. She would have expected it to have stronger odour though. Nick plan made a certain amount of sense but she hadn’t had much experience with demons, so they trusted the others to do the actual negotiation. It everything went wrong, well then she could put her unique talents to work.
  19. Lucy had a sudden revelation. She didn’t have any idea how many people in this establishment was involved in the vampire plan. And the doctors strange burst of energy suggested that something had already affected him. The best bet was the Champagne, though she couldn’t be absolutely certain. Her first instinct was to get the good doctor out of there, but that wouldn’t solve anything and he was probably safer in her company. Especially if he was marked as a target. They knew who she was so the dumb flapper act was right out, but the Doctors actions would be a good enough cover for her investigations. She gently took the glass from his hand, no need to overdo it and if she was luckily she could get this tested later. “I’ve never been a gambler, but who knows tonight might be our luckily night.â€
  20. The Countess is more than she seems! She has Emotion Control (love) 6, though it's more loyality than love. So I need a Will save DC 16 from Rene. You can choose to deliberately fail of cause, the plot will work either way...
  21. After a few minutes the man returned and with a nod they were carefully escorted to the two guards on the stairs. They were as expected searched for weapons and the guard on Constance was a little more through than expected, producing a rather wicked looking dagger from the recesses of her skirts. Rene’s pistol wasn’t found, and it was probably best to speculate where she hidden the item. Once they were thoroughly searched they were allowed to climb the stair alone and told to enter the room alone. Within a rather plain room at the end of the corridor was the woman they had been sent to investigate the mysterious Countess of Domrémy. She wasn’t what most would consider a classical beauty, her face had angular sharp features, but this gave her a rather startling noble bearing. In defiance to modern trend she kept her hair dark hair in a page boy style. Her clothes were obviously of high quality, but she was dressed in what was masculine clothes. There was a certain, indefinable, je ne sais quoi about her. “I am the Countess of Domrémy, welcome to my humble abode. What can you two do to for my humble cause?†her voice had a strange harmonics as though two people were speaking at once.
  22. Drone's resistance 1d20=5, so he's shaken. Synth is up next.
  23. Survival : 1d20+2=8 Knowledge (Life Sciences) : 1d20+4=20 Notice : 1d20+10=26
  24. With such a pleasant picnic lunch and the landscape rolling below them it was easy to forget the purpose of this journey and instead just enjoy each other’s company. But Lord Steam marvellous vessels had quite a turn of speed, unexpected for such a design, and it was soon drawing near its destination. As it did a call came down from the speaking tube. “I think you and your guests should see this my Lord.†As they all came onto the bridge they could see what the problem was. In an almost perfectly clear sky was a low lying, large bank, of clouds sitting menacingly above an island. Slowly and painful the airship climbed as it drew nearer to the cloud bank, until it was nearly upon them as they could she what lurked above the clouds. Sat above the clouds was the large menacing shape of a zeppelin like airship, a sleek things of gentle curves of canvas and steel that almost seemed as if it was in black and white. Surrounding this was an airborne armada of Avians patrolling around the airship.
