  1. Kam looked after the fleeting form of Not!Leroy and the clearly distressed Judy trying to stitch together what sat so very wrong about this entire situation. "Something isn't right." he murmured, "Danica may be, awkward at times but.." he mused as she dropped her plate to the floor and made her startling shout. Of course Micah had clued in to a few other key mysteries as well and drew further attention to thier predicament. Looking with concern to Robin then the others who were flinched in pain suddenly he steeled himself, this was beyond any prank gone wrong, Eira was not so cold and if that sword was any sign her and Pan were no more in on this than the rest of the students. "We need to know what's happening before we start blasting." he agreed with Robin and moved to head off Judy's planned blast and whatever egging on 'Cassanova' was pushing. "This isn't the Doom Room doing this." he corrected, "At least not just the Doom Room." he paused and looked at the wall where Pans sword had pierced the wall, "If this was just the simulation being manipulated Pan wouldn't need a sword to free himself and Eira." There was more too this they just needed to know what, worse he suspected that some of hte students were not who or perhaps even what they appeared to be. But that tidbit wasn't going to lessen anyones panic.
  2. Alright Reflex Save is 1d20+8=20 So it just barely avoids the snare. The Thing Full Action: Self Heal 1d20+3=19 @Exaccus Jovian is up.
  3. Spaceman could see, or feel rather, space close in on the amorphous mass, could feel it slow before the fluid form flowed free once more. It was weakening, they just needed to keep the pressure up. The blackened scorched mass of slag where the Jovians blast had struck rolled along hte surface of the Thing as it tried to reconstitute itself. Thin streaming tendrils seeped from the central mass latching onto rubble and structure alike. Where the tendrils struck scintilating red light lit up along the material before it dissolved absorbed into the Things growing form. The same light flared over the wound and the mass flexed and returned to the fluidity of the remaining blob of devouring nanites. As the Thing healed it's damaged form limbs and faces emerged in it's surface some taking on the color and texture of skin before roiling back into the blob once more. Almost as if some part of what it was remembered the forms it had absorbed.
  4. Gonna say Bright took out the one with the big gun. The Royals will draw their own weapons and open fire on the 88's diving for cover. Two will fire at each with the last two taking pot shots and any left standing 10 x 1d20+1= [9, 16, 6, 5 , 19, 17, 13 , 11, 4, 11] That'll be a hit on one and two hits on another. The rest hit surrounding buildings/vehicles it doesn't look like anyone in the crowd is hit, at least not enough to slow them down in the panicked fleeing west down Baltimore with the bulk of the crowd. Toughness saves 3x1d20+4=[6,7,24] the one hit once is knocked to bleeding out, the one hit twice is knocked to bleeding out but the second bullet doesn't finish him off. Crowds Action they panic. The bulk running down Baltimore Ave toward grenville/ashton. Some run for doors and other streets that are less crowded but the bulk is moving as a group. DC: 16 notice or sense motive check from everyone success reveals: ROUND 2 30 ???   5. As Ms. Bright came off the van her target was clear. The thug with the rocket launcher dropped the now useless tube dodging back from Shooting stars attack. Lining him up perfectly for a vicious elbow to the face from Ms. Bright. His nose crunched with a wet meaty sound and his knees went out his eye rolling back in his head and he collapsed in a heap. The crowd was abuzz with uncertainty bordering on panic at the explosion shattering windows up and down the street and the falling chips of masonry from the blast. The Royals were less timid and seized on the chaos erupting to hit back at the almost drive-by. They didn't bother to seek cover as their foes were neatly disarmed and pulled free their own weapons opening fire in mass at the cowering 88's. The fusilade was enthusiastic as were their whoops of victory, their aim did not match their enthusiasm however and not even half the shots found their marks and two of the 88's collapsed in bleeding heaps on the ground. The civilians were no longer undecided, the pull of a hero fight was not enough to keep them in the middle of a gun fight and enmass they scattered the bulk surging down baltimore toward Grenville in mad rush any not able to keep up with the crush risking being trampled by the others as they made their mad dash to safety.

