  1. "First time I've ridden in one actually," Wisp replied. She relaxed into the comfortable leather seat of the limo, "But I could get used to this. Being driven around in a comfortable leather chair with wheels beats having to do my morning 'jogs' trying to lengthen my teleports." Taking a second book out of her bag she flipped to the last page and looked over a column of numbers, adding another to the bottom before nodding. "Okay, awesome. I'm right about on budget for my allowance this month, I can swing a couple sandwiches and a coffee." Flipping back to the front of the notebook and after making sure none of the pages were disturbed, put the book back into the bag.
  2. Wisp leaned against the door, listening as best she could. "What are the odds that the kidnappers would have guards posted right on the other side of this door?" She asked, rolling her neck as she finished. "If they don't, I could just poof in and open the door. No bobby pins and screwdriver required." Kicking a crumpled flier that rolled by her foot in the breeze she looked around. "Unless someone has a better plan?"
  3. Wisp let out a low whistle at Mercury's portal. "Impressive work. Beats my range handily," she said before stepping up to and then through the door. The usual trash and refuse of an ally blowing in the light wind. Looking up at the sky Wisp grumbled slightly to herself something about hating the rain. Looking at Glowstar and then the door she nodded. "A little more gut-wrenching than my 'ports. Felt like the first hill on a roller coaster for a second."

  5. In a puff of crimson and white smoke, Wisp vanished from the store and reappeared, sitting cross legged, on the roof of Grim's limo. Watching as Grimalkin and her bodyguards opened and came out the door she smirked. "It's a good thing my parents raised me right. If they hadn't, with my powers, odds are good we'd be meeting under far less pleasant circumstances." In another puff of her bi-colored smoke, Wisp vanished and reappeared inside the limo. She opened the door for Grim and then scooted over to the far side to make room for her. "Though, I could make a decent wage working with a locksmith letting people into their cars or homes when they lock themselves out," she added.
  6. At Grimalkin's comments on the riot gear design Wisp smirked, "Yeah, seems a little bulky for the way I move though. I drew it mostly as an intellectual exercise." After hearing Hans call out the deadline her heart sank as she started packing up her books and supplies, until Grim's suggestion of coffee. She beamed, "Sounds great. Anyplace local you can suggest?" Wisp's stomach let out a rather unladylike growl, as if on queue for her to hastily add, "Someplace with cheap but filling food maybe?"
  7. Vicky pulled her costume from her bag, DVDs for The Blues Brothers and Boondock Saints coming with it. "Mind if I use your washroom to change into something a little more comfortable for cracking skulls? I prefer to do my skullthumping as Wisp rather than Vicky, ya dig?" Using the washroom quickly, after making sure the door was locked, she changed into the white and red costume. Once she was sure it fit right she opened the door. "Okay boys, I seem to recall there being something about damsels in distress. Perhaps we should head out?"
  8. Wisp sat in her chair, a headache having formed twitching behind her left eye. She pulled the last slice of pizza off her plate and munched on it while the newest player joined and the gathering's unofficial mom got up from the table. Trying to get her mind off the light throb in her head she picked a fairly innocent topic of conversation, food. "Any of you girls ever watched that show Man vs Food? I've been thinking of finding local places that have such challenges and taking a shot at them." Nodding towards the stack of decimated pizza boxes she continued, "After a particularly 'port heavy night, I can down a pile of pizza like that by myself." Finishing her slice she reached out and snagged a couple cookies from the platter Grim conjured while she waited for the cards to be shuffled and the betting to resume.
  9. Wisp continued her critique of her designs made real, a smile plastered on her face as she enjoyed seeing the reactions of everyone gathered to Grim modeling her drawings. "I think I'll be skipping the cap, at least for the foreseeable future," she decided after a few moments. "I had another few designs. There's the bellyshirt, jeans, boots, and duster costume. ...I may have watched too many Daria and Firefly reruns when I came up with that one." Flipping the page she revealed a design closer to your typical wizard, complete with intricately carved staff. "Huh, thought I kept the sketches from my role-playing games in a separate book," she muttered, flipping the page again and coming to a design that looked like Wisp only wearing riot armor painted red and white to match her smoke's color scheme.
  10. I'm in for punching Nazis, undead or not.
  11. Wisp stepped up next to Mercury and looked out the window at the clouds and stars. "Note to self, recreate that in the sketchbook when we get out of here," she muttered aloud. At Mercury's comments about exploring she stood silently for a moment. "I'm all for exploring as long as we don't cross into the Emerald Nightmare or run afoul everyone's favorite fedora clad, knife-fingered burnward refugee." Leaning against the window, feeling the smooth, cool glass against her forehead she spoke towards the more experienced members of the group, "Hey Dreamwalkers, just wondering, different plane of existence and all, the Chunky Salsa Rule is in effect right?"
