  1. (GM Post) "Of course, that makes a lot of sense. Teamwork is important everywhere. Everyone always complains about group projects but no one wants to be the person who doesn't pull their weight." He said, trying to keep a little bit of a joke going in this interview. "Everyone always thinks of bands as people waiting to go off on solo acts, but those solo acts never do succeed as well as the groups, unless you're really lucky." he chuckled. There was some feedback in both of their ears. Just a little. Enough that Thomas looked at the machinery. "Sorry Folks, seems to be a bug in the equipment. Anyway, Bernie, why don't we play one of your songs, right now? We'll give everyone a great taste of your-" The feedback screeched through the ears and left ringing in both Thomas and Bernie's ears. Thomas grabbed his ears and pulled his own headset off. All that he could hear- all that Bernie could hear-, was the ringing of the feedback for a moment. Thomas opened his mouth to talk. Nothing came out. He was moving his lips and talking, but no sound was coming out. Bernie didn't FEEL deaf. What was happening? A Door banged open at the side, but there was no sound. There was no sound as another student ran in, clearly screaming. There was no sound as she yelled something, pointing outside and saying something rapidly. Thomas was making furious gestures himself, confused and concerned. The student pointed and said something. Then she gave up, pulled out her phone, and texted something. Thomas checked his own phone and read it. His face went quite pale, and he turned, showing the text to Bernie. "The Maestro is on Campus. He's turned off all the sound in the entire campus. We need to shelter in place."
  2. (GM Post) The charge nurse looked at Echohead like she was finally getting aware of his actions, and a frown crossed her face as she got closer to him. "I'm sorry, sir...are you okay? You seem uncomfortable...are you ill or something?" she asked with clear concern. "...If you need to rest, or some water or tea, we can get you some, if you need it." she offered, reaching nearby to get a glass of water for him. "Take a deep breath." she was in nurse mode now, trying to take care of Echohead. "Do you need to sit down?" "Um, Patient Zero? So like the original, you mean. We actually moved him down to the morgue. In the basement...." she looks quite upset now, sad, guilty. "...I was the one that had him moved. And the first person that changed was one of the people I had help move him...I should have done it myself." she said with a level of very direct frustration. "...I'm sorry. I shouldn't be pitying myself. I can keep everyone in here locked up, and I can give you my badge to make sure you can get anywhere in the hospital." Agent Shine finally responded, a little crackly. "Noted, 25 people in the hospital. We'll make sure to send someone in once the situation is resolved."
  3. Charging down the monorail, the human turned alien creature was focusing intently on chasing after the metallic man once he was sure everyone was disembarked relatively safely. He always felt like he was an E.M.T. first, and a Superhero second, so often when confronted with such situations, he leaned towards support rather then actually stopping villains. This lead to a lack of experience on his part, in some ways, and that meant he made mistakes. Like the mistake of not solidly placing his footing as he was dashing down the slick, metal monorail track, meaning as he raised a foot he slipped, sending himself careening off at full speed. He was able to phase through a building using his ghostly form, but as he slowed down- his velocity being robbed by the inability to continue running-, he could not longer maintain his intangibility and instead he smashed into an awning, crashing through it and down into the fruit stand before, scattering apples and other fruit all across the road. He groaned, a nasty bruise on one of his legs, as he stood up slowly. "...That hurt..." he grunted, frowning on his long horse face. But he spied an apple and his horse-like alien instincts took over, and he could not stop himself from grabbing one off the ground, shining it up, and taking a heavy chomp out of it. The horse quietly ate his apple, waiting a bit, before dashing off again after the metal man.

"AH!" Michael screamed as he was suddenly back in his body. He lit up like a Christmas tree, bathing the entire dorm room in a sudden red gold light he was in the middle of a fight with a mighty supervillain. He looked around frantically, eyes wide, before realizing he was back in his room. "C..Carmen!? Hi!?" he said in a tense voice. "Did you see an M. Bison Rip-off running around!? Dictator?! Raul Julia!?" he said, looking around. "Wait, no. Iris!" he looked back at the twins, then turned to his dorm room door. "WE NEED A NURSE IN HERE. SOMEONE GET THE SCHOOL NURSE!" he yelled down the hall, his voice booming and echoing down the hall to try and get someone's attention. "STUDENT DOWN!" he was aggressively trying to take control of the situation, the same way Carmen knew him when he was in the middle of a Superhero fight. Once he finished calling out and focused, he continued glowing, but looked around sharply, not trusting they were safe just yet. "Carmen. This is going to sound quite ridiculous, but we were just sucked into that game console. We had to fight the boss of some Doom rip-off. General Sparks, M. Bison kinda guy. It's been a bit rough. Did you see him come out before we did? I buried him in his tower as it collapsed on him but if we got out he might have as well."
