  1. Victory, already in between Harrier and the two individuals he is not familiar with, gives Harrier a nod at his greetings. "Same to you. But we'll have to catch up later." His voice was hushed and he spoke quickly, knowing it'll take more than just acknowledgement to calm this situation. He turns back to the other two, and raises his hand to them, trying to play peacemaker. He notices that the silver one seemed more understanding, so he focused his efforts on this hostile "Scholar". "The Omegadrones have destroyed a great many worlds, to be sure. I do not know your familiarity with my world, but we had been invaded by the Terminus forces in the past, as well, and were only able to repel them after a great many sacrifices....including that of our world's greatest hero. But..." Victory's hand flashed for a moment, and from his palm showed a hologram of the AEGIS logo, with his registration information beneath it, as his own personal badge. "...this particular one is of no threat to you." His badge flickers a bit, due to being out of his normal range, but his internal power source keeps it up. "Perhaps I should introduce myself. I am Victory, rank Major, special liaison, peacekeeper, and Enforcer of Metahuman Activity, of the American Elite Government Intervention Service. And this refugee is under my protection. If you would harm him, you'd have to deal with me first. And right now, we have far more immediate, pressing concerns. Like finding out where we are, why, and how to leave."
  2. His usual night patrol going as quietly as it often is (at this point, most petty criminals know that they'd be seen more often than not if they tried anything out at night if Victory's on patrol), Victory's sensors suddenly start to blare at him. The silver hero stops in his tracks mid-flight, trying to backpedal, his gauges showing the telltale signs of an unwanted warp signature. It is to no avail, though, as before he can get anywhere, he finds himself suddenly falling through the air, his jets having been cut out on him as a purple flash envelops his vision and clears out once again. "Oh crap, not again!" Having been caught mid-flight in unwilling teleportation once before, Victory was able to gather his senses at least a bit. He thinks fast, instinctively trying to cut in his jets. It only works so well, however, as his fall is simply slowed. That said, he was still descending very, very quickly, his attempts at changing direction hindered by some manner of unseen force. He was heading down, whether he wanted to or not. He could only be sure to brace himself, the jets softening his landing as the AEGIS super-soldier lands with a heavy sound in the land below. He looks up after his landing, to find the sight of an Omegadrone facing off with two strange creatures. While others would immediately react with either fear or violence to the sight of a Drone, Victory's profile storage told him exactly what he was hoping. This was Harrier. As for the others....he wasn't too sure. From some last glimpses he had before their current forms, he could see they were some manner of shapeshifters. Which means they were intelligent. And hostile towards the Omegadrone, as most would be. With so little information about where he is or why, he knew a fight starting would only make things worse. Quicky he blasts forward, finding that although his flight didn't work as well as he'd hoped, he was still extremely fast. Before the others could even see his movement, Victory was between them all, letting his jets flare in an attempt to get all eyes on him. "STOP!"
  3. (23:43:05) System: JackgarPrime rolls 1d20 and gets (12)+9=21. And that's a pass!
  4. I'd like to roll, but what happened to Invisible Castle? And what are we using for now?
  5. Simple one for now +1 Attack +1 Will That should be 3 points? Yup. - Trollthumper
  6. *Mic tap* HELLOOOOO! We're back on the air, LIIIIVE from the Terminus! I know you kiddies have missed your ol' DJ Jackgar Prime, and he's missed you all, too!
  7. GM Live From The Jaws of Oblivion! Victory The Hunted!
  8. GM As the rescue squad makes the jump, the entire world seems to swirl around them. The colors of their own space blink out, washed away in a torrent of sickening orange light. The change comes quickly, but is disorienting all the same, the feel of their very subconscious being hit with a pulse of energy, only to be gone as soon as they'd feel it. As the feeling passes, they'd find themselves staring out of the cockpit into a scene of utter desolation. A sky of that same horrible orange they could nearly taste on their way in filled the sky. The skyline in the distance visibly crumbling in large chunks even as they look at it. The immediate surroundings, as far as they were aware, seemed to be blasted rock, scorched through, with traces of a very familiar-looking energy noticeable even from their seats. A bolt of red light flashes beyond the ruined scape, as though a lightning bolt. This must be the place.
  9. Possession, eh? Curses, I was hoping it was just going to be a Fear effect! (Fearless, yo.) Here goes: Will Save (1d20+7=23) Phew! Victory's not the best at Saving Throws, so I got worried.
