"What trap there's-bwuah!" says Cho as the floor beneath her collapses, making her fall on her back with a resundant sound. While it doesn't even manage to hurt her, not even one bit, it does temporarily distract her as well as make her lose focus. Rolling in the debris, Cho regain her bearings after this very short moment of confusion. She also take this opportunity to realize that charging in may have not been so bright. Things could have turned far worse. "Hey, you're not getting away!" In a single bound she's out of the pit like it was nothing, landing on the ground and rolling, body covered in dust. Immediately, the teen scout her surroundings, looking to see where this so-called Robomaster went as she resume chase.

The girl's eyes shift to her left veeery slightly. Then to her right veery slightly, as she observe the area, this so-called 'lair' of the so-called Robomaster. She doesn't seem all that impressed. "Lair. Riiiiiiiight." She frankly look and sound bored and dissapointed by this place, the man behind all this and his old, broken-down and unimpressive robots. "And, seriously, Robot Master? Isn't that from Mega Man? I guess they're all Tincan-Man." She stopped, waiting, expecting something. Or, really, anything at this point. "So...where's the 'trap'?"

The teenager didn't even bother to asses the situation. Charging in, she came up to the door and raised her hands, clenching her fists tight. Once more, the hands and arms glowed briefly. With a scream, she punched at full power the door. With a loud, powerful crashing noise and explosion of debris, the door was torn off open and Cho walked in, not bothering to even asses the situation before she charged in to finish the robot and apprehend whoever might be behind this. "Allright, put your hands up in the air!"

"Hey!" yelled out Cho at the machine. "I'm not done with you! Wait! Hey!" She then paused, feeling dumb. "Oh right, it's a dumb robot. Probably just following it's programming. Or orders." It then clicked in her head that the machine was likely recalled somewhere, possibly to whoever was controlling them. Still sore, Cho wiped her face, the mask covering it half-torn. Considering how useless it was by this point, she simply opted to remove it. "Ghn...mm..gah, it hurt." She winced and grunted, her face painfully sore from getting smacked by a big metallic fist. As the clunky machine walked away, Cho began following it, hoping it would lead her to whoever was behind this. The question of WHAT exactly that person was trying to accomplish also filled her brain. Why hit the wall? Why do all this?

“Well, car thievery. It happens.†says Silver Magus, approaching the man, red cape trailing behind him as the armored sorcerer lifted off in the air very faintly to approach the victim of the car thief. “Still, just to be sure; did you happen to see the person who stole your car? It is possible this person was trying to escape this area.†Silver Magus had a hunch that this was no mere coincidence. Unless, somehow, a car thief REALLY did use this occasion to just snatch a car. Which was within the realm of possibilities.

