1. Sparky will audition at some point... as a Drummer/Backup Vox... just not tonight, because I is sleepy.
2. No mastery, but it's +7. It's not bad, not all that great, but not bad for something he's not focused on.
3. If any bands need a drummer or a singer, Sparky will help em out. If not, he'll go solo.
4. Geez has enlightened me in chat. I'll take the do over. I'm just gonna blast 'em. I'll fly out 200 feet and Attack with my blast. With +10 from Inspire, +10 from Attack Bonus. With Autofire Blast Attack vs. Stalkers: 1d20+20=38 I think I maxed out the damage bonus from Autofire So normally DC25. I don't know their defense so I don't know how much autofire to add. Note: I'll change my IC post to reflect this when I get back.
5. "All right. If those things are that far out... at the speed they're going... " Sparksmith does a bit of math in his head and on his fingers. He glows in a bright blue-green, floating upwards to get a better view of the Grue. "I'll be back in a few seconds. No worries." He flies out a few hundred feet, suddenly stopping in mid-air. "All right. They're all watching... this better work." Sparksmith makes two sparks. One in each hand. The surge around him quickly, reforming his forcefield into what looks like a suit of iron armor. They then come together above his right hand, expanding into a giant cannon. As it falls onto his hand, he shouts, "Ready...set...IRON CANNON!" With contact with his hand, the cannon fires a large beam of blue-green energy at a pack of Grue.
6. Ok. SO I'll fly towards them 240 Feet. I'll drop a Created Object on the Stalkers. Using a similar strategy as durf, I'll go with a Power Attack for 3. Now, I'd normally get a -2 Range Penalty, but I get a +2 from Mass Combat. Area Attack vs Evil Grue Stalkers: 1d20+17=20 Of COURSE I roll a 3. Oh, and it's selective, so it will only hit Grue...if it hits. That should be DC28 vs Reflex. I'll save my HP for later.
7. I'll make it official: Delay to after Phalanx.
8. I just submitted an edit request. I'd like to see if it goes through, and if it does, that I can use the edited version of Sparky. If need be, I can delay until after Phalanx or Fulcrum. I wouldn't mind.
9. Doing a big overhaul for Sparksmith. First off, adding one complication. Complications: Family: Sparksmith still lives with his parents. Although they are cool with his super heroics, he still has obligations to them. For stats, I realized that I don't need a 20 in Charisma. It isn't really doing anything for the character. So I decided to take two points of it out right away, then move two more to Wisdom, since training around the world with various weapon masters would make him much more wise. -4 Cha, +2 Wis Stats: 10+6+4+6+6+6 = 38pp Str: 20 (+5) Dex: 16 (+3) Con: 14 (+2) Int: 16 (+3) Wis: 16 (+3) Cha: 16 (+3) His defenses needed a big boost. My only regret is that I can't fix his toughness (Well, not really my ONLY regret, but you get the idea). +1 Fort, +1 Ref, +2 Will Saves: 5+6+6 = 17pp Toughness: +2 (+2 Con) +8 (With Force Field) (Impervious 6) Fortitude: +7 (+2 Con, +5) Reflex: +9 (+3 Dex, +6) Will: +9 (+3 Wis, +6) Upon re-reading the skills section of the core book, I realized that I had been looking at the wrong numbers for benchmarks, and a lot of things ended up not working with the character's background. I took out some unnecessary skills and threw in a few that make him a bit more usable in and out of battle. Deleted Bluff, Diplomacy, and Craft. +4 Ranks to Perform Singing and Percussion, each. +3 Ranks for both Notice and Sense Motive, +2 Ranks for Knowledge. Added PP from June. Skills: 28r = 7pp Concentration 4 (+7) Knowledge (Technology) 6 (+9) Notice 5 (+8) Perform (Percussion) 4 (+7) Perform (Singing) 4 (+7) Sense Motive 5 (+8) I realized that I was almost never going to use a few of the feats I had, so I changed some things around. Removed Inventor and Taunt. Added Uncanny Dodge (2) Feats: 13pp Accurate Attack Ambidexterity Defensive Attack Dodge Focus (6) Improved Initiative (1) Power Attack Uncanny Dodge (2) (Auditory & Visual) For powers, I noticed that my Affects Others Flight was basically useless to me. I also added some PP to the array so I could improve on my powers a bit more. Increased Array Rank, added Selective, Tether, Precise (to both alts), Improved Range, and corrected(?) Autofire at chat's suggestion. Removed Affects others from Flight. Powers: 36+4+12 = 52pp Spark Control Array 16 (Power Feats: Accurate 2; 2 Alternate Powers) [36pp] Base: Create Object 10 (Energy; Extras: Moveable; Power Feats: Selective, Tether ) [32pp] AP: Blast 10 (Energy Beam or Energy Weapon Fire; Extras: Autofire; Power Feats: Improved Range, Precise) [32/32pp] AP: Strike 5 (Energy Weapon; Extras: Autofire 3, Penetrating 6; Power Feats: Mighty, Improved Critical 2, Affects Insubstantial 2, Precise) [32/32pp] Flight 4 (Spark encases around him or can form wings; Flaws: Platform) [4pp] Force Field 6 (Body Armor or Glowing Aura; Extra: Impervious) [12pp] Abilities (38) + Combat (24) + Saves (17) + Skills (7) + Feats (13) + Powers (52) - Drawbacks (00) = 151/151pp So... hopefully he'll be better now DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
10. As Sparksmith goes flying through the air, a spark encircles the two children staring horrified at what seemed to be a massacre. The bubble moved towards the heroes, spinning to make sure the kids don't see any more. The bubble stopped moving as soon as he collided with his first dome, which subsequently was absorbed into him upon collision. He sat up, quite winded and beaten, and started to casually toss a spark up, catch it, and repeat (with his good arm, of course). "Listen, I don't know who you are, but you're no future." While the orb of energy floated in the air, Sparksmith formed another spark and quickly threw it at the robot's gut. Sparky let out a groan from the pain, his adrenaline calming slightly. However, he still managed to smirk, saying "I have to admit, though. You don't look half bad." He chuckled to himself before letting out a smaller grunt.
