  1. I'm guessting this would be diplomacy, even if Bonfire is just bluffing for the most part. In case you think Bluff is more appropriate, it's on one rank less, so just reduce the bonus from 20 to 19. 1d20 + 20 = 25 These dice ... this is probably a bad idea, but I'm gonna spend a HP here, so I'm down to none. 1d20 + 20 = 25 (35 thanks to HP)
  2. Well, great. A Van. No way of catching up with that thing. Well, maybe if Bonfire had been burning at the moment there was, it made him go a lot faster. But, he wasn’t, and by the time he would be that Van would already have driven away. Maybe the police were able to do something about it, but he was completely powerless to stop it. This had happened too often recently. He’d have to figure out how to deal with runaway cars at some point. He did his best to try and see the van’s number, if there even was one, but otherwise didn’t chase it. All the thugs were out cold, or maybe out hot? Either way, the police was still in the area, chances were they’d arrive soon enough for him not to have to drag around criminals into a nice pile. Instead, he decided to also partake in the interrogation, maybe he’d have to play good cop. So, he quickly flew over and appeared as a more human form, only his head being smoke. This form only wore a plain grey shirt and gray pants, he didn’t feel like putting in effort into his illusionary disguis for now. “No way I can stop that thing. Then again, we don’t need to. It’s probably better if we don’t.” He looked closer at the thug, and the smoke forming his head turned into a cartoon-ish grin where his mouth would be, the rest of his head remaining formless. “It’ll only lead us to the rest of them. I’m sure they’ve got more fancy gear wherever their base is. And the police is right next door, so we don’t even have to arrange these guys in a pile!” He turned towards the still conscious thug, the grin shrinking a bit. “Now, we have everything we need to track ‘em down, I planned for as much. But, that’s still effort. And I think I have something more favourable to you. How about ya just tell us where they’re hiding, and I’ll see what I can do to cut down your sentence due to helping with the investigation? It usually means you get out significantly quicker than if you don’t tell us anything. Hey, maybe the judge even decides to send you into witness protection if you tell us enough, no stay behind steel that way! As far as I’m aware, that’s a lot more fun, right? So, how about it? “
  3. And so, Kresh Melek, the Praetorian known as Barrier, had returned. CoVic station certainly had changed from when she last saw it only days after the incursion. Back then, she had decided to leave her companions and walk her own path, for as long as it took to find out what she wanted to. She had only partially achieved that goal, but here she was again. Something told her that for now her former companions were a bigger priority than whatever was left of her home. She had spent much time searching, only finding dead ends. It was time to do what she was chosen to, back two millennia ago. And so, she had come back. She didn’t know what the Imperatrix had ended up doing after the Incursion, but she knew that this was where to find her. Or at least, somewhere on CoVic was where she’d find her and the other praetorians. Walking through the streets was easy enough, people were wise enough to not stand in the way of somebody usually about twice their height. But then again, that also made talking to them a lot more difficult. Many stuttered uncontrollably, some even ran away. And others just ignored her. In casually walking with the crowd, Kresh had arrived at what clearly was a market place. A positive. She didn’t need anything, or even have the money to anything expensive, but the merchants would probably be more keen on talking to her than some civilians on the streets. She picked out an armor maintenance shop, maybe she could stock up on polishing equipment, arguably the one thing she might need more of in the future, and slowly walked over there, doing her best to not disturb the crowd. Maybe she would've realized the fact there was some general stress, but she was used to that being a thing when she walked around crowded areas, so she just ignored it. The Lyankan, towering over the crowd, approached the store, and started looking around its inventory. Finding what she wanted was fairly easy, and she could just about afford it. She bought some spare polishing equipment, and when paying, struck up a conversation with the merchant. She spoke with accented GalStandart, speaking slower than most. “Greetings. I’m looking for the headquarters of the praetorians. Are you able to tell me where it is located?”
