  1. GM "I'm right behind you Breakneck, Stalwart you and Pacer hit the woman." As Pacer bolted straight for the door and then went in a window she was surprised. There was a nearly invisible gas just behind the windows. And it was COLD. Pacer felt her body stiffen, and even worse, she felt it slow. The two older exes didn't even react, but Lurlene did. She slammed a syringe into her leg. "Yer early." She snarled. "Wudn' 'spectin' ya yet. Can' kill ya neither. Yet." She flipped her weapon to stun and aimed it at Pacer. Or well seemingly where Pacer had just been.
  2. Up to you! As a note, from what everyone has seen on TV there's only one set of doors to where the hostages are in the chappel, but there's about a dozen big stained glass windows.
  3. GM Cain had the sense to keep his head down until the pink had left. "The Rel want them. And the Rel gets what the Rel wants." Scowled the agitated hunter. "If I don't get these to my contact I get wiped from existence. You won't get your bounty, monkey." Snarled Cain at Gear. Gear for his part just watched quietly. "The Rel are time traveling gangsters." He used a tail to sip his ale. "Just as callous and brutal as the Carnivore believes."
  4. Ok so I'll do an ic post, but here's what you know: one of the predominantly third hive neighborhoods has, as far as you know, always been a place of less than legal activity. If you want something sold outside of the eyes of the law, because Lor officers tend to get treated poorly and maybe even roughed up. You have heard of the Rel, they have a reputation for being criminal boogiemen. They work via proxy and failing them gets you "wiped" from time. You have heard that if you show up in that neighborhood looking for the Rel, they tend to find you. the Rel also don't tend to care about what happens after they finish their portion of a job. Breeding seems like something, from rumor, they would leave to others.
  5. Ok... so the answer is you can Try. It's gonna be slightly more complicated than that. If you want to do that I'll need a fortitude save.
  6. PC As the bolts of energy raced in towards him Hyperactive did exactly what he needed to do. He lunged forward, pushing down the police captain, sending him to the ground and out of the way of the bolt of plasma racing towards him. That bolt struck Hyperactive. Hyperactive rolled with the heavy thud in his chest even as he went tumbling across the ground. Yeah that thing was set to stun. It also had glanced mostly off him. He let himself roll a bit before popping to his feet and getting back into cover with the rest of the heroes. "Well, we have speed and numbers. We can each pair up on one of the less lethal ones and go for... Lurlene right after that." Hyperactive smiled locking his face shield in place. "Turn four on three into two on two and then four on one."
  7. What to do, what to do? He could show up empty handed. Which would probably be plenty of trouble. He could try waking these guys and asking questions. Might be better. With that he raced off and returned with a bucket and water procured from the nearby pacific. He looked over all three of the thuggish actors, ignoring the kinetic drained one, and chose the one who seemed most likely to rouse from his stupor. Hyperactive then proceeded to dump the water on him. As the man spluttered Tyson made sure he was on his side so as not to drown. "Ok well I just spoke to your boss. She told me y'all were here for some kind of package. Honestly I'm really sorry, I heard about your situation. But I want to know what is in there that is worth killing for. Getting blacklisted is one thing. Prison? That's a whole different deal."
  8. Ok! So it's gonna be a reflex save, DC 20 please! Reflex save: 1d20+14 16 great. So half damage on that one. DC 20 then Toughness save: 1d20+5 20 That was stupidly close...
  9. GM "Lord Jesus..." Captain Grover said rubbing his temples. "They showed up and stormed in and took the hostages at the two weddings. Interrupted one of the ceremonies and grabbed the other wedding as they were prepping. One of 'em made mighty quick work of the security without the gun. She's mean in close quarters. They actually put two of my boys down. I think the two older ones set those things to low power. The one who beat the security down actually killed an officer." "So just be careful, one of 'em's a killer ya hear?" Grover said. He pointed to a small screen showing the inside of the chapel where Lurlene and her compatriots had corralled the guests. Grover pointed straight at Lurlene. As little as he liked the Speedster or any of his new noisy friends he seemed genuinely grateful that someone was about to take this problem off of his hands. Suddenly there was more yelling. The man this time swung the rifle a litttle carelessly and angrily. A half dozen shots of plasma struck the wall. "get down!" Grover shouted not even realizing the bolts were coming straight at all of them.
  10. Ha ha ha sure, Orion has a weird sense of time, it's almost certainly an older game, or a future one
  11. GM The ranch had been surrounded by a ring of police cars, two of which had the top of them melting in. The officer in charge, Captain James Grover, was waiting for the swat team. To the untrained nonspeedster eye, four people arrived at once. In reality, Breakneck arrived first followed closely by Pacer and Stalwart, with Hyperactive arriving last. Grover took the suddenly appearing crowd all in before addressing the only one he recognized. "Hyperactive I thought there was one speedster on the Warriors." Captain Grover sighed. The cops had various Waco Warriors who they preferred to work with. "Hey Breakneck, how's it going?" Hyperactive said before looking at Captain Grover. "We got here before swat and will have this remedied before they arrive Captain."