  6. the amusing part about how Dwayne is built is that his actual stats are quite low, resulting in a Speedster with very low Dex/Acrobatics. I find this funny, at least. Dex Results 1d20+2: 7 [1d20=5] He fails! In Speedster form, his Toughness Save is +8, so Toughness Results 1d20+8: 18 [1d20=10] Rough start, gets a bruise there.
  7. The Galloping Ghost let out an annoued neigh and stomped it's hooved foot at the little metal man. The little creature was clearly a danger to everyone! But the people still on the monorail were also in danger. He didn't hace time to weigh all his options, he had to trust his gut and go from there. The Galloping Ghost reared back again and dashed towards the monorail instead of the metal man. His goal was simple; help them off the monorail, make sure everything was under control in the crash zone, then pursue the metal man across the city. Was this the correct decision? Only time would tell. But he had to do what he thought was right.
  8. "You got it, Bolt." he said, taking a handful of the grenades and being careful in dealing with the board. He definitely needed that since he was still helping Parker, and he was just about out himself, so a chance to 'rest' by just hurling grenades from a hoverboard would be okay. Provided he could manage to stay on the thing. "I'll try to bring it back in one piece. As soon as something shows up spooky, I'll head over right at it. And when you need my help, I'll be right back, don't worry." he nodded firmly. So he was ready if something bad showed up.
  9. I will instead delay until the next GM post so I'm prepared with the hoverboard and grenades!
  10. (Golden Star Post) Almost a kiss. They had gotten so close, and then his book came alive and spewed out a...cartoony Mike Fink. He had no idea what was going on anymore. But he wanted to echo Carmen's own frustrations. "You gotta be kidding me..." he said, keeping a hand on Carmen's hip as he watched the fairy tale heroes appear with loud, annoying antics, then flee into the city. He truly had no idea what was going on, and he just had to stare in confusion and befuddlement as they fled. "What...is...happening." he finally managed to say once all the creatures had dispersed into the city and he finally realized what had just happened while he was staring. Then when the librarian screamed and ran down the stairs, then tripped and fell, he looked at her, then at Carmen. "...I get the feeling we're about to have some homework to do, Carmen." he mumbled to her, before moving towards the collapsed woman. "Are...are you okay?" He asked, walking towards her with another glance at Carmen.
  11. (GM Post) "That's right! Fightin' Mike Fink!" the little bushy bearded man said, cracking his knuckles. "I'm the snapping turtle! Six Foot Three oarsman, and I can out-run, out-hop, out-jump, throw-down, drag-out and lick any man in the country, and that includes you, you little rapscallion." He said, suddenly raising his dukes at Carmen and Michael. Then he grinned. "Alright, we're out of here gang!" he called to the other tiny creatures, and a palmtop John Henry, Mike Fink, and a slightly bigger Paul Bunyan- plus his Babe the Big Blue Ox- quickly fled down the stairs causing havoc, smashing cars and knocking over fire hydrants. They may have been very tiny, but they were clearly pretty strong, maybe as strong as the Claremont students themselves, as they caused havoc. Meanwhile, a librarian looking young woman ran out of the library itself, her dark hair bobbing in a ponytail as she dashed down the stairs holding a strange looking book. She was chasing what appeared to be a cartoon William Tell, who was shooting arrows seemingly at random. "Come baaaaack! Wait! I didn't want this to happen!" The nerd looking girl yelled as she tripped and fell down the stairs with a thud, sending the book flying. But the four cartoony book characters had fled into the city proper
  12. can I throw one at the Time Twister even though it'll bounce off his shield?
  13. Sure, let's do that. so that's a Stun 8? So should I just go ahead and make a ranged attack roll to chuck them around? Presumably flying towards a big group of them and tossing

As Michael twisted in the air, still unable to break the tower down, his frustration was getting even higher, until his aura was bright red with frustration. When General Sparks came down towards him, he glanced up and swiftly moved to the side, sending the General plummeting downwards. But he didn't let him go. He grabbed the General by the back of the cape and held him, gripping him with both hands. Then he started to spin, twisting in mid air around and around like a giant, boiling top, General Sparks turning into a smear of purple around the top as they spun. "I WANT YOU! AND YOUR TOWER! TO FALL DOWN!" Michael finally yelled as he released the General, hurling him with tremendous force directly into the weak spot in the tower!