  4. Well, this certainly had turned out to hit the jackpot already. A super-genius with a private island! Now this was something heroic! Hopefully his readers wouldn’t accuse him of making it all up, it’d be quite different from the usual “Hey, I stopped a robbery today” stories usually filling the hot-head’s blog. First an anonymous message, leading him to a bar, leading him to talk to some lady that knows more than you’d think, leading him to some island? Great story right there! Well, it was on an island, hopefully a big one. The safest place for Bonfire to be was always on land, far removed from the shore, it meant less water everywhere. He decided to let the super next to him do the talking, she probably had more experience with these things. And considering she brought up WWII, that most likely was correct. An immortal? Somebody who just has really good physique? Maybe he’d ask about it later. She mentioned getting in, and Bonfire responded, his head now starting to take a bit of form, with smoke piling up where it should be. “Well, as long as they don’t do IR checks getting in should be easy enough. I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve to get in and out of places. Not my speciality, but I sure know how to do it.” He drank some more, before turning back to the two women. He could probably have been just as flirtatious as the lady in red, but this wasn’t really the time. Besides, there was something about her that suggested that it probably wouldn’t be the best idea, Bonfire figured. “And if they do have IR …. Things are going to be a bit more difficult. I assume the info about that kinda stuff’s on there too? Anything not on it that we should still be aware of?”
  5. As Bonfire approached the Bar, he quickly spotted Torpedo Lass, also not quite fitting in. She also didn’t try to hide the fact she was a super. That certainly made things easier. Bonfire took a closer look at her costume, and when she started talking began listening. He thanked the barkeep, and started drinking, just tipping the glass at where his head would be. Nice and warm, this was exactly what he needed on a day like this. “Well, I was told to go here, so I guess we’re involved in the same thing, whatever it may be.” He sat down next to the fellow super, and introduced himself. Well, she certainly had a different power-set from how she described herself. The band was right in between songs, so talking was a lot easier than it would be in just a few seconds. “Name’s Bonfire. Freedom’s HOTTEST newcomer, If my opinion on it counts. I’m not sure why I’m here yet, but that’s half the fun, isn’t it? Pleased to make your acquaintance. Now, I guess we wait for something to happen, probably sooner rather than later.” He managed to catch the lady looking at them, and turned back to Lass. “Well, there you go, I think she’s involved with it too. Or maybe she’s just curious what two people with fancy outfits are doing in a place like this. I’d bet money on the former, but I gotta watch my expenses. So do we approach her or wait for her to do it?”
  6. and there ya go! Hope that's good enough! If you want me to make any rolls regarding the look around part, just tell me and I'll provide.
  7. Bonfire was incredibly active on social media, posting crime fighting reports, selfies, and Q&As fairly often. Fanmail was pretty common too, and the occasional anonymous tip was something he’d gotten used to nowadays. Nine out of ten turned out to be nothing, but the chance was always there, so checking them out was always necessary. But, on this lovely Saturday, the tip had not come from anonymous fanmail. Instead, on Friday, he had gotten a call from his friend Bonnie. She had quite a few connections, and occasionally sent some more suspicious sounding things on to Bonfire. Apparently she had gotten an anonymous message, to meet somebody in a small bar. A jazz club even. Right up Bonfire’s alley! Well, he was always up to investigating whatever Bonnie sent him, most of it turned out to lead to bigger things. And considering it was a Jazz Club? He was actually fairly excited for what could possibly come from this. Maybe it’d be dangerous, but hey, he’d atleast have a good reason to spend money and go to a Jazz Club. And then it started raining. Well great. It wasn’t terrible, but it certainly worsened Bonfire’s mood a bit. Also meant he had to take the bus again. Public Transport, truly a method fit of a hero like him. And so, he left his apartment bringing along his messenger bag, he might need it for this job. It was a Saturday, so going out and not getting home until late wasn’t really suspicious. And off he was, to wait for the bus he had just missed by a few seconds. Well great. And not too long later, a man entered the Bum Note. He probably wouldn’t have drawn too much attention, if it wasn’t for the fact his head wasn’t there. It had effortlessly combined with the smoke in the room, making Bonfire’s usual “costume” look a bit silly. He wore a plain black raincoat, and some rather eccentric cyan pants. Immediately, Cass was greeted with the smell of smoke. He’d not been too big a fan of it before, but ever since Bonfire, he’d grown to enjoy it. Still didn’t beat the smell of burning pinecones, but it wasn't all that bad. He hadn’t gotten any information beyond “Walk inside”, so after taking a quick look around the club, he moved up to order a drink, while enjoying the sight and sound of the musicians on stage. Certainly his looks would attract whatever was waiting for him here. “Hey. I’ll take the most flammable, not too expensive drink you have in stock.”
