  1. I would imagine his deflect is more inline with Zoolander, given the image. That said, I cannot see any mechanical or fluff concerns that are not address in sheet. However his name is a concern, unless I am wrong, as it should be Noun [adjective] in Spanish. It's been awhile since high school. Upon personal review, just going to go with it, given it's source. Approved.
  2. "Honey, friends don't let friends have rave face. Gotta trust me." She grinned as she reached out to touch her ring and middle fingers of each hand to the corresponding temple of Judy's head, as she projected her image onto her, changing her hair just a little, keeping the length but add some subtle color, a bit of red that didn't really contrast against her skin too much. She kept the glow down, as she let it fall down and changing the shirt, darkening it to a heather grey, and adding a logo from a band, printed across the front of it. Wolves at the Gate, specifically. She pulled her hands away and looked at her work. "There, there. That works. Lincoln Youth Center, it happening there, Ash. I can't promise it will be good, but it should be loud and fast, and enough groove to move." She rocked back in her seat as she looked back at the road.
  3. "Probably wont like it," she agreed to her, but she wasn't trying to force the matter really. And then she gave her a sly smile as she said those things, "Well, like my bio-father drinks a lot on camera, but if you ever hear about him being drunk it's an act. He just can't. It might happen to me too, I dunno. It's kinda hard to say something, like no two people seem to follow the same rules for these things like, I got my powers a little before my sixteenth, but Mr. al-Mirsi got them when there was an accident around him when he was like forty. So this stuff doesn't make sense." She made a face as she laughed then as she saw the Dawg. "Cheesy Petes..." She made a strange face as she saw the dog themed front end and then she watched it change to a more traditional looking car. "I mean... it's an aesthetic. But, it's okay... hey, Judy, mind if I spice things up for you tonight? I mean the shirt, and your hair, just a little..." She pursed her lips as she looked at the girl, before looking at the inside of the car, "Okay, this is nicer than I thought it'd be, is it an Autobot? Or a Decepticon?"
  4. "My folks got me the car with the highest safety rating so... uh, I mean, I can change the spark plugs. But, four to six hours of dancing or tumbling plus school a day means I don't get to do everything I want." She waved a bit, and shrugged as she waited, clearly neither upset with Ash's demand, or waiting. "Don't worry about good, in fact stuff you aren't concerned about is best." She waited then patiently, before Judy came out in her simple attire, and she nodded a little bit to a beat she heard in her head and she smiled and whistled appraisingly. "Good, good, let's see this... Dawg." She smirked a bit, shaking her head at it, as she moved towards door, "Also, Ash is gonna need to dance too. Because we're having fun tonight!" She giggled a bit to herself, clearly giddy.
  5. "Please, I just hope I have no more growth spurts... the only common good thing about powers is that I can fix my clothes." The other stuff was cool, or good, but she really didn't overmuch think of it. She was casually thoughtless, frequently, but she also caught herself. She had kenned on her and Judy's friendship was predicated on the fact that neither loved their powers. Hands still on her hips, she smirked a little bit. "The Dawg?" She arched a brow as she looked between the sisters, amused by this. "I am going to have see this... I mean, I didn't expect Ash to let me drive my car, even if it is Volvo." She was amused by their reactions, both the snort from Ash, and then the silliness.
  6. Corinne shrugged, an elegant roll of her shoulders. "The trick will be getting into Hamilton but I think we can do it. I mean, if you want. You might get sick of me by then." She laughed a little to herself, as she raised her brows as she stretched her arms wide, and then settled back in her seat. She sighed and closed her eyes, "I guess I have it easy. The expectations direct at me are based on a womanizer who just has cash to throw around, and as the ability to take a hit. But... all the same, I have expectations for myself. And all of this can ruin those pretty easily. Even if everyone sees it as me being selfish."
  7. Corinne rolled her eyes at the over protective Ashley, but then it felt a little perfunctory. "Aw, c'mon, I have't had any... in like two weeks. But I didn't think either of you two would do it." She flashed a cheeky grin at Ash and skipped to her, making eye contact as she leaned towards the other girl, "I am going to miss you mom." Her lips twisted into that crooked smile and it was almost flirty, though hard to say as she did enjoy teasing. Straightening before turning to Judy, "Well, just some broken in jeans, or some shorts, a light t-shirt, and comfy sneakers. I am dancing in this, except maybe the hat." She shrugged a little and took her bowler off, and spun it between her hands.
