  1. Ill follow on from that last IC post but which direction is Sil headed?
  2. GM Jack Jackson was momentarily distracted. Steve DIamond's ship was casting off, and he was giving a jaunty wave to the crowds, and a kiss to the floozy on each arm. Like a machine, Jackson's camera started clicking. "Ladies and Gent's!" shouted out DIamond as a ship hand started unwinding the rope to the dock "Gotta fly! the ocean is calling and I don't want to be late for my appointment!" he gave a very smug smile and ducked down to the cabin. "Diablo!" came a spontaneous and too-loud curse from Diego Cruz, which caused Jackson to prick up his ears and scrutinise the man. Cruz ran after Subito. "My friend, I cannot wait any longer. He is mocking me! talking about his appointment! it is with more than the ocean! If you want to help, help now! I am getting on board, finding out where he is going!"
  3. Synth rushed up, her arms folding in to normal size and reabsorbing. Pulling herself up had been a bit of amusing exercise, she noted to herself. A few strides and she was by Starlight, the paramedics, and the (previously) injured woman. "You got here in time!" she said, congratulating Starlight with a pat on the back with one of her arms. It was a human gesture she had seen plenty of times and she quite liked copying it. "Well done! Perhaps we can get some answers now. It isn't safe yet! the assassin may be anywhere...or anyone!"
  4. GM "We are the voice of Gallu, foolish Mortal!" came the synchronised voices, with a touch of rage. As they spoke, this time, a pale, spectral red mist came from their mouths. Somehow, it seemed familiar, that crawl up Marceaux's spine he had felt at the edge of his consciousness when the plagues of Rats and Flies Gallu had sent before had spawned. "Over threethousand years ago, the amulet of bone and smelted metal was burned and forged. A gate to the souls of this world, for us to bind to. Our door. Lost, but now found. And now we wish to OPEN IT!" Ignoring the King of Suit's threats, the two stone figures, one holding a spear, the other a sword, both huge and granite, advanced towards their quarry. They were large, about 8 or 9 feet, and heavy, and something about them screamed of that blood-curling infusion of Gallu's power.
  5. Well I am not sure if they would fall for that, but I will give an HP as a GM Fiat and say they are immune to Intimidate. King of Suits - 4 Hero Points - Uninjured And an Initiative Roll please! Animated Statues 1d20+0=12 They are about 20 feet away. My on the Cuff Build for Demonically Infused Statues
  6. "Oh you aren't that old" replied Rene, a twinkle in his eye. Just well preserved" he added "and you never know, young Philip there might add a bit of a spring to your step?" He stroked his grey goatee. He wasn't exactly sure if the dead and the living should ever get together. But then, from what Revenant had told him about Nora, and from his discussions with Nick, he wasn't exactly sure Revenant was your classical undead. She was something new. Experimental... "In any case you have my number. If you need it. I am afraid I don't have the constitution for Alaska. Do wrap up warm, won't you?"
  7. "How large is this prison?" said Supercape, to himself, not quite aware he was talking aloud. "This cave? This city?...this continent?" This planet? he added to himself. From the sound of it, the Preservers were taking a rather utilitarian angle to their ethics here. If Exo-Threat whatever really was so dangerous, sacrificing a few...or even many...would be justify to save the planet (or the galaxy?) from a more dire threat. "What exactly are the scales we are talking about?" he added, more firmly, as a direct question to the chorus of voices.
  8. 1d20+10=13 for Supercape sorry for delay.
  9. GM "Stand firm! The Inquisition shall never be blinded from Truth!" retorted one of the men, shooting a crossbow bolt wildly. "We shall fight with every divine breath of our body!" retorted the other, swinging a particularly nasty looking club, all metal shod and spikes, this way and that. "The Inquisition aren't known for their capacity to acquiesce, my angel!" whispered Innocente in Young Brittania's ear. "Or indeed their sanity..." added Trowell, tapping the unconscious body of one of them. Tapping a little bit to hard for strictly investigative purposes. A tap that blended into a kick.
  10. "Aye aye Sir!" said Supercape, giving a salute despite himself. Something about the starship made him feel like a sailor. "I can certainly stay in contact if need be. Just a matter of quantum entanglement. Takes a bit of effort, so I can't keep in contact all the time if I need my mind somewhere else...and of course, Preserver technology can distort time and space locally. Well, if locally is the right word. It's all about nth dimensional parabolic probabilities..." He stopped himself. "Well, what I mean is, lets hope there is no interference!" he completed his monologue.
  11. Supercape dutifully pored over the various gossip, speculation, and occasional robust fact that peppered the internet. His search was punctuated by the occasional "pfft" and mutter of disgust at the more illogical and impossible conspiracy theories that seemed to grow and mushroom in cyberspace. "Here we are" he said, tearing off a printout. He liked the familiarity of paper, despite being versed in information technology. "A possible lead...SV industries. Couldn't do the real digging, but our Dr. Savong is the CEO of the company. And more importantly, the very same was sent to jail a few years ago - something about accidental death of a lab assistant..." "I don't really have the time or inclination to pore over some legal babble. Dusty and dry. Not when a young ladies life is a stake. Time to meet Starlight and pay a visit to SV industries!" He stood up, his costume glittering as it changed to his more elegant and huge cape. "To the Sentry statue! and then...SV Industries!"
