  1. Initiative: 1d20+7=23 :3 Hammertime!
  2. When Sparksmith finished, he dismissed all of his drumkit save for his stool. He applauded Jack's summoning of a guitar and his performance. He had never heard the song before, but he tapped his thighs in perfect rhythm. Kurt was genuinely impressed by the performance, not expecting much from someone who didn't even know what was going on in the apartment. As Eddie and Warren approached the mic, Sparksmith felt a chill. All right. Let's see exactly how good this kid is. By the end of the performance, Sparksmith was shaking. He'd never heard a cover...or any song for that matter, done so well in his entire life. H...how was that even possible? After a few seconds, he composed himself. All right... duh... musical mutant... but WOW. Skill. Rift was fantastic too. Never heard him just perform for fun. "Stellar performance guys! Incredible!" Sparky stood and applauded. Sparky listened to the Dr. perform eagerly, thinking she'd play using her hair or something of the sort. When she played with her hands, he was a tiny bit disappointed, but he was still impressed by the performance, and thoroughly enjoyed it.He applauded again. "That was great! That was a pretty awesome performance! I don't hear Offspring covers very often. That was pretty sweet! After Moira's performance, Sparksmith was completely still and completely speechless. Her performance wasn't just good, it was...exciting! He wasn't sure if he liked the music or the musician, but both were amazing. "Wow..." Was all he could say for some time after the performance. When he finally composed himself...again... Kurt stood up applauding. "Wow. I didn't know there were so many good musicians in Freedom, let alone supers that were musicians."
  3. Sparksmith is definitely in :D
  4. Quick References: Reputation Questionnaire Interview
  5. I'll spend it to take care of the Fatigue. Thank you.
  6. Kurt shook his head in amazement. Her speed was incredible... unbelievable. He's seen speedsters before, but nothing like her. He put his MP3 player back in his pocket, "Will do, Speedy." As for her song choice, he certainly wasn't expecting that, especially after her "classical" comment. Yes, Metallica is pretty memorable, but "classical?" When did Metal become Classical? He chalked it up to the uneducated generation and ignored it. He looked at his drums and sticks, then at Zoe. She was serious. He started drumming simply. He played it by the book to start. As the song went on, he really got into it. His arms moved wildly as he struck each drum and each symbol with great precision. Midway through the song, Kurt lets go of the drumsticks, letting them seemingly move by themselves as he stretched his arms out, giving them a bit of a rest. He sipped on the drink he had brought with him, put it back down and joined back into the song, grabbing the drumsticks with a rather intense look on his face and continuing the song perfectly. Going through his head, besides the music, I have to say, she's good. Very good. She's no James Hetfield, but then again, I'm no Lars Ulrich.
  7. Skill Mastery gives Sparksmith a 10+10=20.
  8. "Sure, kid." He smiled and twirled his drumsticks in his fingers, thinking about the events that had transpired just a few moments ago between her and Breakdown. "I may not be as skilled as some of you... what were they calling you, 'Clearmount' kids? But I think you'll like what you hear. The Energy drums give a bit of a unique sound." "I'm sure there's something we can play." Kurt reaches into his pocket and grabs his mp3 player. He tosses it over to Zoe. "Pick a song, any song!"
  9. "Hah, yeah, that's me. Honestly, it's only been a month or two. It's not bad. No one ever 'stops me on the street' since I fly everywhere, and generally, not many people have even heard of me yet." He sips on his drink again. He looks up at the ceiling, thinking hard about the question. "The only thing I've really had to worry about are my parents, but so far, the only incident I can think of was my dad over at the hospital... but then again that would have happened even if my identity was secret." He took out his cell phone and looked at the time. "I'm fortunate. Things are going pretty well. How about you? What do I have to look forward to in the future? How long have you been hero-ing in the open?"
