  1. Cut off the head, and the body dies. Or at least that's what he was taught. Almost the moment the hunters landed, Victory's eyes went right up to their ship. Whatever orders they were following, or contact they were making, were like coming through there. As Wraith and Scholar engaged the grounded foes, Victory combines his own approach with Harrier's attack, the bolt of energy serving as not only a powerful blow in and of itself, but a great cover, as Victory flew right behind it. Right after the bolt of energy hit, a second impact rocked the ship, as Victory's powerful fist blew right up into the underside, landing sqaure on the already-damaged location that Harrier had impacted. But after the shockwave of his punch faded, Victory could hear those transmissions coming from his own body again. They almost seemed like.... "A...sports announcer?"
  2. Sorry about that, man. RL has left me either too busy or too drained for much of this. Hence why I'm active so little now Anyway, the usual drill with All-Out Power Attacks on his Strike power, with +2 for a charge on it... All-Out Power Charge! (1d20+14=25) I hope I added it correctly....
  3. Bumping to see if Asad is still around?
  4. Ah, well. He's going to try it either way. They don't actually know for sure if there's an invisible ceiling or not, it's just a hunch based on their landing, right? He's going to fly up and then switch to the Strike array when in range. Should I actually roll, or is he stopped?
  5. That ship is still up there, right? Just how high up? I'm curious if Victory will be able to get high enough under their restricted conditions.
  6. With only a single foe left to go, Victory came to an unfortunate conclusion as he saw the nature of this phantom. He has no means of attacking such an opponent. Wildly trying to swing at nothing would probably cause more harm than good, considering how much damage even a single whiffed punch of his could cause. But as he looked about for another option in terms of trying to harm this thing, he realized something even more important. There are still innocents in the building! He did exactly what he was trained to do. Civilians come first, before anything. Without a word, he quickly went to work, zipping through the room and picking up any and all of the party goers, bringing them outside to medical teams that had shown up with the rest of the emergency crews outside. The people looked confused as they were inside one moment, then outside the next, but at the same time seemed very relieved to not be in there anymore.
  7. Initiative (1d20+9=12) Well at least I still go ahead of the Lor....
  8. What would I have to do for saving as many as possible, turns and HP wise?
  9. Have all the civilians escaped yet? There's not much victory can do to a ghost, and I think the other villains have all been beaten...
  10. So...that puts me up next now?
  11. "I probably wouldn't be able to sleep here if I wanted. It gets...difficult with all the whirring if I have to keep the gear on. And I'm not about to remove it in a place like this." After that huge exhaust, Victory's voice had a tinny value to it, which starts to very slowly normalize itself as he speaks. His jets, if any are behind him, are blowing red at the edges from the sudden blast of heat. He takes a few steps in the direction that they were planning to head, and a close eye would see the ground singe in his footprints. "I think we should all be fine, vision-wise. I mainly see in terms of heat. Although...we don't know very well what's hiding in here." The comments about burning the forest down and "ruining the ecosystem" don't get a rise out of Victory, but he does have to at least address the accusations. "Something tells me this place may not be meant to be here in the first place. I wouldn't be surprised if burning it down does more good than harm. But hopefully, none of this will come to something that drastic."
  12. Sorry about that taking so long, guys. I got real busy the last couple weeks and could only briefly hop on. Plus it wasn't something I normally do, mechanics-wise.
  13. It isn't long before the group of heroes already starts to get overwhelmed by the swarm, trying in vain to swat them all away. Victory, being the one who first broke through, curses his tremendous weight while trying to have the group stay low-profile. It's very easy to set off traps like this when you weigh nearly half-a-ton. While his quick hands manage to get quite a few of the insects, trying to keep going like this would be in vain. However, he gets an idea. As he's trying to swat the bugs away, deploying his metal mask to keep them from getting near what little exposed flesh he has, Victory feels some of the bugs trying to crawl into his vents. Unfortunately for them, that's just about the most dangerous place on any planet! Victory thinks fast, curling himself up, aiming all of his vents upward, before releasing a tremendous blast of heat from them, all right up into the air and more intense than a jet plane, and hopefully away from the others trying to survive.
  14. Sorry, man. Things have been busy as of late. So I'm doing a rank 12 Blast? Are they roll to hit? Or are they automatically caught? I've never used an area move before.
  15. I'll add in Action Full. Will it still be in range if I can't move first?
  16. So, since I'm PL 12, the biggest I can make is Area Blast 12, it can be Selective by me just saying he's pointing all his jets at the main body of the swarm, make it Fire....would that be taking my whole array? It's a 31 pp Array to start with. I'm just wanting to work out exactly what I'm using here.
  17. Hmmmm. Since it's a swarm of bugs, the best way to deal with it would be...fire? Would I be able to burn an HP to make an area blast to try and catch as many of the bugs as I can? If so, how would I go about it?
  18. So...this is a mass of bugs....if I tried to punch something with an Insubstantial like that, I'd probably just look silly as m hand swats a couple but does no real damage to the swarm, right?
  19. AEGIS would be ASHAMED if their super-secret special alloy got damage by some bugs! Toughness (1d20+12=26) See? Initivative (1d20+9=25) At least some of his sensors still apparently work.
  20. Bleh, it might end up being me Survival (1d20+5=8)
  21. With everyone agreed on their common goal of survival, at least for the moment, Victory is able to concentrate more on their surroundings. While he's not exactly an expert on navigating this sort of environment, his enhanced senses would be a very valuable asset. And it seems that Scholar, despite her previously uncooperative attitude, was able to quickly provide some very useful information. Victory makes sure to record as much of it as he can, in order to add it to his database. It may prove useful someday when he gets off this planet. If he does. "I agree, there's without question something very interested in having us here. As I was brought in, I was unable to move about as freely in the air as normal. Some manner of invisible barrier actually closed in on me and forced me down here." Victory was about to continue speaking, when he cuts himself off and raises his head up. He looks about, holding a finger up. "Hold on...I hear something...." Victory stands for a bit longer, intently listening to the signal he had stumbled on. "It's a well-hidden signal, but I'm getting at least an approximation of its location..." Victory points in the direction of a mountain range some ways off, his hand waving in a somewhat vague manner. "That way. I think we have our destination. Or at least a start.. As for the signal, it sounds like some kind of...speech, perhaps? I'll try to see if I can patch it through. One of you might be more familiar with the language than I am."
  22. Is the signal that Victory picks up be one that he could record and playback with his current systems? To allow the others to hear it?