11. Tough Save: 1d20+8=13 HP: 1d20+8=20 ok. I should be down to 4 Hero Points Use 2 to get rid of Fatigue and Stun. Free Action: Dismiss dome over the van. Standard Action: Dome around kids for protection, with a floor. Move Action: Move the kids farther away from Keres and the evil robot bugs. Surge: Standard Action: Energy Blast: 1d20+10=20 I believe that's a hit. Normally, it's DC25 vs Toughness, but thanks to Autofire, that's now DC30 vs Toughness... right?
12. Bluff Check: 1d20+9=25 Hero Point (Upset I have to use this on a roll of 16 ): 1d20+9=13+10=23.... I'll take the first one... Figures that would happen. Toughness Save: 1d20+8=17 ...ugh... Hero Point (Happy that he has Points to spare): 1d20+8=20 welp... better than nothing.
13. Sparksmith No Mercy World Domination Through Recycling Under 15...more than 1!
14. Sparky will be down as soon as I get my edit through. *edit: Corrected statement :geek: *
15. Ok Fort Save: 1d20+6=21 OH THANK GOD Tough Save: 1d20+8=12 ...Crap. Hero Point Tough Save: 1d20+8=26 Better. Also, since the minivan is surrounded by the dome, someone would have to try to break it or go under it to get the woman out...waiting for the round to end could be BAD.
16. Extra Effort: Surge for extra standard action to dome the van. Hero Point to shake off the fatigue.
17. "I got your back, dude!" Sparky yelled down to Rift. Upon hearing the woman scream, he shook his head at himself. "It's never allowed to be easy, is it?" Sparksmith flew down to the minivan and opened the door. "Hey, no need to worry. I'll get you guys out of here." He reached in, grabbed the people inside and sat them down on the ground next to him. He looked up at the minivan, with the plume of smoke getting darker and darker. He took a deep breath, smiled, and glowed extra bright. He extended his arms as two more sparks came out, making a dome around the minivan, keeping the impending explosion contained. "Officer!" He called over to the officer who had been carrying his partner. "Do you know a quick fix for a broken leg? This woman needs something until we get her to a hospital."
18. "Oh man. I hope I'm not too late." Sparksmith appears on the scene surfing on air on a glowing blue board. "Crap... There's a lot more damage now then what I saw on TV," he thought out loud. He flew closer to the bridge, seeing the chaos more closely. His focus closed in on the minivan, the two policemen, and Rift. "Rift's in trouble... but the innocent come first." He made two sparks in his palms and sent them out, forming two platforms. One platform slips under the officer carrying his partner, while the other slips under the minivan. The glowing blue platforms curl up and surround the two subjects in bubbles. Sparksmith moves them as quickly as he can to a safe distance away.
19. The Sparksmith, glowing blue, quickly arrived at the Freedom City Medical Center. He floated in front of the building and looked down each street expecting something ugly. With no sight of them yet, he looked down and spotted the other heroes. He became excited. "The Interceptors. Young Freedom. I'm fighting alongside BOTH the Interceptors AND Young Freedom. This is awesome." He looked back at the hospital, then let out a sigh. "Or at least it would be in better circumstances." He floated down to the heroes around the MAVERIC. He spoke somewhat nervously, not knowing exactly how to introduce himself "Hi! You can call me Sparksmith... I'm here to help."
20. Initiative 1d20+7=12 Sorry I'm late....wow...for my first role on the board... that sucked.
21. Sparksmith would be compelled to help protect the hospitals, so Sparky's hitting objective 3.... Even though that's probably the worst place to put him...
22. Yeah, I thought, since this was an older thread, that people couldn't join anymore, but someone suggested jumping in, so Sparksmith is definitely in!
23. Also edited based on an error Ecal found in the Strike power.
24. I think the stray point was a non-existent Alt Power that snuck its way into my Powers total. But other than that, all of the problems were lack-of-updating problems.
