  1. GM "" He spat at the ground in disgust. "" He leaned in with a conspiratorial air, to Subito. "<Steve Diamond don't like questions being asked about his yacht!>" Meanwhile... "So you have been snoopin!" yelled Jack Jackson, doing a little trot with his feet and spinning on his heel. "I knew it! Here come's my scoop, baby, come to daddy!" he sang. "Girl, there is all kinds of dirt floating around here. This is celeb-central of the sea's! And so many celeb's passing backhanders to the port officials to turn a blind eye to their parties and whatnot's... all subtle of course. Saw the harbour master on Steve Diamond's yacht two nights ago, partying hard!"
  2. Gulp then round three and eleven zoos at the van... Of course you can delay till they are all within area effect although without selective that will also effect the van and you
  3. I just thought - that ability to shift kind of invalidates the flaw of attractive! May need some thinking about!
  4. Diego shifted from indifferent to friendly.
  5. Proactively rolling diplomacy: 1d20+5=24 Not counting attractive 2, which I doubt counts!
  6. Synth put on her friendliest smile as she approached the Roseus employee. Her scruffy clothes weren't going to help, she realised, the woman surely thought she was one of the campers outside. Which she had been. And still was. "Quickly, we need to search the premises - we think something entered here, a shapeshifter...possibly a murderer..." she explained, putting her hands quickly but gently on the receptionists desk. "If we don't act now, the thing may get away. Did you see anything? hear anything? It may have come through this way..." she pleaded.
  7. They have a defence of 0! EVen with a penalty for "walking" the fire, thats enough. Lets say this is North quadrant for simplicity. This round they wont be close enough for area attacks, the next round you can use area at -2 penalty, the final round all guns blazing (incidentally they are immune to fort saves, so careful with those Areas!) Anyway Round 1: Autofir hits all 3 Zobos: DC 20 Saves 1d20+6=21, 1d20+6=8, 1d20+6=22 2 Survive, one drops (for genre convenience, its a head shot!) Round 2!
  8. GM The next set of bolas wound their way in a perfect figure of eight around Fredericks arms and upper body. "No...NO!" he yelled, as he struggled on the floor like an insect in a web, tossing this way and that, his hands scrabbling for the amulet which was still on his body but beyond his grasp. "The power" he sobbed "you don't understand...all those years, of torment, turning the cheek to their laughs and mockery. I won't be denied, I wont be denied my revenge, not now! Not when I finally have the power to do so!" For all his words, he was only succeeding in biting his arms further into the bolo's. A cool, pale wind blew in from the hole in the Arc's wall.
  9. I'll go for the obscure stunt, it seems to make more sense. Using extra effort to become fatigued.
  10. Synth had never driven before... she hadn't had the time, or the money. But she knew how to, in principle. It seemed quite easy to her, steering wheel for steering, accelerator, breaks, gears... And her brain was good at picking that stuff up. And excellent at co-ordinating her body to do so. She ran through the operations in her head at speed, before grabbing the wheel firmly with two of her arms, and stepping firmly on the accelerator with another. "Lets go!" she said, with a trace of excitement. The Van lurched this way and that, trying to avoid the lumbering figures - who may have been ungainly, but were not, by any means, slow. "They are everywhere!" she yelled up to Catalyst. Every time she turned the Van, across rail tracks and between abandoned, broken down buildings, a few figures appeared in front of her. And whatever they were, she was not prepared to run them over.
  11. For Reference: Catalyst - 3 Hero Points Synth needs a drive Roll (and has Jack of all Trades and Dex 30!) 1d20+10=27 more than enough to position Catalyst suitably. Ok, I will call this 4 groups of Zobos approaching from four Quadrants, each with 3 Zobos in (12 total). With your improved range, you can fire three times without penalty before the Zobo's reach the Van. Take those rolls away. I appreciate this is somewhat fudged but best way I can think of doing it.
  12. GM "Ha ha ha!" laughed Frederick loudly, without any real confidence or Joy - just anger. "Now you see the invincible power I possess! I...and only I!" he shouted at the King of Suits "Look whose laughing now...hey...wha?" His laughter was interrupted by the bolas wrapping themselves round his legs, quite to his surprise. "What's this?" he mumbled, as he tried to walk and fell flat on his face. "Laugh at me tripping up would you! Revenge! REVENGE!" he spluttered, incandescent with rage. He let lose another blast of electrical force, hardly aimed at all this time, a mere expression of his anger, that struck the wall behind the King of Suits, shattering brick, concrete and steel, and punching a hole straight through to the night outside, illuminating Paris with lightning.
