  1. Rene nodded. He pretended to know what computer hacking was. He hardly knew what a computer was! "Oui, computer hacking..." he replied "..a very serious offence. Not subtle. No doubt she used an axe or something for ze hacking..." He coughed slightly into his hand. "In any case, I think Monsieur Cameron may have some of ze answers we need. I suggest we try and catch him at ze City Hall. Perhaps it has some handy plant-life nearby?" he queried, addressing Fleur.
  2. "Exo-threat 31572?" replied Supercape, to nobody in particular. "Are we talking about something alien to this world?" he pondered. That might make sense. Unless we are the Exothreat... the thought struck him. Are humans the threat? Not to mention the fact there are at least 31571 other Exo-Threats... "Good speech, Fleur" he said in a softer tone "lets hope they start giving us some answers...we are blind here!"
  3. "Let that be a lesson to you, Sir!" said Lord Steam standing above the Atlantean's feat. He twirled his cape, thrusting it under one arm, and dusted off his jacket. Turning and spying the two figures behind the luxurious couch he cocked an eyebrow. "So, the plot thickens!" he proclaimed. "Exactly what are you two doing here, eh? hiding? you could have lent a hand!" he said with a half-smile. Despite his outward appearance, this appeared suspicious. Something very peculiar was afoot - and he meant to drill down and get the truth!
  4. How high is the top floor? I am thinking of super long limbs!
  5. Synth turned to Starlight, wrinkling her grotesquely enlarged nose. "That sound's like a very plausible suggestion" she commented, agreeing with the receptionist. "And a very dangerous one, too!" She looked straight upwards, counting the floors. "We need to get up there, now! Quickly..." she looked back at the Receptionist "How many floors? And is there anyone up there with him, who might give him at least some protection?" Although, given the assassin could be anybody, a bodyguard might be more deadly by presence than by absence she thought to herself.
  6. GM "Satan, the angel of light!" screamed one, followed by echoes of agreement. "I cannot see! Lord grant me your eyes!" shouted one, firing off a crossbow bolt wildly, which thudded into the wall beside Young Brittania. Four of the Inquisition, faster than their unfortunate comrades, moved in, unfazed by the brilliance... their heavy robes being brought up against the illumination. "Child of Satan!" said one, fixed on Young Brittania "We see you and...INNOCENTE???" he gasped, spotting the cowering Bishop. "You shall pay!" he said, pointing an accusing finger at the poor man "Fornication, Treason... these would have been enough to seal your fate. But consorting with the devil...there shall be no mercy, Innocente! No mercy at all!" It had to be said, it seemed these six grim men were not big fans of mercy at the best of times. The knives were drawn and slid straight and true into the brilliant heroine, without leaving a scratch! "The Devil's Sorcery!" said one, startled "Lord! Give me your strength, give me your arm! Cut out her fiendish heart!"
  7. ok that will drop concealment. I'm not sure the door and position give full protection from your dazzle, but I will allow them a +5 circumstance reflex roll for it. 1d20+5=21 which they make (rolled for both) The Inquistion: 1d20+4=15, 1d20+4=14, 1d20+4=9, 1d20+4=11, 1d20+4=22, 1d20+4=14 2 Of them are dazzled. Round 2: 16 Inquisition - 2 Dazzled 11 Revenant - Unharmed - 1 Hero Point The four non-dazzled Inquisition are going to Move to you, at start beating up on you with Knives. This is lethal damage! 1d20+6=23, 1d20+6=22, 1d20+6=24, 1d20+6=15 Nothing critical, anyway, but all of them hit! However, your Impervious 7 Ability makes you immune to them all!
  8. "They can sing till they are blue in the face...or maybe green!" retorted Lord Steam. "It does not make it so! You, sir, are a plebian, a ruffian and a bully, whatever your title!" He sniffed and held his head up high. "Hardly fitting an ambassador!" he added, before raising his cane up with both hands, and with all his weight bringing it crashing down on the Atlantean's cranium. "Let this be a lesson to you! Hubris leads to downfalls!"
  9. Well lets go the same as before then... Move Action: Feint (at -5) 1d20+10=13 is unlikely to work. STandard Action: Full Power Attack: -5 ATtack, +5 Defence 1d20+6=24 Another lucky roll. DC 25 Toughness!
