  1. Sei barely had time to watch the antibody crumple to the floor when Ana asked her to leave. The reptilian archer looked at her and seeing that she was hurt too badly Sei nodded in agreement. "Work quickly Ana." Sei took off after that, drawing her bow again as her long legs carried her down the hall. She had to hunch slightly not to hit her head and it was distracting. Still, she kept her eyes out, drawing two arrows from her quiver and knocking them both. These things weren't fighting fare, so neither was she. Not any more. Sei had just about given up on seeing more enemies, when the hallway deposited into the cargo bay and the chaos there filled her senses. Golden eyes were wide as they surveyed the scene and the harsh scream of a child sprung her into action. Two enemies, two arrows, one shot.... It would be difficult but it was one she had made before. One was stalking toward another wall and the other was sinking it's disgusting teeth into the child. Without further hesitation she loosed the arrows, both seeming to fly straight and true to their targets. One arrow pierced through the antibody hunched over the child. The other didn't hit home. The antibody had been on the move, and with two targets, Sei hadn't quiet judged her aim correctly. The arrow hit, but it had moved enough for the arrow to glance off of one of it's metal plates instead of sinking into flesh. The archer let out a curse, or rather a string of sounds and chirps that to anyone else would sound like garbled noises. To Seika, it was something about how it's mother had done some rather inappropriate mating.
  2. Alrighty well.... I'd say she probably came around the corner to see the one already chewing on the kid. She probably wouldn't see the lady the other was was focused on in that first instant of entering. So let's say she just barely shifted to hit the one attacking the child and ended up maybe just nicking the other..... Hopefully she manages to grab the things attention and stop it from killing the woman. I'll get my post done .

  4. Sweet. So she gets one but not the other right? Which one takes the hit?
  5. Alright. She'll go for the two attacking civilians. One arrow each. Five ranks each. Taking 10 for the attack for a total of 20.
  6. Sounds good. Thanks for clarifying that Gizmo. I was searching all through the core book but didn't think to check Ultimate Power. I'll have her split them evenly, five ranks per attack and taking 10 on the roll. I'm assuming it's the same two that Kharag have come across? Or is she in a different part? Also I'll have her spend another HP to shake off the fatigue next round.
  7. Sounds like a great plan! So she'll double move and get to the cargo bay. My thinking is to have her arrive with her bow drawn. She has 'split attack' on her base arrow and I'm thinking she'd knock two of them for whatever she finds around the corner. How does split attack work? Is it one attack for two targets or two separate rolls? I'm not finding any clarification in the source material.
  8. No worries then! I just wasn't sure what was going on. :-)
  9. The walk was long and when they finally stopped, overlooking the ruins, it left her almost speechless. It was like something out of a movie. Still, she stepped up, turning to address Lord Zander. "I can get in and out without a problem. I can do about 500ft in a shot." She turned to look at everyone. "Whatever is going on here, we need to find out. Leading the legion in is sure to draw attention. Even if its just us-" She gestured to her fellow students. "That way we don't scare them off... Assuming they don't already know we are here..."
  10. Hey guys, just checking in on the thread. hasn't moved in a while....
  11. Skaere froze, those green eyes wide in shock when Vince hugged her. After a moment of hesitation her arms came around him as well, careful of her claws as she hugged him back. Vince's words made her laugh, her wolfy voice giving it a strange but not unpleasant distortion. She always was one to eat her feelings. "You are a strange one Vince. But in a good way. Though as good as that sounds, changing back would leave me wearing very little. Not naked, but not enough to warrant going out in public without drawing attention." Saving him was definitely worth it. It was something that she would never forget, that would always weigh on her. She had killed a man. It was done for all the right reasons but still. At this right Skaere might not have a choice. She was worn out. She couldn't just stroll through town like this. She would need to change back soon....
  12. Are we still doing this thread?
  13. Alrighty so. Should she make a survival check to follow the tracks? Or would that be perception? Or both again?
  14. Skaere stared blankly into the woods, unable to look down at what she had done. Vince's voice only made her flinch, though it was good to know that whereever he had hiding he was safe. "Yes. He.... I..... you are safe." She felt like she was going to be sick. Or cry. Probably both. Skaere did not remember when she fell to her knees, only that she could feel the grass beneath her furred legs. She tried to stand. She learned forward, pushing herself up as she tried to balance on her feet. She immediatly went bad down, slumped over. She wasn't wounded, but she was drained. Physically. Mentally. "I didn't want to do that. I didn't. I-" She felt like her strength was slipping away, like she was on the verge of losing grip on her transformation as a sob shook her shoulders.
