  1. I don't have anything currently planned but I'd be lying if I said Gauss working with Chimera doesn't sound like fun.
  2. Notice: 1d20+10=22 Gauss, despite almost having an RPG blowup in her face, is taking none of the Royals crap either. Going to do another disarm, 1d20+9=18, I'd like to spend an HP to reroll that... 1d20+9=14 + 10 since the roll was under 10 so 24.
  3. "See you guys down there," Gauss called over her shoulder as she took off after Forever Boy, trying to avoid the trail of pixie dust he was leaving in his wake. 'Between the whale drool and the pixie dust, this hoodie's pretty much toast,' she mentally groaned, 'Small potatoes if Ahab doesn't calm his rusty ass down but still...' Racing into the unnaturally cavernous stomach of the beast, she flew low over the shanties that comprised the 'city', looking for the source of that last crash before finally landing on a sturdy looking building. "Hey, captain Asshole! Forever Boy and I hope you're happy, you found your stupid whale," she yelled towards the chaos below.
  4. Even as the toughs formed into position around their ruined hulk of a van, Gauss was focusing her senses on the metal in their hands. Guns mostly, though she was unable to tell exact make and models from this distance, and one or two blades. She reached out with her right hand, as well as her power, and clenching her fist ripped the weapons right from their owners' hands. "Man, you pendajos really picked a bad night to pull this kind of stunt. Now, I'm going to have to insist we keep these under the supervision of cooler heads," she called out, purple light emanating from her left eye as she moved the floating pile of guns up onto the rooftop by her feet. "I don't care why you're here or who did what, the second you saw a crowd you should have rescheduled. Waaaaaay too many collaterals for you to damage right now."
  5. Power check to attempt to disarm the jerks here to ruin the party. 1d20+9=25
  6. "Forever Boy, I didn't exactly want to meet the Neverworld equivalent of Ahab and his white whale, yet here we are. At this point, I'm picturing Vlad von Zarovich turned up to eleven. Probably with a healthy dose of the vampires from 30 Days of Night thrown in for extra nightmare fuel," she groused. After a minute she added with a wink, some mirth in her voice, "And I'm sure, because you're you, you've messed with him in the past too." As they looked over the city, if she was being honest with herself she would call it a shanty town with delusions of grandeur, the sounds of violence wafting up from within, Gauss nodded, "Yeah, that'd be him." Turning to their guides she asked, "You guys good to get back on your own without us? If we don't deal with this, your city is going to get digested."
  7. 1d20+7=11 I feel like Principal Skinner is looking at the roll going "Pathetic".
  8. "I repeat, I swear to God if we run into anyone from Dracula, I'm hitting you with Vlad's coffin," Gauss said, her hand falling away from her face. Looking back to Red she added, "Not sure if this whale is typical for your dimension but, well, whales from where I'm from don't normally have enough room inside them for a couple houses let alone a city." "Now, who wants to go play catch-up with the jerk with the harpoons? Captain short-temper, as you noted, probably even knows a way we can get out short of trying to punch our way out his mouth," she asked, floating along down the fleshy hallway
  9. 1d20+7=26 Well, that makes up for her poor notice check at least
  10. 1d20+10=23, she's distracted by the guy setting up the adult equivalent of a lemonade stand I guess
  11. Gauss had been out for a late evening flight, needing the time in the air to clear her head after finishing up some of her physics class work. After an hour or so on the aerial equivalent of a run she was ready to settle back in with a cold drink and work on her creative writing class work. Passing the impromptu party however, she made the snap decision to land on a nearby rooftop and make sure things stay under control. After a few minutes of standing on the roof and letting her cape billow in the breeze, she debated floating down and grabbing a soda from the guy who, showing a heck of an entrepreneurial spirit, had grabbed a couple coolers, bags of ice, and cans of drinks to sell. She was surprised a random taco truck had not pulled up by now.
  12. "Gepetto, THE Gepetto, creator and father of Pinocchio? Oh, I can't wait to hear how this Neverworld story differs from what we've been fed for the last hundred and twenty years," Gauss said, crossing her arms and seeming to recline back, as if resting against an invisible wall in mid-air. When Red mentioned a city the floating teen nearly fell from shock, "Wait, Red, you're telling me there's a freaking city inside this stupid sea mammal?" All Gauss was left with was the planting her face in her palm and, eyeing Pan from between the fingers of her right hand mutter to her friend, "I blame you for this."