  7. Well it certainly can be trapped, it's just been rolling real well on those reflex saves. Now that it's clear it's all one entity it might be easier to imprison? Punch again seems to have no effect. That'll be a reflex save from Spaceman vs snare DC 20 as it tries to suck him in on the punching. It continues to be dazed so Jovian is up.
  8. So they're minions so you could take ten. But that'll still hit cus they are also not much of a threat. toughness is a 17 so he'll go down.

Kanunu watched Emerald Spiders swing in a long arc up to the roof and unleash a burst of whatever strang energy the nimble hero wielded with such skill. the one shouting orders was finally silenced and he let his guard down just a bit, was it over? He'd relaxed too soon as the hulking brute burst through both the building and the protective dome he'd erected with almost no effort. The villain was on him with crushing force knocking the air from his lungs as he was slammed to the ground in the foes iron grasp. The dome of water already fractured from the assault shattered with the Hawaiian heroes concentration collapsing and drenching the combatants and vehicles alike in a sudden deluge. Kanunu struggled weakly for purchase but was still trying to clear his head enough to focus on the brutish enemy and was unable ot mount any meaningful resistance pinned helpless to the concrete in a daze of pain and disorientation.
  10. I did actually have Kanunu step inside his water dome lat round but I'm happy to take the HP for the setback. Toughness 1d20+15=23 Welp look like I'm a need those HP, Don't wanna end up staggered in the first volley so HP for reroll 1d20+15=26 and the absolute worst I can do on that reroll nice orokos, nice .... That's a fail by 9 so bruised and dazed. Grapple check 1d20+33=36 Fail by six is bound and helpless. My round. Still dazed. You know what I'm not gonna give Orokos more opportunity to disappoint me today. Kanunu will have his bell rung.

  12. The Thing is dazed and it is now clear that the entire pool and the arms are one contiguous entity that is at least partially metallic in nature, given the remnants from the damaged arms that melted under the attack. Spaceman is up @RocketLord

The searing blast struck the Thing scorching the arms it flug up in defense leaving a mix of molten slag and fine ash lingering on the concrete floor where the superheated bolt bore through the protective layers that were flung up almost as fast as they were destroyed. The damaged limbs slithered back and coalesced into the pool which visibly grew as the mass of hte ams was added back to it and bowed up slightly into a slightly throbbing roiling mas of liquid metal sill glowing where it shed the heat absorbed from Jovains blast. They hadn't subdued it by they had bought time. While it tried to recover the heroes could still seize the upper hand.

