  1. @Sailor Feeding Frenzy and Torpedo Lass taking on some Pirates! I need some initiative right off the bat! Feeding Frenzy: Initiative: 1d20 12 Bad guys: Initiative: 1d20+2 10 theres two speedboats with four pirates in each boat theres three thugs behind the truck on the dock.
  2. GM Waterfront July 10th, 2017 9:30 PM The sound of automatic weapon fire had driven most people away from the docks. It was one of those noises that the people of Freedom heard from time to time. But the circumstances of this fight seemed a little different. It seemed fairly unclear how the ordeal had started but the news report was showing two sets of people with automatic weapons. One set was in a pair of speedboats firing on another set of thugs on a dock. They had taken cover behind a large pick up truck they had apparently arrived in. The fighting had been going on for almost a minute and SWAT was on their way. However it seemed that there would be heroes who would arrive at this before they would. And in fact two were already in the water.
  3. Hyperactive watched Miracle Girl slam the two guards together and then felt Queenie rush past him. He sighed internally. He was fast, but from time to time he was reminded that he wasn't always the quickest. More training at some point. In an instant Hyperactive shot forward and kicked a guard. "Well then, go ahead try and shoot me." He smirked as he looked at the rest of the guards. He had a feeling, with everyone else here he probably wouldn't get to hit very many bad guys. But hey, there was probably a mad scientist around? Well maybe he'd get to tousle with that.
  4. Well here Hyperactive will run in and try to get involved in a cluster of them. Going to just take 10 on an attack, total of 20. So they need to make a D.C. 25 toughness Save
  5. So! I just got Feeding Frenzy Approved, he's an atlantean wereshark who will be a Sophomore at Claremont in the fall! If y'all want a sneaky shark let me know! i do also have a plan for a thread with him that would be great to have maybe one or two heroes stopping drug dealers and pirates! So if you want to be a part of that just let me know!
  6. There we go AA! Made the duration on that container continuous. Is that alright?
  7. Hyperactive blitzed forward and sent a hail of fists at the man. He was blind with fury. He didn't usually get mad in a fight. But right now? He was furious. He hated it when someone got in his head and even more so when someone literally messed with his head. "Don't think I'm gonna let you get away with that!" He came again and again with a flurry of kicks blind with rage.
  8. I would say Spitfire is the better fit, with both Hyperactive and Chrome it would be better to have someone even a little older.
  9. I made those changes! made it so that the skills totaled 60 fixed the total on saves alphabetized feats and skills added speeds and heavy Loads
  10. GM "No I'd be more worried about her clothes flying off." Hyperactive snarked. "That's what happened when we used to run." "That's because he would always pull my buttons at super speed. Do you do that to your new Hussy? Then again it's a lot harder in Power armor ain't it?" Vagabond said taking Breakneck by the arm never turning and looking at Hyperactive. "You should sweep me off my feet it will make him very jealous." She remarked. Hyperactive stood for the briefest of moments. He locked his faceshield in place. "I'll meet all y'all there." And he headed off to the warehouse.
  11. "Chapter Zero. Great." Hyperactive frowned. Super terrorists who hated, as far as he could remember, everything. And it was a telepath. Which made this whole thing a thousand times worse. "Lets go, we can call it a win if we can beat them back without them taking the president. That's silver though." They had to stop the bad guys from getting to the president, especially the telepath. "Let's go for gold." Hyperactive said as he locked his face shield in place. The world slowed and he felt a grin spread across his face. He got to fight a (more or less intelligent, it was using a rocket pack) gorilla, he was pretty sure that was a Speedster rite of passage. "I'm moving, lets go." Hyperactive declared as he went forward to disable the jet pack on the gorilla. He was a blur of motion as he made one pass, two passes, three passes, and then reached out to fiddle with the pack. "Well ok Mr. King Kong wannabe, attacking any plane is not cool round these parts. But this specific plane? Well I will give you one chance to surrender." He taunted as he rushed around and around the ape staying well out of reach.
