  1. Agnes gave a little laugh “You should try living in the shadow of the symbol of your nation! I’ve spent the last couple of months avoiding Britannia. I can’t help thinking that she’ll look down in me as a lesser hero.†She spent a few minutes carefully picking apart and eating her croissant. “The one thing I’ve learnt from the music industry is no one gets the big time straight away. Oh yeah you can get that initial boost, but unless you work at it you’ll never get anyway. The Beatles didn’t have overnight success, they learnt there trade in Hamburg, and I’m sure Centurion didn’t save the world on his first day.†She took a quick sip of her tea. “Mmm not bad… suppose what I’m saying, do your best to try and help people, that how you should measure your success the people you help and the people you inspire. I’m sure the magically forces won’t mind, if they didn’t think you were worth it you wouldn’t have been given the gift.â€
  2. Toughness save 1d20+8=11, Dazed and Bruised. Nicely done. And I was thinking of Lady Fatale for a name if you want to keep her around as a recuring villina.
  3. As all my skills are mostly social I'll take a pop at the garabage men. So using diplomacy 1d20+9=28, thats 34 if they think me attractive. That should get me on there side if needed I'm try Gather Information from them 1d20+8=20. Hopefully that should cover it.
  4. Lucy had never been to a real crime scene before but had seen lots of crime reports, almost a century out of date but hopefully the principles are didn’t change. She crouched down beside the body being careful not to disturb any of the evidence scanning the body to see if she could spot anything useful. “Yes anything you’ve found out would be a great help.†She turned to Leviathan holding out a hand “Hello there I'm Revenant, how about we cooperate to help with this case. If that’s okay with you Detective? It’s your case after all.†She knew from Rhonda that some cops could be a little possessive with their cases so no harm in asking.
  5. She genuinely intrested in Asad, but she's not being totally honest.
  6. “I’m not sure about flying I might not like the heights.†Boy could she be any more ditzy? Why didn’t she just go the whole hog and start wearing a bikini and bunny ears? Still it didn’t hurt allowing people to under estimate and she had to admit the guy was cute and charming and well it had been over a year since she had been in any kind of relationship. “So have you tried anything other than “just flyingâ€, you know you hear all these rumours…†she gave a sly grin. Ugh so unsubtle, just shoot me now.
  7. “Nothing to deep, I just like to think about everything that going on around me. Mostly I enjoy the view of the city and the little objects and people flying around.†“I don’t sleep and you can only watch so much television. So I like to just sit quietly and enjoy the view. It’s like that eastern philosophy; I can’t quite remember the name.†She looked thoughtful for a second and gave a little smile “I not sure if that makes me shallow or deep. Maybe a bit of both? I’m really not that complicated a characterâ€, well expect for my past, “What you see is mostly what you get.â€
  8. Agnes was shocked at the look of, fear? Terror?, that crossed Liz’s face. “Oh I’m sorry I don’t actually read mind, it’s more if you were around in one of my past’s or I could…†Agnes drew a breath and started again. “How about I just forget all about this and just go and buy the drinks. He’s hoping they make a decent tea.†She gave a mock put upon look. After taking order and arranging the various drinks and snack Agnes sat back down to restart the conversation. “So could you tell me more about these Lightbearers? I’ve never heard this term used before.â€
  9. Behind Bluesman the gangster aimed his gun to give the killing shot. “Actually I’d look again.†From the window Revenant came flying down, a well-aimed kick connecting the gangster’s already sore jaw. The force of the blow was just too much for the poor guy who when crashing down to the grown. “Sorry I’m late Bluesman, but there wasn’t anyone to give me a lift up.†She gave a friendly smile “So who’s your friend here?†“I’m not his friend, and I don’t believe we’ve been introduced. It’s a shame you won’t be staying here for long.†Then clutching her head revenant collapsed to the ground, blood pouring from her ears. As Bluesman came to his senses he saw two things, the remaining gangster sat in Bobby's chair enjoying his finest Whiskey. And Revenant on her knees beside him blood pouring out of her ears. “Now then Mr Bluesman why don’t we discuss how you can help me, and yourself, to solve this process peacefully.†What choice did he have? Then glancing down he saw Revenant look up smile at him and wink.
