  1. I'll settle for Diplomacy 1d20+5=14, thats 18 if they find me attractive. I think I liked it better when it was someone elses roll .
  2. With lightning speed and Young Britannia caught the burly man fist, holding it there with almost no effort at all. “Whoa! There big guy. Hitting him isn’t going to help any, there expecting violence let try a little carrot for now.†She wiped the spittle off her face with her free hand. “As for this I’ve had worse in Primary School. What next, are you going to pull my hair and call it unruly?†She gave her sweetest smile. “It’s me or the mob; there want a little payback for you harming their beloved Ms Wheatley. I might be strong but I can’t stop them all. I can however keep you safe, but I need you to cooperate.â€
  3. Lucy noticed Nora discomfort and felt a little guilty, it was obvious that her caring master had kept her wild and feral to better keep her under control. She was determined not to treat Nora the same way. “Sorry Nora sometimes I forget that this is as new to you as it is to me. He is someone who understand the way of our kind those who died but won’t remain dead.†She hoped she sounded as guilty as she felt. “I’m going to be honest with you Nora, I don’t have the answers to your questions but there a big city out there and I’m willing to help you find the people who can give you the answers.â€
  4. There was something about Lord Steam’s car that reminded her of a Tin Lizzie, a nice little reminder of her past. She ran her finger down the across the hood as she wandered over to the passenger seat. “How could I not accept a ride in such a wonderful machine?†she clambered up into the seat giving Leviathan a little nod of thanks. “I feel I should be wearing goggles of maybe a scarf. I hope this automobile has a good turn of speed, if he’s involved he could be making his leave as we speak.†She settled back for the ride even if she suspected she could run faster.
  5. Well this was it the moment of truth when she found out if she could do this. It was a universal truth that there were two main players in a band the signer and the guitarist, if she could convince him she was a winner. She walked over to close to him and looked up into his brown eyes. Damn he was attractive… wait no focus. She offered out a hand resisting the urge to touch his chest. “Annice Stone, aka Annice Averbury. Friends call me Agnes.†She gave a small smile “We’ll start with Annice for now.†Gathering up her courage she went for the simple approach. “To be honest, I’ve never played with a band before, I want to make sure I can do it before we start recording.†She wandered over to the Mic stand and adjusted it to her level. “So what do you feel like playing?â€
  6. Her mom always use to joke about little Lucy bring home all the local strays. She seemed to have a knack for collecting around her others who needed her. She guessed she was here because she cared a little too much. She wouldn’t have it any other way. “I’ll find you somewhere, and eventually a job. I’ve got this number for an expert, a Necromancer, we can go and she him see if he can help.†She was beginning to think, hope against hope, that Nora could be helped. Maybe she should take her off of the meat hook now?
  7. Now the adrenaline of the performance and the chase had died down last night celebrations suddenly came back to greet her. She fought down the nausea, vomiting was not conducive to a hero image. She also had to be careful here, she didn’t want to be the local Angel of Mons. She floated on down to the man holding the assassins “Hello there I’m a friend of Ada, I’ve been looking after her, keeping her safe. Be careful with those men I need to know why they attacked. Could someone go fetch a Bobby?†She landed gracefully next to one of the men and leaned in close. “Care to tell me why you’re here?â€
  8. Released of her bond Lucy took a few moments to flex her muscles and take in her environment. Obviously something had changed but she wasn’t quite sure what. She wracked her brain trying to remember what she knew about Haiti. Her brother had been a marine out there and told the family lurid tales of their strange customs, but nothing concert. She’d always dismissed most of his tales as just stories but now she wasn’t exactly true. “So here we are, so what happens now?†she repeated the phrase in Latin. She hoped she was recovered enough to respond to the answer.
  9. Agnes was torn for a moment between the poor man and stopping the assassins, but he seemed to be breathing and she needed answers. Putting on a little burst of speed she easily caught up with whilst still making their way to the foyer, she was lucky that they didn’t know exactly what to make of her most mooks in her world would have been braced from some kind of hero action. “You know I don’t really speak Old-Dead language…†she ignore the bit of her telling her she could and concentrated her power. “… but I do know one phrase you that might interest you.†“Fiat Lux†She released a burst of pure light.
  10. k, First move around so I'm within 10ft of them, next spend my shiny hero point to stunt this ability from my Light Array. Dazzle 4 ( Extra: Area (Burst), Selective Attack) - Blinding burst of light. Everyone out to 20ft, except my allies, need to make a Reflex save v DC 14 or be blinded.
