  1. Gabriel's last few words have to fight through an intense crackling, static sounds, as all sounds at that elevation got quickly drowned out by the roar of a distant engine. If he were to look up, there would be the sight of the air itself warping in the sky, as though it was an object shooting through water. He wouldn't see it for long, however, as the blue-silver streak inside of it closes distance with Gabriel in the blink of an eye. Behind it, another loud boom is heard, as the sound barrier breaks in the trail. But for as fast as it is, the figure stops on a dime, as Victory stands in the air, floating in front of Gabriel, his visor down to cover his eyes, and a serious scowl on his face. "Come with me. We're going to have a little walk-and-talk."
  2. I might actually be interested in something a little more light-hearted, but just because I haven't gotten to do anything like that in some time.
  3. I thought I had reported a post in the thread, but it seemed my post wasn't there? I usually post IMMEDIATELY as soon as it goes through. I should've gotten credit for viewtopic.php?f=60&t=6633&start=40#p158399
  4. Hey, I had a post in December, and thought I had posted it here viewtopic.php?f=60&t=6633&start=40#p158399 I could've sworn I posted it up.
  5. I could stand to punch some space pirates. AEGIS could just consider it a test for performance in low gravity, with the bonus of being an act of goodwill towards our galactic neighbors!
  6. So what will be happening now? something, I hope?
  7. One of the things I've been wanting to do with Victory is to expand to space. I've had a space-type power setup in my head for awhile, and he's at least left the planet a few times.
  8. Victory looks down at Silver Spider after she touched his shoulder and smirks. "It's possible, I suppose. But if it is, you'll probably never hear about it. The actual construction of my body is a secret of national importance. Even I don't know the entirety of it, or what some of my core components are or how they work. I suppose it's better that way. If it's not all in my head, then there's less risk of all the tech being stolen or copied in the event I get captured. There's some serious black box stuff in here, that I don't think you'd be able to copy even by having the original." Returning his attention to the more pressing matter at hand, Victory nods to the General. "Well our help is one thing you already have, so that's one less issue to worry about, yes? I think we're all in agreement on that end." Listening again, Victory strokes his chin. "A communications device would indeed be helpful, if the previous forces were careful enough not to destroy it. If we can use that to trace the signal and pinpoint it, I could rush over and at least get a good eye on what we're really looking at here."
  9. Victory had let the little compliments go without a comment, just a small smirk. But he's all business otherwise. His recording systems have been live, taking down as many of the maps and charts as he can get a glance at to try and chart potential routes, should he be needed in several places at once. While he wasn't entirely unfamiliar with the Latin language, it had been many years since he's actually learned it, so the translation was definitely appreciated. Looking down at Ironclad, Victory nods. "Looks like we have been drafted, indeed. But there are worse things. And besides, things get easier to keep in order when there's someone at the helm. Especially if they're able to take an eye over the battlefield as a whole. I know I owe much to my own mission control." As Victory looks over the charts and maps, he addresses their hosts. "What sort of equipment do your men have? If we'll be fighting alongside your forces, we need to know what they're capable of, as well. And in addition, I have one other condition for providing assistance if it's going to be in a formal manner. When in the field, if I or one of my compatriots believe a change in tactics is required, we're allowed to make that call. I have formal military training and experience, and they've all had their share of battles. We have the experience necessary to make those calls."
  10. After they come through, Victory opens up a hatch on his arm, hitting a few keys. A quick scan of the area goes about, taking some images of the area on the other side of the portal. A little souvenir, as it were. He leaves the record-taking program running throughout his time here. He'll be able to make use of this, to be sure. But he keeps it in stealth mode, so it isn't making any more glow. At being introduced to the General, Victory introduces himself with a salute. "General, sir. Lance Factor, rank Major. I hope our collaboration on this mission will be fruitful for both sides. I think if we find there is a good level of cooperation, our worlds may be able to rely on each other in the future."
  11. With everyone gathered together, Victory nods, as they prepare to cross through. He stays at the end, however, keeping his eyes on everyone. Especially their guest. He's never been the paranoid kind, but he is very cautious. Before they all are finally gone, Victory fiddles with something in his helmet. Quietly, he whispers into the receiver attached, making sure the connection was still good. This could be a good learning experience.
