1. John nodded his thanks to Etain and Eve, before his mind went to solving the problem it had been presented. Two foes, both very fast, and very hard to pin down. Not to mention this was a friendly bout. His powers started forming and disassembling various weapons as he weighed his options. To the other two it had appeared he had settled on a theme as the ethereal forms started appearing on both feet and arms, until it seemed he arrived at a decision. A pair of gauntlets and greaves coalesced into being, before he once again focused his attention back on the other occupants of the room. "I am ready, whenever you are."
2. Myrmidion just grunted in response to the giants' words. If a coordinated attack did not work, time to try a flurry of attacks. If it worked for ants, it might work here. -- Execute Maneuver Tango Seven-Nine, Kappa-Delta variant -- he mentally commanded his duplicates and he felt more than saw them impale their mind blades into the golem-man, flensing his mind over and over again. Focusing for a second, John caught his second wind before launching himself at the giant, ethereal blade savaging his opponent.

Tall and solidly built, he is far lighter on his feet than his farmer's frame would suggest. In his day to day wear at Claremont (which he can create via his powers), he favors old army surplus gear usually with a pair of combat boots, military cap and sunglasses to obscure his face. His combat uniform is an amalgamation of his past and present – The summoned combat armor he makes has a distinct SHADOW heritage. The matte black exterior is traced with faintly glowing blue lines that nicely highlight his new affiliation with Claremont. The helmet has a mirrored reflective faceplate, and it seamlessly integrates with the armor making while making a call back to his roots as a faceless SHADOW minion. Power Descriptions: According to the non-damaged files Raven retrieved from the SHADOW complex, their scientists believe he is "assembling" his weapons and armor from some sort of alternate dimension. Once the items completed they are in tune with the energies of this dimension, producing effects that are only limited by his mind. John’s psionic nature seems to have an effect on calling both his weapons and armor. Normally there are a faint light blue/white effects or highlights on the items in question when they are summoned. However SHADOW records noted that subject’s mental state also played a role. For example, when power usage occurred with artificially induced anger, these effects changed to a reddish color. Physical health seems to also play a role; with pronounced flickering as the result of heavy/lasting damage, to fading luminescence in cases of exhaustion and fatigue. History: RC-1207 AKA Myrmidon AKA John Smith was extracted from a SHADOW research base by Raven and Daedalus as the only surviving prototype clone. Said clone used advanced techniques for faster gestation and stable mutations compared to older model SHADOW clones. This new clone was designed to be an autonomous psychic commander, augmenting base SHADOW duplicates. Raven and Daedalus destroyed the SHADOW base and extracted the sole active clone and all related information. Upon further testing the clone was found to be self-aware, though it was undeveloped emotionally, physically, and mentally. Daedalus, by using data found at the SHADOW complex suggests that the cloning process is incomplete and needs to be finished in order for the clone to operate. In addition, Daedalus added further social conditioning in lieu of the standard SHADOW indoctrination programming in hopes of giving the clone free will. Numerous attempts to remove mutations and genetic modification from SHADOW proved fruitless as over the next year as the clone reached maturity. The clone proved intelligent and physically sound, but still only had a basic grasp of social concepts and interaction. At this point Duncan Summers suggested enrolling him at the Claremont Academy to allow him to develop the necessary skills to reintegrate into society. Personality & Motivation: The politest way to describe Myrmidon is socially stunted. He has no real experience in dealing with normal social interaction. That being said, he does enjoy new experiences and meeting people. Common things most people have already encountered are novel and fascinating things to him. He views using his power for good as a sort of balance to the misdeeds of his genetic donor, and is steadfast that he will not be used like that ever again. As for what he wants to do now? He has no clue. He is sure he'll find something eventually, but for now has no real goal. Hopefully his time at Claremont will give him some answers. Powers & Tactics: Myrmidon was created and trained to be a sublime battlefield commander and soldier. He uses his abilities to coordinate allies while maximizing and exploiting enemy weaknesses. His weapons allow unparalleled versatility on the battlefield, going from provide suppression/covering fire, precision sharpshooting, to CQB supremacy. In order to make the most of his powers SHADOW's mental and physical programming/augmentations focused on asymmetric warfare, and stealth infiltration and elimination techniques. John is a combat pragmatist first and foremost, and doesn't subscribe to the idea of a fair fight. He favors ending a fight as quick as possible, and doesn't hold back regardless of opponent.

