  1. Waiting to see what's underwater before I do an attack.
  2. So what's our plan, folks? How are we taking down the robot robbers?
  3. I'm sorry to see you go, Blue. I hope you realize that we're always here, waiting for you to return, and I hope we do run into each other again. Take care of yourself.
  4. Corona The Deadly Dozen At The Point of a Sword Blue Jay Escape From York Hill Age of Aquarian Chrome Hardware Hoodlum Heist
  5. Blue Jay can make Acrobatics 25 with her Skill Mastery. Her next roll is a 7, so unarmed that attack would be 22. DC 20 Toughness check from her punching him.
  6. "The Khan is returning?" Aya hadn't intended to blurt out her reaction like that, but she could feel the chamber's attention turning to her. "That's what you're saying, isn't it? The Star Khan is returning to restart his old empire." She shook her head angrily. "Is supposed to be a declaration of war, then, Ambassador? Many of the formerly Khanate territories you're ready to 'welcome back' to your empire remember all too well what serving under the Khan got them last time -- damnation and enslavement to the Communion. What if they choose to remain free and independent states -- what will the Khan do in that situation?"
  7. I don't want to attack groups of drones, I want to get all the way up to Air Martial and attack him.
  8. Blue Jay is on the job. Results 1d20+15: 35 [1d20=20] Would it be a suicidally foolish idea to just leap into the water and punch a shark?
  9. Ari, what kind of check do you want for Jay to leap from drone to drone until she can get onto Air Martial?
  10. Tona willingly ceded the microphone to Amir, glad to be out of the spotlight and be able to fade into the background. She turned to the glass wall, staring at the cool green darkness of the trees just outside the building. It was a calm, peaceful scene and she concentrated on it, breathing deep to calm herself down. And then someone shattered the glass ceiling and invaded the dinner. The young refugee turned, took a step forward, and froze. A figure in heavy armor was in front of her, evil-looking machines were taking people into the sky, and the diners were screaming all around her. It was a scene from her childhood nightmares and she felt her heart skip a beat; in a moment she was back under the great spreading trees of her home world, watching Omegadrones abduct her people and lift them into the sky. Then the figure spoke and broke the illusion. Annhilists and Omegadrones didn't speak like that, only supervillains did. Supervillains she knew how to deal with. The young woman yelled as she charged forward, leaping from the elevated stage to a table and bouncing into the air. She grabbed a drone in each hand and pulled them together, smashing the robots together with a scream.
  11. Okay. In that case she's Taking 10 on her unarmed attack. Attack "Roll" of 23, Toughness DC 20 against two of the drones.
  12. Jay is going to attack the drones grabbing people. Are they Minions? Can she use Takedown Attack to get more than one?
  13. Luck, olopi. Hoping to hear back soon!
  14. Alright. If we're going to do this we're going to do it right. Results 20#1d20: 20 # 10 [1d20=10] 7 [1d20=7] 7 [1d20=7] 12 [1d20=12] 11 [1d20=11] 16 [1d20=16] 18 [1d20=18] 10 [1d20=10] 7 [1d20=7] 15 [1d20=15] 4 [1d20=4] 19 [1d20=19] 19 [1d20=19] 20 [1d20=20] 15 [1d20=15] 5 [1d20=5] 8 [1d20=8] 12 [1d20=12] 15 [1d20=15] 17 [1d20=17] Okay, so first off we need a roll for Notice and Initiative? She has Skill Mastery on Notice so 25. Initiative takes the first roll, so 10 + 15 = 25.
  15. Chrome needs to go into space at some point because he's a giant pile of Communion tech.
  16. Alright, I'll buttonhole the captain instead, then.
  17. Tona grabbed at the edges of the boat as it shuddered. Once there was a semblance of stability, she joined the other girls in looking overboard. Her forest-trained eyes didn't see anything unusual under the waves, but she was still uneasy. "We should stop the boat and see what that was," she said to no one in particular. She moved towards the front of the vessel, looking for someone wearing some kind of uniform or fancy hat. It didn't take her long; the vessel wasn't that big. Once she had someone she backed them against the wall. "You need to stop the boat," she said. "We need to see what that was."
  18. So should we be posting more here and expecting another scene? Or should we just do individual wrap-up?
  19. The officer was sitting in his cruiser with his feet on the pavement, talking to someone over the vehicle's radio. He paused in his conversation when Hammer walked up. "I've never seen these guys before. I mean, this is just some tiny community bank, right? They're not doing million-dollar loans out of this building, there's probably just a couple grand in the vault. Who would risk that in Freedom City?" He shook his head uncomprehendingly. "I think there's a fire exit around the back, but it just enters into the main lobby. They're gonna see you if you go through that door." Meanwhile Chrome considered the vehicle carefully. He didn't see an obvious catch on the engine compartment, and even if it was open he didn't think he'd be able to recognize sparkplugs or anything else vital. After a few minutes of thinking, he concentrated on his hands and watched his fingers sharpen and lengthen into thin, sparkling spikes. The Claremonter drew his arm back and pushed the finger-spikes through the thin metal of the car hood. When he felt resistance from something stiffer, he leaned into his finger spike and drove it deeper into the engine block.
  20. Miras is still up for this.
  21. Chrome jumped slightly when Warp reappeared, spikes briefly appearing on his metal skin before the instinct subsided. "Yeah, I don't know what's going on with that. The guy who was shooting earlier -- he had a Tommy gun? People don't still use those, right?" He shook his head, bewildered. "I've never heard of robot bank robbers before. Maybe Doc Otaku got really into Baccano, I don't know." He sighed, wiping a hand over his head and pushing back strands of fiber-optic 'hair'. "I don't know how to handle hostages, though. Maybe if we can get a couple to come to the window, can you pop in and grab the hostages? If, like, only the lady-robot was left?"
  22. Tona Baudin froze in her tracks as the attention of the crowd was suddenly focused on her. The young woman could barely have stood out more if she tried; she was the only woman wearing a tuxedo, she was easily the youngest person in the crowd, and she had as many piercings as any four other women put together. Her boss had promised that this event was about being seen at Max Mars's side and shaking a few hands; no one had even hinted at the possibility of speaking. Or possibly they had, and the subtlety had just gone over her head, but here she was. On stage, Mars and al-Misri smiling confidently while she felt like she wanted to bolt through the doors and disappear into the woods. There was only one thing for it. She stepped up to the mic, standing back and extending her neck like it smelled poorly. "Um, hello." She cringed as, impossibly, the tuned and corrected audio system screeched with feedback. "Danger International. Hopes you understand how, um. How important the trees are. To the city." Despite her stance she was too close to the mic, her every exhale and jaw pop clearly audible as she stumbled over her words. "Because if something happened. There would still be trees. And we could go to the trees. Um."
