  1. Silver Magus will remain in the back for now and use ESP to look inside the building.
  2. “Okay, I’m...I’m uh…†mumble Cho, one palm on her face. “I mean, sh**. I lost my cool, I wasn’t supposed to slug you in the face like that.†Wincing and cringing internally, she felt really horrible being in that coffee shop when she previously was busy trying her hardest to pummel Thaelia into submission, having the edge in term of raw physical power but overall lagging behind in all other respects. Tempers had flared, there had been some name-calling which resulted in a few painful punches and people flying. “Well, not that it matters much! See? It all worked out pretty well!†Immediately, her enthusiasm died out once more. Well it was clear she had enjoyed a good brawl, the part where she had completely lost her cool was nothing for her to be proud of. “I-I mean, what got said in that room stays in that room, right?â€
  3. Whirr. Click. The armor's helmet piece make a few more soft noises. "There, I have him. He is moving south, toward the airport. One moment, please." Inside the armor, Kyle loaded up the data on his mystic sight spell. The perks of mixing magic and technology; one has a direct acces to entire spellbooks. "Eye in the night give me sight. Let me see what see what is unseen. Reveal a thousand truth and thousand lies." Incanted the armored sorcerer, shaking subtly as if entering a trance. In a flash, his vision blurred as he found himself propelled ahead, the haze clearing, showing him the car driving away from the scene. Blinking, his senses were back in his body once more. "I have him. I can attempt to intercept."
  4. Cho is PL7 and always need a few more threads. Plus, punching dinosaurs is awesome, obviously. Depending how public or known that competition is, she could be there with her family, which would also invoke a good complication. I'm sure her younger sister would love to see some ice statues, however.
  5. Cho Paige Lee History: Born in 1997 to Ken Lee and Wanda Paige. Seemingly normal at birth, much to her mother's relief. A survivor of the Terminus Invasion, miss Paige had remained somewhat traumatized by the incident. Where exactly was she, during the invasion, anyway? A good question and one Wanda will not talk about. Perhaps it was simply too shocking for her to want to recall it. Whatever the case, Cho was born a mutant from her mother's exposure to the Terminus. Some years later, Cho's father fell on hard times for reasons her mother never explaining to her. All she knows or remember is that they had to move elsewhere in the city, being rather strapped for cash. Two years later, while going out to buy some milk, Ken Lee was gunned down in a seemingly random gang shoot out. There might be more to the story but Cho doesn't know. Eventually, Cho's mother Wanda re-married, bringing in a whole new sort of trouble for Cho as she strugged to get along with her stepfather. While he treated her fairly, Cho didn't see things the way they really were and heavily resented him for not being her real father. Declining in health, Wanda needed his support while Cho kept hating and resenting him as an invader. After her sister's birth, she somewhat mellowed out in her relationships with her stepfather. Things remain rather tense to this day as he'd rather see Cho out of harm's ways as he's aware her mother would never recover if Cho was killed. Following the awakening of her powers, she has since begun attending Claremont in hopes that it can help her control her powers and function as a 'normal' person. Recent History: Cho's first real brush of superheroism came in the form of a robotic rampage. She single-handedly stopped the (rather unharmful, truth be told) schemes of the so-called Robomaster. In january of 2014, she began attending Claremont. Following these events, Cho has begun training to become a somewhat more competent combattant. Her strength has grown ever so slightly but for the most part her powers have currently remained mostly stable and unchanged. Costumes: Cho has worn several distinct costumes; Makeshift Mask Cho's original 'costume', if it can even be described as such, was a simple, tight and difficult to breathe in black clothe mask she wore in addition to her regular clothes. It was torn to pieces in her first real fight. Claremont Uniform (Long Sleeves) The usual Claremont Uniform, with all associated features, albeit long-sleeved due to Cho's self consciousness and wanting a costume that covered her all up. Sometimes worn with Cho's usual jacket, sometimes not. Claremont Uniform (Stealth) First used in this is another variant of the Claremont Uniform; This uniform has darker colors, trading the yellow for black and the bright blue for a darker, more muted navy blue. It also come with a hood/mask. Rampart Costume An almost completely new costume design that nevertheless retain a very slight resemblance to the Claremont Uniform, created by Cho upon finally adopting a super-identity for herself, following her joining with the World Youth Rescue Movement (WYRM). This costume plays up to Cho's ability to alter molecules. Using a small device carried by Cho, the suit can materialize and dematerialize in an instant, basically using her powers in a exceedingly limited and pre-programmed way. Powers & Abilities: In terms of training, Cho barely has any that can qualify. She's young, brash, inexperienced and lack proper combat training, resulting in her purely relying on her strength and endurance alone to win any fight. Cho's abilities are currently