  1. Gamma Buzz "Its time for Gamma Buzz, baby!" yelled Gamma Buzz, punching the air. He did a little cartwheel, a moderate forward flip, and an almighty leap into the air, bringing up his glowing fist. "This time, strange robot creatures, this time my incredible atomic powers will fell you!" He landed right by the nearest strange robot creature and let loose a glowing fist. "Is there no limit to my limitless Gamma powers?" he asked.
  2. Free action: Activate Radioactive Aura Move action: Jump to nearest mean robot Standard action: Punch 25 which I guess is a hit DC 23 Tough / Damage DC 15 Fort / Nauseate (although I guess as they are robots...)
  3. GM The Croconda was down, its writhing tight body now limp. It floated in the cave water, soundly dispensed with. "Hmm... what.... umph...." mumbled the Professor as he awoke. "What happened?" Armitage must have been in his seventies, and yet he had some form of wiry constitution-or maybe his brain was sufficiently powerful that even discombobulated by concussion its as still astute. He took in the scene with one wry look. "You felled the beast! Very admirable. What creature was that? A mythological hybrid, perhaps. Snake, crocodile. Part Mayan, part Egyptian... how odd...." From outside the cave, the two heroes could hear an outboard motor, some lights... Someone was approaching!
  4. GM Mr Silk licked his lips at the mention of Dim Sum. Madame Raven could even hear the obese mans stomach rumbling. "Go get me some food!" he snapped at his solitary aide, the man with the scissors. The aide gulped and started to make his way - cautiously, to the trapdoor. His path would take him past Madame Raven, however... "I wasn't offering money," explained Mr Silk. "Information. Power. You want to Dr Sin? I want you to have him. I can help..." Could he? Madame Raven knew Mr Silk had acquired considerable power, and was no fool. But Dr Sin was the mastermind of the masterminds... could he ever really be caught? Meanwhile, the aide was nervously shuffling to the trapdoor, right past Madame Raven, on his way to acquire food. The mention of Dim Sum had made Mr Silk ravenous.
  5. GM Mr Silk sniffed. "No, I am not stupid, and neither are you." He pressed his fingers together, closing his eyes and listening carefully. "My words were double edged. As you suspected, I was trying to even the playing field. I failed, tis no matter. But the best deception is the truth, Madam Raven, I suspect you know that as well as I do. I would not fight you armed. It would be a wasted opportunity." His eyes snapped open. "Why are you in Hong Kong? Why interfere here? I would have though you would be happy to see a war between myself and Dr Sin, you would let it fester and clean up the mess once it is over, hmmm? Well you have no juridstiction here, and i have plenty of bribed officials in the Chinese and Hong Kong government and law department. Why risk breaking your legs over a matter that does not concern you?" His eyes narrowed. "What could I give you to go away?"
  6. Lets go for it! 16 Which is a fail by 10 (just) Which makes it staggered But it is staggered already so... KOOOOOO! Post away! We are no out of combat
  7. GM Somehow, the slimy crococonda twisted at just the right (or wrong depending on your perspective) time. It bent at precisely the right angle. It squirmed at exactly the best position. And somehow it was free of the chains of earth and stone. It had wriggled through them like a worm through mud! A crocodile cant smile - or perhaps it is always smiling. But the way it looked at blackstaff, the way its serpentine tongue licked. Well, that was a gloat if ever there was one.
  8. Nice! Im giving Croco a -2 penalty to both reflex saves for being a big fish (snake) in a small pond (cave) 17 and 26 incredibly it rolls a nat 20 and shakes of the snare! G Star is up!
  9. Gamma Buzz "The desert is really cool, right? I mean. Look over there! Theres some sand! Oh wait... over there! Some more sand. Hey... sand. And.... wait for it... rock!" Baz did a little tap dance of faux surprise. "Oh I mean sure there is cactus and insects, and sunshine beating down on you neck like a drill, but.. yeah, the desert is pretty dry, right? Gettit? Dry... dull... dry... no water?" "The best thing about the desert is the tumbleweed, am I right?" Baz kicked some sand up, just to be able to watch some sand jostling around in the dry air. To be honest, he was more concerned about his classmates. Heat was no problem for the cockroach kid. But they might be feeling it. And then there was the problem of water. "New bands? Its all i listen to?" he said to Blue Bolt. "I mean, I want to be a DJ when I grow up. Nothing better than banging out some new and original tune!"
