  1. Charlie walked over to the model of the Warehouse for a closer look. He gave one of the carts a push with his finger and smiled. "Always loved these things. A certain kind of charm, even if they're a bit silly." He was amazed at the detail that had gone in to the model. He found it difficult to pull himself away from the model, but seeing Terrifica's enthusiasm and apparent competance, Charlie was ready to follow her lead, "Do we have all our supplies in? Or are we going to have to run out for lumber?"
  2. Coiled Lightning grinned at the suddenly quiet Slice as he ducked aside from another energy blast. "What's the matter, Slice? Whip got your tongue?" He made a wild attack, reaching toward Slice and catching the villain across the face with the sparking whip. Slice stumbled backward, grabbing at his face and slammed in to the wall. Letting his momentum carry him forward, an enthusiastic hero swung the whip toward the big guy with his backswing, catching the brute across the back, but leaving himself slightly off balance.
  3. Ok, attack on big ugly 1d20+10=17
  4. Getting cocky now, CL's pretty sure Slice can't hit anything, so he's going to throw in 2 points of all-out-attack 1d20+10=30 Critical! Looks like all out attack was unnecessary. DC 21+5=26 damage. And I'm at Defense 5 until next round
  5. "I am Silvar Drash of Dragos. You can call me Dragonid. I have served beside your King Kharag, and proven to him my worth on the battlefield and my right to the title of Praetorian. Likewise he has shown me his superior skills as a warrior and leader. He offerred me this chance to meet with you, his people, and I jumped at the chance to learn what kind of people would give rise to such a king." The reptillian warrior said, puffing out plumes of smoke "And show you first hand what kind of warriors your king has allied himself with."
  6. Dragonid snorted and wiped his face clean. "A spirited beast. It is a shame to see it chained so. I wish it well upon its release, good luck against its pursuers. I hope your hunters do not take offense that I see a difficult fight for them." "Back to business, then. Do not want to keep your people waiting." he said and continued into the building, giving cursory glance to the ceremonial weapons on to the mess hall. He took some time observing, comparing these aliens to Kharag, looking for the differences that marked individuals in this race.

Revenge is a Dish Best Served Hot OOC (Kharag and Dragonid survive an assassination attempt among Kharag's people) Incursion: Praetorians: Awakening OOC (The Praetorians awaken on the Curator ship after thousands of year only to learn of a Communion invasion) Incursion: Meaning in Destruction OOC (Dragonid, Traveller and Moon Moth seek to find help or information on a planet in the Communion's Path) Incursion: Blockade Runners OOC (To get vital intelligence regarding the location of the Communion mothership back to the Coalition our heroes(Bliss, Dragonid, Ghost Girl, Kharag and Wraith) will have to fight their way off world and through an enemy blockade!) 20Q Dragonid describes his origins
  9. Coiled Lightning shook his head at Slice. "Oh, you're not going anywhere. You've got a date down at the precinct house." He took a moment to watch the thugs loading up the van, but they could wait. Turning back to Slice, he watched the villain's movements carefully. He waited as he ducked to the left then quickly drew back his whip and lashed out at him. The electric whip struck Slice across the chest and delivered a satisfying shock, and a smile crossed the blue-clad hero's mouth. Thought I was losing it there for a moment, he thought.
  10. "Yeah, I remember" Charlie replied about book group, "It means Call of Duty and Pizza night. Can't wait. You should have book club more often." He joked. "I'm sure the cops will wrap up that murder case, though." He said heading back out to the garage, "They're the professionals, after all." But, of course, Charlie had no intention of leaving it the the police, and as enticing as Call of Duty and pizza were, he knew his first order of business was checking in with Detective Erickson. He sent an email, requesting any details the detective could provide, but assumed he would have to go down to the station in person after work. It might also prove worthwhile to pay a visit to Scott Lewis, to see if his sources had any more details that didn't make it in the article.
  11. This is a test of the Profile Feed system

  12. "We are, of course, sworn to defend those who need defending. But first we need an honest examination of the situation to know where we can hope to do any good. If VINCE is right and we don't have the rest of the empire behind us any more we need new allies, new armies..." Dragonid trailed off as facts sunk in. Frozen here for 2000 years while the empire he vowed to protect fell apart without them. 2000 years in the Curator's trophy case. Dragonid tried to control the fires of anger building inside him. He looked at VINCE, "I do not remember anything like this wormhole weapon. Have the Communion's tactics been the same otherwise? Or is this a brand new fight?"
  13. Charlie barely had time to fumble with his whip to provide a light when Terrifica took care of the lights herself. He smiled at her entrance, caught enough off guard to earn her a small jump backward. He tipping his hat again. "Nice to meet you, miss. I'm Coiled Lightning. I've always loved Halloween, no doubt this will be a memorable one, with everyone here helping out. I hope the kids have a good time, too." He walked in to the trailer to have a look around, trying to make out what might be hidden under the tarp.