  8. "Oooooor, you and Ash could got all Wise Donkey over the summer." Her lips tugged into a crooked smile, as hands balled up and rested knuckles on her hips, as she also dropped a deep cut from Baum. If there was ever any appraising of Judy's attire, it never showed on Corinne's face, of course a good portion of her attire was vintage, or thrift shop. Admittedly, she had a sartorial sense far outside of her peers. "I do read Judy," dropping one hand from her hips, she lightly gave Judy a check with a swing of her hips in a friendly manner. "We'd break curfew if we skipped up to New York tonight, buuuuut, I think I can get us into a show down here. I mean, Freedom City isn't a little place." She looked to Ashley, and she shook her head and clucked her tongue. "I dunno, I was thinking someplace loud, with fast, bad music, and we can dance. Or, I dunno... what do you feel?" She lifted her brows as she looked between Judy and Ash.
  9. "Hi Judy!" She caught the shorter girl in an embrace, and then let her go as she edged back, and she was allowed was in the dorm room. Corinne read the room, because she did try to do that, and she glanced about. She had a small smile on her face as she moved her arms back and slide her hands into her back pockets as she looked at her. "Hi Ash. Wizard, huh? Goin' Ruby or Silver?" She lifted her brows as she looked between them, her smile having changed to a big, cheesy grin. She noted the tinkering, but honestly, that wasn't the weirdest thing she had seen being worked on in a dorm here, and she couldn't really fault Ash for working on her gun. "Just wanted to see if you were doing anything, or if you wanted to. I mean, I am only going to NYC, and that's close, still, it's a bit of a thing."
  10. So, and I will try to be delicate: The gender fluid thing isn't addressed at all in the backstory, just from the mention in the baseball numbers. I can understand if you don't want to really disgorge a lot, or want to handle the topic delicately, but there should be something more than what's listed.
  11. If the Radio Sense is explicitly picking up Radiowaves, then that's the descriptor. That said, you will want to write it out in the Ultimate Power notation, fortunately, we have a version in the house rules: https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/start/house-rules/powers-r8/ If the above isn't tenable due to point cost, I say throw it into a Fear, or some Skills. Now, I do have some fluff concerns, but I want to address that after the crunch is handled.
  12. A couple days before Graduation. Claremont Dorms. It was almost over this national nightma- ha ha ha ha, I'm funny! Corinne thought to herself, or as much as one could in this place. Someone was probably listening, or something. She let her hair grow to an even chin length, blonde with a hint of faded pink throughout, but tucked under a bowler hat. She always looked a little different each time, and today she was a little bit late 80s, given the Pat Benatar t-shirt she had on that was cropped just a little above the high waist acid wash jeans, and a pair of calculatedly battered white sneakers. She moved through the hallway dancing, as she tended to do. Heading towards Judy's room, to sweep up her friend with a bit of her joy. Well her own happiness, she knew that others might not feel that way. Rapping knuckles on the door, she settled back into a running man with vigorous swinging of her arms backwards, keeping elbows tucked near her torso.
  13. Zenith looked at her, with that inscrutable, if somewhat b*****y expression. Which was her face, if anyone asked. Her arms pulled back, and step stepped back, folding them across her chest. "Fair warning, I've never done that, I don't know... how well it will work. My powers are more art than science. So, if you're able to dance and your hair turns colors... well..." She trailed off before Nicole was pushing herself to standing. Then came the snarl, as if Nicole couldn't escape her script, even if tried, wanted, or needed. She hummed to herself after that, watching clinically, like an alien observing it's first human encounter. Or something akin to that. She didn't need to throw any parting snark or shade. After all, she was right. She won.
  14. So, I've been hammering around the Time Travel thing as a power, and honestly: While not explicitly disallowed it is problematic as a power, and best served as a Stunt, or a narrative device, and realistically it technically allows the sidestepping of the plot, which we do not want. As such my recommendation is to have it as a power stunt the character can pull out, but for it to be explicitly off the sheet.
  15. I count 2 ranks/points in Benefit. You have 4 total there. Also, how does Radiation work as a descriptor for your Life Support?
  16. So Technology is one descriptor. Powers generally need 2. One for source, in this case, Technology/technological, but then there is the method/effect for each power.