  15. Oh fluff! Overall story is pretty solid. I assume Z-space was a choice due to wanting an in with Justice in EC but the more magically inclined version is the Void used by Phantom and Ouroboros (which I should probably touch bases with RL about the distinction at some point) or given the characters history the Dreamlands as relates to Sandman
  16. I'll start with the Dreamer herself. Stats: I see what you're going for with the weak and sickly thing. But penalties to strength and con can bite you in some kinds of threads/fights. Not something that needs fixing but something to consider. combat: I'm not seeing any accurate on the powers that could use it so she's undercapped and the combat block is incorrect about her powers attack ranks. saves: toughness should be -1 con +12 protection skills: It's a tight build so not much for it but most of these are too low to make most DCs even at PL7. You have jack of all trades so rank one in a skill does almost nothing for you. pick one or tow and try to get something in the plus 8-10 range in the skills she's good at. the rest can rest on attr bonus. feats: Inventor really isn't doing you any good with her skills as they are. Jack of all trades probably worthwhile with decent mental attributes as she has. Attractive as flavor choice is fine but mechanically not generally very worth it. Powers: Summon array, precise is a one rank power feat perhaps you meant accurate? that would fit with your combat block. You wouldn't need accurate on perception range move object though so that should probably be 1 precise and you can go up to indirect 3 with the other point there. For snare neither precise nor accurate make alot of sense on an area snare unless it's a targeted area. You're probably better off sinking those points into getting the snare up to PL though. Noticeable isn't a valid drawback on protection that isn't permanent (forcefield makes it sustained duration) I personally prefer "shield" be described per UP as enhanced feats: dodge focus with shield as a descriptor. Transform technically would need affects object (extra) and limited:objects only(flaw) which would not change the cost but should be noted. Continuous transform at near PL is a hard sell, not disallowed and in this case probably fine since inanimate only. just something to keep in mind. There's some feedback to start. I'll see if I can take a look at the summon when I'm less sleepy if no one beats me too it.
  17. Despite Spacemans efforts to warp space around the writhing tentacle he smashed through the grasp of his powers with barely a hint of resistance. In the flickering light of the flares it seemed to hold an almost metallic sheen as it dove into yet another pile of rubble to withdraw some abandoned stainless steel shelving. The awkward shape was hurled with deadly force directly at Jovian tumbling end over end in a chaotic wild rush. Whatever cunning this Thing held it was one tracked and reactive more than strategic or even tactical. Both could sense a throbbing movement at the pool as a hand and arm seemed to erupt from the surface only to melt away and fall back into the roiling mass. Both the arm and the much larger pseudopods did not disturb the surface they emerged from, instead tapering to meld seamlessly with the pool that was slowly shrinking as more of it's mass was pumped into new ropey tentacles to grasp at the walls and piles of rubble around it as if bracing for something.
  18. Alrighty then! Things Grapple Check: 1d20+25=45 It is not grappled but also unaware that it could have been. It will continue to focus it's attacks on Jovian Move: Pick up rubble. Standard: throw! 1d20+10=17 That will miss I believe if barely. IC incoming then @Exaccus Jovian is up.
  19. First off perception range means you'd need to perceive what you're trying to grab with an accurate sense. From my read of the spacial sense it wouldn't really be able to "see" inside the Thing. So you can target the pseudopod and grapple it but pulling anything out of it wouldn't really work. Secondly, there isn't anything to pull out. While you certainly saw a face emerge from the thing when you punched in there was nothing to grab where any body attached to that face should have been. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Let me know if you want to continue the grapple to try to hold the Thing in place for Jovian to shoot or if you want to try something different.
  20. Just to square away where we are with timezones and sie outages making things tricky to meet up in chat. The Thing has two Pseudopods out from the pool of whatever is over there. humanoid faces have been seen in the surface of the things Pseudopod but nothing appears to be inside it. Hand to hand attacks sink in and start to pull the attacker in. They also thus far have not been effective. It recoiled from the Heat based attack Jovian put out. It has a very fluid freeform motion too it making it so far adept at avoiding ensnarement. Spaceman is currently Up. @RocketLord

"I think the dorms are next up." he suggested and looked from Muirne to Veronica, "Wouldn't want to pull you away from your workout too long." he paused with a small shrug, "Or come along certainly." he offered easily and started leading the new arrival toward the gyms side entrance toward the dorm buildings. "You and Àjàṣorò can offer the feminine perspective on our living situation." he suggested with an easy laugh. "They still maintain separate living spaces for male and female students." he explained with a small sigh, "cliched and outdated perhaps but your restroom will likely be cleaner for it."
  22. Kam relaxed slightly under Robins touch letting out a small calming breath at her good humor. He did tend to take things a bit too seriously at times. "That discomfort at least is normal." he replied as Danica flung herself onto the dance floor and Pan madea bee line after eira, "Well that will be resolved one way or another by the end of the night." he opined and looked back at his date as she asked her question looking for a moment quite like a deer caught in the headlights as he tried to fish for what an appropriate response would for the careful slice of himself he'd exposed. He was sufficiently focused to miss the vanishing door entirely. He offered a small shrug, "Well I came here in pursuit of something of the sort." he replied with a wan smile. The admission said alot about how far off the mark of normal the young man was. He didn't meet Robins answering gaze, guilt from even the slight duplicity still gnawing at him. Leroy back in his green suit and with no Judy did catch his eye and he placed a hand on Robins arm, "Something isn't right here." he murmured, "A prank to play at Leroy would be one thing but once the genuine article showed up there is no reason to maintain the farce unless..." Unless the true appearance would draw further unwanted attention to the false student. He slowly swiveled trying not to look too on guard, "I don't see Eira or Pan back yet so it could be another prank but ..." Not their style. He shot Robin a warning glance, "Well they said it would be a night to remember."