  12. Attack the Director: 1d20+10 12 of course when it's helpful I roll low... well now there's two of us.
  13. Raveled: So this group won't have the jurisdiction to investigate. They will fight open crime, but if they have leads it will probably get handed off to AEGIS. I also do not imagine they will turn help away from other groups like AEGIS or the Freedom League. But yeah the Dream team will mainly be responsible for dealing with natural disasters and Open Super crime. And Yeah EP! Queenie and Waveridder are great.
  14. "Look I'm not sure where we are." Hyperactive slowed down. He wasn't sure if this was stable, or how far it went. But he could talk to this guy. "But you don't have to be a slave in your own mind. We can figure this out without violence. Without him." Now he just had to figure out what the heck was going on. He could do that right? Right?
  15. GM "Awe Streaky I remember when you were cute like this!" Vagabond said with a smile beneath her cowl. "Why are you here?" Hyperactive asked the other hero. "Orion gave me an order. He didn't want you to get in over your head emotionally." Vagabond replied. "I've tracked her to an abandoned factory. No hostages as far as I can tell. Not her style. I dunno what she's doin' but we can put 'Er down 'fore she gets anyone else." Vagabond drawled out as she looked over the rest of the group. "Anyone wanna give me a ride?"
  16. Disable device: 1d20+12 13 Gonna go ahead and utilize a hero point on that one... Disable Device reroll: 1d20+12 27 Trying to disable that jet pack on the gorilla, and then standing well out of reach of him! Gonna wait to post that in ic in case the baddies move before me.
  17. Hyperactive was on top of the other hero in a flash. Two quick round house kicks hit the other hero in the chest with a resounding thud before Hyperactive leapt up and drop kicked him. As he landed on the ground it knocked the wind out of him for a speedster moment. "Hey Director." Hyperactive rolled back on his hands and then sprung to his feet. "Hope you enjoyed watching in third person. Cause it's about to get first personal." Hyperactive snarled, without his usual charm. If there was one thing he hated it was mind Control.
  18. "Hyperactive the Windy City Warrior and Superluminal Speedster." Hyperactive told the other hero. Hyperactive kicked his brain up to max speed. Ok so what were they dealing with? A dragon? A gorilla? A wizard? And... a psychic... nope. He was not going to get into another mind control situation. Two with jet packs, well it would be best to keep those two from running. "Well if we can disable the jet packs we can keep those two on the ground." Hyperactive pointed at the gorilla and the dragon. "I've got the gorilla's pack. Speedster vs Super Gorilla, actually one of my favorite movies." He paused. "Any other suggestions?"
  19. Feeding Frenzy Power Level: 10 (150/151) Unspent Power Points: 1 Trade offs: -3 defense/+3 toughness, melee -5 attack/+5 damage In Brief: Atlantean wereshark struggling to be a hero and not an animal. Catchphrase: Chow time Theme: Jaws Theme/monster by Skillet Alternate Identity: Koa Halelani (public) Birthplace: Pacific Ocean Residence: Claremont Base of Operations: Claremont Occupation: Student Affiliations: Claremont Family: Mother, Celeste Halelani Description: Age: 16 (DoB: 2000, September 15) Apparent Age: 16 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Atlantean Height: 5'9" Weight: 125 lbs Eyes: silver Hair: black Koa is a dark skinned very skinny boy. He's thin and on the shorter side. He hates wearing shirts and prefers to go around bare chested. If he has to wear a shirt he tries to leave as many buttons open as he can. His entire upper body is covered in black and red Polynesian style tattoos. He usually wears either cargo shorts, jean shorts, or swim shorts. He has webbing between his fingers and toes which forces him to wear zori sandals or go barefoot. His mouth has a few rows of sharpened teeth. When he's doing hero work he wears a pair of red goggles and a tight red swim cap. He also wears a pair of red and black swimming shorts. He also has a small utility belt with meat sticks in it. As a wereshark, Feeding Frenzy is a massive creature. He hunches over and still stands at seven feet tall. His fin sprouts from his back between his shoulder blades. Back between his legs is a large crescent shaped tail. His tattoos are all expanded over his tough black flesh. His face is totally unrecognizable, it's a massive shark head with rows and rows of teeth. His silver eyes are still present. History: As a boy, Koa remembered waiting for his father to come home. His father was a soldier. He fought for the kingdom of Atlantis and would often be gone for long stretches of time. However, he knew his father wasn't a normal