  17. Rebound Power Level: 10 (on PL 12 Points, 180/180) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: +5 Attack/-5 Damage; +4 Defense/-4 Tough In Brief: Bouncing former sidekick out of time. Catchphrase: “Ya just keep hittin’ me, and I keep comin’ back.” Theme: “End Transmission,” by Fire From the Gods. Alternate Identity: Benjamin Franklin d’Amato; Benny, or B.F. (secret) Birthplace: Freedom City, NJ, USA Residence: Claremont School. Base of Operations: Claremont Occupation: Student, Adventurer Affiliations: Claremont, formerly Hepcat's sidekick on his world.. Family: None Description: DoB: 1948/2003 Apparent Age: Teens Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5’11 Weight: 271 Eyes: Murky Green Hair: Dirty Blonde/brown First thing’s first, Benny is a tank. Let’s get that straight. Barrel chested and thick limbed, and looking like the fat bully from most movies. His hair is generally in a crew cut, and he is starting to get the patchy sort of beard on his round face that a teenager would have. The smile comes easily to the jug eared guy, and he seems like pretty much an open book. His costume consists of a Letterman style jacket, over whatever costume he has on, sneakers, and a domino mask. Currently in the Claremont color scheme, much to his chagrin. History: Benny was born to a lower class family in the Fens, but that wasn’t important. It fell apart, and his mother lost track of the kid sometime after his dad died in the Korean War, and he was getting into trouble, or running from trouble. He was big, rough, and ready to scrap at a moment’s notice, even if he was losing a lot more often than his pride liked. Getting knocked down wasn’t something that bothered him, as he could just pick himself, and it was what caught the attention of a local ex-boxer, Mickey Barnes. Benny couldn’t tell you which time it was, but at some point the grizzled veteran pugilist took the kid under his wing; Mickey could tell you, though, it was when the kid ran a three card monty, and demonstrated a staggering hand speed that took the old man by surprise. Eventually he adopted the kid, and teaching him discipline, and fisticuffs in his furious and technical peek-a-boo style, aimed at leveraging his assets to take down bigger opponents that suited pugnacious Benny just fine. Mickey was also a hardass, but gave Benny structure and resources needed at time when it was likely he could go either way. And he flourished, showing a natural athleticism that belied his fire hydrant like stature, able to parlay it immediately to most other sports he tried his hands at. Though he loved boxing. But, that isn’t the ending the story gets, as one day leaving school Mickey had to shove the kid out of the way of a truck whose breaks had fail, with the driver trying to maintain control. In the ensuing accident Mickey was struck by vehicle, and the materials it carried, Fantasto-Plastics experimental polymer compound was dumped onto Benny. This left the older man hospitalized in a coma, and without any seeming effects on him. It also had the younger Benny spiraling towards depression, until… He couldn’t help himself, watching someone get mugged was just not something that Benny could handle. So he got involved, jumping into a fray with guys with weapons, and he didn’t think he stood a chance. It wasn’t until he was hit by a baseball bat that things changed. It sent him against a wall, only for him to bounce right back with him following through with slugging that jerk right in the kisser. This show coincided with Hepcat arriving on the scene, and for him to watch the boy rough up the rest of the muggers, shrugging off their efforts to beat him. In the aftermath he found himself under the tutelage of the other hero, and there was a brief bit of normalcy, even as his prior mentor was still in a coma. But it was a purpose, and he had to admit to he liked punching the baddies, and sticking up for the little guy. Even if he knew the reality wasn’t so simple, but there were enough super powered guys robbing banks, or trying to make T-Rex Nazis. It was a struggle balancing a sense of responsibility to Mickey, the free spirit Hepcat, and trying to do the school thing as this happened. Eventually that didn’t matter. The Terminus came to destroy everything. And there was no conflict in himself about punching them. Not that he understood them beyond just ‘These guys want to end everything,’ and he along with others rallied with the assorted black masks and white hats to push back. Because this was the Fens, and then Fens didn’t back down from nobody. Mickey was still in the hospital, after all. He couldn’t let him down. He couldn’t let Hepcat down. He couldn’t even let his mom down. He could save them. He was a Hero. That’s what drove him to shove Hepcat out of the way of some armored jerk’s energy blast that left a puff of ash and dust where him and an Omegadrone had been. Cut to present day, and the teen and the Omegadrone exploded out in the middle of the Fens in the aftermath of the newest Invasion. It was a dirty scuffle that was lost amid the other dirty scuffles of those days. Though it was not unnoticed, with AEGIS swooping in on it, and snapping up both into custody. That was when it all came crashing onto the kid. He wasn’t remembered, there was no record of him being Hepcat’s sidekick, no record of him. He never existed, or close enough to it. But here he was. Stuck, currently, as a ward of the local Catholic parrish, under Father Nogueira, himself a former AEGIS agent. Now… well, he had a new world, a fresh start. Sure he got dropped to the canvas, but he’d just get back up. Personality & Motivation: He is a good natured brawler. He loves to fight. Even he knows he can fix the problems with that, but he can stop people from punching down, even for a moment. Benny is the embodiment of Silver Age optimism, he is good natured and forthright. And he doesn’t give up. He doesn’t back down. It’s not what Mickey or Hepcat would have wanted. It led him to being cast adrift to this time, and he’d do it again, because he was never in this for the fame, or the glory. Powers & Tactics: Hands up, protect his chin, get in and mix it up. He uses his boxing to put the