  13. "Of course. Of course Monstro here would have eaten whole islands. I'm just going to stop talking now before something else wildly implausible I say get confirmed," she sighed, floating along steadily, taking care to avoid any of the drippings coming off the 'roof' of the whale's insides. As the flew further along the, for lack of a better term, corridor of the whale's gullet and the voices ahead became more distinct, Gauss pulled a pair of steel nuts from her pocket, keeping them between her fingers in her left hand. "Easy with the pokin' stick. I go by Gauss. The guy floating beside me shedding concentrated Disney creativity is Forever Boy. The jackass with the harpoon who ran past? Captain Ahab."
  14. Gauss is going to take the van 9 and 10 are using for cover in her magnetokinetic grip and spin it like a top, attempting to hit them both.
  15. "Fun," she replied to Rebellion, equally short and deadpan. "Look, I fly a small freighter that's, due to some credit shortfalls, is in need of repair. Terran vehicles are not exactly in my skillset." Hazmat paced briefly, 'Plying tract, I just wanted to scoop up some tract for the handful of humans on CoVic, make a tidy bit of credits and try and install some engines on the Viherci that don't short out after just two cycles in hyperpsace...' she thought to herself. Stopping she turned to the Star Knight, "I'm willing to take the risk. Besides, he strikes me as the type unlikely to take 'no' for an answer."
  16. "You make a fantastic point," the floating girl said, spinning slowly to face towards the sound of voices further down the whale's gullet. "Granted, pretty sure somehow you'd come out the other end with goodies from a dozen sunken whaling ships." Taking the lead, Gauss grimaced, "Speaking of which, I don't think the school has enough hot water for me to shower off the gross from this little trip." "So, what exactly did you do to cheese Ahab off?"
  17. Just before the airborne teen could fire her freshly acquired 'internal combustion projectiles' at the remaining van, she saw a girl not much younger than herself charge through the crowd and before the oncoming vehicle. For a brief second she grimaced at the sounds of impact and the way the grill, bumper, and hood caved in around her before the van proceeded to plow over her. Catching a better view of her metal skin, Gauss could easily tell how her impromptu ally was covered entirely in magnetic metal, if not made of the stuff. Acting quickly, the magnetokinetic girl shifted plans. 'Not how I normally like to pick up girls but there's a first time for everything' By the time Tabitha was muttering to herself, Gauss had dropped the engines and suddenly she felt herself being pulled through the air, neatly avoiding being dragged further along the street. "Bravely done Citizen," she said with a smile, "The Human Tank himself would be proud of that. How do you feel about a second shot at that?"
  18. 1d20+7=11 So... I guess "speed bump" is scary accurate.
  19. Gauss: Belly of the Beast An Irish Goodbye
  20. Selena's head shook loosely for a second before her eyes began to flutter and she muttered softly in Spanish, <Mommy no more merry-go-rounds, the horsies are mean.> Shaking herself back to her senses she focused on Pan, "Okay, inside the whale. And I don't hear any crazy nor smug 'I told you so' so I guess Ahab is further along. Probably trying to stab his way out..." With an effort of will, she rose from her prone position on the "floor" that was the inside of the whale's gullet, kicking something vaguely saliva like off her shoe. "Okay, so what's the plan? Try and punch our way out the way we came in or go find Ahab?"
  21. Gauss muttered slightly to herself, "Every year somebody has to screw with the parade. This is, admittedly, bolder than most." Taking off from her perch she sized up the vehicles as the raced down the road. Raising her hands, purple light beginning to emanate from them and her left eye. In a blink of an eye, she had a lock on the engines of three of the vehicles. With an effort of will, she ripped the blocks out from under the hood, stopping the vans in seconds. "Crap, that last driver's good," she muttered as the van moved erratically, keeping her from getting a solid grip on the van. With another effort of will, Gauss began lining up the engines she did have in her mental grasp to throw at the last van.
  22. I'll throw Gauss in if you have no other takers.
  23. Apologies for the delay, didn't get the notification of the reply. 2 x 1d20+9 = 13 and 29 Bad news, one gets away. Good news, The Spectacle gets to play speed bump
  24. "You'd be surprised Sri B'Ka," the, currently, yellow alien said. Hazmat, having limited interactions with any Star Knights since her getting free of the Metamind, was unsure of their exact capabilities. After a moment she said, "Still, it isn't like we can ask around for witnesses. Now, my own tracking abilities are limited at best but if you can have your armor give you a rough estimation of size, I'd start with getting into the air and comparing that against what's in the street traffic." Turning to Rebellion she added, "Can you keep up with two beings with the ability to fly?"