Silver Magus History: Born in Kingston, Freedom City in 1975, Kyle Finley had a rather ordinary life. Studying intensely he eventually left his home city and only came back when he started working for ASTRO Labs as an inventor. His early inventions did not always meet much sucess. Everything changed when Kyle met Lester Everett. The two became good friends. Eventually, this led to Lester asking Kyle if he would help him finance an expedition to undersea ruins in the South Pacific. Kyle provided the ressources and technology to safely explore these ruins. Deep beneath the ocean, he discovered vast underground caves. An entire city seemingly lied there, beneath the waves and the earth. For weeks, they slowly explored. When they found skeletons of seemingly humanoid lizards, this is where Lester changed. As if he had found what he was looking for. As they explored even deeper, they came upon what appeared to be a temple. The temple was, in fact, of Lemurian origin. Inside the temple was the artifact Lester had been searching for a long time. The teeth of Khavanda. Trapping the others inside the temple, Lester sacrificed them to awaken the Lemurian artifact before finally sacrificing his very life force to it. In doing so, he merged with the entity trapped within and became it's vessel. Using his vast powers, he called to himself the feral Serpent people who still lived within the ruins. Keeping Kyle alive with magic he tortured and mocked him. Eventually, Kyle escaped and wandered the world before following the rumours of Shambala Vale. Upon reaching it, Kyle supplied those living there to teach him magic so he may banish the evil he helped unleash. Powers & Abilities: Kyle Finley is a genius-level inventor, albeit certainly not the best around. There are others who are more gifted than him, that's a fact. However, Kyle is also a mage-in-training and well versed into disciplines far beyond the scope and understanding of science. His mystical abilities still require refinement, however. Trained in basic, common magic (if one could even dare to call magic 'common'), he has the basic suite of spells one would expect; levitation, magical wards and scrying. Adding to this, Kyle has a basic understanding of elemental magic as well. He acquired the knowledge of such magic during his training at Shambala Vale. The Silver Magus armor is not the most impressive of the power armors to have graced Freedom City. Lacking the access to a larger amount of ressources compared to other inventors, Kyle's armor is rather minimalistic in design. However, this is not much of an issue to him as unlike other battlesuit users, Kyle has powers even outside of the armor. The features of the armor are as follow; Nerve Interface Suit Originally designed to allow jet and spaceship pilots to more directly link to their machines, the Nerve Interface Suit was designed by Kyle in his early days at ASTRO Labs before the project got scrapped. Now, slightly altered in function, it plug into the various vital points of Kyle's body in order to more fully monitor his body as well as attune the armor to his own vital force. This allow Kyle to increase the potency of his magical wards. Lightweight Sealed Plating While it provide very little protection, this light metallic exoskeleton provide the Silver Magus with both a sealed environment and a place to allow him to 'hardpoint' the other, heavier and more complex components of his suit. Flexible and segmented, they barely hamper his motions. These pieces are directly mounted on the Nerve Suit. Rocket Boots Simplistic in design, these boots provide additional thrust to the Silver Magus' levitation. In the event either these or his flight magic become disabled the other can still function, preventing him from falling. The boots are fairly large and are part of the leg plating. Their speed isn't particular impressive but this doesn't matter because Silver Magus can teleport. Gauntlets While to outsiders it may seems like the gauntlets of the armor are weapons, in reality, they are unarmed. Their real use is that, with a thought, Kyle can 'load' a spell and the armor will automatically move his hands to cast as fast as physically possible. Kyle like to make others believe his gauntlets can fire lightning. In reality, he can summon the lightning from other directions. In addition, the upper part of the gauntlets each mount an energy shield. Helmet and Computer-Assistance The REAL meat of the armor. Inside the Silver Magus' helmet is a database of just about everything Kyle knows about magic. Able to load any spell he knows, this database greatly enhance his ability to use magic, putting him almost on par with more skilled sorcerers. In a way, it is a massive grimoire in digital format. This computer-assistance is essential to the Silver Magus' abilities.

I don't mind waiting. And with that, assuming the third player is up for it, I got enough people.

I think that, beside you, I might have somebody else. I wouldn't mind ONE character with a higher PL. More would be pushing it, however.

"Nh-gyah!" screamed out Cho as the machine pummeled her, this time leaving a rather noticeable bruise on her face, causing her to reel back in pain, dazed for a very brief moment, her vision blurred. Wiping her mouth and looking down at her hand, her expression changed. This time, she truly felt annoyed, nay, angry. Very angry. This was serious, far more than one or two petty thugs. "Okay, thanks, now I'll get yelled at!" Clenching post fists, Cho charge at the mechanical monster. Her charge was too quick and reckless as she slammed her fist right into the ground and she almost fell on all four. Frustrated, she groaned, expressing her sheer annoyance with the situation.

Also teleporting (albeit by presumably different means), Silver Magus joined up with Shadowblade and the FBI agents. A short gust of wind lifted up and in an instant, the armored sorcerer appeared out of thin air. With a thud, he landed, the suit faintly whirring as he regained his balance. “I suppose it is possibly classified but could someone explain me what such dangerous equipment is even doing here? Playing with time itself is dangerous. The damage it could do could very much be unmeasurable.†He then stopped talking, realizing he was probably rambling. “But I suppose I shouldn’t be the one asking questions or presuming that you may be involved in this. It could very well be some hapless fool toying with forces he doesn’t understand.â€

Allright, I'm doing it. I'm jumping into GMing, since he who risk nothing get nothing. Or something. This should be a pretty simple, hopefully not too long thread. Mostly because I need to 'warm up' my GMing skills before tackling something more complex. There's been a slight upsurge in gang activities in the West End. What's unusual is that once small-time criminals have seemingly gotten their hands on superpowers. What's unusual is that witnesses and police say that the gang members exhibited different abilities whenever they commited a crime. Currently there is no explanation as to why or how they have such volatile powers.