  12. OK you have effectively won! 2 Dazzled Inquisition agents left! Technically they are fanatics so will fight to the end, but this can be left to narration as there is no meaningful chance of them actually hurting you (especially with your impervious). So feel free to respond with some KO or other narration. However, their fanatic nature will mean they wont actually surrender.
  13. Unfortunately, work and life has exploded with busy busy busy over the last week and shows no signs of slowing down this week. On top of that I still have a grumbling virus and am flopping into bed early evening exhausted with a headache. Yes, I am run down. Apologies, but my posting will be limited until I can grab some energy back. Hopefully I can recover a bit this weekend. SC.
  14. GM The poor man was knocked clean out by Catalyst's dead aim, and was mumbling incoherently about "Cheatin' Mexicans" and "Five Aces", his eyes quite askew, as he lay on the dusty road of the town square. A few stragglers had started peeking out of the debris and shot up buildings, some holding more primitive firearms. A few broke out into applause. Some started to attend to the wounded. The ruffian's gun looked like classic Earth Victoriana steam punk technology, only souped up. It was a little bigger, a little clunkier, and no doubt a lot louder. But one thing was different about it. It was automatic. An assault rifle in a world which used lever action rifles.
  15. "I think I'm getting the hang of this!" yelled Synth as the Van sped away, churning up Dirt and gravel as it sped off from the glued figures. "Who...or what where those things?" she continued, directing her question at Catalyst above her, through a wound down window "and have you stopped them?" Surprisingly, it was Shank who answered. "Its them that dissapeared" he replied, white as a sheet "and they weren't breathing when they got carted off, least not anyway's I could tell. Those men, they poisoned them, made em go stiff as a board, stopped breathing, probably stopped their heart stone cold too. What in Gods name did they do?" he yelled, scared and angry all at once. "He's got a point!" yelled Synth back at Catalyst. "What did they do? and what are we going to do about it?"
  16. GM Over the front and back edged of the Arc, a creaking sound was heard. As the King of Suits looked around, he could hear the stone grinding. One hand...then another...and another...then whole bodies appeared, dimly lit in the Moonlight. He couldn't quite make them out in the pale illumination. He could see the silhouettes, and then just make out their stony texture. The statues on the Arc's side had come to life! "We are the hands of Gallu!" whispered one, with a voice like the movements of the tectonic plates. "If you have no wish for the Amulet of Gallu, then we shall return it to one who does wish it!" By his feet, Frederick fell to his knees, gibbering in fear.
  17. Reflex ROlls 1d20+4=16, 1d20+4=24, 1d20+4=9, 1d20+4=19 So, DC 22/19/22/19 Toughness Saves 1d20+4=14, 1d20+4=11, 1d20+4=19, 1d20+4=7 All KO'd! Post away!
  18. Apologies for huge delay. If I can take 10: Then doing so for a 30 result. If not: 1d20+20=38 woohoo!
  19. THe boss - man and his associate are non-minions and are a minor threat. Everyone else, you can narrate a quick stealth KO or whatever yo wish.
  20. Synth reacted to the Robots threat quickly. Pouring her metabolic reserves into her stem cells, and pouring those same cells into her arms, which dutifully expanded and stretched. Sometimes, two isn't enough... she thought to herself. The donut company t-shirt ripped two holes in the side, and two more identical arms sprung out - embyonic at first, but growing to normal size and longer in a second. "Gnnahhh!" she grunted, over - reaching herself as her arms collided with each other and missed the robot. Need to practice that... she mentally noted.
  21. In anticipation: Move Action: Reset Variable Power Additional Limbs 2 (Extra: Duration) 4 Extra Arms! [4PP] Elongation 4 (50 Feet) [4PP] 2PP Left over. Standard Action: Grapple Attack on Robot: 1d20+10=15 I seriously doubt that hits, but if it does, by some miracle (is the robot flat footed?)... Grapple Roll (using all limbs for +2, and +4 for Elongation) 1d20+26=44
  22. Yeah unfortunately you are out of Hero Points Extra Effort, and you could stunt off your enhanced Strength for something like that, I would guess (A Strike 4, Cone Extra applied to Strike and Strength) - Total 14PP. How does that sound? Would mean a DC 17 Reflex Save and DC 22 / 19 Toughness Save.
  23. That would probably come under getting the takedown feat by spending a hero point? Then you could wallop one after the other providing you KO.
  24. Synth ran to the Elevator Shaft, and forced the doors open with her bare hands. All six of them. Four extra arms had grown out of her side, as her face resumed its normal proportions. Looking up the shaft she had a brief dizzying feeling, but braced herself with her limbs. With a moments concentration, she focussed her cells, multiplying them and multiplying them again. Her arms stretched and grew, spinning up the shaft right up to the top floor. It was two dark to see, but the hands soon found a hold, and with that, she flexed, pulling her entire body up the shaft as her arms contracted once more.
  25. Rearranging Variable Array: Elongation 6 (250 feet limbs!) 6 PP Additional Limbs 2 (4 Extra Arms, Continuous) 4 PP