  8. 1) What would you like to explore with your character narratively / development / personality wise? So far I've not really had a chance to do much with the character, and I'm quite interested in seeing how he plays outside of straight-up combat. If I have to narrow it down, probably the diplomacy/bluffing focus I've not really used so far, which should go well with spies! 2) Where would you like to go with your character? Same as above, some diplomacy stuff would be insteresting to explore. He's still new, so there's a lot of freedom to do things in general! 3) What would be a good internal conflict for your character? I imagine it's things like having to keep a secret, having to keep to a strict plan, maybe also working with his weakness when it comes to water, considering it's on an island. Some more generic stuff like dilemma are always fun too!

    1. Where is your hero from? The Planet of Lyanka, or Lyanka I in proper formatting, it orbited an isolated star of the same name, before said star went supernova during the 2000 years of suspended animation. 2. How would your hero physically describe him/herself? Is this different from how others would? For a Lyankan? Somewhat trained, but not too physically imposing. Not especially beautiful, but not ugly either. Generally, fairly average for a soldier. Any more culturally diverse place? She stands out, due to being a lot taller and muscular than most, at around 8 ft. it is pretty easy to look rather intimidating. It is hard for people to describe her face however, since she tends to keep on her helmet whenever possible. 3. Does your hero have distinguishing speech characteristics or recurring mannerisms? Apart from still being used to military terminology, no. 4. What is your hero's motivation? To continue what she was trained to do, protect those around her. Whether they be her fellow praetorians, or the innocent population of the galaxy. She also strives to learn about the fate of her people after the star of Lyanka went supernova. 5. What are your hero's greatest strengths and weaknesses? Barrier is physically imposing, able to defend herself, as well as her allies, against most direct damage. However, she is fairly slow and somebody that does not use classical attacks could easily outmaneuver her abilities. 6. What does your hero love? What does your hero hate? Barrier loves the feeling of helping people, but also that of a quiet day spent relaxing. While she does follow Lyankan military philosophy and not act offensively if somehow possible, she also enjoys a good fight. Meanwhile, she dislikes feeling unable to do anything, especially if somebody is in danger. She also dislikes people acting charging into combat without proper planning, showing off, and generally acting brashly. 7. How would you describe your character's mental and emotional state? All in all, Barrier is mentally stable. However, like the other Praetorians she has lost everything she knew, even her planet, which does leave a lot of scars. 8. What does your hero fear the most? Being unable to defend those around her like when the Praetorians got captured by the curator and she was in the medbay unconscious. 9. What is your character's greatest ambition? Barrier’s greatest ambition is to learn what happened of her people, their history after the war with the communion, and what has become of them nowadays. 10. How does your hero feel about the state of the world and his/her place in it? Barrier has not been back awake for long, and is still getting used to the galaxy two millennia after everything she knew. So far, her experiences have been rather positive, having seen many people work together. 11. Does your hero have any prejudices? How does he/she get along with others? Barrier has some prejudices towards people who use mind reading, mind control and similar powers, both since they are one of her weaknesses and since they blur the lines between friend and foe for everyone involved. 12. Where do your heroes loyalties lie? In what order? Barrier’s only true loyalties lie with the Praetorians, the only thing she still knows for sure. She will chase any information about Lyanka she can find, but it is the Praetorians that she will return to afterwards. 13. Does your hero have a lover or partner? How do they feel about the hero now? Barrier has not had a lover in over 2050 years, her last love was during her time at the academy. 14. Does your hero have a family? What is the relationship there like? She only grew up with a father, who died not long after she joined the praetorians. 15. How would the people closest to your hero describe him or her? A big warrior with a big shield, always on the lookout and making sure those around her stay safe. 16. Is your hero a role model? Probably. She is fairly heroic in what she does, but then again, most people are a lot more in danger when they try doing what she does. 17. How spiritual is your hero? Does your hero follow a relgious tradition? Barrier follows the ancient Lyankan traditions of worshipping the spirits of the fallen, from whom her shield draws most of it’s power. This makes her rather spiritual, and she is open about this. 18. Is your hero part of a team, or would he/she like to be? Why? Barrier is part of the praetorians and has been for over 2040 years. She has seen many join, many leave, and many die. 19. How does your hero feel about the place of metahumans and aliens on Earth? Barrier barely even knows of earth. As for the galaxy as a whole? As somebody that stands out in most places, she is used to being treated differently than others, and wishes everybody would just treat people well, regardless of their origin. 20. If you could give one piece of advice to your hero, what would it be? Calm down, relax, and then take your time to get accustomed to the galaxy as it is now.