  10. GM Mr Silk dropped the raven claw with a clatter to the floor. "A whole family. Formidable. They say that the Ravens are masters of the martial arts. And yet..." He looked disdainfully at the claw. "You fight with weapons. This is not the way of a true master. I allow my minions to use knives. This is fitting for their station, but you? You would lower yourself to such impurity?" "You have already made things messy. That you are here at all means I must attend to my security of all manners. And then you debase yourself with crude weapons. At least do yourself the honour of being beaten barehanded, rather than resorting to such... plebian tools!"
  11. GM The woman was easily shook. At last, Tsunami could walk across Hong Kong without being followed. At least as far as she could tell. A little later... Despite the rain, the moon shone through the darkness, and Hong Kong had plenty of light pollution to ignite the air. It was not asleep; it kept on breathing, eating, and working even at this time of night, just at a slower pace. This was the time for drunks, cleaners, food, and entertainment. Some of the latter - a quite unsavoury air. The docks had the smell of salt air. Here, things became more industrial, more energetic. Boats came in, boats left, redsitributing cargo as they did so. There was no time for sleep. Superior Silks? Another factory. By all appearances, run down. A couple of thugs guarding the place with baseball bats. But on closer examination, the fence was alarmed, the cameras elegantly placed, and the factory more resilient than it first appeared. A first rate fortress disguised as a run down broken shoddy factory.
  12. GM The Raven claw collided with the scissors... CLANG! And sent the follicular cutting device across the room, clinking against stone walls until it lay at rest on the cold stone floor. The scissor man reached into his jacket, bringing out a throwing knife, readying it for a throw, until Mr. Silk (for it was the obese crime lord himself) raised a finger and clucked his tongue. "Wait." The scissor man stopped instantly, frozen, completely obedient to his master. Slowly, Mr. Silk scanned the floor, reached down, and picked up the Raven Claw. In English, he said; "Raven. The Raven. Madam Raven. Various names. Belong in Freedom City. I commend you on your tenacity, but you are not welcome here." His eyes scanned the darkness. There werent many places to hide, but the bald lights were dim, and Mr Silk could not yet see where his adversary was.
  13. Madam Raven - 3 HP - Unharmed Holding on the initiative a moment - lets have some banter!
  14. Haven I look like a munchkin - thought Haven. He wriggled his digital body. I feel like one, too. Like most of the planet, Milo had watched the Oz film but not read the book. Haven remembered that echo memory well. Werent there several dozen books? He couldn't remember. But this was all feeling very much like Oz. Haven could only hope that the Wizard behind it all had only watched the film, not the series of books. Otherwise Haven would be very much at sea. "I wont, Woodcutter!" he called back. And, as an afterthought. "You have plenty of heart!" Haven tried to shake himself to normal proportions and then started to walk to the Emerald City. Perhaps the rumour mill, the gossip factory, might have something to say.
  15. Ok lets have an attack roll for the scissors. And an initiative roll too!
  16. Gamma Buzz "Just what you would find in a sewer! A computer! A witches cauldon! And cages!" Baz flipped up to the ceiling and crouched there to better study the building. "Nope. This doesn't look suspicious at all. What's going on? Robot simulacrums? Synthetic humanoids? Cmon! This looks like Frankensteins castle, except underground. With computers. And girls. So not very much like Frankensteins castle. Except in spirit! Which is the important thing?" "You think you are fooling us, girl?" he asked the mysterious woman. "I am super intelligent! The proportional intelligence of a cockroach, in fact. So I know exactly whats going on here. And my friends are almost as intelligent, so I will let them explain your mysterious mystery!"