“Well.†said the Silver Magus as he lifted himself a few feet off the ground. “It seems we’re now involved in a most peculiar situation†One look at the lab had been enough for Kyle to assess what could have happened there. “Who's in charge, you ask? Well, see that’s a very good question you see. No, actually I don’t have an answer to that, no one precisely is in charge. We aren’t affiliated, we just happened to all get here. A meeting of circumstances, if you will. The real question is; what is this dangerous equipment doing here?â€

Who or what do you trust the most? Why? For now? Myself. Who or what do you despise? Why? Bullies. I don't know, I guess it's not fair to use power to dominate others. She thought it would likely be simple enough and easy to answer. (1) Where are you from? “Oh come on, they know that it’s probably in their files, what kind of stupid question is this?†I was born in Freedom City. (2) How would you physically describe yourself? Is this different from how others would? “What kind of question is that! Really?†I guess that, now, I look rather strong and fit. Probably part of my powers. I have no idea how the others would describe me, I’m probably far from the weirdest person here. I don't think guys like that. (3) Does you have a distinguishing speech characteristics or recurring mannerisms? “I...I don’t know!†she continue to say out loud as she answered the questions. I talk loudly and with a lot of enthusiasm, or so I’m told. (4) What is your motivation? Not getting yelled at by my mother. Maybe do some good when I can. (5) What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses? I have a lot of energy I guess. I get told I got a very bad temper and I’m too quick to act and that I don’t really think about the repercussions of my actions too well. (6) What does your love? What does you hate? I love baseball. Kyle Finley. A bit short, isn’t it? Where do you live? Currently I am...squatting the house of a friend of mine whenever I need to take time off my workshop. How old are you? What year were you born (if applicable)? Thirty-eight years old. I was born in 1975. Physical Traits What is your gender? If not applicable, please explain. I am male unless some rival sorcerer and/or demon think it would be funny to curse me and change that. How would you describe your heritage? Fairly normal, all things considered. Nothing out of the ordinary. How tall are you? Five foot nine but I am a bit slouched. What is your body type? I’m not exactly in good shape but I am not as pudgy as I used to be after spending years walking around the world. Do you have any particular weaknesses, such as allergies or physical disabilities? My eyesight isn’t great. The lenses in my armor’s helmet correct this. How do you carry yourself? Are you graceful, or heavy on your feet? Can you be stealthy, do you walk with confidence? No and I don’t think others do. Do you have any scars, tattoos, piercings, or birthmarks? Only noteworthy scars are those inflicted by Khavanda when he tortured me. Do you resemble anyone famous? I don’t think so. Do you have a dominant hand? Right hand. What kind of clothing do you wear? Whatever I find comfortable and not too pricy. Do you wear makeup? Surprisingly enough? Sometimes. I try to avoid looking like someone who endured horrific torture and trials during my five years. What is your vocal range? Is your voice distinctive in some way? I don’t know, I never really tried to sing. Not unless it was in college and I was inebriated. My voice is somewhat gravelly. Do you have any distinctive habits, nervous tics, or mannerisms? Where did they come from, and what causes them? Do other people notice and remark on these habits? Do they annoy you or other people? My face can sometimes twitch in moments of stress. Got a lot of bad flashbacks. History Where do you come from? Freedom City, Kingston. Have you made any major moves, or do you live in your hometown? I spent a large portion of my life outside of Freedom City and only came back when I started working at ASTRO Labs. Do you feel loyal to your country of citizenship? Do you consider yourself patriotic? How do you feel about the government of your country? Now that I have seen what lies beyond our world, it is hard for me to find any of this as relevant as before. How do you feel about the place you come from? I’ve seen far worse in my travels. Where is your home town? What was/is it like? Growing up, were most of the people you knew similar to you, or were you somehow a minority? How did that affect you? I don’t really remember. I was a bit of a shut-in. Is there something you've always been really good at or really bad at? How has that affected your life? I was always good at learning things. I was never good at sports. It doesn’t really matter much to me anyway. Were there any traumatic experiences in your early years (death of a family member, abandonment, orphaned at an early age)? My early life was normal and stable. Things only got strange for me during that fateful expedition... Briefly describe a