  11. Thread for the Lyankan Shieldbearer herself; Barrier! 20 Q Hell Q
  12. Cass looked around a bit, scanning the area. This was more of a general reaction that had started to happen more and more ever since he’d started being Bonfire, but nevertheless was quite noticeable to him and those around him. Then, he continued talking, even though he wasn’t quite sure what to say. “You’ll have to excuse me, I am not well-versed in international politics or their influence on our daily lives, I doubt I can reliably answer your question about Dakana and New Freedom.” He looked at the man who was now talking, and once again felt like the least intelligent person in the room. Which probably wasn’t that far off, but hey, the others didn’t have an alternate identity that spent most of his time saving lives and fighting crime! “I agree, I also believe that humanity works best when exchanging ideas and cooperating. I’m not quite sure on your opinion on factions, since there is definitely space for them to work towards not separating themselves from others, but like the mob mentality you mentioned, it is much easier for everybody involved to not pursue it, and for everything to remain as it is. I’m not quite sure how much isolation is even possible anymore in times like these however, most of what we do in our daily lives immediately makes us connected to those around us, and avoiding this would come at the cost of most of the luxuries of the modern life.”
  13. ...I knew I forgot something For simplicity's sake (and since I'm lazy), let's go with Affects Others and Half Effect, yeah.
  14. And another Area Attack, aimed at the fleeing thugs! And again it's a DC18 for whoever gets caught in the area.
  15. Well, that had worked a fair bit better than imagined. One down, two about to be down. No longer outnumbered. All and all, this situation started to look better by the second. Bonfire was about ready to try and finish the remaining two thugs, when more appeared. And they ran away. Well, that wasn’t so nice now, was it? These didn’t look like they were too much of a threat to him, so the cloud of smoke left it’s cover and flew over to the sidewalk the three thugs were running away on. Maybe he would be able to take them out quickly enough so the fellow crimefighters could keep dealing with the two more dangerous individuals. “Hey guys, don’t just run away! We’re not done yet! Don’t let your buddies get all the fun! What’cha got in those bags?“ The three thugs by now probably had an idea what Bonfire’s powers were, but that didn’t stop him from summoning another cloud of smoke on the ground and having it shoot up, it seemed like the most reasonably thing to do when chasing multiple people.
  16. Feinting the Lightning Thug again, -5 for move action and he gets +1 since this is the second time i've done this 1d20 + 14 = 29 If it suceeds, using set up to transfer the surprise attack to whoever decides to attack him next! As a standart action, Area against the Fire Thug and if possible range wise one of the other two. DC 18 Reflex for anybody in the area!
  17. And the cavalry had arrived. This is what Bonfire had hoped would happen at some point, but it certainly was quicker and more ... over the top, than he expected. Well, no reason to complain about backup! And hey, this could work out to his favour. He was in a rather comfortable position right now, the newcomer had certainly gotten the attention of his enemies. Maybe this would allow Bonfire to try and do the thing he tried before again, take out the Ice-Controller by suffocating him. Then again, trying to do it again was the most obvious move and probably what his opponent expected. Maybe it was time to do the simplest thing. “Hey, talking is cool and all, but keep your focus on the battle! We’re still fighting here!" "Lightning-Man, we’ve had this before! Focus on your enemies! I'm standing around here, and you’re letting your guard down! Don’t just smalltalk, defend yourself! Look, I could easily hit you right now! I’m probably not going to, but you get the idea. Don’t give your opponents an opening like this! Defend thineself or something, because who knows, maybe I will actually attack you anyways! “ This time he created a bit of smoke below the Lightning controller, but didn’t follow through again, instead smoking out the area around the Fire-Controlle and extending it outwards, it was time to capitalize on this opening! Hopefully having fire-abilites did not grant him any protection towards smoke and heat.