  17. GM It took a little bit of fiddling with the Raven lockpicks, but the lock came open. It would have been easier if she had time. But she didn't. The guards here were alert, and wandered the factory ever so often. Twice, the Raven had to put down her picks and scuttle into the shadows; each time done perfectly silently, perfectly unseen. Not a problem for the invisible Raven - but it did make picking a lock more irritating. The lock came open. No alarm, but a horrible creak. Madame Raven had to use quite the sleight of hand to oil the hinges to silence. Down some stairs. Harsh lights. The sound of... a loom? And scissors? A voice. A deep, rumbling voice, slowly pronouncing every word. Cantonese. A voice that sounded like it had all the compassion and softness of a rusty chainsaw. The Cantonese was not a language Madame Raven could speak. She crept further. A huge man, obese, but over six foot tall, bald, with close set eyes, dressed in an elegant black silk suit. He stood over a woman in chains, bent over, barefoot, dirty, with black raven hair. To the side was one of the well dressed guards, brandishing some... scissors? He was cutting the womans hair! And every snip of the scissors sent a shudder of pain down the woman in chains.
  18. GM The old woman followed her out of the station. It was subtle, but Tsunami could pick up the signs. She had a spring in her step, a speed to her pace, indicating greater strength and less fat that a woman of her age. The way the woman kept at almost precisely calibrated distance from Tsunami. She was a spy. Mr Silk must have a finger in every corner of the city. It was no wonder he was at odds with Dr Sin. Fortunately, the woman, once identified, was easily lost. Where now? The mall beckoned, a dozen feet from Tsunami, and she certainly had the cash. But Hong Kong was a large city, a flamboyant city, rich in colours and smells. And the factory of Mr Silk, Superior Silks, was not far away....
  19. Ok thats enough to pick up a tail IC post coming up
  20. GM At this time of night, with the sun asleep and the moon awake, the station was less packed. There were the drunks, of course. And a few people who had clearly taken more than alcohol. But by and large it was a friendly, if spartan crowd. The train arrived on time and departed in an equally ordered manner. It rattled a little; not the newest train, not the newest railway. The lights of Hong Kong swirled past. The ocean, on the horizon, glistened with moonlight and rain. The storm was still there. As the train arrived into the docks area of Kowloon City, Tsunami had the unnerving feeling she was still being watched. A camera, in the corner... pointing at the travellers. That old lady, with sunglasses, trying to look like she wasn't looking at Tsunami. The man in a hat, carrying a briefcase, a scar across his nose. Was he just a businessman? Just how many tentacles and spies did Mr Silk have, or not have?
  21. Gamma Buzz "Hey, I did it!" said Gamma Buzz, eyebrows (or what passed at eyebrows raised. "I can't believe it, I actually did it! I..." He looked around, and his antannae quivered at the realisation he a/ had an audience, and b/ was speaking out aloud. "I mean, I can't believe I did it in so awesome and cool a manner! I mean I knew I would do it, because Gamma Buzz baby. And obviously I would do it in an awesome and cool manner. To the max. But somehow I did it even more awesomer and cooler than even I could believe. And thats the unbelievable part. Not that I would do it. No, that was always absolutely certain. There mere thought I would not to it, hahaha! Makes you chuckle, eh?" "And I am cooler than you!" he sneered at FX. "Ill go get em!" he said to Lawrence, bouncing (with cockroach legs) away to pick up the other two (with cockroach strength).
  22. GM And the Kowloon Wharves were exactly where Superior Silks main factory was based. The sun had set on Hong Jong as Tsunami left the airport, her false papers correctly stamped with a nod. "Welcome to Hong Kong ma'am. Enjoy your stay". Speaking Cantonese had warmed the otherwise ossified passport officer. The evening was aglow with the sun's aura just below the horizon. The many lights of Hong Kong had sprung into action. The air felt close, and Tsunami could feel rain coming. It was hot, but not unbearably so - and yet the rain would be a relief. A line of red taxi's waited outside the airport, moving quickly. A fat woman with a cigarette in her mouth and a trashy newspaper in her hand caught Tsunami's eye, and said, in broken English. "Taxi lady pretty?" There was hustle, there was bustle. And there were two men in crisp suits and lithe builds who had been keeping a close eye on Tsunami ever since she arrived...