  10. Thats good for me. As per chat: Starlight 3 HP Fatigued Waiting for Catalyst to shoot. Roo: With Catalysts Extended range feat, and taking 10, this should go without a hitch unless minion makes a lucky save - I don't know which power you are using to hit (Snare?) I'll make a generic Roll: 1d20=8 which means even with the appropriate Reflex / Fort save, you do the business (DC 15) fully bound for a snare, or dazed for stun (either will be fine in this case for Starlight to stunt that teleport trick). Will let you both post IC.
  11. GM "Demon?" blurted Frederick "What Demon?" he looked innocent, then scared. "There's a demon?" he said, blinking. "Give me back the Invincible Amulet of Invincibility! Give it to me now! I need it!" he started looking around, scared to the core. The moonlight on the top of the Arc was brighter and more ethereal than the King of Suits remembered. The faint sound of sirens permeated the air - response cars to the blasted hole in the national monument. "Yes...use it...." came the whispered groan, from nowhere and everywhere at once. Out of the corner of his eyes, Frederick could, for an instant, see the ghostly visage of a huge bull, painted in pale moonlight. Then it was gone. A creaking sound came from below - not inside the Arc, but outside it...
  12. Probably needs a slight edit, and also, your action! Round 2! 16 - Revenant - Unharmed - 3 HP 11 - Goons (1 feeling, 5 Regular Unharmed, 2 Flamethrowers Unharmed) As for your action, I presume you are taking 10 to punch (one of the flamethrower guys?) which means a DC 26 Toughness Roll. The Flame Thrower Guys are in fully armoured Riot Gear (Equipment +4 Protection) so have +6 to Toughness Roll. He might just make it! 1d20+6=16 But doesn't!
  13. (GM) "I'm not saying nothing to nobody!" retorted Jack Jackson. "Especially since Steve Diamond has an army of lawyers ready to pounce at even the whiff of trouble. As far as the press is concerned, Mr. Diamon is a cleas as a whistle!" He said the last bit a tad louder than was strictly necessary, and gave a little glance around him to check people had heard. "I have heard his bouncers are a little free and easy with the pugilistic side of thinks" he added, in a hushed tone. "especially is anyone goes snooping or asking questions..." he said, even more quietly. He looked around once more. "alledgedly." he added for good measure.
  14. Yeah ZObos are just shambling to Van... go post for your 3 rounds of gunmanship!
  15. 1d20+10=25 for Synth, For Info, how far away is said Robot?
  16. Two flamethrowers! Repeat above, :)
  17. (GM) "I don't know" replied Diego, a fleck of frustration in his voice. "the real stuff, that's not done on any yacht. It's out too sea, some much bigger ship. But then they take you into a yacht, move you inland, at least, they move anyone who survives inland. Perhaps for more tests, I don't know. But most, they are lost at sea, or still out there...." He gazed at the horizon, where sea met sky. "but the yacht that transfers from out there to here, well maybe, just maybe, that is Mr. diamond's. Can't say for sure, but you know the rumours of how he has mob contacts. And he is real private about his yacht..."
  18. (GM) "Heck, who do you think I am?" he replied "the King of Suits' secret identity? Uh huh, girlfriend, Jack Jackson is just Jack Jackson, i'm just trying to make an honest living!" he replied, slightly affronted. "Well, a living..." he corrected himself. "I'm no crime fighter, or cape. I just scoop up the mess afterwards and sell it. Give the readers what they like to read! Danger's not on the menu. and snooping around Diamonds Yacht, that's asking for a knuckle sandwich, if you are lucky!"
  19. Combat over so moot. Technically, a hard-to-lose advice wont be removable as a free action as far as I can see, but go ahead and do those things as Frederick is basically done for.
  20. Which none of them can possibly make! Post away!
  21. Take it away for round 3 then, if you delay till they are all by the Van, you can catch all eleven of them!"
  22. GM The tall man studied Catalyst's guns for a second or two. He seemed to know a thing or two about pistols, and it was clear he hadn't ever seen anything like that before. "What in sweet Samuel's name are those, lady?" he asked in amazement. "More of Chun-Su's little toys? the oriental devil!" he barked, with interest and disgust. He considered his position again. Some of the boy's had itchy trigger fingers - no doubt pumped up by their little play with the guns. But the tall man was wiser than his thugs. "Come on boys, lets find another shootin' range!" he said, firing his pistol into the air, and turning his horse.
