  1. Vicky slipped out of the car on her side and gave a smile and nodded her head towards Janis. "I don't know, I'm betting you guys have that whole electro-shock therapy thing down. Which would of course leave me to administer the actual concussive therapy," she said after getting out her side of the car. "My grandfather fought in the Great Patriotic War so I'm especially annoyed by asshats like him. Or, since we've got a recurring theme going on, I need to paraphrase Jake Blues here, 'I hate New Jersey Nazis'."
  2. Wisp nodded grimly, "Indeed. Anyone who would let this bunch of freaks loose needs to be stopped. Preferably in a manner that will require dental work and a full body cast afterwords." She moved up next to Push and couldn't help but eye his motorcycle as she passed it. "By the by, love the ride. Any more handy surprises on the back of this beauty?" she asked.
  3. In response to Morgan's Look Vicky shrugged, "You're dating an anime nerd, did you expect anything less? I should have said dattebayo but I figured 'believe it!' being the English dub might have been more recognizable." To John, she added, "It's from a Japanese animated series, I'll have to run a few episodes on Netflix for you so you can see how terribad the English dub is." When John mentioned Pripyat she let out a low whistle, "Ballsy. I wouldn't go anywhere near there, with my luck I'd come out looking like Hiroshima Shadow." "Oh, my powers are hereditary. My mother's super-strong, bullet proof, the usual Centurion-like powers while my dad had the teleportation shtick. He doesn't have my range limitation though. When I moved in here, I didn't need to take a bus, plane, or train in from Chicago. Just a few stops with my bags along the way and we were here."
  4. Vicky nodded, "That's a pretty neat trick. Must make chores a breeze, sending a bunch of yourselves to get everything done at once. Not sure how useful it is to train like that though, it's kinda like playing chess against yourself isn't it?" She was about to change the subject when an idea crossed her mind, leaving her with a smile. "Say, can you put on an orange track suit and yell 'Believe it!'?"
  5. Wisp turned to the woman who's scream had drawn their attention, teleporting a few feet to her right she left in her previous position a pile of undead gore hidden by her bi-colored smoke. Walking slowly up she asked, in the calmest voice she could manage, "Ma'am, are you okay? You weren't bitten or zapped by them were you? Also, anything you can tell about them would be of immense help to us."
  6. I'd throw Wisp in. She's got a pretty good defense but if someone lands a hit, he's going to feel it given her toughness save. She's got good movement and can feint well. She can hit well but said blows aren't the strongest around either. She does however recover from a bruised condition every round with no action and no need for a roll...
  7. I can just hear Wisp after this, "Yay, I'm not stuck buying the burgers!"
  8. Wisp began another series of rabid strikes against their opponents, teleporting from one to the next and back again, causing bones to crack and bits of foul gore to fly off their bodies and stain her costume. When she finished three of the zombies lay in quivering pools of thick brown sludge that used to be their blood. Looking down at herself she muttered, "Well crap, Grim was right. This is going to take forever to wash out. I hope none of this goop is in my hair. So glad I'm wearing gloves right now..."
  9. Wisp shook her hand, clenching and unclenching her fist as she walked, trying to get the tingling to fade from her digits as she stepped towards Same and Gossamer. "Welcome to Freedom," she said, her words carrying her normally almost imperceptible Russian accent loud and clear. "My friends call me Wisp," she added holding out her still prickling hand. At Gossamer's comments Wisp looked skyward, "I'm sure he'll be fine. The guy's taken worse hits, or so he claims anyway. I think he just likes trying to one-up this cute boy I know... Worst case, he falls and I grab him about a football field or so from the ground," she commented. While her tone may have been a bit flippant concern showed on her face for her friend.
  10. "Well, I recover from minor injuries faster than normal and went from barely being able to lift my D&D book filled backpack to bench-pressing close to half a ton," she said, grabbing a seat on the end of the bench, all but pulling Morgan with her. "As for practice, I'd enjoy that. We'll have to schedule some time for you, my roommate Janis, Morgan, his roommate Brian, and I to get some training time in," she said, gears obviously turning in her head. Looking towards Morgan she asked, "You have any ideas for someplace we can cut loose? The Doom Room is off-limits for us and I haven't had much of a chance to check local gyms for a meta-human sparring policy. I haven't even checked her for anything more than a place to do basic workouts."
  11. 1d20+8=27 on Wisp's power-attack shifted auto-fire AoE attack. If you're not going to edit immunity/crits to the zombies, I'd like to power power stunt Improved Critical onto that... DC 30 toughness save for zombies 2, 3, and 5. DC 32 for zombie 4. If they're still vulnerable to crits, increase that to 32/37... Edit: Fixed some bad math of mine.
