  1. Puma kept quiet, watching like a hawk from a far to field mice. There was almost a slight glow to her eyes in the dark, surely just like that of a cat in some way or form. Rot would have likely seen it, glowing faintly in the light, like a natural warning towards evil doers in the darkness... or just a weird oddity that seemed rather cute at times when it wasn't being used to stalk teenagers roughly their age. the only thing that she was really focusing on now was the strange device that was between them all. The young heroine would look to Rot with a confused look, very obviously thinking it over what the two of them were looking at. Some form of gyroscope, that's what she'd tell Rot. "Not sure.... a gyroscope, something to keep things stable. Not sure why here though, what makes it important?" she says quizzically as she continues to watch from there concealed spot. She'd watch the scaffolding fall, ready to move in if the three got hurt, but instead continued to wait. A loud noise like that would likely draw a guard in or two.
  2. Carmen looked towards him holding out the contact information like it was a trophy to be had, or what she really felt like it was, a child showing off to the rest of his class his show and tell item rather proudly. She'd furrow a brow at him and then towards the piece of paper. It would not be the only quasi-business card he would get either, following him around to in what felt more like an exotic hangar on. Carmen had never thought of resumes, or college even as a Junior, but following Michael made her feel like maybe she should start at the least but not now. Puma and Carmen, of whom she treated one in the same with herself, thought of the job she had with Patriot, thinking it her only potential future until this point.
  3. All goodz I'm gonna post soon and then take my break for a day or two
  4. Carmen Carmen smiled, or at the least attempted to smile while standing next to Golden Star as he picked out whom their targets would be. Now, standing before them, Carmen partially regretted it as it turned into a sort of fan meet and greet between him and Geckoman. What she thought would be a tactical strike turned into some sort of weird meeting as she stared off into the distance, seeing the food table but not wanting to go out alone. So close but also so out of reach. Push to come to shove, she didn't actually no whom Geckoman was to begin with, just smiling politely as social awkwardness struck again.
  5. Carmen took a little bit of time to think about this. A little bit was only a few seconds as she moved over towards Golden, staying in tow with him now with a smirk on her face. This could actually start getting to be fun as cat like mischievousness started to appear as she looked towards Golden, "Well, I'm feeling a bit wild tonight. How about you surprise me. I'm sure whomever you pick will be fun," she says, still smirking towards him. Rot would be on her own for the time being now.
  6. "Bull****!" Carmen cursed as she spoke, "There's no way he can just be dead like that. What's behind that door?" Puma looked over towards the thick steel door, pouncing forward towards it before starting to slash at it. She wasn't exactly sure how much damage something like this could do to it, but it was worth a try. Spaceman, that blonde idiot couldn't be dead. It had to be some sort of ruse, a false truth for a false reality. He had to still be here, listening, smelling, doing everything to get sense of where he was now since traveling through the door. As much as she wanted to shout at Quirk to give him back, she had to play along. Play up the ruse. There was no trusting anything besides the people she knew for a fact where there with her. "Open up!"
  7. Carmen dug her hands into the pockets of her jacket as she stood next to Rot while they all got out of the car. Unlike many others that had to endure Rot's localized field of power, thanks to a small bracelet that she had been given, or as Consuelo called it, a friendship bracelet. Carmen wasn't sure if they were actually friends however, seemingly just folk that got along for the time people as friends would not be what she called it herself. However, things were kept entirely cordial between them both. "They have free food, and I don't want to stay in my dorm all break, alright," Carmen would respond to Consuelo. The literal catgirl would sigh, relaxing her body as she decided that she might as well enjoy the party, even if it wasn't really her thing at all. A familiar scent came by towards them before Rot could move away. Golden Star, another young hero from Claremont and one that was with her a few weeks back dealing with Quirk. Carmen would look him up and down, furrowing her brow at his colorful attire. He didn't look that bad, taking her hands out of her jacket pockets and sort of allowing herself as she was not trying to do. Whatever his plan was, Carmen was at least a little bit interested in it as she put a hand to her hip. There was a smile cracking as it seemed Goldenstar had a knack for conversation, or the idea of raiding and taking territory, "You can count me in," she spoke with a sly voice. Carmen would give a nod to greet Stormcrow.
