  1. The landing itself went fine, but Victory wanted to be absolutely sure that they wouldn't be flying off at any point. Checking the level of their landing spot, he figures that there's no way they're going to get more than what they have, after Push cleared it out the best he could. And it was quite clear, he had to admit. "Alright, I think we'll be good here. We should have enough room to get out without falling all over the rocks, to." He flicks a few switches, and holds down on one particular lever for a few seconds. A whirring could be heard from another part of the ship, and stops with some clanking and a big thud. Turning back to the others, he dusts his hands off. "Well then, we should be good. Who wants to go double-check the anchor and make sure it's good and in there? As a bonus, you get to be the first one to step foot on this rock."
  2. Victory Tanks for Nuthin'! The Heroes are NEAR The Angel of Victory
  3. Blueshift's accusing tone caught Victory a bit off-guard. Turning to her, he raises an eyebrow in slight confusion. Not sure why she was going on like this, he thinks about the way he worded that, and figures where the slight miscommunication came from. "No, no, no, you misinterpereted me. I mean how you did with the test proper. The drone tanks. Believe me, this whole Otaku thing was most certainly not part of today's agenda. If it were, I wouldn't have joined in to help, since it would've negated the whole point of such a trial." Thinking she'd hopefully get the message, he turned to Ironclad and Fenris, nodding to them both, but addressing Ironclad first. "When R&D is finished getting what we can out of that...toy...we'll send the data on over to the Lab. We won't be able to send you the actual parts, but we'll show you what we may have found out." His glance moves to Fenris. "I'd appreciate it. I don't have your information on file. Although that does make me curious about how the testers got you here in the first place..."
  4. When the operation was finished, Victory carefully starts to get up, being careful not to move too fast in his slightly-numbed state. The fact that he wasn't exactly sure how the used parts were going to affect his overall performance certainly made his wary of trying to move too broadly, as well. But he stood, with a smile on his face, seeing that the patch-up worked out just fine. Even if it was an android replica, he was still getting the chance to speak with the Patriot himself! And being thanked by him, at that! He did his best to keep his professional face on, but his smile was just a bit more broad that he was trying for. Even now, it's hard for him not to be a little giddy at such times. "Think nothing of it, sir. All I did was be a box of parts, after all. And really, what's a few scraps of metal compared with helping the Patriot get back on his feet?" Victory puts his right hand, the flesh-and-blood one, out, to have a chance to shake hands with one of the heroes he's always hoped he'd get a chance to meet. Even in android form.
  5. Among Otaku's ranting and raving, and after Blueshift gives him a scolding, Victory moves in a flash next to the restrained villain. "Nap time." He lightly (or what seems to be light, at least) flicks the back of Otaku's head, enough force to knock a normal human out without causing any serious damage. It's a trick he's gotten good at balancing by now, since so many of his perps are normal people in suits. He dusts his hands and nods, seemingly satisfied. "I think we all took care of this well enough. And I think we've gotten some good data from this whole business." He listens for a bit, expecting to hear the armored vehicles to come by any time now. "Well, a crew will be here to ship him off. Once they get here, what say we get back to the testing grounds and see how you all did?"
  6. In the moments it took for Ironclad to pull Otaku out of the car, a sickening sound of twisting metal, with pops and small explosions could be heard behind him. Or at least, he would've heard it if he wasn't busy getting put in a hammerlock. While he tries to resist, his thrashing may allow him to catch a glimpse of Victory standing in front of the car, a balled up hunt of metal in his hands, and his "toy" nowhere to be seen. Victory lightly tosses it up in his hand a couple times, then he stops, speaking into his comm. "You guys at those coordinates exactly? .... Okay, good. Here it coooomes...." He drops the "ball", and its met with a massive punt, knocking the robot's remains clear into the horizon. Victory waits a moment, then hears a bit of cheering, and grins, throwing up the "touchdown" sign. One last rub in Otaku's face, to be sure. "And make sure those recovery vehicles are on the way to my location. The brat's not going anywhere."
  7. Yeah, she's not getting any more done for than that.
  8. Gotcha All Out Power Charge (1d20+11=28) That's a hit, right? As a Power Attack, that's DC 37.
  9. Whooo! Also, does it count as flat-footed if you yourself are attacked while driving a vehicle? Like you're in the driver's seat, and someone punches you in the head?
  10. Holy cow, I didn't even realize there was an OOC thread!
  11. All right then. Would we be able to label this a Charge, or is he too close?
  12. I don't mind if the refs don't. By the way, can Victory fly through the rear windshield and tackle whats-her-face out through the front one?