  14. Another Whip attack against Slice: Finally 1d20 + 8=24
  15. "My world?" asked Dragonid. "The air is much like this. Less impressive buildings. Greater forests. My people had not found their way to the stars when the Delzatri found us. I believe they found us still not ready to leave our home. There is still much fighting among rival nations, and the warrior class rules over the workers and the scientists. As far as I know, only I was taken off world." He shrugged, "I was unfairly sent to the worker class. I rebelled against such treatment, now I represent my people among the stars. The Fathers would be amused, I think."
  16. "I will not flinch from such a challenge." agreed Dragonid, "but I hope I do not have to break many bones. The first should be enough." This was also the way among his people. Usually. Honor bouts were not designed to be to the death. But it was differet with the judged. Once he was judged guilty, his challengers had one goal in mind. Dragonid stared at the reptilian beast for a moment. "We have beasts like this at home. Some of the radicals among the scientists suggest that we are descended from them. I always dismissed such a thought, but much of what I always knew was wrong. I hope your people do not dwell on such similarities." He looked the beast right in the eyes and responded to its hiss with his mightiest roar.
  17. "You live without air?" Dragonid asked, amazed. "That does not seem possible. But then, the science of my people could not explain much of what I have seen since I left my home. We did not even know there was life on other worlds, let alone such variety. So much of it totally unlike me." He stooped to pick up one of the scales that Myoth had dropped, looking at it closely. "It must take great effort to keep such delicate wings unbroken. Do they not get in the way while you work, pretty as they may be?"
  18. Dragonid rose from the tube confused and sluggish. He did not remember where he was or how he got here, but it seemed unlikely to him that it was of his own choosing. Chatter from the others, already awake and milling about, seemed to confirm his fears, fueled his rage. He attempted to melt the whole containment tube to slag, but for now, it seemed, his fires were failing him. A side-effect of his extended sleep, he guessed. He could only hope that it would return before he needed it. He gave the tube a savage kick instead, then moved to follow the others upstairs. He took his seat among the others, watched this VINCE with suspicion. He seemed to have deliberately avoided the subject of who he was, but Amara seemed to at least trust him. A little. Dragonid guessed that would have to be enough for now. "Rally? Fix things? These Lor lost their Capital world and half its population in an instant, and according to that map they're a major power. If they couldn't defend their Capital, what could they have left now to stage a counter offensive?" Dragonid's words sounded angry, but they hid an amount of fear. Everything on that map boded ill.
  19. Dragonid's lip curled back a bit as he saw the Moth man examining his "wings", but he composed himself. "No, Brother Myothizar. I am not injured. I was born without wings, a defect among my people, but not one that can be healed." He looked back at his jetpack. Of course it looked like a set of wings. Was it that obvious he had had it designed to compensate for the ones that nature had denied him? "This device simply gives me back the sky, it does not function as true wings." "I will remember, though. Skills at healing are always to be valued. It is good to call you ally. Does the breathing here pain you?" he asked as he noticed the moon moth's difficulty. "I have heard that not all worlds have the same air, do you come from such a world?"
  20. "And it seems your aim has gotten worse. You tagged me from across the block last time." Charlie quipped as he ducked to avoid Slice's attack. "What brings you and big ugly over there out here on a night like this?" He snapped the whip at Slice again, but the criminal was too fast tonight, and he couldn't land a hit. Coiled Lightning groaned in frustration, this wasn't turning out to be a good night. He was glad to see Liquify was being more effective than he was, but couldn't help but wince as he saw the bullets strike the watery form.
  21. Charlie quickly read the paper, suppressing a smile as he saw his name called out. He turned it to a frown when he remembered how serious this situation was. "We've got sick people in this city, someone preying on the homeless like this." He put the paper down and thought for a second, "I don't buy that this is really the same guy, though, as those old murders back in the 30s. Someone with a sick need to get his name in the papers." It occurred to him that he could have prevented this, if he'd been able to find a lead the other night, or he'd been able to protect the evidence and stop the break-in. He needed to find a way to get back in to this investigation. He looked back at Jane and added, "Let's not catch any shows for a while, though."
  22. Attacking Slice again, back to damage and without power attack. 1d20+8=14
  23. Character: Dragonid What they're doing: Yet another recently woken Praetorian
  24. Coiled Lightning called back to the watery hero, "Thanks for lending a hand here, the name's Coiled Lightning. I've tangeed with these two before and they're a bit much to handle solo. You want to be keep an eye on that big ugly brute. It's no fun being on the wrong end of those fists." He gripped his whip and upped the power, spinning the lash around as it grew brighter and threw off more sparks. "And be careful not to get caught in the sparks." He whipped the end toward Slice, but it arced over his shoulder harmlessly.
  25. Going to try to use my stun effect on Slice, with 2 points of Power Attack 1d20+6=12 Another miss