  10. So Revenant finally get to strut her stuff, quick kick to the Gangster 1d20+11=24, yah DC 26 save He rolls 1d20+5=11, so the gangster is down. Now Femme has a go 1d20+3=11, oh sneaks in a hit. My DC 25 save. 1d20+10=15. Why am I the only person who harms my own character? Disabled and Dazed. So I say that's a setback, hero points for all and we'll skip a round.Revenant's recovered and is playing patsie. So to summarize Revenant 20, Unharmed, 2hp Bluesman 18, Unharmed, 4hp Gangster 12, Unconcious Femme 7, Unharmed And you'r up.
  11. Sorry its a Bluff, I don't have my books on me so I trusting your memory.
  12. GM The gangster didn’t seem to see the second punch and whilst he hadn’t gone down he was swaying. The woman’s reaction was confusing; she stood there totally relaxed clapping at Bluesman’s actions. “You’re doing very well I must say, but do we really need all this violence? After all I’m just a simple businesswoman and not here to start a fight.†She gave a broad friendly smile, looking as she said totally non-threatening. Just what was she doing, why was she just standing there talking? It was an unusual tactic in such a situation.
  13. Nah, it all works in context. His save. 1d20+5-1=17, so another bruised and Dazed. Femme going for distract 1d20+25=33, you need to make a Sense Motive or Will save or be stunned for a round.
  14. GM Totally caught by surprise the gangster staggered back more in shock from the force of the blow. “Damn supers they’ve always spoiling everything.†He pulled his large pistol from its holster. The woman just smiled “It’s a shame such a nicely built young man; hopefully he doesn’t have any more surprises.†With all their attention focused on the Bluesman, Bobby always knowing when to back out from a fight silently slipped out of the room locking the door behind him. For now Bluesman was alone in the room with two people who wanted to hurt him, just another ordinary day.
  15. Techincally her power is subtle, but as she was being so blatant we'll let it slide. Our little femme fatale doesn't have a name yet so we'll just call her Femme for now (I've open to ideas on her name). k, for the gangster I'm using the Soldier archtype for a tiny bit more survivabilty. First his toughness save 1d20+5=19, so he's bruised. His Iniative 1d20+1=12 Then Femme 1d20+2=7 and Revenant 1d20+2=20, phew. So we have Revenant 20, Unharmed, 1hp Bluesman 18, Unharmed, 3hp Gangster 12, Bruised Femme 7, Unharmed Okay I'm going to say Revenant will take another round to get into the room, giving you a round to strut your stuff. So your up next.
  16. “Really I’d never really noticed. I’ve always played down my looks, it helped fit in when I was doing my job.†She gave a small laugh “No heights have never bothered me, I’ve never been afraid of anything. My mom always told me to think things through but never be fearful.†a sad look passed her face. “As for the roof, maybe after the restaurant I’ll show you. It allows me to see the city in all its glory, gives me the space to think about things. It’s my own special thinking place; I’ve been doing it since I was little.â€
  17. The guy's just your standard gangster, but the woman is a supervillian . I'm using AA's Femme Fatale She's using emotion control to try and calm you. It's a Will save DC20.
  18. The man on Bluesman’s dramatic entry seemed to panic going straight for his gun, the woman however seem unnaturally calm, put an arm to stop her partner. “Now there’s no need for violence. Mr Bluesman here is just worried we’re up to no good.†She gave a concerned look “When we just want to talk to Mr Johnson about him storing something for us.†She walked forward and put a hand on his chest. “You can understand that can’t you? Why don’t you just sit down and join us?†Outside ignored by all there was a general clattering and swearing, in numerous languages as Revenant hauled herself up to the window.