  13. Can I get a quick summary of where everyone's at? Including the villains?
  14. As outlandish as their new surroundings were, Victory was in work mode. He'd have to wonder about the nature of these creatures after they've dealt with the problem at hand. That said, he did have to double take for a moment. And while space was still a bit of a wonder to him, he's been trying to become as acclimated to the sight as he can. It's tough, to be sure, as it was something you're used to looking up at, not down from. He took a few steps forward, taking a look (and as thorough a scan as he can on the aliens, to see if there's anything he can discern about them for sure), but stops when he noticed others weren't following. Looking back, he sees Blueshift on the verge of a breakdown, and Ironclad trying to help. He moved back to them, and placed his heavy hands on each of their shoulders, looking down at Blueshift. His hand, the fingers moving very slightly, made a noticeable whirring noise this close to their ears. Not loud and painful, just a quiet hum. "Hear that? White noise. Keep that in your mind. Just let it keep you anchored. It's a trick I use sometimes when the sky is coming too fast."
  15. Victory Initiative (1d20+9=21) Another one for the good guys!
  16. The car would be lucky to get any further, however. Adjusting his course so that he would be able to get a clear shot at the car without blowing away any of the others near it, Victory made his move. The car stops very suddenly, as its entire momentum was stopped in a flash. Behind the car, Victory stood, feet firmly planted, actually seeming to have dug a bit into the ground. The vehicle had been lifted a bit up from the ground, as well, so it wouldn't be able to get any momentum. With a firm grip on the car, Victory speaks into his comm. "I got 'em stopped. We're a quarter mile from the hotel." Switching from the comm to normal speech, he shouts loud enough to be heard inside the car. "Last chance, brat! Surrender, and you might still be tried as a minor. Maybe."
  17. A few of his parts were needed for the procedure, and, true to his word, he allowed them to be taken out. Fortunately, they weren't too necessary for his systems, but he wanted to be sure there would be someone on hand taking full inventory of every part used, so they would replace the parts as soon as possible. He just had them fixed, after all! However, taking them right out would be rather painful, since the proper device to remove him completely from the chasis had already been put away back to its normal location. He would be put under for the operation, as otherwise it would feel to him like his parts were being ripped right from his nervous system...
  18. Then if he switches to Flight 10/SuperStrength 5, that'll bump him up to ES 30 exactly. Would it matter at all if he goes higher?
  19. Just heads up that I'll post IC once I work out the catching bit.
  20. Earlier, when Blueshift had mentioned that the system was complaining about the distance to the asteroids. "Yup, pretty close. I had to shut it up. It was either fly close, or fly into. Seems like an obvious choice." As they got to the big hunk of what may very well be crystal, Victory's hand started going at a computer to the side of the controls, keeping one hand on the control itself. "Yeah, just doing some quick trajectory calculation. We should be able to get on the thing alright. Just make sure you're good and strapped in. It might get a bit bumpy." While he was doing the final adjustments, he smirked and spoke to Push. "I'd say it'd be better if you do take what you can. This thing doesn't look like any ice I've ever seen. I'm sure there'd be something to find in there when we're done getting rid of the rock itself." As he finished with that, he grabbed on securely to the controls, as the ship lurched forward, and it began to turn to try and match the calculated angle necessary to land.
  21. So, might as well stop the car before it gets away. There's no way it's far enough that he can't reach it in a move action. When he gets there, I want to grab the car and keep it from getting away. I'll probably have to switch my array to do it. how much Effective Strength does he need? And do I have to roll anything else?
  22. Miss A's comment regarding some government heroes made Victory sigh, shaking his head. "I wish I could say you were completely wrong." He waited for this...Agent Irons...to respond, before he gave the word. the fact that this was essentially the last remnant of a personal role model of his certainly affected his judgement, if but for a moment. But he wasn't about to refuse, anyway. He just wanted answers. "Go ahead. Do whatever you need to do, Miss A." Even though he had already run a few tests on himself in the last couple hours, he did one last emergency check, to make sure his own parts were in order and working right. "Make sure we have any spares we need handy. If we're lacking anything..." A deep breath, and a momentary squeeze of his fist. "...Extract it from my chasis. I won't die if pieces are removed, so if it's needed to save him, I see no reason not to give."
  23. At first, Victory was too distracted by the "wound" itself, but when Miss Americana pointed out who it was, Victory's eyes shot to the "patient"'s face. It took a few moments to recognize, but once he saw the face, he made sure to run cross-references over and over, to be absolutely sure he was seeing what he thought he was seeing. When he confirmed that the face was, indeed, what he thought it was, Victory glares a hole right through the agent who brought him in. "You will explain this. Now." Victory quickly shifted his glance to Miss A and nodded, as if to say "go ahead", but then turned back to the agent, awaiting his explanation.