Complications: Cliff Notes "Pop Culture Guide" Needed: Myrmidon has little or no clue about the subtleties and nuances of most social dialogue and relationships. He is severely at a loss when trying to understand popular culture, lingo, etc. If Found, Please Return To SHADOW: Needless to say, SHADOW would go to great lengths to retrieve Myrmidon if they ever found concrete evidence to his continuing existence. Pawn No More!: Being chained/restrained/controlled. Myrmidon definitely does not want to be considered an exploitable resource ever again and will fight till the bitter end in those circumstances. Six Degrees of Overshadow: Overshadow/SHADOW enemies tend to be his enemies until aware of who/what Myrmidon exactly is, and the same applies in reverse for allies of Overshadow/SHADOW. You Seem Horribly Familiar…: Myrmidon most definitely gets off on the wrong foot to any heroes/people that know what Overshadow/Shadow Clones look like under their masks. 5. "It's a corrosive biological, biochemical, or chemical weapon of some sort they were about to distribute into the water supply." John remarked blandly. "I would suggest still looking around as someone has told these men to do this, as I have not seen one yet with command abilities." While Steam ogled the chemical, John kept a watchful eye on the surroundings, just in case.
6. John sat unmoving during the speech from Zach, the only indication he was paying attention to the proceedings was the feeling of his gaze being directed at Victoria and then Morgan when they spoke. John was convinced he was right on the war orphan part, but something was decidely off about the teen and his sister. He got the same reaction when about to walk into an ambush or having to make small-talk at social gatherings. Plus, John was all to familiar with sizing people up not to notice Zach doing the same to Morgan and him when John mentioned training. When Morgan finished his credo he moved his empty bowl of of Jell-o off to the side of the tray. "I will have to disagree with you Mister Zach. Pacifism and Self-Defense are two distinctly separate ideals. A pacifist refuses to fight, even disregarding their own preservation. Self-Defense is being willing to protect oneself. Furthermore, if I were to just base my worldview on being seen as 'capable', that means little or nothing. Capability means something entirely different to me, versus Miss Victoria, or even you Mister Zach." The next line was delivered in a tone that Morgan had only heard one time earlier, when Vicky was taken by the Lady. "Do you think that because I chose not to make a spectacle out of those two, that makes me incapable or a pacifist? Why would one need to be such a warmonger that they would feel the need to use overwhelming force against every insignificant occurrence?" The icily cold tone disappeared, but not the intent in John's voice. "You do not need to fight to find a way to live here. If you feel the need that you have to, Mister Morgan or I would be more than willing to listen. After all, This is not where you came from, it is where you are now. Please do try to remember that." John stood and collected his tray. "I'll talk to you later, Mister Morgan and Miss Victoria. Mister Zach, Miss Jeena, and Miss Gwendolyn, it was a pleasure to meet you. Have a pleasant day."
7. John looked dumbfounded as he looked back and forth between the two women. "You are being serious? No reparations? This is an unexpected outcome." Gathering his thoughts so he could mentally compose and enunciate more than small sentences, he ran a hand through his hair. "Thank you both for your generosity and understanding. I still will have to inform Headmaster Summers that you both know about my situation. Miss Martel, I am sorry that I have caused you undue strife." At the offer of 3 person training he thought about it, and decided it would be the best way to let this incident pass. Even if he was up against a master fencer and a acrobat. "I would be most enlightened to see the demonstration, Miss Etain. I would also enjoy the opportunity to see a member of the Martel family in combat as well." John paused for a second. "However, it would not be prudent for myself not to extend to you both the same courtesy as well."