  12. If you've got room and don't mind a PL-10, Wisp would be in for joining her fellow Claremonters.
  13. "Bones I can agree with. I haven't had a chance to see those others. More often than not my tv watching is over Netflix. Is it wrong that for a crime fighter I'm fascinated by Leverage?" Giving Hans a glance she looked around for a help wanted sign anywhere in the shop, figuring teleportation or her well above average strength would prove assets. Wisp let out a low whistle at the display. "Very nice Grim. Going to have save up and get that design put into production." Letting out a contemplative hum Wisp eyed the costume sketch-made-real. "Hmm, maybe a cape?"
  14. Wisp finished fixing another plate for herself and popped back into her chair to look at her cards. Almost as soon as she looked she let out a curse is Russian before mucking her hand. A mess of low cards of different suits. "Everyone at some point in their life takes a minute and considers their sexuality. They figure their orientation or start lifting weights to avoid thinking about it. I don't lift weights and my ex can attest that I figured myself out. With a two gender system I pick 'C' any of the above. Except I haven't met anyone single since moving here."
  15. Vicky weathered the tirade like a rock on a beach, after all when your mother is an ex-soviet spy few things phase you anymore. "I don't think that last part is anatomically possible. And the one before that is illegal in at least five states." Tongue-lashing or not, Vicky was still fascinated by the lovely girl. She shut her eyes against the small gale, her snow-white ponytail blowing back. "And this suggests she isn't a field spirit how again?" Vicky sighed. Heaving a sigh she reached into the bag for the costume Grimalkin helped her flesh out a few days before, making sure it was right where she had left it.
  16. Vicky's Russian, "Holy crap, a polevoi."
  17. Victoria walked to Crow's door, a copy of Boondock Saints wedged into her messenger bag with her sketchbook and pencils. The strap hung comfortably across her Chicago Cubs t-shirt. Humming a bit the Apocalyptica she'd been listening to before heading over she raised her hand to knock on the door only to have it open and hearing Brian's comments. "Chicks to rescue? Monsters to beat up? And here I was planning on skipping out on studying with a horribly violent movie. You boys need some extra muscle?" Vicky eyed the young woman in their room, "СвÑтое дерьмо, 'Полевой'," she muttered, her Russian coming out as she looked at the obvious inhuman girl. "All that stuff mom spouted was real..."
  18. "I hadn't even thought about that," Wisp admitted looking at the diamond on the sketch, "I just threw it in to give the costume some extra color.". Wisp flipped to a blank page and started sketching a herself dressed in a typical fantasy setting's costume. "I haven't met Dead Head yet. And I see where you're coming from on zombies but I was raised on Romero and more recently Kirkman. Don't know if you watched AMC last fall but that was one heck of a season." Looking up to see as many people watching her sketch as they did try and see Grim she slid a glance at Grim. "This shop run a convention by chance?"
  19. Wisp folded her cards and tossed them into the muck pile as well. "Tell me about it Sage." With a sigh she reached inward and teleported from her seat over to the drinks. Passing Sage a fresh cup she gave the telepath a small smile. "Look, I owe you an apology for my comment earlier. I was trying for a funny, jokey comment and struck a nerve," she said in a low voice. "I didn't think before I spoke and I'm sorry."
  20. Working on the setup as I type this (the glory of the iPhone, an all can eat buffet, and coffee). Should have something soon.
  21. Wisp would be interested if you're still looking.
  22. "Name's Wisp," the white haired girl said holding out a hand. Her grip was surprisingly strong for her size and build. Turning to Cannonade she smirked, "It could be worse. Could have been zombies in these cars." Reaching into her bag she pulled out a plastic liter bottle containing what looked like a protein shake. She twisted the top off and started drinking. "Oh my God this stuff is nasty..."
  23. Wisp laughed at this last statement. Keeping an eye for the same demographics, "I gotta say, that's probably the most interest anyone's expressed in what I'm wearing under my clothes since I moved to Freedom, intended or not." She slipped the action figure into her bag, making sure it was protected from being damaged by the new hardcover collections she had bought. "This is going on my shelf by my Gundam Wing models. Or maybe my The Slayers figures." Pulling out a much more beat up sketchbook she started flipping through its pages. "I'm still working on a costume, didn't think I'd have a chance to ask your opinion but since we're talking..., " she said as she came to one page in the middle of the book with a color sketch of a red and white costume.