  15. Michael was sad to hear Bernie couldn't come, but he expected it. He was really impressed with how ready she was for the next stage of her life. She had been a big help to adjusting him to Claremont itself, and he was never going to forget that, but he also knew it was very likely their paths wouldn't cross that much in the future; she had her own team, she had her own goals and job, and he was still finishing his education. They might meet from time to time, but they'd not be fellow students anymore. So he was very supportive and very positive for everything Bernie did, and he bought her music and wore her shirts when he could. He'd always be a fan, and he'd always enjoy their friendship and the time they stopped the Maestro, but he knew there was only so much time in one's life. So he was happy with what he had with his friendship with her and Charlie. "HAHA! GOT YOU DANIEL!" Sam said, slapping the cabinet in victory and pumping her fist. "Whose next!?" she barked, cheerful and bold at her continuing dominance over her little slice of the arcade. For a girl who often seemed outcast and alone at Claremont, this was one of the places where she seemed to be spreading her figurative wings cheerfully. Meanwhile Michael was smiling at Lawrence and his new friend. He had his same cheerful disposition. Lawrence might have been away for a bit, but Michael considered him his friend. While he hadn't been spending time in the Doom Room, he had been putting in his own effort; Michael had been pushing his own limits every day, harder and harder, and he was starting to actually not be- to his mind- a drag on his friends when trying to save the city. He looked between Lynn and Lawrence and nodded. "It's nice to see you Lawrence. I'm glad you're doing okay." he said directly to him, as if Lawrence hadn't been missing at all. He wasn't going to make it weird or awkward, he was just going to be the supportive friend, the same thing he'd promised to be on that beach several months ago. "And, Lynn? It's nice to meet you. Are you his cousin or something? I'm Michael Adon, one of Lawrence's classmates. That's Sam, she's also one of our students." Michael extended his hand to shake it, and at the same time, Sam herself turned to wave. "Yo, newbie! You play Street Fighter!? Let's go some rounds! If you don't know I'll teach you."
  16. sure, you can skim her surface thoughts. The major thing she's getting is anxiety. She's really hoping that the Uearth delegation will start producing some ratings; really all of the groups, but you're talking to the Uearth Tun. She's not planning to betray you or anything as far as you can tell, she's more concerned about getting her ratings than anything, it's a constant, gnawing fear.
  17. (GM Post) "Excellent! How about you take an interviewer or respondent position?" Tun asked, clapping her hands out of synch again. "That way you don't have to fight and you can tell your stories for these fighters. And maybe we can hook you up so you can give them strategy and stuff? If you don't want to fight at least." she smiled. "I can respect that; it can be hard to find exactly where you fit in in entertainment. But if you wanna be a star, Tun will make you a star!" the AI said with firm belief. The AI presented her with a microphone and one of the camera drones suddenly, smiling her far too wide smile the whole time. "Why don't you take the first chance; with our Shooting Star lady here, and Mr. Pan of course!" She pointed. "Why don't you give them a bit of an interview. Ask her a question or two, something that could make people feel for her. Put in some of your own stories, and we'll have a real place to go. You know, I'll lead you in with 'here's our latest correspondent, interviewing two of Uearth's competitors before they begin their fighting in the arena!', and then you take the reigns from there." she said excitedly. Meanwhile, with Diamondlight, the Cameras and the learning AI were slowing down. Now that he wasn't playing as well, they weren't learning as fast, which meant other players were also winning more; Diamondlight really was the pace setter here, it seemed. The person that Diamondlight was talking to was a large, humanoid avian alien; bird talons, bird beak, bird like face, but on a human like skeleton with two wings, in blue and black feathers and a nasty looking scar on it's chest. The bird chirped a little. "The Titans Three go where we please, To find what's fun and have some glee." it threw down some chips. "I don't know much about this specific card game, but why don't you tell me your name?"
  18. The Galloping Ghost stalled out as the metal man disappeared. He didn't really have any way to track it, and if the creature was evil, and was going to continue to harass the area, he'd likely be able to try and track it down then; if the creature was as much of a troublemaker as it seemed to be, he probably wouldn't be waiting around too long. "...Dang. Okay then." He mumbled, turning around to head back to the monorail. If the creature was gone for now, that meant he was ready to get back to his actual job. The Galloping Ghost made his way back to the monorail car, preparing to use his Ghostly powers to assist anyone who needed help getting down. "Alright, let's try and evacuate this poor monorail before anything worse happens." He said, his horse-man face contorting into a frown as he made his way back to the monorail.