  8. Carmen didn't know how she had been roped into this whole Christmas party, but if she had been able to get an invitation through some means it meant that maybe someone was watching over her shoulder. Though, she also thought that more likely it was just an extra invitation. Still, she'd accept the gift from the so-called Multi Girl and travel in the car with the rest of the gaggle of students from Claremont that came with their own ticket. Carmen was out of her typical uniform, opting for a dressier look, a blue attire that ran down to her knees. The only thing that she seemed to retain however was the varsity jacket, made in the schools blue and yellow colors. Even if she had fur along her body, she liked the warmth of the attire regardless. It was comfortable. There wasn't much to say, keeping to her loner self for the time being as they got out of the car, stretching out after being stuck in for a bit inside the cramp and car. Carmen much rather preferred this sort of freedom, arching back and following the rest of their group.
  9. La Puma Negra Puma was now utterly confused but didn't try to show it. This was a new reality, a false one. Whatever she was right now was even suspect. An entire history rewritten on the whim of a false god. One that had the power of your average mediocre fiction writer, letting will to his machinations to do as he pleased. They were trapped here and would be made to play along the best that they possibly could. "Communion bunker? I could sneak in?" she says. Lady Liberty wasn't a hero that she knew, feeling that maybe this was some sort of Civil War situation.
  10. Soon enough, the time was for them to go, that time being now as she was loaded up into the craft, a literal flying saucer. Of course, it didn't look anything like the cartoons or movies did, but, one could dream as she reclined back, fastening her seatbelts as she waited for her first space flight. There was a hope that it'd be more spacious, but it seemed to have the feel of a small compact hatchback car if anything else, looking over Ashley's shoulder before looking outside towards Judy and the baby, Phil. Carmen would tap on the interface for music looking through the online repository and local radio signals before turning it off. Carmen wasn't much in a musical mood, more a take a nap while in the back seat of a car mood. " I feel fine, probably take a nap if that's okay," she says, looking back towards Ashley. There was a bit hesitation, frazzled nerves.
  11. Puma, acted as the leader in this little sortie would watch patiently from her shadowy position, waiting for a moment to act. Not like she was going to attacked them, more like scare them a bit, she sort of liked doing that sort of thing. It almost came naturally scaring people with her more feral were cat like looks, if it wasn't her own fellow students, it would be criminals or other ne'er-do-wells that stalked around the city. It turned out, she was the one stalking them. "What's that?" she'd whisper to Rot.
  12. Notice Roll getting a 33 for what that top is they are looking at.
  13. La Puma Negra- 8 The Competition- 4 Night Shift- 3 Moving In: Girls- 1
  14. La Puma Negra "Play along," Carmen spoke back in response. Her teeth were gritted, as if she was holding back an actual growl. The only people that she could likely trust in this were the students like her that were taken in a split second. Patriot, her mentor and someone whom she could deeply trust stood right in front of her and yet held herself back from trusting her. Nothing was certain here, a world of fake and real, dragged from both space and time. Once this was over, she'd assume that they'd go right back to when they were taken, as if nothing had happened to them at all. A strange pocket that boggled her mind as experienced it once more. Puma would rush up forward, standing at partial attention her typical feral like crouch, "What's going on?" she spoke, treating this as if it was all natural. Whatever was going on, she wasn't rather sure, seeing if she saw anything distinct behind her and of these armed individuals.
  15. Carmen then holds herself. How old were these people, taking a few moments to look them over before seeing how young they were, just punks likely barely out of high school that weren't likely just looking for a good time and less a way of stealing or doing whatever else. The young heroine would have to wait, keeping low and quiet as she stalked them through at a distance, using whatever sort of nooks and crannies that were there all the while guiding Rot through. This was a different sort of Carmen, as if there was a switch that made her far more relaxed almost. Odd, considering they were essentially looking for a fight. "Young, our age. We can keep an eye on them, give them a good scare ya know," Puma says, knowing a bit better when and when not to engage now after having had time with the older hero Patriot. Mentor ship might have finally begun to pay off.
  16. La Puma Negra Carmen rolled her eyes at Baz's musings. In truth, it could be anything with Quirk, near infinite based upon his mad designs that could easily get them all killed if he willed it. For her he wasn't some omnipotent god but some sort of demon. A monster that willed itself to appear in a human guise that preyed upon those that attempted to do good in this world. Carmen wouldn't let such a being get away with it, only stopping herself knowing that she had to stay with her compatriots. For him to just pluck them out from the school, still wearing her blue and yellow uniform that was made for her, made her feel even more unsafe than when she was with Patriot months ago when she first encountered him. "He's some sort of reality warper, I think. Multiversal or whatever the class called it. He can do almost anything he wants. Whatever he wills," she says, growling almost as she ignores most of what he said, keeping her wits about in a serious way, "Be ready."