  15. Sei knew what her Cryokinetic mechanic was capable of. The icy blast didn't surprise her, though it did make her shiver from it. The archer didn't have time to complain about the cold, she was just grateful for the warmth of her protective suit. With a step and a turn, Sei's sizable frame moved with grace. She pulled the dagger from the chest of one enemy, easily outmaneuvered the attack from the other and brought home another slice and stab of her blade.
  16. Going for another stab! Melee Attack on another Antibody: 1d20+8 27

  18. Sei's victory at her arrow's contact was short lived. The archer having little time to celebrate before the antibodies surrounded her. She managed to dodge the first hit, stepping back just enough for the attack to hit only air. Only moments later the others made contact. The electrical jolt making her sharp teeth clench and a growl vibrate in her throat. She very nearly fell to a knee, but the archer managed to push through. Panting, A bow wasn't suited for this kind of combat. Too many enemies, not enough room to dodge. The nature of her bow had in it in her off hand and the archer twisted, flicking it back to its stowable shape and clipping it to her back. As she came back around, her dagger was already in her main hand. In one movement the huntress stepped up, burying it to the hilt within the chest of the antibody.
  19. I will assume yes then so i can get my post in
  20. Skaere's glowing green eyes narrowed, carefully surveying the sadness she saw within the hunter's. His words, his conviction, they both weighed heavy on her heart. She knew there would be no stopping this man. There would be no convincing him to stop, no reasoning with him. He was like a junkie. He felt no guilt or remorse for what he has done or the lives he has taken. Even now, with death looming over him, he could only see the glory her death would bring him. She shook her great furred head, ears falling flat against her head. It softened her snarl somehow, making her expression even more forlorn than the hunter's. "You have been consumed by this this ritual, hunter. Death, it seems, will be the only release from your madness.... I.... I am sorry." Skaere reacted in an instant. There was no time to change her mind, no time to back out. It took only a moment for her teeth and claws to sink into flesh, only another for it to tear apart. Skaere pulled away as the hunter's life stained the grass and dirt a deep crimson, his insane hunt finally put to an end. Beast. It's what he had called her. The word rang hollow in her head and in her heart. She looked down at her claws, at the red blood that dripped from them. She felt water burning in her eyes, making them sting. But as he head feel back what escaped her wasn't tears. It was a howl, hollow and solemn and echoing among the trees.
  21. That is, are we allowed to kill these things?
  22. Sei was careful where she stepped. Her own bare feet crunching lightly in the grass and she knelt down to take a better look. "Yes. Big. Bigger than Sei perhaps." Golden eyes skimmed over the tracks, taking note of each print. They were similar sizes and shapes, going this way and that. No major variation but- "There." She stands tall, taking a few strides away from the vehicle before crouching low. Long fingers prod gently at a set of tracks. "Not just one Oskar. Two. Three.... Maybe more. Too many prints for just one and they go..." She lets her hands do the talking, pointing and tracing the different ways the tracks went outward. Standing up, Sei reaches back, pulling her bow from it's cradle at the small of her back. With the press of a button and one firm flick, the bow springs out, the arms unfolding and extending and pulling the string taut with an audible 'twang'. For any but her it would prove too large. "Wise to be ready. Do not know how many we may find."
  23. Skaere looked back at Temperance, her large wolf like ears pressed flat against her head and making her look sad and unsure. "I don't want them to die." She gestures around them, looking up at the hanging pelts. "Too many have died already. They deserve to be free. In the wild." The last part was for herself more than anything. These were wild animals. She couldn't take him home, as much as she wanted to. But maybe... Maybe she could get involved with whatever organization helps them. She turned to Sekhmet. "I know you are more of a cat person but... Do you think they will be alright?"
  24. Yeah I think... I think she sees that all he wants it to extend his life. No matter the cost. No matter who or what he has to kill. Do you want me to roll for it or just have her deliver the blow?