  18. Well then, looks like for once being suspicious of somebody did not yield any results. Arguably the preferable result. So it was about … diving equipment. What massive crime could this be the set-up for? Nothing that sprang to mind. Well, that was useful knowledge Bonfire would have to share with the fellow investigators afterwards. And now Kirkpatrick was talking to the others. It’d be suspicious if he knew of this without being in the room at the time. So the cloud of smoke quickly slipped through the non-sealed windows, back inside on the floor below, flew back up to the second floor, and reappeared as a more humanoid figure, wearing the same clothes as before. He acted as if he just saw Kirkpatrick talk to the others and walked back into the room. Well great, it was in fact a speedster. Not fun. Good luck somehow catching one of them. Then again, first of all they’d have to find her. Well, at least their adversary had a pretty good sense of style. Scarves always were a positive! Kirkpatrick suggesting all this stuff definetly didn’t make her more trustworthy, but for now Cass would trust her. Then again, she had just suggested walking around beaches. Cassidy Bauer had never been a fan of beaches, and ever since Bonfire happened, beaches were to be avoided whenever possible. Wind and water at one place? Not that much fun if you’re vulnerable to both. “Buyers? Who are you thinking of? I agree with the Shrike here, we need you to cooperate further if we want to figure out what’s happening.”
  19. Barrier / Kresh Melek / The Shieldbearer Power Level: 10/12 (150/194PP) Trade-Offs: -5 Defense, +5 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 44 In Brief: Shieldbearer wielding the ancient shield of an ancient civilization. Residence: CoVic station, wherever she goes Base of Operations: CoVic station Identity: Public Birthplace: The planet Lyanka Occupation: Praetorian, Shieldbearer Affiliations: Praetorians, Ancient Delaztri Empire, Lyankans Family: None Alive Description: Age: 213 (And 2000 in stasis) Apparent Age: around 40 for a human Gender: Female Ethnicity: non-human Height: 8‘8‘‘ Weight: 9488 lbs Eyes: Dark Green Hair: Black, cut short Appearance: Kresh is about 8 ft. tall, with light grey skin. All of her limbs are longer than those of a human would be, and by nature she only has 4 fingers, all but the thumb arranged in a triangle, on each hand. Other than that, she looks rather humanoid she is somewhat muscular, most of her muscle based in her legs and feet. She wears white Armor protecting her torso and legs, as well as a full helmet, also held in white. On her arms she wears bracers, covering up her entire lower arms, both with mechanisms to hold the shield of Elmega without causing too much encumbrance. She can also put it onto her back, her Armor also being able to hold it. Power Descriptions: The shield of Elmega is a grey kite shield with green accents. It is about 7 ft. tall, and weights around 200 pounds. It was masterfully crafted long in Lyanka’s past, from the most masterful materials to be found, and infused with the warrior spirits of Lyanka. Its powers come from both the technology it is crafted with and the spirits in it, manifesting as a green glow. History: The Planet of Lyanka was the only planet in orbit of a supergiant star. It existed in the habitable zone, and itself was an above average size planet, causing it to have very high gravity. The people of Lyanka were a race of warriors, but also a peaceful one. While they held the art of combat in highest regard, they also believed that an aggressive war was a lost cause. This caused the shield, usable in combat but a defensive weapon at its core, to become the symbol of Lyankan culture. The most promising recruits to the military were admissioned to the academy of Gayaza. Amongst them, Kresh Melek. The young recruit had proven incredibly proficient in the defensive arts, and quickly became one of the highest scoring soldiers in the academy’s history. When the Delaztri Empire, a close ally of Lyanka, called for help, Lyanka replied. And amongst the forces sent was Kresh Melek, having only recently finished training at the academy with highest grades. She led a contingent of Lyankan forces, and garnered attention of the Praetorians, whose ranks she quickly joined. Over the next 40 years, Kresh fought when needed, but spent most of the time in quiet meditation, almost lifeless to non-Lyankan around her. Then, the communion attacked. Equipped with the shield of Elmega, a powerful