  1. 1d20+2=22;1d20+15=34 Untrained search and a very trained stealth check respectively.
  2. Shaking her arm she let out a grunt. "Wasn't really expecting that to work," she muttered under her breath as her target was already getting back to his feet and making for the exit. Wisp rushed out the doors behind the blur of Downtime's time-sped form. Seeing the busy street and no sign of a chronological disturbance, Vicky began searching for the subtler signs of a trail. A few minutes after she began, the sight of bills gently moving in the wind and a few footprints in the usual back-ally muck lead her to a closed warehouse, still in quality condition. Oh yeah, that isn't suspicious at all, she thought and began a check for traps while remaining as quiet as possible.
  3. Wisp is going to be activating goon-sweep on the teleport array. 1d20+13=32. And with that roll, going to use Extra Effort and stunt Improved Critical onto the attack as well. Looks like a DC 30 Toughness save for the lot of them.
  4. I guess I'll have to take 20 on a search check because I currently lack the investigative skills. Total result is going to be a 22.
  5. Wisp finished her second helping of chili before most of the group was more than two-thirds done with their first. Polishing the last of it off as Marceau asked his question she paused a moment to chew and swallow her mouthful. "You know, that's a rather good question actually. I never really thought about how it works so much as being glad that it works, you know? All I can really tell you is that it burns calories like you wouldn't believe and feels kind of like taking a long step through a corridor filled by one of those fog machines." "As for the pit, not a problem. No point in trying to dig one when one person can take care of several shovelfuls worth in just a few seconds," she added.
  6. Actually AA, Wisp has evasion 2 so even on a failed reflex she only takes half damage so she shouldn't be bruised at all yet. Not that it matters, she'd regen it on her turn. Speaking of which, 1d20+7=26
  7. Wisp's always been a Sci-Fi fan and while she might not have been around for Sputnik or Apollo 11, she loves her Star Wars and Star Trek so any chance to be involved to "boldly go where no one has gone before" *cue Enterprise warp sound effect here*, she'd be all over that.
  8. "Which room is yours? I can gather up the club list and jot down some suggestions for books and electronics. Army surplus, I'm afraid I don't know so well around here so that one might take some internet research. Or the yellow pages, whichever," she replied. Vicky slung an arm around Morgan's shoulders and gave him a peck on the cheek before looking back to John, "He's just upset that he didn't stop all the glass and metal bits from the booby trapped door. At least Guy Fawkes got what was coming to him." "And hey, it was a great night out. We didn't get everywhere I wanted to go but the one place I'm thinking of isn't exactly a first date kind of store...," she added to Morgan, enjoying the look on his face as his mind worked.
  9. Vicky paused for a moment before answering John's question. "Well, the school has several clubs. We've got a writing group, art club, anime club, gaming group, and I think a fight club but they say the first rule about that last one is you don't talk about it. Sorry, Fight Club jokes are too easy. I can get you a list of what the school has for clubs. Other than the clubs, most of the students with powers here tend to slip out for a patrol somewhere in the area every couple days. There's also the nearby-ish mall, though I think it's still under repair..."
  10. 1d20+14=33 Notice check for a trail of dropped swag or some such.
  11. While she lacks loads and loads up lifting capacity, Wisp can carry about half a ton as a max load..., though Cape's "I can teleport anywhere in the universe" gig kinda negates half of what she brings to the table... If you have an idea for an acrobatic, sneaky, high strength, short-range teleporter, I'd love to join on this hunt. If not, I'll live.
  12. 1d20+7=10. As of this posting, I am officially pissed at Invisible Castle...
  13. Wisp paused for a second before saying, "Probably best to go with street clothes if you're okay with that. Women going in wearing body-hugging costumes will probably draw more attention than we're looking for tonight." Giving Grim a slight smirk she added, "Though, I know where to run for my prom dress." Pulling her bag on she adjusted it so it sat against her right hip, and patiently waited for Grim to head out first.
  14. Reflex save. 1d20+8=17. But due to Evasion 2, Wisp now needs a DC 20 tough and... fails miserably. Hero point blown, 1d20+7 (+10 for hero point use) = 23
  15. 1d20+13=26 for an unarmed attack.
  16. Looking past the guard, Wisp tried to find the source of the alarm. While she couldn't find an actual person, she did see an odd blur moving through the crowd, one woman's rather glittery necklace vanished as it passed her. With an annoyed growl and an effort of will, she vanished from the doorway and appeared just to the right of the blur's path, her right arm held out in a clothesline.
  17. 1d20+14=23 to spot Downtime in the casino.
  18. "I like it," Wisp said moving next to Cannonade. Turning her head towards Atlas she added, "The genius of this plan is it's simplicity." She moved down the alley, keeping an eye out for any bodies, undead or not, as she moved down into the dark. With some luck, these will be the only ones and all that's left is some geek in a lab coat I can lay out in one punch. she thought to herself. Of course, when do things ever run that smoothly?
  19. Wisp enjoyed her "jog", a combination of patrolling, parkour and teleportation, along the rooftops of Freedom City. The wind blowing her snow white hair back while her eyes kept a keen lookout for trouble and she found it. One of the casinos seemed to be in the midst of an emergency of some sort. Being the kind of girl willing to lend a hand, or a fist as the situation dictates, she altered her course and came to a stop a few yards from one of the private security guards the casino employed. Walking slowly, with her hands at her sides, palms showing she asked, "Is there a problem? I heard the alarm while on patrol."
  20. Wisp nodded solemnly, "My allowance will not survive this night. A moment of silence for the pre-paid credit card my parents sent me here with would be appropriate I believe." She bowed her head, her bangs shielding her face. After a moment she brightened, "So, where to first? If you guys don't mind, I'd like to swing by whatever book store the mall has while we're here. I just finished The Gathering Storm and I need my Wheel of Time fix."
  21. Wisp took the gun and stuck the clip in her belt against the small of her back. "Actually, not really. My mother skipped the Soviet weaponry lessons when raising me in the bilingual household," she said, taking a few steps to the side. Gingerly she placed the weapon on the ground and walked back to the group. "Besides, I was born after the dissolution of the Soviet Union." As the police sirens came closer Wisp nodded, "Yeah, the cops around here aren't particularly thrilled with people holding assault weapons, especially foreign military. It makes them grumpy."
  22. "I've worked with Cannonade actually. During that fustercluck in the subway. Guy took some snake-guy's teeth easily," Vicky agreed, moving around the car to join her dates for the evening. "I can't take a hit well but I get right back up again, the perks of a healing factor," Vicky said, keeping her voice low so only Morgan and Janis could hear her. "And, in the immortal words of Keanu Reeves, 'I know kung-fu'. ...Well, that's a lie but I've got the basics of Systema and Krav Maga down." "Well, if tonight actually goes smoothly, how 'bout a patrol tomorrow night?"
  23. Vicky let loose the kind of smile that cats get when cornering mice. "That shouldn't be a problem. We'll show you to the computer lab and let you loose on Wikipedia and the TV tropes websites. They'll kill your life for a few days but you can start on one subject, like the history of swords, and end up somewhere completely different, like the page for Care Bears. Don't ask how I managed to do it but, that's how the internet works."
