  1. GM "Assistance? Yes... I need to ask you for assistance..." mumbled Dr North, pressing his fingers to his temples as if in pain. "Could... maybe... yes... could I have an asprin? I am feeling rather hot..." he said, tugging at his shirt. Sweat rolled down his skin. He looked hot, that was for sure. "Yes, an asprin. Maybe that was what I was supposed to ask you for. Although... my purpose? my purpose was something else... now what was it?" He shook his head. "Do I fool you? was that it?" he asked Predator. "Yes, do I fool you?"
  2. Great thanks Thevshi So that will Miss the King Fu Expert Mr Silk, who will use Move action: Startle Feint - Getting 24 And then a +2 Power attack roll - Getting 18 which will miss unless the feint is successful. If it does hit, DC 23 Tough Save
  3. Starshot With a flick of a metal thumb from his metal hand, Starshot took the pin out of the Gas Grenade. "We want you!" he said from the shadows, and lobbed the grenade into the centre of the cultists. The impact caused it to split, and propel its chemical gas iaround the cave. It was a light green colour, barely noticeable to the eye, but it would bring out the eyes and skin of most creature into a stinging opera. Wasting no time, Starshot dropped to the ground, his Plasma Rifle in his other hand, ready to fire...
  4. Lobbing a gas grenade! Nauseate 5, Cloud Area effect (Fort Save) Pretty mild opener, but lets see what they are made of As a move action, he will drop to the ground (he has prone fighting so that means no penalties, and a bit of ranged protection )
  5. Haven "Dutch courage?" asked Haven, sweeping his hand accross the various drinks and raising an eyebrow at the Lion. Yes indeed. Someone likes a certain book, or perhaps the film adaptation, quite a lot. A woodman without a heart, a Lion without courage. But I dont recall a bar in the book. Haven studied the glasses - what filenames? Perhaps some kind of virus, or bug, that would distort the imbiber? "I'm looking for a white list..." he started, studying the Lion carefully. "Would you happen to know anything about it?"
  6. Round 1 33 - Madame Raven - Unharmed - 3 HP 30 - Mr Silk - Unharmed
  7. GM Madame Raven's cape was super - quite the super cape. It felled the aide in one swoop, knocking his feet from the concrete floor, and letting his head smack into that same floor with a resounding thud. The aide was completely knocked out. Mr Silk shuffled his feet slightly. Madame Ravan could tell it was the preparation for an attack; a martial art stance. Kung Fu - but what style. Mr Silk raised his fists in a classic pose. What was this? He had the classic training, for sure, but also those hands were not limited to ancient dance like kata, but they were hands that were used to dirty street fighting, too. And he was about to pounce...
  8. The Aide falls! Tough 13 Could we have initiative rolls please, @Tiffany Korta and @Thevshi? 30 for Mr Silk Tsunami will "enter" on round 2
  9. GM Dr North was clearly discombulated; restless, agitated, his fingers writhing awkardly and independently, his neck muscles dancing a tango under his skin. His facial expressions seemed mercurial one moment, stony the next. "No coffee... no coffee... doesn't agree with me," he said, althuogh one might have assumed that he had consumed his own body weight (twice over) in espresso. "I am Dr North..." he explained, sweating. "Yes, I am Dr North. Director of the World Exotic Science Taskforce. There is... science. Yes. Exotic Science... do you mind if I sit down?" Dr North say down, and then, unable to contain himself, got up immediately, wiping his sweat from his brow. "You are... Predator?"
  10. GM The guards were alert, but Tsunami was as silent as a still lake. Once, twice, the guards looked her way, but she was always in shadows, or behind machinery. They didn't spot her. Not even suspicious. When Tsnunami reached the trap door, she could see a lock on it. A picked lock. Either someone had been very careless, or someone else was trying to get to Mr Silk. But who? An enemy of Mr Silk? Dr Sin, or one of his numerous agents? Opening the Trapdoor, Tsnuami could see stairs leading down, some raw blazing lightbulbs, and the sound of violence! ~ Continued in Hong Kong Hair ~
  11. Im am guessing Tsunami takes 10 on stealth? 19 on their notice roll, so we can assume you make it. It is now time to merge with Hong Kong Hair
  12. Monday 5th March, 2024 Freedom City Inside the Laboratory of Predator It was a day of no particular character. Temperature average, sunlight average, normal mix of mediocre impact news. The sun had risen, the clocks were ticking. It was mid morning. But Predators day was about to get real interesting. A knock on the door. the Camera's swivelled to scan the knocker. A man in his fifties, thick glasses, thick brown moustache, sweating (despite a tepid heat to the day), nervous, jittery. Wearing a courdrouy jacket and green turtleneck. Not colour coordinated, at all. But Predator reconised him. Dr Norris North! The head of WEST, the world exotic science taskforce, set up after various global calamaties to investigate and if necessary contain any science that might get out of hand. Dimensional, spatial, temporal distortions. Strange energies. Mutated viruses. They functioned under the auspices of the united nations, somewhat like the world health organisation, except with less funding. "Please! Let me in!" mumbled Doctor North into the speaker.
  13. Haven A seedy bar? That would do. Seedy things happen in seedy bars, and sometimes useful things to. For a moment, Haven allowed himself the luxury of lamentation. He would no longer feel the joy of drunkedness, no longer enjoy the taste of rich food. He couldn't smell - it was that loss that he missed most deeply about his fleshly existence. True, his libido was no more than a shadow, but somehow that - it didn't matter so much. It was smell, that was the thing. He took a virtual breath in, a virtual breath out. Such tragedy distracted him, and would serve no purpose if indulged (other than dragging him into a quagmire of despair). And so in he went. To cast his eyes around the bar patrons, the bar staff. Perhaps there would be virtual loose tongues who would spill virtual secrets.