not fully defined or developped. There is much about them that remain poorly understood and explored. This stem from her relatively young age, inexperience and their recent development. Cho's physical form has seemingly restructured itself, gaining in size, mass, strength and durability. Entropic Energy & Matter Control Cho only has the most basic and crude of understanding and control over this ability. On the surface, it seemingly allows her to project blasts that vaporize matter on touch. In reality, all her other powers stem from this single power, which is, in effect her only superpower. On a subconscious level it increases her physical abilities. Enhanced Metabolism Her body is immune to all known diseases and poisons. Furthermore, her body is capable of healing faster than any human. This healing, however, has many limitations; due to it's slow speed compared to someone capable of 'true' regeneration, it's only good enough to allow her recover just enough as to not be completely helpless and crippled. Furthermore, it can't regrow any missing limbs. Cho's aging is also likely to slow down. Enhanced Strength Cho's physical strength has been greatly enhanced. Easily able to lift 50 tons, Cho's strength, while nowhere near the top of the superhuman strength pole remain non-negligeable. In addition, it allows her to run and jump far more easily and effectively than an ordinary human. Aside from it's obvious use in combat, she can use her strength somewhat more creatively such as shockwaves or powerful claps and more. Enhanced Endurance & Durability Relatively proportionnate to Cho's strength is her enhanced endurance and durability. Her overall health and endurance are greatly increased. Her skin and muscles can shrug off hits from everything but the strongest weapon or from far more powerful superhumans. Via this same ability, she is also immune to the adverse effects of extreme environments, including extreme temperatures and pressure. Trivia: Since the Freedom City setting is much less hostile to superheroes, the dissaproval of Cho's family of her superhero status come not from fear of mutants but rather the simple fact that it is a dangerous life and not one her family wishes her to have. Cho's powers are often describing as glowing orange and/or red, sometimes vaguely flame-like and in one case, briefly lighted up her hand as to show the skeleton underneath her skin. This is meant to visually evoke the burning, skeletal body of Omega and Cho's origin as a Terminus mutant. Her power set also echoes Omega's own, albeit very much weakly. -- Old Version of Cho's Reputation chart: Gather Information (Cho Paige Lee) DC 10: Cho is a girl who lived in Southside. She often got in trouble with local bullies and gangs. A year ago, she's seemingly developped superhuman abilities DC 15: They say her father was randomly killed when she was young. She got a lot of familly issues and you could often hear yelling around her house. DC 20: Cho partially damaged her school when her powers manifested during an altercation. Knowledge (Streetwise) DC 15: There apparently was some street hero around Southside. Nobody ever saw his or her face since it was usually concealed, but that person is likely a local kid. DC 20: Someone cracked down on local gang activity a few months ago. That person had superhuman strength and was seemingly bulletproof.
  6. With a soft whirr, Silver Magus turned to the man. "Checking people's trunks for illegal substances isn't really my priority. Now, tell me; you said some amish or rabbi? Interesting; neither really quite fit the general pattern and stereotypes of car thieves. Althought, I suppose, a car-stealing rabbi is not the strangest this city would have seen." He wasn't quite sure what to make of the amish or rabbi story but it oddly felt like a lead. A very, very odd lead. A metallic hand reach out to tap the side of the helmet a few times as the armored sorcerer just...stands there, for a moment, likely doing something with his armor. Likely tracking down the car. "Now, let's see if I can find out runaway rabbi. Assuming it is a rabbi."
  7. Spending my HP as AA suggested. http://orokos.com/roll/158670 Rolled a total of 14 on a notice roll.
  8. Currently the following players are interested; HG Morrison (Glamazon, discussed in pm/chat)) Scuffles (Glow) Raveled (TNTeen, approval pending) TheAbsurdist (Errant) That might be a bit too many players. I'll see who is still available before starting.
  9. With that wrapped up, Cho crouched and lept away, back to the store to hopefully find her bag. Heading back home, she knew she have a lot of explaining to do. Hopefully she hadn't attracted too much bad attention to herself, a she wasn't looking forward to the familly drama that could unfold. Especially not around christmas. Roofhopping, she headed home. Overall, it hadn't been a bad day. Just a bit odd, she supposed. Of course, Cho had no idea of what would come next... "TO BE CONTINUED IN GRAVITY FALLS!!" says the caption at the bottom of the page.
  10. "H-hero, right." she says, not used to being reffered in that term "Well, I don't have a costume." she explicitly points out. She supposes she might still legally count as one for the purpose of that arrest. "If I'm not neeed here anymore, I think I'll go. I got...well I...uh got other things to attend to. I hope they haven't thrown away my bag." Hopefully this won't make the news, she think. Then again it's a fairly minor event in a city like Freedom City. She stand there, waiting for the policeman's answer.