  12. PC Tyson Masters had seen the news break out. He'd been watching the Cowboys game himself with Dr. Orion. Which was torment. But the screen in screen showed bolts of plasma ripping apart a wedding chapel was a relief. "Anyone free to grab this one?" Asked mystery Master over the cave's PA. Hyperactive glanced over at Orion, when he saw a distinct green and white stripe. "Speedster." Orion stated coldly. But Hyperactive was long long long gone. The run from Waco to Abilene wouldn't take even a moment.
  13. @EternalPhoenix @EviscerusNox Ok here we go! Super exes! http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/topic/9752-all-my-exes-live-in-texas-ic/
  14. GM June 4, 2017 The New Beginnings Ranch wedding venue. Outside Abilene, Texas The story had been on all the news channels in Texas. It was both very strange and not so strange at the same time. The not so strange part was that a disgruntled ex had crashed a wedding. Which in and of itself was not newsworthy. What was strange, and newsworthy, was the rest of it. The disgruntled ex had high tech weaponry, from the few wedding guests who had managed to flee, they had what seemed like sci-fi plasma rifles. The whole situation had gone bad fast. Hostages were taken and the police had cordoned off the venue. One psychotic screaming ex with a plasma rifle would have been more than enough for the Abilene police department. But there wasn't just one. There were three. One man and two women with high tech weaponry who had taken hostages inside of the ranch. "Listen just let us go!" One bride cried. One of the crashers responded by smacking her across the face. "Home Wrecker!" She snarled back and waved the rifle, discharging a few shots over the heads of the very terrified hostages.
  15. Not sure about a source of power, but in Hawaiian myth, weresharks (exactly what it sounds like.) were marked with Tattoos. I have also seen a tattoo based hero (used a different system) that could turn into any creature he had slain. He had to be able to touch his tattoos to use his ability. so maybe this person can take powers/abilities/forms from people and defeated foes. And has gotten their hands on something really powerful. Just ideas!
  16. Gonna use my quickness 17 via my Array to take 20 on a search check of a transmitter. Looking for anything suspicious or out of place. Like I dunno, a tracking device. So 29 on that check
  17. Hyperactive tucked away that little nugget of knowledge in his head. Freethinkers. Got it. He rushed up to the forcefield and stuck his arm through. Then he backed off. "So I guess this is up to you Gabriel. We can hear you wherever we need to wind up." He paused. "I hope." Hyperactive turned the transmitter over in his hands again and again and again. He was looking for anything out of place, not that he thought he'd actually find anything if it was hidden by the Empress. "Hey Terrifica, Chrome, can you make sure this works the way it should?"
  18. "Hyperactive the ambush points look clear." Radioed in Doctor Orion. "I don't see the point of this." Hyperactive ignored the overly critical and very shiny paragon. He held pace with the other two speedsters. He was still positively giddy as he ran alongside his personal hero. "Charity and Publicity." Hyperactive retorted. "With any luck, Cahill himself is watching and will be impressed with how we handled this. At which point we could have tax funding. Get some real resources and hey real respect."
  19. Hyperactive looked around the scene. He kicked up his mind as fast as it would go. He rolled his shoulders out as the world went dark and still. The last word most people thought about when they met Hyperactive was brute force. Honestly though, it was his usual approach to hero work. He took off, it was probably seventy five percent of his speed as the world went totally blue. He dashed up a wall and grabbed two children up out of the building. He deposited them back in the resort. Hyperactive ignored anyone near to a window, the flying Miracle Girl could get to them. He was going for people who were trapped. He zipped back and forth between the buildings as they stood all but stock still to him. With a swoop he snagged someone who was a moment from being pierced by twisted rebar. In a dash he snatched up a woman who had actually fallen out of a window on the back side of the marketplace trying to grab her baby, then picked up the baby on the way down. When he finally managed to check out every hidden nook and cranny he actually hit the wall in the resort after depositing the last person and forgetting to phase through it. In a gasp he found himself laid out on his back head spinning. "I'll be fine." Hyperactive managed as he stared up at the ceiling. He retracted the face mask and looked upwards. He hadn't ever done anything that had required that much control. The near light speed running was still a very new capability. "Just gimme like thirty seconds."
  20. I'm bringing this guy back, cause he doesn't seem like he's a threat. Hopefully i arrive like right after I left, but I leave that to you AA!
  21. "I think you've been played. I am pretty sure these people think this is a real robbery. This might actually be a real robbery." He sighed feeling the heat and watched another burst of lightning zip across the sky. "I mean assuming you're an actual bank manager. I'm going to take you back and you're going to sit quietly in a bush or something. Before I get back to you." "Well you seem fairly harmless." Hyperactive sighed. He grabbed the man and again went into a total sprint. He arrived in Hong Kong. He sighed and in a near sprint he darted back to Austin. He'd be there in under a second, which hopefully would be only a few moments after he had left.