baddies on their back for the 10 count. Using his other powers to reposition himself, or spin blows into something advantageous, he strives to be a pure pressure fighter. Power Descriptions: Whether it was the weirdness of the time he was out of time, but on his return he isn’t just a ‘regular boxer’ with powers, after all who knows how long he was punching that Omega Drone, no, he is one of the best boxers on the planet now, regardless of what he is punching. Though his major power is that he might as well be made of some sort of super plastic, able to shrug off any impact. There is no real sign that anything happened, though he seems able to use any hit to bounce around like a mad pinball. Complications: Secret ID: The public doesn’t know who he really is. Not that they currently care, but he does try to hide it. Gains an HP when he has preserve that secret. Everyone Deserves A Second Chance: The character believes in everyone's better nature, even if it would be more prudent to be wary. Earns an HP when he gives someone the benefit of the doubt when he probably shouldn’t. I Can Do This All Day: He wont stop, even when he probably should. Gains an HP in those when his resolve is probably a bit too much, and he should retreat. Let’s Go, Pal: Willing to dust up with the bad guys, anytime, anywhere. And if he sees bullies, or their ilk, he will throw down, even when he shouldn’t. HP when he gets into a fight that is probably avoidable. 18. There is a lot to unpack here, but this, as it stands, is simply not going to work here. Before we go anywhere, I don't believe you've even remotely read our Getting Started guide, found here: https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/start/ The formatting isn't even remotely approaching our standardization. Please consult our template: https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/start/playguide_35/character-sheet-template-r3/ or use existing, approved characters as a resource for such, or the sample characters, found here: https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/start/sample-characters/ (should be noted that other PCs as a formatting guise is wise, do not use them as examples of 'well they were approved.') The second, and equal footing to the first point is that this character leans hard into long standing racial stereotypes and, I'll be frank "Asian lore" as a thing attached to a skill check is not something we want to see on the ref team. It is concerning to see, and we strongly recommend that this sheet is modified. If you are having a hard time restructuring the RefTeam, and the Guide staff are happy to help, but it might be best served joining our Discord, or to have a back and forth dialogue on PMs. As such I am moving this to the Character Building forum.

  20. I got two active in FC, or FC area. Asad or Zenith.
  21. "I don't need to prove to you Nicole. I never have. That's how I win. I don't wake up and look in the mirror and see your face, so I just have to meet my eyes." And she started to wrench her right hand free, then stopped, and she smiled, "No... with my left hand I destroy." And she slipped her left hand out, before her form shimmered, as her power exploded out, scattering bright white light around her, and it was almost enough for Nicole to feel it. "Since you asked so bitchily." Came the beautifully cacophonous voice of Zenith as she then dove her hand into Nicole, though not in the way it should be, as Corinne just reached into her, past her physical form and into something. "With my left hand I destroy... your excuses." For her there was patterns, and... the world wasn't viewed precisely the same way. Despite the protest of the Headmistress during the aftermath of the Krampus, Zenith never made a mistake in her restoration of the world around. What she made could be as flawlessly real, as right, as what she wanted it to be. This was something she hadn't done, but she could feel the flaw in Nicole, the damage and the wasting that stemmed from it, and then that power filled the other student, and she could feel directly how depthless, how chaotic it was, and the light was pouring out of Nicole's eyes, and mouth. It was over as suddenly as it had started, with Zenith perched on the edge of the counselor's desk, one long leg crossed over the other, and idly bouncing as she tilted her head, and watched Nicole with the curiosity of cat watching a mouse.
  22. "I'll be in New York, which isn't precisely far away. And there are video calls, and all of that. Maybe an actual date here and there, we can go to Pride, whatever works for you." She let her hand rest on one of Monica's as she rocked back in her seat as she looked at her. Corinne's expression was bemused at this, because, well... it simply wasn't something she had expected. She had avoided relationships until right up the end of high school. Of course the one she chose was... well, complicated. She had resigned herself to not being able to get out of this world. But she could try to move into her own corner of it all.
  23. "You're right, I do win Nicole. All the damned time, and it's exhausting, because I put in the work. That's why the stupid dancer was in AP classes. And the funniest part? The f***ing funniest part Nicole? All that labeling of how I am a bitch, well darling, honeypie, I never really have been. I can demonstrate, if you'd like?" She leaned in closer, making it more intimate, and in some level even more devastating. She was a Queen B, after all. She came from that performance arts background, if she was a good dancer, she was just flat out godlike in her ability to rip people apart, "You know what the worst thing I do to you is? Right now? It's not calling you names, or tearing you down. No, it would be to fix you, right here, right now. Fix you so you don't need this chair, so you wouldn't have this to hide behind, and you'd still be miserable. You'd find something else to hide behind, to blame for your failings on." She pulled back and looked back into Nicole's eyes, "Maybe you should leave to actually move forward, before all that bitterness and that toxic pit in you just eats you up, and me, or some other hero throws you into Blackstone, when you snap."