  14. Gamma Buzz "Wow! You even sound purple!" said Gamma Buzz. He flipped down to the floor again. "What have you got against ceilings anythehow?" He gave a sidelong glance at the rapidly aging girl - woman. "And what have you got against normal speed aging? I mean, she's growing a year every minute. Or thereabouts..." he added with a wave of his hand. "Something like that anyway. I am sure you understand the complex algerbraic formulations of time and space and all that stuff that I obviously understand and wouldn't bluff about." He pointed a cockroach finger back at the purple man. "Spill the purple beans, purple man! Are you seeking to manipulate the unmanipulatable forces of nature itself?" he asked in a dramatic voice.
  15. I think the Hatchet is 6 EP? Masterplan 2 - is that use Tactics instead of INT? No favoured environment [woods]? If you are min-maxing: Its extremely rare you would be distracted with Survival skill (Its pretty much aways take 10 or 20), whereas Medicine SM is pretty handy if you hit +5 or more (you can do it under fire to remove a stun off an ally). Out of interest the woodsman costume bow array - is that essentially a bow thats is part of his costume (cant be disarmed)?
  16. GM The rooftop had that same look - run down, second rate, crumbling. But again, with a careful look, it was reinforced. A fortress concealed as a shack. What was even more peculiar... Footprints? Up here? There were no guards on the rooftop. All that Tsunami could see was a skylight, one that had been opened recently. Peering through it, should could see an organised textile factory, weaving, cutting, packaging. Machines hummed, and a variety of textile workers scurried at their work. Here, there were a few guards. Not your rent-a-thug cheapskate guards outside, but professional men in black silk suits. And on the factory floor, a trapdoor...
  17. Gamma Buzz "Its time for Gamma Buzz, baby!" yelled Gamma Buzz, punching the air. He did a little cartwheel, a moderate forward flip, and an almighty leap into the air, bringing up his glowing fist. "This time, strange robot creatures, this time my incredible atomic powers will fell you!" He landed right by the nearest strange robot creature and let loose a glowing fist. "Is there no limit to my limitless Gamma powers?" he asked.
  18. Free action: Activate Radioactive Aura Move action: Jump to nearest mean robot Standard action: Punch 25 which I guess is a hit DC 23 Tough / Damage DC 15 Fort / Nauseate (although I guess as they are robots...)
  19. GM The Croconda was down, its writhing tight body now limp. It floated in the cave water, soundly dispensed with. "Hmm... what.... umph...." mumbled the Professor as he awoke. "What happened?" Armitage must have been in his seventies, and yet he had some form of wiry constitution-or maybe his brain was sufficiently powerful that even discombobulated by concussion its as still astute. He took in the scene with one wry look. "You felled the beast! Very admirable. What creature was that? A mythological hybrid, perhaps. Snake, crocodile. Part Mayan, part Egyptian... how odd...." From outside the cave, the two heroes could hear an outboard motor, some lights... Someone was approaching!
  20. GM Mr Silk licked his lips at the mention of Dim Sum. Madame Raven could even hear the obese mans stomach rumbling. "Go get me some food!" he snapped at his solitary aide, the man with the scissors. The aide gulped and started to make his way - cautiously, to the trapdoor. His path would take him past Madame Raven, however... "I wasn't offering money," explained Mr Silk. "Information. Power. You want to Dr Sin? I want you to have him. I can help..." Could he? Madame Raven knew Mr Silk had acquired considerable power, and was no fool. But Dr Sin was the mastermind of the masterminds... could he ever really be caught? Meanwhile, the aide was nervously shuffling to the trapdoor, right past Madame Raven, on his way to acquire food. The mention of Dim Sum had made Mr Silk ravenous.
  21. GM Mr Silk sniffed. "No, I am not stupid, and neither are you." He pressed his fingers together, closing his eyes and listening carefully. "My words were double edged. As you suspected, I was trying to even the playing field. I failed, tis no matter. But the best deception is the truth, Madam Raven, I suspect you know that as well as I do. I would not fight you armed. It would be a wasted opportunity." His eyes snapped open. "Why are you in Hong Kong? Why interfere here? I would have though you would be happy to see a war between myself and Dr Sin, you would let it fester and clean up the mess once it is over, hmmm? Well you have no juridstiction here, and i have plenty of bribed officials in the Chinese and Hong Kong government and law department. Why risk breaking your legs over a matter that does not concern you?" His eyes narrowed. "What could I give you to go away?"
  22. Lets go for it! 16 Which is a fail by 10 (just) Which makes it staggered But it is staggered already so... KOOOOOO! Post away! We are no out of combat
  23. GM Somehow, the slimy crococonda twisted at just the right (or wrong depending on your perspective) time. It bent at precisely the right angle. It squirmed at exactly the best position. And somehow it was free of the chains of earth and stone. It had wriggled through them like a worm through mud! A crocodile cant smile - or perhaps it is always smiling. But the way it looked at blackstaff, the way its serpentine tongue licked. Well, that was a gloat if ever there was one.
  24. Nice! Im giving Croco a -2 penalty to both reflex saves for being a big fish (snake) in a small pond (cave) 17 and 26 incredibly it rolls a nat 20 and shakes of the snare! G Star is up!