  11. Cho couldn't help but laugh a bit. "You know, you're not helping your case by saying you were planning to rob a bank." Then, she sighs as the adrenaline rush wears down. Her stomach growl and her energy is at all-time low, fighting the robots and their master was more than tiring for her. She then turn to the police officer. "Can I, uh...can I go now?" However, in her mind, she's aware that she probably won't be allowed to leave, not right away. "I mean, I still left my shopping bag in a store and..." Her sentences are half-formed from nervosity.
  12. "Oh this?" she says. "Um, basically this guy was causing trouble with um, robots. So I stopped him! Yep, he's no trouble anymore." She gesture to the man laying in pain, on the ground. No doubt he was still lying there after that painful and powerful uppercut. "Check in there, you'll find his robots. Same robots that were destroying properties." The girl isn't really sure how to react in this situation. Pride? Nervousness? Regret. She didn't really want to attention since it would only mean her mother would yell at her and that wasn't something she was looking forward to.
  13. Dodging the blow, Cho quipped; "You know. Maybe you should build more than robo-fists. Like, a whole robot suit." And with that she clenched her fist and uppercutted the man. BAM! With a single blow, he was out, cold, biting the dust. Once more, she hoped she hadn't killed the man. Robomaster was down. "Hello? Um, are you okay?" she asked. "I-I hope you're not dead."
  14. http://orokos.com/roll/158322 Rolled a 24. As usual, accurate attack so the DC is 23.
  15. Cho took the key and pause, worried to see if she'd accidentally break it but nothing hapenned. "Allright, so.." She said to Giang. "What are the rules for the dorm? Anything I should know?" After opening the door, she then turn to her whole new roomate, trying not to look too nervous because it would just add more to her bad initial first impression. Or, at least, she imagined it was bad. "Want to go in first? You can set the place up however you like!" With that said, Cho grabbed and lifted her luggages, already mentally trying to figure how she's going to fit things, considering she has her roomate to account. Not that the teenager has really THAT much stuff to place around the dormitory room.
  16. Cho stretched a bit, glad the conversation was moving away from her. While it wasn't exactly obvious at first, she had her moments of shyness. That and annoying or even pissing off fellow Claremont students felt somewhat poor in taste to her. Carrying her luggage, she went silent again, back to being an oversized shrinking violet. Quiet, she simply kept following the others while admiring (and memorizing) the layout of Claremont Academy, where she'll be spending most of her time at in the coming years.
  17. POW! Robomaster saw bright lights as Cho's punch hit his face, almost knocking him out in one blow. The girl felt her opponent's face almost cave in from the blow. In that brief moment, she was glad she pulled that punch. Any stronger and she could have risked killing the man, which wasn't her intention. At the very least, his face and nose would be very painfully sore and swollen for a few days. "That was a warning punch. I um...think I'm supposed to ask you to surrender here, right? I don't want to go jail because I broke you." As she says the, the man's fist very narrowly miss her face. Still in the dodging motion, she then gesture to uppercut her opponent but once more she swung too fast and without proper aiming.
  18. http://orokos.com/roll/158187 Rolled a total of 10, so I missed!
  19. Accurate attack http://orokos.com/roll/158179 rolled a 25, DC is 23
  20. http://orokos.com/roll/158177 And I rolled 21!
  21. "Tch!" said Cho, brushing off her hands. "Yeah, not a chance. Has that ever actually worked?" she begin to ponder out loud, thinking. Did anyone ever stop and went 'yeah I'll be a supervillain' was what was going through her mind. It sounded so preposterous to her to even bother saying that. "Come on, you're really going to punch me? I just lifted your car and shrugged off punches from your robots!" Raising her hands, she taunted the man. "Come at me, bro!" Thinking she absolutely had the upper hand in this situation, Cho completely lowered her guard, frankly not expecting any threat from the man who was running away from her a moment ago.
  22. http://orokos.com/roll/158172 Initiative. Rolled a 12.
  23. Silver Magus Thread:Godwin's Law Thread:>Grand Funk Rumblings Vignette Cho Paige Lee Thread:Gravity Falls Thread: Thread: Thread:Who read the instructions anyway (Finished) GM Apply to Cho. Thread:
  24. Robomaster felt his car shake wildly and then began to feel a pull. The vehicule wasn't moving. Someone was holding it. The metal bending as and breaking as Cho applied pressure, the wheels spinning into nothing as the car found itself lifted off the ground. The whole carcass creaked, straining under her strength. Grunting, she lifted it above her head. This so-called Robomaster wasn't going anywhere in that car of his, no sir! "I'm sorry but this is a no-parking space!" she quips...secretly hoping this isn't sounding horribly corny. It probably does but she realize it's too late to go back. And with that, she smashes the car into a wall!
  25. Spending a HP for Ultimate Effort, making that roll a natural 20 for a total of 30. That car isn't going anywhere!