  12. While everyone was either back at or on their way to the meeting spot, they would be interrupted by the thunderous sound of a sonic boom occurring above them! But even as that hits, already making touchdown is Victory, his jets visible before being turned off in a cloud of dirt and dust. As it clears, he can be seen knocking the dust off of his chasis. "Welp, looks like I had a little time to spare after all. Not everyone here yet?" In truth, Victory thought he'd end up being a bit late. Back at HQ, his superiors at AEGIS were made aware of the multiversal situation, and they had an impromptu strategy meeting. Most important of all, even above saving those already being attacked: Make absolutely sure this army will not try to invade this Earth. Saving other worlds is important, but home has to come first...
  13. Victory hmph's at the proposal of Ironclad making the translation devices. Not because he thinks it's a bad idea, but more because this would've been the perfect time for him to try out the translation software the team was working on...if it was finished yet! What was taking them so long? While he was thinking, Wave-Eye's compliment caught him momentarily off-guard. "Oh, this? Well...technically it's not a suit of armor. At least alot of it isn't." He pats the still flesh and blood arm, which has the attachment over it. "This, most of my torso, and my helmet are separate pieces, but the rest is all my body. I'm what we call a cyborg. A certain government agency made it for me and maintains it. Here..." He holds his palm up, and what looks like a business card with a small button on it dispenses from his wrist into his hand. "Give this a watch sometime. It'll tell you all about me." The conversation goes back to their actual next steps, and Victory nods after Ironclad speaks. "I agree. There is simply too much we're asked to just take at face value, or assume. Plus I think having those devices would be a great boon. I'll also need to speak with my superiors about this. If there is indeed an alternate dimension that's trying to invade different worlds, AEGIS must know about it. Not that it would be the first time."
  14. From his perch, Victory could make out what the group were discussing, and the reveal of what it may very well be that was actually invading their....guest's world got Victory especially interested. He flew on down, a small engine roar accompanying his rapid approach. He touched down a few feet from the others, so the gust from his landing didn't blow grass in their faces. He takes a few heavy steps forward and speaks, looking at the projection. "Nazis. I hate these guys." Victory turns to the otherdimensional guest, and puts on his most official-looking serious face. "Pardon my eavesdropping, but it sounds like you've got an issue with a world overrun by a whole army of them. If it's what I think, I suppose the many worlds theory would posit there is a universe where they won the war...I guess the Fuhrer wouldn't be content with just one world. But why do you search in our world?"
  15. A ripped-open portal. Never a good start to any encounter. Up in the sky, Victory had stopped his laps around the city to observe this apparent visitor. He stayed far up in the sky, where all that could be seen of him was the flash of light from his jets. He turned on his range-increasing vision and hearing, trying to pick up the conversation. The dialect was unusual, but not altogether alien. He tries to relay it back to HQ. "Hey, you guys understand any of this? It kinda sounds like an Earth language, but something's odd about it." As he zoomed in abit more, Victory couldn't help but notice the odd thematic nature of her uniform. He almost could swear he made doodles like that back in high school. He observes for now, but is ready to jump in at a moment's notice.
  16. I was THIS close to making a Redd Foxx joke, I tell ya...
  17. V-BOOSTED by GIZMO I don't currently have the statblock on here, so if someone could PM me Victory's after the edits, that would be fantastic. Anyway, changes: Add 1 rank to the V Booster Array, making it now 38pp cost, and bump each of the included powers 1 rank, Making Flight 16 (1 million MPH), Super Strength 16 (17 total), And Strike 13. (2pp) Add 1 rank to Protection (Impervious), making it Protection 2 (Impervious), raising my Toughness to 13 (2pp) Add 1 to basic Attack (2pp) And bump Vulnerability (Magnetism) down to Minor, taking 1pp That should use up all 7 I have stashed. Tell me if I miscalculated anything. V-BOOSTED by GIZMO
  18. So, looks like I'll be joining in here!
  19. If it's not too late, I'd love to throw Victory's hat in for one of them. Especially if it's the Nazi one. A mega-patriotic soldier like Victory would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to smash some Nazis!
  20. I think it might make some sense to have an actual soldier like Victory come by to show off a bit of basic CQC, and what military maneuvers he is allowed to show civilians. Also, having someone with his kind of well known status would be sure to bring in new students from putting his face on the ads! Sure, in battle he mostly just uses his strength nowadays, but that's just because he can afford to now! And by the way, although Victory and the Espadas don't know each other civilian-wise, they have met in their super hero identities, so maybe Jack could ask Victory to do a favor for a "friend" of his. Although there is always a chance Victory might know high profile Supers' real identities anyway, considering who he is...