8. John observed the social interaction after the two capitulated with the same calculated focus as if he were still in training with Headmaster Summers. He was convinced that Miss Gwendolyn had never been in a true fight from her reaction to the altercation and afterwards. He couldn't explain her social out-casting of Miss Jeena, but that was an area he still had trouble navigating. The twins were another matter. From their responses to the subtle use of body language as teamwork cues, it was clear to John that they had some sort of training. Not to mention, their responses to their 'heritage' was a lot like he had to experienced the first few weeks he was at Claremont. Hmm. They were probably war orphans and were caught up in local conflicts. Maybe South African? Would explain their use of Dutch cover identities. In any case, John felt that he should do something since this was an area that he had experienced firsthand. He made a mental note to try and talk to the both of them by themselves when he got the opening. Speaking of openings, he looked down to check to see if he still had his gelatin. Miss Victoria had on occasion taken it from his plate when he was not looking, claiming that he should have protected it better. Turning his attention back to the conversation he finally spoke his thoughts on the matter. "Miss Victoria and Mister Morgan can vouch for why I do not choose to physically interfere in altercations anymore. It was...unpleasant the first and last time it happened. As for things to do, I am afraid I cannot help much. Most of my day is taken up by training of one form or another, but if you are in need of a exercise spotter I would be more than happy to assist." John said to Zach before taking a bite of his dessert.
9. "You are indeed correct, Mister Morgan. Decapitation does result in the loss of your head, as it would be no longer attached to your neck." He blandly pointed out. John filled the empty glass on his tray with water. "I did not think my intervention would help in any way, but I wanted to make sure that they had the choice to back down. In addition, I was hoping to divert any culpability of this situation from either of us. After all, I do not think there is time left in the day for more training." John walked a few feet an picked up two bananas. "In any case, those two are clearly outmatched. The odds are even more skewed against them if Miss Victoria should also be allied against them." "I am interested in the capabilities of these new students however. The twins do seem to have had some sort of training already." He said as he went about scouring the dessert section for a bit before finding what he was looking for, a small bowl of lime jello.
10. John dismissed the knife and stood up, a beleaguered look on his face. "You do not need to inform Mister Summers, because he already knows." he said with a sigh. "As for Overshadow, he is I...in a manner of speaking." He stepped around Etain, so she no longer shielded him. "As for being at Claremont, that answer I can tell you. To posses the ability of having a choice." John stared down the petite Martel. "I will gladly follow you to the Headmasters' office and let him explain the nature of my presence here, but I will not abide it being common knowledge. That would put everyone at risk, and that is an unacceptable outcome. Those are my terms, Miss Martel. I know that your abilities would easily allow you to rip my memories from me, but I wish to spare Miss Etain and yourself from their...vividness." He looked at the confused Etain, regret on his face. "I am sorry that you had to find out this way. I would have preferred to tell you and the others on my own terms, Miss Etain." John picked up his sunglasses which were nearby and slid them on. "If it would make you more comfortable, Miss Martel; Miss Etain can shackle my powers if you think it would be wise. Please, lead on." John said, gesturing at the doorway.
11. "Rarely does not mean never." Myrmidon said as the stone colossus managed to dislodge one of his duplicates and send it slamming into the arena wall with a sickening crunch of bones. The effort of hanging on was fatiguing, and held on fast in no part thanks to wearing gloves. The giant paused to deal with the other duplicates and that is when they attacked. Focusing his tiredness and fatigue into a glimmering purple blade, he commanded his surviving duplicates to do the same. They struck as one, all the while hoping the giant would succumb to their combined efforts. I can't keep this up much longer...John thought as he blinked sweat out of his eyes.

If he makes the save, I did not maintain the pin so he's auto free of that, and Myr is Exhausted.
13. John was about to help Etain up off the mat when the killing intent from the other psion lashed out at him both physically and mentally. Etain shoved him to the side, and placed herself in the line of fire. John backpedaled a few steps from Etains' shove and entered a low defensive stance, a glowing blade held at the ready. He then finally had enough time to get a decent look at his assailant, and his eyes widened in recognition. Martel, Eve. SHADOW Dossier #437...John quickly terminated that line of thought and wondered why she had attacked him now of all times. He had passed her a few times at Claremont to his recollection...that was when his realized that he was not wearing his sunglasses. He had taken them off to spar with Miss Etain. "Foxtrot."