  10. The situation was still a swarm of chaos, but with at least one member of the criminals momentarily down, Victory's able to get a grip on exactly what's going on. Looking over the melee, he picks his target. Locking on to the sight of the so-called Last Loyal Soldier, a name he would take as a personal insult if he knew of it, Victory blasts forward, crossing the room in a blink of an eye. Before the villain can even turn his head, a powerful metal fist collides with his skull, launching him clear out of the building. With one enemy gone, Victory turns his sights to the newly-appeared ghostly foe. It looked likely to be their leader, so taking him out immediately could end this in no time. Once more he blasts his engines, making a tear for this new enemy....only for his fist to go right through it, sending him up to the ceiling, only barely able to stop before crashing through it. He turns back to the Ghost, clenching his teeth. "Damn...." Several blocks away, the body of the Last Loyal Soldier comes crashing down, landing right in an open-topped AEGIS paddy wagon.
  11. He's the only one that is in a logical place that Victory would try to hit. He'll go for it, but I assume he'll just whiff no matter what, even with the heat coming off the inside jets?
  12. I'm assuming Ghost of the Confederacy is incorporeal? And therefore I couldn't really just smack him next?
  13. How about out of the building, right into a waiting AEGIS containment vehicle? Also, are any of the other villains within range for Takedown Attack?
  14. That sounds fine to me. Since Zippy's out of the immediate area, Victory takes the moment to try and help out the others. I guess Last Loyal Soldier is being a problem? He'll Charge that fellow. Power, All-Out as usual. All-Out Power Charge (1d20+9=26) I'm guessing that's a hit?
  15. Excellent. Can I get an idea of the positioning everyone's in right now? I'm probably going to finish off the tweaker while he's easy pickings, but I'd like to see where everyone stands at the moment, first. There may be something more pressing that needs my attention in the fight.
  16. Victory's transmission cut off as he heard a commotion going on behind him. With a whole group (possibly a family, he thinks) of criminals barge their way in, and, for some, reveal themselves, Victory wouldn't have to play the "subtle pursuit" angle much longer. He would still have to be careful of civilians, though. They'd have to find a way to get out without any getting hurt by these would-be robbers. Victory's thoughts, as well as his analysis program, were cut off as he was alerted to an incoming threat. He's able to turn just in time to get a metal arm up, blowing the incoming blows. Unfortunately, it was still able to tear the suit up a bit. On the plus side, it seemed his quarry decided to just be up-front. Just how he likes it. Victory's head quickly becomes encased in the metal that makes up his helmet, as he stares a hole through the strange man. "You should've stayed cloaked." The criminal gets ready to duck out of the way of an incoming hit, but by the time his eyes could even register that Victory had moved, the steel hero was already right in front of his face, nose-to-nose. "Too slow." The next thing he knew, the scraggly fellow would feel a heavy metal glow crash against his face, sending him flying all the way back through the kitchen doors he tried to hide behind. Not wanting to let up an advantage, Victory's boosters tear out of the back of his suit and gear up. But as he started igniting, his sensors once more warned him of an incoming danger. Turning to face it, Victory gets his arms up across his face, the energy washing harmlessly over him, but burning away the rest of his suit, leaving the hero with his metal and flesh. The last of which is covered as his strange alloy covers his arm and chest up for battle.
  17. Phew. Good thing I decided to re-roll! Toughness (1d20+10=25)
  18. Oh, I neglected to re-check the DC. I thought I needed 25 to hit. Can I take back the HP burns, then? Here's the check.... Toughness (1d20+10=12) Bleh, that's not good. Since I didn't need to actually use the HP before, can I use one to re-roll this and have 2 left over?
  19. Well, little Zippy here's askin' for it, so time for the good ol'.... All-Out Power Charge (1d20+9=21) Hmmm....that's not going to be enough, is it? Let's burn HP and try again! All-Out Power Charge 2 (1d20+9=11) Well that was a free HP anyway, so third time's the charm.... All-Out Power Charge 3 (1d20+9=29) AND IT SURE IS! That's a crit! DC 39 Toughness.
  20. Rav, did that werewolf actually get just out of Victory's immediate range after the attack, even though he did seem to whiff it? If so, how far back did he actually jump? Because if it's at least 10, there's gonna be some fun.
  21. That...was a problem. Whatever had sent that, it meant this wasn't going to end up as peacefully as he had thought. Checking his internal recording software, Victory spoke very quietly under his breath, taking a few steps to the side, so as to not be in the middle of a throng of people. Opening his communication channel, he sends a link back to his base. "Home, do you copy? I just had some weird phenomena recorded. Did you guys see it,too? It should start with some really out-of-place static. And if it wasn't just me...send some crowd management over here, quick. We're going to need a team to get these people to safety..."