  10. Kurt became red in the face. A girl telling another girl that he was "good with his hands" was something that he never expected to happen, even if it didn't mean what could be insinuated. He made a bit of a nervous laugh, "Well... thank you! It was the only non-fighting skill I learned over-seas." Two sparks collapsed in his hands into drumsticks, and he twirled them in his fingers. "It was how I relaxed after training every day. With my powers, it was really easy for me to pick up, since I had the tools with me at all times." He smiled.
  11. Kurt was red in the face-- two angels in one night! I loooove this city. He extended a hand to shake. "Hi Alex. It's a pleasure to meet you." He paused a moment. Oooh now I know where I've seen you before!" He started getting excited. You're Mongrel Angel! I've seen you on TV hundreds of times! It's a real honor to meet yet another holy being in Freedom City." He took a sip from his drink and smiled. "So, what brings you to the pub tonight? Here to see Divine? You seem to know each other very well.
  12. The song had ended just before Kenneth came out. All at once, the blue-green energy dissipates and swirls back into Kurt, with him falling on the floor, exhausted. He was completely caught off guard by the horde of girls running up to him. he pushed his way through with some difficulty, brushed off his suit and walked into the restaurant. He walked up to the host's pedestal slowly, "Good evening, sir... table for one, please. Somewhere near the band if at all possible. He walked behind the man to his table and sort-of plopped down into his seat. As he waited for the server to come and ask for his order, he took out a small notepad and pen. He began writing some things down about his little vibraphone performance and drawing some doodles. He thought to himself, Oh man... I can't believe I did that... in front of the press, too. Mom and Dad are gonna be soooo pissed... but I can't worry about that now. It's time to have a nice dinner... a REALLY nice dinner.
  13. "Hah, yeah. I forgot about the whole 'exploding engine' thing after the guy threw me. I didn't think it'd do that much damage, but I was right next to it." He laughed a bit and rubbed the back of his head, the memory of the injury still fresh in his mind. "My dad had to work on me all day to fix that mess up. I'm glad you guys were able to take care of that situation without me though." Kurt let out a small laugh at what just happened, turning a bit red in the face at the "enthusiasm." "Heh, I probably wouldn't do so well solo. A vibraphone wouldn't fit in a rock concert, so that leaves me with drumming for any band that needs it." He went back to his spot and recreated his drum kit. "Let's go people! Forget the drama! I wanna make some music!" He smirked with his fist in the air wrapped around his drumsticks.

  16. Well, Sparky doesn't care too much about the attention. He only did it to calm the crowd down.
  17. Quote I was just a surprised as you :P
  18. Faust, by the way, Sparky's also from New York. If you didn't notice, he graduated from Colombia.
  19. Kurtis had been hanging around the pub for about an hour. Partaking of an especially juicy cheeseburger. He was dressed casually, with a splash of "nice." He wore a pair of nice jeans, a t-shirt with some sort of video game logo, and a collared shirt unbuttoned. It was his first time in the pub. After hearing about it all over the city, he had to try their food and drinks... although tonight wasn't the night for a drink. He wasn't in the mood to take a bus or call a cab, so he stuck with soda. He would occasionally take a look around the pub to see if he recognized anyone, but he had no luck. With one last turn before paying his check, he noticed the angel walk in. He was a bit shocked, but not as much as one would think. After a month or two, he became accustomed to the wide array of different creatures/people that live in the city. What really caught his eye, though, were her black white and gray wings. He had seen white wings on angels before, but he couldn't think of any one with multicolored wings. He decided to order a dessert and stick around a bit longer.
  20. For Sparksmith Picture in the description disappeared, so this should put it back. Complications: Identity: Public - Since graduating from College, Kurt and Sparksmith have been known as the same person. He's through with keeping secrets unless extremely important. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
  21. OOC is coming as soon as i get some things taken care of that I didn't know I had to. I'll still be doing that, but the logistics of it will be different depending on what happens. Scratch that. Don't get the pp until the end of the month, so, I'll have to stunt for Create Object 10 (Energy; Extras: Movable; Power Feats: Precise, Progression) I'll spend a HP on Heroic Feat: Facinate- Perform (Percussion) He creates his Vibraphone and Facinates.