  17. La Puma Negra Carmen was sitting on the ground, stretching her limber body out while she was across from her partner for the combat training. Golden Star as another new sort of young hero that had joined the school. The young woman wasn't sure why he was called that, told that his powers dealt with overheating, thinking it would be closer to something fire based or heat. Less so interstellar sounding as she split her legs out. It was so sudden that they were teleported that she barely had any time to think, only getting that familiar feeling as soon they were not at Claremont anymore but a place that assaulted her nose with the distinct smell of dust and blood through her super senses. "¡Oh Dios, no este demonio!" she says, getting up quickly and getting into a readied stance. Her last encounter with Quirk had been fairly dangerous, expecting some sort of sick and twisted game that he was subjecting on her fellow students as her claws glistened in the light, nice and sharp.
  18. "Puma Negra is all you need to say," she says in response to her, "It's a title however, so La Puma Negra is for if you want to be more formal, but we aren't doing that." Puma would use the darkness and the element of surprise to creep towards the building, leaping from building to building until she was on the roof of the building that the likely crooks were robbing. Of course, one of the few occupied warehouses, old and decaying and left practically unguarded as she went to see if there was any way to keep an eye on them without raising any sort of suspicion. Her hand and tail would motion the less experienced Rot to follow her, cat like eyes watching and piercing the darkness. "We want to surround them, keep them disoriented and strike fast," she says while crouched low.
  19. Carmen would give her a look as they moved together, slowing down just a bit as they got closer into to town. Soon, farm field and forest gave way to a steady stream of road activity. More homes and shops on the side of the street and limited small suburbs as they reached the area around Freedom City known as Southside. Home to one the city's colleges, its economic state had fluctuated going into the 2000s, none of which Carmen seemed to know about or cared at this time as she herself was simply a transplant. In fact, she had only lived here roughly a year and change. This being her Junior year at Claremont and already a rather busy one to say the least. It was clear that at this point that the relationship between her and Consuelo wasn't there yet to a more comfortable one, finishing her drink before chucking it over towards an open garbage bin. They were in the city now, able to abuse her abilities to the fullest as she began to clamber around through several of the buildings, leaping from one to the other with a feline grace that was almost supernatural it felt as her black fur melted in with the night and shadow. If it wasn't what light there was and Carmen's jacket that Consuelo was able to likely see her. "You see em too?" Carmen says as she crouches down, warehouses, several abandoned as they stood low on a roof. Men were there, obviously with ill intent as they hid crowbars and likely. hiding much more, "We have to wait until they do something, otherwise it will be a mess. All we can do is wait. You go by Rot right? From now on we go by the hero names, understand?" she spoke with some experience.
  20. Carmen didn't seem to get the joke at all, just staring at her. Rot would understand that La Puma Negra had a reputation as a sort of loner, and for that, she had been able to get away with being the few non-Senior students to get away with having her own room. No others having that sort of freedom. Counselors had spoken to her about it but decided it was more for the best due to her more aggressive nature. Rot may have had her own sort of aura, but the young cat woman had her own sort of aura about her as she went back to reading her magazine, picking it up from the coffee table once more. In the present time, Carmen was out now leading them both through a discrete way over the perimeter fence. It honestly wasn't that hard to do so, and few patrolled the grounds this late at night as Puma jumped over the fence with an ease and grace, treating it like it was nothing as she stood on the other side of the fence, watching her fly over, a trivial task it was for both of them. It would then be an hour's time trip into Southside, the very outskirts of Freedom City. The rain was dulling her senses a bit as well, reducing the sense of smell and hearing but not her keen eyesight. In that time, Carmen didn't speak too much, only doing so to ask if she wanted to get anything from a gas station that was along the road, used to the strange students of Claremont coming in at odd hours. "You know... there's this cool place called Eclipse. A club if you want to go?" she says, eventually coming out with a sugary beverage. Carmen seemed more relaxed now, taking a swig of her drink before continuing to walk down the side of the road, of course with Consuelo in tow, "Maybe after we beat on some losers?"
  21. Carmen would nod her head in agreement. At the least, the young woman or well, cat creature, was fully up for others to talk about faith and all, especially outside of the church in Southside. However, even then it made her feel rather homesick at times not being back in Puerto Rico as she finished off her drink. Carmen was utterly stuffed, having gotten her fill of pizza to eat. Free pizza was after all the best, next to pizza itself. "I'm going. Nothing we haven't been able to handle before. We'll just kick their ass just like last time," Carmen says enthusiastically as she sits back. If it wasn't for the cool weather and more overcast day, the natural inclination to lie in the sun just like a cat was there. Of course, that would be dumb. She wasn't a cat, just a cat like girl. Then again, that line was already tested at times as she stood up with a long stretch, "When do we go?"