defining moment in your childhood and how it influenced your life. My parents scolding me for having some imperfect grades. I was angry at first but I would say it paid off for them to demand much from me. What stupid things did you do when you were younger? I drank a lot in college, does it count? Where did you go to school? How much school did you have, and did you enjoy it? There was an elementary school in Kingston, I don’t know if it is still there today. I don’t recall my elementary school years much. Same for highschool. Do you have any mementos of your childhood? What are they, and why did you keep them? If you have none, why not? I still have a few books I had when I was a child. When did you decide to become a hero? Why? Did anyone influence you one way or another in the decision? When I escaped Khavanda, I swore I would find a way to banish that entity back to whatever foul dimension it originally crawled out from. Is the reason you give people for becoming a hero different than your real reason? If so, why? No, it’s the same but I don’t really explain the details to people, mostly out of shame. Do you have any deep, dark secrets in the past that may come back to haunt you? I was tricked into helping someone unleash a dark and malevolent entity in the world. Sending this creature back to it’s own dimension is why I took the identity of the Silver Magus. Do you represent yourself as being different from who you really are? Why? Good question. I don’t know. I’m always busy with my researches, I don’t really have the time to think about that. If you do have these secrets, what do you fear would happen if the truth became known? How far would you go to protect those secrets? I am not sure but I am worried it might make me seem like a villain. Do you have any sort of criminal record? If so, is it public knowledge? No but I did accidentally help unleash a dangerous evil. The general public is not aware of this. Family What are your biological parents' names? Davis Finley and Karen Finley, née Emery. Were you raised by them? If not, please explain and describe who raised you. I was raised by my loving, if somewhat stern and demanding parents. What was their standing in the community? What did/do they do for a living? I like to think my father was well-liked and seen as a mature, responsible figure. I’m not sure about my mother, she mostly stayed at home. Where are your parents now? Dead. Did your family stay in one area or move around a lot? They never moved away from their house in Kingston. How did you get along with their parents? How do you get along with them now (if applicable). Later in my life, I was quite distant. In hindsight, I regret not seeing them more often. I suppose they were proud of me, however. How do your parents view you now, or how would they? My parents would be ashamed of my connection with darker powers. They would also disapprove of me learning sorcery, which they would likely find satanical. I know better, of course. Do you have any siblings? If so how many and what are their names? Do you stay in touch with them or have you become estranged? My sister nags me a lot so I would say that, yes, we are in touch. Maybe it’s because she’s worried about me? Do you love or hate one member of the family in particular? I’m not the most sociable person. I don’t like or hate anyone in particular and I don’t think anyone hate me. I have a friend I worked with at ASTRO Labs named Suzie Darcie. I would say we are close friends but this is as far as it goes between us. Do you have a best friend? If so, how did they become your best friend? How close are you to your best friend? I had a good friend, once. A trusted friend. Then he betrayed me to obtain dark powers and become host to an entity named Khavanda. I have sworn to banish this entity. Truth be told, I believe his entire friendship was faked simply in order to manipulate me into helping him. If you were to go missing, who would worry about you? Suzie would. Have you lost any loves? If so, how did it happen, and what did you do? Someone I knew, nay, cared for in college committed suicide. It was long ago, I moved on. Do you have any bitter enemies? If so, please describe them and their history with you. Lester Everett, now known as Khavanda. He tricked me into obtaining a Lemurian artifact. Then he used it to become the vessel to a dark and terrible entity. He is the reason why I became a sorcerer. I did it to stop him. If you have enemies, how do you think they might attempt to work against you in the future? Khavanda knows I escaped him. Who knows what he might do to me? My guess is that he would syphon my mind for all my knowledge. What is the worst thing someone has done to you? Khavanda tortured me, broke my body and mind and ‘fixed’ me every day in order to repeat the torture. Where do your loyalties lie? In what order? I am loyal to my work and to my teachers, those who taught me magic. Who or what do you trust the most? Why? I trust my knowledge. Who or what do you despise? Why? I despise those who abuse