soldier. He knew this because he wasn't a normal Atlantean boy. He and his father had the same set of abilities. From the time he could swim on his own Koa found himself very different from those outside his clan. His voracious appetite was the first thing. He could consume his entire body weight in a single sitting. But nothing set him off like blood. Any kind of blood even miles away beneath the waves made him fly into a rage. His father was one of the few people who could hold him back. For good reason, when they smelled blood they both would face that same fury. That same hunger. Koa's father trained him to resist the blood frenzy. When he turned twelve he began to find that his fury was matched with a change in his physical body (which, adding to puberty? Really really sucked.) his body became a slender shark with arms and legs. Atlantean Military training from his father made that more and more muscular. Koa would have wanted to continue to train under his father. But then Atlantis went to war. His father was part of the invasion force in Freedom City. He never came home. His mother couldn't train her son, and was afraid of what he might do if he lost control. So she pulled strings with her husband's military and government friends. Koa arrived at Claremont to learn to be a hero. He resented the deep ones for taking his father from him. On the other hand everyone looked at him with trepidation, he looked and fought like the invaders. So he decided to do one thing. Prove them wrong. He decided to be a hero. Not just a hero, the best hero. His way, his terms, but Koa would be undeniably heroic. Through and through. He wanted to show them that he was up to snuff. Personality & Motivation: Koa's farther was a hero. He raised his son to want to do right for the world. Koa wants to do right for his home nation. At Claremont he is trying to learn to become the man his father wanted him to be. He fights to prove the Atlantean aren't all terrible, and because he wants to prove that for himself. Powers & Tactics: Most people can't tell tell that Koa is a wereshark. This allows him to go around incognito or get a lot closer than he could as a humanoid shark. Usually Koa prefers to drop in and snatch people out of the way and into the dark. When forced to fight openly he prefers to grab enemies and grapple them. He is a grappler first and foremost in his Frenzy form. He batters away smaller enemies he can and bites those he can't just smack away. When he does fight outright Koa fights like a pro wrestler (cause that's what he thinks Surface heroes are.) shouting out the names of attacks and striking poses. He secretly loves this even if he knows it isn't his strength. Power Descriptions: Most of Koa's regular strength comes from Atlantean physiology. He's tougher, faster, and stronger than a normal human. He has gills in his neck and webbed hands. In his wereshark form his magic lends him his tremendous strength. He tends to opt for a crushing bite down on targets, due to years of training he doesn't devour enemies, but they will be left with pretty nasty wounds. Complications: Am I a monster?: At a very basic level turning into a terrifying shark on legs is enough to make people run screaming. In addition, most weresharks are ruthless and frenzied flesh eating berserkers. This means most Atlanteans, even those who appreciate his potential military uses, usually give him a wide berth. On another level, people still remember the Atlantean invasions. It's hard to wake up every morning trying to be someone who no matter what face you have is a scary one. Blood lust: When seized by the Frenzy Koa can't turn back until he has eaten flesh. He also can't control how much of a thing he eats when he starts there's no stopping until it is gone. Usually his keen senses can find something so that he can turn back, but if he can't the hunger will grow and grow. The longer and more times he transforms the more he needs to eat to grow back. Hunger of the Shark: Koa is a voracious eater, consuming triple his weight on a daily basis. In addition, he cannot turn back from his wereshark form unless he can eat meat. Needs water: Koa needs to spend at least fifteen minutes a day fully immersed in Salt water or he begins to become very sick. My Country Right or Wrong: Koa's father, was part of the invasion and Koa saw the videos of atrocities and even war crimes committed by his fellows, but he still stands by his people. A hero point should be awarded for forcing him to go against the nation of Atlantis. 20. Ok so if you've seen "now you see me" the magicians are the good guys. But it might be interesting to have a thief who uses stage magic (sleight of hand and maybe some kind of suggestions), master plan, and maybe some gadgets to pull off seemingly magical feats.