artefact forged long in Lyanka’s past and infused with the spirits of warriors from Lyanka’s past, she set out among the biggest force of Lyankan soldiers to ever set foot off the planet. Combat was long and harsh, and the Lyankan soldiers proved their abilities. Many fell, many more were badly injured. Kresh fought alongside the praetorians, saving many a life. In the end, when the fighting was over, Kresh was barely holding onto her life, but the war was won. Many had fallen beside her, she did what she could but it had not been enough. And then, while still unconscious in the medbay, unable to defend herself or anyone else, she and her fellow praetorians were captured by the curators. When Kresh woke up again, 2000 years had passed. Even with the incredibly long lifespan of a Lyankan, this was an eternity. She fought in the incursion, but immediately afterwards she chose to set out, learn what had become of her people, and meditate about what had happened. The only thing she learned was that in the 2000 years that had passed, Lyanka was no more. Its star had, as predicted, gone supernova. Devastated, she started to search for any information on whether or not any Lyankans had escaped and resettled, but so far, has not learned of any information. After a period of meditation and consideration, Kresh decided to seek her fellow praetorians, they could most likely use her help. They also were the only thing she knew that remained, and she would not lose this last thing too. Personality & Motivation: Lyankan warrior culture was based around defending those around you and considering your every action. It considers going onto the offense as a mistake, too prone to sudden changes and surprises. Meditation also played a major role. While the other Lyankan warriors might have perished, Kresh still upholds these values to their fullest. She still seeks to find out whatever she can about what remains of Lyankan culture, and protect everything that reminds her of the past. Her fellow praetorians are the only thing she knows of that still remains, so she will protect them with everything she has. Powers & Tactics: Most of Kresh’s powers are focused around the shield of Elmega, an ancient shield from Lyanka’s past, forged from the highest quality materials and infused with various powers. She focuses on defending those around her with various powers, and herself is incredibly resilient thanks to her Lyankan physique. If necessary, she also packs quite a mean punch, once again enhanced by her physique. Complications: My home is no more: Kresh’s home was destroyed in the time she was in suspended animation, and she still feels guilty about not being able to help her people. She does not know whether or not any of them survived, and will throw away everything to chase any information, small as it may be. The values of a shieldbearer: Kresh still follows the code of the Lyankan warriors, not voluntarily going onto the offense unless absolutely necessary. She will also protect those around her from any danger, no matter how unimportant they may be, and even if it puts her into more danger than necessary. Amongst other things, she also sees taking unprepared actions as problematic, something to be avoided whenever possible. No past, no belongings: Kresh owns nothing but her shield, her clothing, and whatever she receives from people. The Legends: History may have forgotten Lyanka, but it has not forgotten the praetorians. Whether or not they are remembered as heroes or as villains, however, changes in many places. A true warrior physique: Due to her being Lyankan, Kresh is over 8 ft. tall. Many people might be wary of her, or even consider her a monster due to this. Especially nowadays where nobody remembers the Lyankans. A long time: Lyankan culture, due to both its planet high gravity, and its member’s long lifespan, ran much slower than that of many other races. While Kresh has adapted to some degree, her perception of what a long time is still is a lot different from that of other people, and she still acts less quickly than most people. 20. I'm already in one of your threads so if anybody else wants to feel free to pick them above me, but: Bonfire's always up for street justice