  11. “I remember those times; we’re probably one of the few who do remember them. I don’t think there are many alive in this country who knows what it means to be truly hungry.†Lucy looked wistfully for a few moments. “But that doesn’t mean we have to act like those day long gone. Too much harm was done to feed the needs and wants of people.†She absent mindedly rubbed the scar on her forehead. “You can decide to stop being Bloody Nora, and become just Nora, so make up for the blood by your deeds. But I can’t make the choice, neither can your Master, it’s all up to you.†She gave a friendly little smile. “But I’ll help as much as I can, if my blood and flesh will cure your hunger I’ll freely give it.â€
  12. Arcane Lore : 1d20+4=14, so close Notice : 1d20+8=28 and Iniative : 1d20+2=3. Well you know I'm slow and steady, but really observant. :D
  13. I like the idea of a mindscape battle, and if I do really bad we can still do the body swap!
  14. I'm happy to be Mrs Peel to Lord Steams John Steed .
  15. Lucy carefully paid attention to everything the woman was saying, she wasn’t as skilled as Lord Steam but wasn’t completely without skills. “Well some people are very spritely in there hundreds…†Lucy smiled at some private joke “And I’ve really never had a problem with bouncers.†She looked a little thoughtful for a minute “Are you sure there was nothing that marked out her date as special?†she gently nudged Lord Steam in the arm “And could you stop flirting with the witness for just one minute?†he wry smile showed she wasn’t completely serious. “Anyhow I agree, let’s go find this man.â€
  16. Revenant Bloody Nora Gangland Violence Something Fishy Something Fishy, part II The Charleston Urban Regeneration Young Britannia Light Lunch Making Music Magic Music Hall Mystery Pass the Plate
  17. “Singing in front of a thousand people is easy. It’s harder singing to just a handful of people. What I really fear doing is singing to just a couple of real musicians. People who really know there art and can tell if I’m just bluffing. And when it recorded down it’s just there, you can more or less ignore it apart from occasionally catching your songs on the radio. And that doesn’t happen that often now thank god.†Agnes looked a little embarrassed. “I don’t begrudge my success but let’s just say it’s not my best work.â€
  18. Lucy dipped her head and she looked genuinely sad at Nora’s statements. “I’m not sure if you’d remember but there were always the odd Gentleman who would find some poor weak willed girl and keep her plied with cheap gin to keep her compliant." “That what this Master is doing to you. He doesn’t care about you, he just want to control you keep you compliant." There was now a note of anger in her voice. “You don’t have to be like this. There are people who can help you, I can help you, throw off this addiction and become you person you want to be.â€
  19. K, Diplomcay roll 1d20+9+2=26, yay hopeful she's going along with this.
  20. Young Britannia shrugged off the shot from there steam powered weapons, she’d need to take them out quickly before they did more harm or even make a break for it. But first she had something more important to do first. As she knelt down beside the usher to check on he was okay she tried to keep them talking. “I am Young Britannia, born from the spirit of this land†well a version of this land anyhow “Protector of those who have been denied justice. I step in when the law fails.†Hoping that didn’t sound to hooky she added on to her last comment. “Oh and I’m the one who’s going to kick your butt.â€
  21. k, Must Toughness save 1d20+10=28 Quick Check on the Usher to she if he's okay, 11 if I can take 10, only 1d20+1=6
  22. Agnes had been outside the room for almost five minutes trying to build up the courage to step into the room. This was it a real band with real musicians, she never actually played with a real band before, she couldn’t charm of fool these guy’s if she was no good they’d know it she’d know it. After a day spent in a suit signing the last few documents that made the place 50% hers she’d decided to dress down wearing her most comfortable pair of jeans, some pink Converse and her Frisky and Mannish T-Shirt. She gone for a natural look with just a touch of make-up and her unruly hair tied back. Right this was it time to take charge she straightened up, still a little jittery from too much coffee, and took decisive action. She quietly slipped into the back of the room, just as Josh was beginning his rock blues number. One thing she could tell was actual talent, feeling the flow of the music she, almost subconsciously, began to sing along. Not full word, she wasn’t that good, just improvising sound like in Zeppelins "The Great Gig in the Sky".
  23. “He’s not exactly a caring father is he? When I first woke up this… condition of mine, of us, nearly drove me mad. It took one person, a hero, to set me on the right path.†She look at Nora, calmer now more normal, and there was a brief spark of hope that Nora could still be saved. “It’s not late Nora you don’t have to be like this, you don’t have to listen to what this Master tells you. With a little help you could return to an almost normal life. Instead of living like some animal scrabbling to survive from day to day.â€
  24. Well she had the time, but it had also revealed the full extent of the plan they had for her. She didn’t fear death, she’d already done that, but she couldn’t let someone like Giovanni return to life. “So more than petty revenge you want to swap one Revenant for another. You know he won’t let you live after you return him to life? There no way he would let you live with that much power over him. And I’m probably the only person alive who know how he was.†She turned to the Haitian man and spoke to him in fluent, if not a little rusty, Latin. “â€
  25. “Let me introduce myself… no wait you wouldn’t know that one. I’m here at Ada request; I’m her guardian angel so to speak.†She gave them a pleasant little smile, hand on her hips all the while float a couple of feet from the ground. “I’d ask you to surrender, but I don’t think you’ll go for that. And I suppose you’re not going to tell me who or why to tried to have her killed.†So let me just show you what I can do. With an off handed flick of her wrist she sent a burst of light towards the assassins.