  19. Gonna try and grab him. Doing an All-Out attack to reduce my Defense by 2 to increase my Attack by 2 for this. Attack Roll Results 1d20+9: 22 [1d20=13] Grapple Roll Results 1d20+26: 29 [1d20=3]
  20. "General Dalekos. It's a pleasure to meet you." Michael said with absolute confidence and certainty. He'd never actually seen an Atlantean up close, but that was okay. He assumed Atlanteans were good people, I mean, that's what they always said. And he had a softspot for Art Deco So he didn't feel like he needed to be on guard or anything. He was just floating there in his Claremont uniform very casually apart from the Atlantean, then offered his hand. "I'm Michael Adon, Sophomore at Claremont Academy in Freedom City. Me and several of my classmates are on a field trip to meet a group of Deep Ones, being chaperoned by Sea Devil, a Freedom City Heroine and Deep One, and Mrs. Harcourt, one of the teachers at our school. Me and my other classmates are having a fun, enjoyable time learning about their culture. We weren't expecting to learn about other cultures besides the Deep Ones. Are you also part of the trip? Will we get to see the inside of your ship and learn about your culture? I'm quite interested in the design of your ship in particular, it shares some similarities with human architecture, and I'm curious if that was convergent design or intentional."
  21. (GM Post) The battle-suit beeped and tumbled under the flames that curled and licked the air, but the man shook his head, forcing hies way through the hooks that the cat creature tried to put on his mind. "You're a spooky one, I'll give you that." He hissed through the flames. "You're right I can't risk burning up my paycheck, but if you wanna play the hostage game, how about I do it too. You want me to burn up your frien-" He stopped because he was bringing his hands around to threaten the rest of the group, and instead Kazra had violently leaped out of the tree directly at the burning man! With nothing but animal skins and a knife, she still went recklessly to defend her charges, and a knife of sharp metal sunk into the suit of the armored man. They both went down, even as Kazra caught fire from the aura of the suit, crashing through the treetops and into the ground with a thud.
  22. Alright! Let's take a look! DC 20 Will Save! Will Save Results 1d20+8: 23 [1d20=15] He makes a great save on that somehow. That leaves Neko at 1HP if she burns off the fatigue with a HP. Kazra will take advantage to leap at the guy! She's taking advantage of Favored Environment (Jungle) to add +2 to her attacks. Attack Roll Results 1d20+15: 26 [1d20=11] That hits, so he'll have to save at DC 20 Toughness Results 1d20+8: 10 [1d20=2] He fails by 10, so he's Dazed and Staggered! That's going to end up dropping him. She's going to need to resist getting burnt up by his fire aura at rank 3, so DC 18. Toughness Save Results 1d20+6: 11 [1d20=5] she hurts herself again with a Daze/Bruise but worth it to her. making IC post, then @Thevshi Timeout's turn Round 2 Neko: 28, 1HP Kazra: 26, Dazed, 2x Bruised Timeout: 21, 4HP Esquire: 21, 1x Bruise, Everyone has Total Concealment from him. Drones: 13, 5 of them Hotshot: 10, Dazed, Staggered Daniel: 4, Bruise Iris: 4 2HP
  23. "That was rude!" said the ghostly centaur, rubbing it's face with it's hand in some level of shock. What was this bizarre creature!? Then it was suddenly gone again! "Where did you go!?" he said in shock, his eyes swiveling, then seeing the metal form. "Oh no." He looked around, looked at the driver of the monorail, and his horsely face was clearly trying to work through this. "You have emergency exit protocols right? You work on those. I'll keep this 'Mister Me' and it's minions away from the train, but you'll have to help disembark. There's emergency services ready to help; maybe one of the ladder trucks can help disembark people." He spoke, relying heavily on the translator before he refocused, looking down the track at the humanoid metal goblin and rushing down towards it, trailing whispers of ghostly 'ectoplasm' as the ghostly creature that needed no rider rushed down the great monorail tracks!
  24. I don't think a big drawn out chase scene is ideal, and Mizuki isn't that much slower than Veruiz at least by the ranks, though in full on speed she is a little slower, so she'd have to put some fatigue in or something I suppose if it came down to it. I'm not super worried about it that much though as long as we're all on the same belief that this is a friendly competition then a real rivalry thing. I'd probably just settle it with a roll off with Veruiz getting a +2 circumstance bonus due to her being a little faster or something, if that's how you two are fine with it.