  21. Well, here's the draft of an Idea I've been working on. Since apparently the praetorians are always looking for more, I decided to turn this idea I had a while ago into an actual character. Fluff's not written out yet, but essentially: A big alien with a big shield of some descriptor. Focused on support, giving allies immunities and similar effects, as well as tanking things and being strong. Formatting's a bit wonky since I'm on my laptop and proper formatting is a bit difficult to do, but this is a rought draft anyways! It's a WIP so I suppose check in every once in a while to see what's changed! Player Name: Olopi Character Name: Barrier / Kresh Melek / The Shieldbearer Power Level: 10 Trade-Offs: -5 Defense, +5 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 0 In Brief: Shieldbearer wielding the ancient shield of an ancient civilization. Residence: - Base of Operations: - Catchphrase Alternate Identity: - Identity: Public Birthplace: The planet Lyanka Occupation: Praetorian, Shieldbearer Affiliations: Praetorians, Ancient Delaztri Empire, Lyankans Family: None Alive Description: Age: 213 (And 2000 in stasis) Apparent Age: around 40 for a human Gender: Female Ethnicity: non-human Height: 14‘8‘‘ Weight: 12488 lbs Eyes: Dark Green Hair: Black, cut short Appearance: Kresh is about 14 ft. tall, with light grey skin. It is about 10 ft. tall, and weights around 200 pounds. Instead of fighting, she chose to set out, learn what had become of her people, and meditate about what had happened. A true warrior physique: Due to her being Lyankan, Kresh is over 14 ft. 22. Move action to get into cover and then a ranged suffocate 1d20+8 = 11 In the off case that hits, that's a DC 18 Fort save and if he fails that a DC10 Con save against going unconscious, with it going up by 1 for every turn. (Okay, who gave me the weighed dice )
  23. Well, that actually worked. Partially. Ice-guy didn’t attack, and apparently these robbers had some kind of boss. Sure, all of the robbers were still standing mostly uninjured, but at least there was a quick opening thanks to Bonfire’s fasttalking. What now, then? Cover. Considering his partial immunity taking cover behind a burning car wasn’t quite as terrible of an idea as it was for everyone else. Still not a good one, but probably better than floating around in the open. So the cloud of smoke quickly floated behind cover, quickly thought about what to do, and sent a small burst of smoke moving towards the Ice-Thug. A simple plan, hit him with the burst and then focus on creating more smoke and having it travel down his throat. Essentially, suffocate him. Only until he was unconscious. Sure, it wasn’t that heroic, but those people who’s lives Bonfire had saved by doing the same thing two weeks ago certainly didn’t feel like complaining. The plan had it’s flaws, sure, but if it worked that’d be the biggest threat removed. Now the blast just had to hit and Bonfire had to not get interrupted.
  24. Okay, so as a standart action that'd be a Distract(Feat) using my bluff against the Ice wielder: 1d20+19 = 23 He resists with bluff, sense motive or will, and if he fails is dazed. As a move action it's a Feint against the Lightning wielder, taking the -5 to do it as a move: 1d20+14 = 31 If the feint suceeds I'll use Set-Up to transfer the surprise attack to eternal dragon (yes, he has a code of honor, I am aware)
  25. Cold. So cold. The shield of smoke and fire seemed to at least take care of the actual damaging part of the ice, but it still meant everything around Bonfire now was rather cold. This was bad. Outgunned, Outnumbered, and the enemies had the advantage element wise. Well, it was time to get a bit creative. Maybe if he’d create an opening the police would be able to act. As long as they could somehow deal with the fire-controller, but Mr. Icy over there was a lot more of a threat at the moment. “Hey, Ice Guy. Ski masks, really? At least try being a bit creative. You’ve got these fancy gauntlets and all, and you don’t even incorporate them into your costume? Make masks or something, maybe get sleeveless shirts. Do you want to be known as those guys that robbed a place, or do you want to be known as The Gauntlet Gang? Just a suggestion, that name, but I think it fits. Seriously, you have superpowers, do something with your attire. Ski masks are something the generic minion wears, not something befitting of somebody able to control the Elements!” “Oh, and before I forget it, hey, Lightning Person! Don’t turn your back on me just because you’re fighting somebody else! I can easily hit you still” And so, a slowly moving cloud of dark smoke flew out towards the lightning controller in combat with the fellow Hero, before dissolving right before it would’ve hit. Maybe this would allow his fellow hero to get a surprising hit it.