knowledge. What qualities do you admire most in other people? Are these qualities you possess? I admire intelligence and an openness of mind as well as honesty. Unfortunately, I am not the most honest person myself as my work requires me to lie to people. What qualities do you hate most in other people? Do you have any of those qualities? Was your faith influenced or molded by anyone special? My master from Shambala Vale showed me what lied beyond our world. This changed my perspective of things. Depending on what it is I may or may not try to chase the thief. How would you react to public humiliation? I would most definately try to clear my name at all costs. I was quite broken but, as with everything else, I must learn to move on. What do you consider to be the worst crime someone could commit and why? Abuse of knowledge to twist others and/or the world. If so, where and how did you get it? I was trained in sorcery in Shambala Vale. I learned my engineering skills in school, like everybody else. Who taught you the most about your heroing abilities? I wake up, drink my coffee then go down in my workshop to either build something, study or learn new spells. I go to sleep when I collapse. Do you have any hobbies, or interests outside hero work? What are they, and where did you pick them up? Buildings things and learning ARE my hobbies! What do you do for fun? ...fun? I don’t have time for fun! Do you have a costume? What does it look like? It’s a flexible, lightweight battlesuit. It is silver in color and I wear a cape with it. The cape is magically enchanted to never touch my rocket boots as I could risk setting myself on fire. How do you normally dress when not in costume? I would say I dress in a fairly normal fashion. Nothing that stands out of the ordinary. What do you wear to bed most nights? My pajama of course! Do you wear any special jewelry? What is it, and what does it look like? No, I don’t wear any jewelry. Do you have a special place where you keep your valuables? A drawer in my room. What's your preferred means of local travel? How about long distance? Nowadays I simply teleport. It saves me money. Otherwise, I use a plane. Miscellaneous Have you ever made a will, or tried to make arrangements for your death? What provisions did you make? I wrote down some notes on a bit of paper, I hope Suzie will find it. If your features were to be destroyed beyond recognition, is there any other way of identifying your body? DNA tests, of course. What would you like to be remembered for after your death? My work at ASTRO Labs. Do you believe you pose a threat to the public? Why or why not? No, I don’t think I am a threat to anyone who isn’t actively trying to abuse power. What do you perceive as your greatest strength? I am very skilled and knowledgeable in a vast array of subjects. What do you perceive as your greatest weakness? I am told I am absent-minded. As he was leaving his friend Suzie’s house and walking down the street, Kyle found himself approached by a woman he didn’t know. “Mister Finley? Can I do something for you?†“Actually, yes, I’m from the website TechnologyTodayAndTomorrow.com, you see, five years ago when our website opened we were supposed to interview you after you came back from your expedition†His face twisted very slightly as the woman reminded him of that fateful expedition that lead him to becoming a mage. “And I suppose that after you’ve heard I was back, you still want that interview? I’m sorry miss but I’ve been five year out of touch with modern technology. I already feel like a caveman when I handle my phone.†“But you were a nearly revolutionary inventor back from your time at ASTRO Labs.†replied the young woman. “I mean, there are still some people out there who remember your work. “Well, this is certainly interesting. Most interesting.†said the Silver Magus as he watched Hrono’s chest plate open, revealing the crackling purple sphere that the machine seemingly could manipulate and unleash the power. As the energy engulfed the campus, the armored sorcerer raised one arm in defense, as if expecting something harmful. A plate slid off the armor and an hexagonal shield of energy formed. Realizing nothing harmful was happening and he looked probably like a fool, he lowered his arm and disengaged the shield. “Well, I can’t be too careful. Now you…†he said to the machine. “You are one amazing construct, you have no idea how much I wish I could see what makes you tick!†Realizing his manic glee was probably unsettling, the man took a moment to calm down. “With your expressed permission only, of course.â€

Upon noticing Thaelia’s gesture Cho pulls her luggage as far away from the atlantean noble as possible. “Um, no. Thanks. I’ll be fine!†she says, annoyed at the idea that Thaelia may find her weakened. Shaking her head, she mentally struggled to keep the fatigue away and for the most part succeeded, if only just for now. Still, that would be enough to keep her functional. “I’ll be fine with my luggage, I’m hungry not on the brink of exhaustion or death!