  13. To follow up he will foolishly blast again, at a -4 penalty due to Cover. 1d20+2=6 missing even the cover! Blast through concrete wall this time: 1d20+8=17 vs DC 28: Wall is holed! Round 3: 17 Kos - 3 Hero Points - Uninjured 6 JuD - Entangled
  14. Well that would normally be miss (just) but I am going to give you +2 on that as a situational bonus. Fred is not expecting it, has just come from the floor, and just not cool enough to avoid it. A hit. Similarly, I am giving that a +2 DC (or more accurately a -2 penalty to his reflex) for the same reasons. These are one off bonuses, he simply wasn't expecting bolas! His Reflex score: 1d20+2=15 so he is entangled.
  15. TT: Could I use a PP to stunt of his radiation Array? Something like Obscure 12 (Radio. Extras: Perception, Selective, Duration, Feats: Precise) PP 61? Or would some Nullify stunt cover it?
  16. GM "I dunno about that..." said Jack Jackson, rubbing his chin and giving Kristen a knowing eye. "I'm a snoop. And When you are a snoop, you get to be real good at spotting snooping. And my sixth sense tells me you are snooping, young lady. " He still whipped out his camera to click away at Kristen's little stunt. "I know you cape types, always snoopin'!" he added with a smile. Jack was not precisely malign, more persistent and irritating. Meanwhile A few yards away, Diego looked suspiciously at Jack. He made sure his back was turned and the photographer wasn't going to take any pictures of him. He addressed Subito out of the corner of his eye and the corner of his mouth. "What is the rat doing here? I don't want no pictures, I ain't going to the press..." he mumbled quietly, slightly tilting his head to indicate he thought Mr. Jackson was the rat in question.
  17. 1d20+7=17 Jack Jackson! Ace Reporter! PS: Jack is using the Reporter Archetype, with the addition of a Craft (Photography) Skill of +6 (+7), and Equipment: Masterwork Camera!
  18. GM Old Finnigan's Posse looked at each other, taken aback. Their leader put his hand to his moustache, and stroked it, letting his pistol loll in his other hand. "You got some mighty fine bravado coming here like that" conceded the man "you must be packing some heat of your own, if you thinking of taking on Finnigan. Some serious heat..." he mumbled, scanning the horizon. "Can't see them...yer mighty smart..." he said, putting his hand over his eyes to look more closely. "Guess you caught us nappin, today, boy, we won't make the same mistake again..." he added eyeing up Starlight and the two others. "What are you doing here, anyway? Don't give me none of that Sherrif in town bull, boy, you ain't wearing no badge, and we paid off all the law ages ago..."
  19. Ok, I will roll separately for leader and goons. Giving them +2 for superior numbers, and +2 for fancy guns and their belief in them! Goons: 1d20+4=18, 1d20+4=6 Not aided by Catalyst, but intimidated net result from Starlight. Leader: 1d20+6=13, 1d20+6=11 Aided and Intimidated!
  20. GM The house was hardly full. A couple of stooges loitered in a couple of rooms, drinking, chatting. They were heavies, for sure...packing heat, but something about them seemed a little more professoinal than street hoodlums. Ex-military, quite possibly. One man was half asleep at the small control room - barely the size of the desk that was propped up against the wall. He had a cold cup of coffee on the table and his eyes looked, trance like at the twenty off screens in front of him. He actually dropped off at one point altogether, jerking back to wakefulness before once again resuming a posture of hand on desk, head on hand, and eyelids drooping. The camara's showed a variety of rooms. In one, a man in an expensive dressing gown was having a debate with what looked like a Ginger-haired punk over some drinks. Another screen showed a basement, where a woman and a child (with telltale resemblance) were sitting dejectedly.
  21. Wow, of course That deserves an HP for being outrageously cool and entertaining!
  22. (GM) "Fool!" laughed Frederick as the fist stopped as it touched his body. Marceau felt like he had punched solid steel. "Did I not tell you I am invincible? Ha ha! You shall pay the price for daring to doubt me, Frederick the Fantastic! Yes! Now, witness my full power!" he said in a garbled half laugh. For all his bravado, his eyes shone with fear and doubt as he tenuously reached out... ...a blast of electricity, a rich purple in colour, spewed forth from his hand. Marceau could sense it pure unadulterated power, but Frederick could hardly contain it... It was wild and undirected, and came nowhere near him.
  23. The shambling figures moved slowly and reacted even slower. Catalyst had stopped them dead in their tracks. Completely bound, they stumbled and fell. "That's extraordinary" blurted Synth. "What is that, in your guns? I haven't ever seen anything like that before!" shank struggsled against Synth's grip but without any effect. He was sweating and looked scared out of his wits. "Keep still!" ordered Synth, increasing her grip on the man. "And look out, here comes more..." she said nudging Catalyst with a third arm. From out of the various abandonmed buildings, more figures started shuffling. They were far away still, but there numbers were growing.
  24. Jumped up Dabbler laughs at your attack! (Impervious 18 Toughness!) Jumped up Dabbler Blasts you back! 1d20+6=8 It has fail on it!