  19. “Wow I didn’t think anyone over here had even heard of me. I don’t think it had even made the Billboard 100.†Agnes looked thoughtful for a bit “Actually I’m in the process of recording a new album. Less pop more soulful. A little like Adele or Joss Stone (no relation). Maybe you could you could come to the wrap party? I’m still looking for my plus one.†She gave him a coy look. She leant on the railing and watched in wonder as Victory made his entrance, attracting the attention of almost everyone in the room. “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to do the thing he does, just fly around everywhere whenever you wanted to.†She hoped her voice sound just wistful enough.
  20. Lucy had finally managed to have her promised night out with Rhonda and Yolanda; they were pleasant company and hadn’t gotten to drunk. After helping the two into a taxi she had decided to explore this part of the riverside. When she heard all the sirens and light she had almost no hesitation to go and investigate. There were many disadvantages of having a costume that was basically a suit, there were however many advantages. This was one of them. With her newest purchase a smart long coat and fancy new boots she looked just the part of to blend in with the other detectives. She’d made it almost to the center of the action before one of the officers challenged her. Removing her glasses to reveal her solid black eye she gave the officer a friendly look. “Hello there I was wondering if I you help you in any way?â€
  21. She was tempted to just grab him up and run towards to restaurant, she was feeling a little guilty that he’d let her dance so long an miss the restaurant. But she was also aware that he really just wanted to walk and talk for a little longer, and she couldn’t argue with that she’d always enjoyed wandering the streets of Freedom City. So why not do it with some pleasant company. Soon she’d have to pay the piper and tell him everything, but not just yet. “Then let’s take another evening walk. And if we can get something to eat, well that’s a bonus.â€
  22. Agnes reacted quickly when Liz started to sway quickly manoeuvring gently her into a chair and watching her with concern until she seemed to recover from her strange attack. Only when Liz had managed to convince her that everything was okay did she finally sit down, still a concerned look on her face. “Does that happen often to you? I might be able to help you in some way.†She took a deep breath. “When I was first chosen I spent a year subsumed by the spirit, we spent a year wander the UK helping people out. I’m not sure how, and I think the spirit stops me knowing exactly, but it was some kind of ritual.†“The upside of this is I can access the memories and knowledge’s of all those that the spirit has inhabited before. Though some of the effects of the ritual has faded, for a while whenever I accessed the knowledge’s I took on their form.†She looked thoughtful for a second. “I can’t describe how weird it is to look in the mirror and see somebody elses face staring back.†“If you want I can try to find some memories or information that could help your condition.â€
  23. “A secret identity yes I should try that one of these days†she gave a cheeky smile. She then smoothly lifted Bluesman smoothly up to the window; it took her no effort as though the he weighed nothing at all. She locked her arms in place offering the Bluesman a stable viewing platform of the events of the scene in the room. Someone had thoughtfully left the window open; the voices drifted through explained this lucky coincidence. “There you go I’m afraid an old man like me can’t break the habit. My doctor say’s I should give these up.†He waved around a large cigar “Would either of you like one, there Cuban this place has an reputation to uphold.†The guy sitting there looked uncomfortable, probably unnerved by Bobby constant chatter. The woman however was a different matter she held herself with some confidence effortlessly taking everything in whilst sipping whiskey, some of Bobby’s finest.
  24. After a couple of rough week, all that business with Nora came to mind, it was nice to have an evening of simple pleasures. And had to admit Johnny was good company, showing just the right amount of concern and not asking too many questions. Though she knew by the end of night she would have to tell him the truth, she figured she owed him that much. But for now she was just enjoying the dance, she had always found dance and music to be calming and relaxing. She could do this all night, literally, she never seem to get tired anymore. But that would be unfair and despite never feeling hunger it would be nice to have a romantic meal. “Let’s just finish this dance and well go try this fancy restaurant of yours.â€
  25. “I use to know this little Jazz place that was perfect for a spot of dancing, I wonder if it’s still open? Maybe for next time I’ll take you out to a club, though I’m guessing it won’t be your normal haunt.†Lucy looked thoughtful for a minute before breaking into another of her broad grins. “When have you ever known someone turn down a good meal? When are we booked on for? Do we have time for another dance; I think you’ve almost got it.†She gave a rather longing look at the other couples dancing around her.