  12. A few minutes after Jubatus had finished the actual structure, Wisp had finished teleporting away the dirt for the upcoming cesspit. Her clothes had a light dusting of dirt on them, especially around the knees where she had knelt to maintain contact with the dirt she would be moving. "Shovels, bah," she said to Jubatus when they'd finished the outhouse, wiping sweat from her brow. "On the bright side, I think that is a new personal best. I've never done so much teleporting in such a short time." To punctuate her previous statement, her stomach rumbled loudly, indicating she had burned plenty of calories on the task and would require some intake soon. Looking down at her stomach she blushed slightly and muttered, "Shut up, I'll feed you later."
  13. Russian translation, "My grandfather fought in the Great Patriotic War. It will be an immense pleasure to reenact the march on Berlin with my fists and your face."
  14. Dodging the last of the radioactive blasts, from which she could almost hear a Geiger counter in her head telling her that those blasts were not something she wanted to experience first hand. Rolling of her dodge she focused on her teleporting ability and, in a poof of smoke that raised goosebumps on her skin, launched a series of strikes and kicks against the SS-clothed undead. "Мой дед воевал в Великой ОтечеÑтвенной войне. Это будет огромное удовольÑтвие воÑÑтанавливают марш на Берлин Ñ ÐºÑƒÐ»Ð°ÐºÐ°Ð¼Ð¸ и ваше лицо," she growled to her opponents, letting herself slip into Russian as her disgust made itself evident in her voice.
  15. Ah, I was confused because page 170 says,
  16. Before I post my IC, shouldn't the previously staggered ones have dropped as per the notes on 170 of the core book?
  17. Vicky smiled, "It isn't so bad. Morgan has it easy. The tree might leave him hanging by his ankle on an almost weekly basis but it is a tad more forgiving than some of the fire escapes I crashed into when I was getting the hang of my teleporting shtick. You'd be surprised how much flopping face first onto one of those can hurt and utterly destroy an otherwise perfect morning."
  18. 1d20+10=16. As per the note with the roll, dropping three points from attack and boosting her auto-fire AE, selective burst's damage to +10. So, unless there's been a defense loss on Nazi Zombies 1 & 4 I missed, Wisp misses them while hitting 2, 3, and 5 due to them being stunned. If I did the math and rules checking right, they should each have a DC 27 toughness save.
  19. I'm with 'Roo. This was good for post inflating but I think we've reached the end.
  20. Wisp sat slack jawed at other woman. Scooting over to open the door, "No, no I haven't made those kind of enemies. The handful of muggers who's nights I ruined know me by a different name. Sorry, I was just letting my mind wander and didn't put the parking brake on my mouth. I really have just watched too many bad action movies and I have a gamer's imagination, you have no idea how many zombie survival plots run across my head daily thanks to Max Brooks' novels." she said, trying to calm Grim down. Sliding back to her seat then patting the seat next to her Wisp added, "Besides given that if anything we're in a super-hero movie's car, this thing probably has armor and bulletproof glass."
  21. Vicky held out her hand. "Welcome to our humble home for the abnormal. My name's Victoria but my friends call me Vicky," the ivory haired woman said, her Russian accent faint but still present in her voice. "Sorry to ignore you but sometimes, Morgan just needs a little teasing now and then. At Morgan's comment on scorch marks in the room she nodded, "Always a plus. Janis and I have started leaving our room window open when I 'port in, otherwise the smoke would be a killer on just about everything."
  22. Victoria Knight was headed back towards her dorm, she'd had a good idea for her creative writing class and wanted to get it down on paper. However she stopped dead in her tracks seeing Morgan hanging upside down in the same tree he'd been stuck in the day she'd met her dormmate. Walking up just in time to see her friend fall out of the tree she couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "Again Morgan? Do we need to put a mattress in that tree?" she said with a knowing smirk.
  23. Wisp nodded at Marceau and headed for the spot the outhouse was to be constructed. "I'll get started on the pit, the structure itself can be started around me with minimal trouble." To punctuate this she knelt down and with one hand on the ground teleported ten feet away, a pile of dirt about three feet square set under her, partially obscured by the usual smoke presence. While not much faster than just using a shovel, teleporting a couple hundred pounds of dirt was much less back breaking.
  24. Wisp moved quickly up beside the Russian in cryokinetic armor. Focusing the effort of will it would take to carry someone else along on a teleport into her fist as she drove it into the woman's sternum. Natasha rippled for a moment and the red and white smoke billowed around the impact but it didn't seem to have much effect at all besides making a resounding clang and a look of pain on Wisp's face.
  25. I'd say Wisp has a kind of smokey scent to Jubatus' scent, as well as traces lilac scented soap/shampoo. Now, before I volunteer Vicky to start digging the outhouse, would I be able to teleport the 250lbs of dirt/rock/etc as the extra mass rather than actually digging a hole?