14. Myrmidon needed to whittle down the numbers fast, so he concentrated on the spread stunner in his hands. It changed shape, gaining a heft the previous one did not have. He pulled the trigger, and a long stream of greyish colored material started splashing around the opponents on the upper level. On impact it rapidly started to expand, encasing whatever it touched. Myrmidon kept sweeping it over them, with all the concern of a man watering his lawn.
15. Expanding Foam Sprayer: Snare 5 (Extras: Area [shapeable - Five 5-ft square cubes]) [15PP] Myr all out power attacks +5 DC/-5 Defense (His Defense is now 11). They have to make a DC 20 Ref save. He'll try and 'walk' it over all of them up top. Since they should all be within 5 ft of each other.
16. John had just exchanged pleasantries with one of the food servers when he heard the normal mess hall background noise of people talking go silent. Looking for the source of the problem he quickly spotted the new students decidedly in the middle of things. He excused himself from the line, and approached the group with his hands in a placating gesture. "That is quite enough. There is no need for this to escalate further. It is just an article of clothing, which can easily be cleaned." He addressed to the teen holding the shorter one. "Let him go, it is not worth it." The smaller one of the duo sneered at him and said. "Stay outta this Kraut. This don't concern you." John scrutinized the pair, ignoring the whispers and pointing coming from some of the other tables. "As you wish," He said with finality, before going back to collect his plate. I do not need yet another reason to raise Mister Summers' ire, he thought to himself. Besides, those two neophytes were clearly outclassed. Picking up his tray again, he seemed to realize something he turned to Morgan. "Your music playback device fell into my training bag again. Here." He extracted the device in question out of one of his cargo pockets and handed it to the other teen.
17. I'd go with talking. Myr is going to go on the defensive because of the inherent panic of "CRAP! A MARTEL!". That will make the spear and cane sword disappear, because he needs to make a weapon to potentially fight back with.
18. "I prefer not to spar with the usual pragmatism I employ in combat, but since you have requested it..." John looked at Etain, and she could see his features slip into a cold and detached professional demeanor a split second before the spear slammed into her left leg, knocking her to a knee. He was already on his feet and moving behind her the same time her knee hit the mat. A brutally efficient killing blow immediately followed, the spearhead exiting her chest where her heart would be located. The force of the spears' forward momentum caused it to be embedded deep into the protective mat with a dull thunk. "...I will demonstrate."
19. John quietly listened as Morgan made the reason for this meeting known, and Brian along with Victoria voiced their thoughts as well. "In all actuality that is why Mister summers is giving us training, Mister Brian. He is not the type of man that would train us on a whim and he has shown continued interest in our progress as individuals and as a group." John pointed at the senior dorms. "In addition Young Freedom is lost some members due to their graduating, not to mention that Next-Gen have not been active for some time. Claremont does not have a full roster at the moment." A light wind rustled through the trees, ruffling his hair. "In any situation this is a decision that cannot be made lightly." He shot an upward glace to Brian. "In any case, in my opinion the reason that we are not allowed to go on patrol is that we as a team aren't really suited for missions of that nature." John pointed to each one in turn. "Wheelman" was directed at Wisp, "Support" at Brian, "Fixer" at crow, and the last comment was directed at himself "Pointman. We are more along the lines of a tactical fire-team rather than a squad of heroes, and I think that Mister Summers has been training us with that in mind." He looked at the others and shrugged. "Though I may be suffering from over-thinking the matter as well. At the very least we should ask Mister Summers directly."
20. John had measured out the time it would take to arrive at the cafeteria doing his and set forth to meet the timetable. He had arrived almost a half minute earlier than he had expected; and was wearing a set of army cargo pants with boots with a white t-shirt. John was still wearing his ubiquitous reflective sunglasses from earlier, as he pushed open the door to see Morgan with not only Jenna but a white-haired male. Judging by facial features, skin color, and similar glasses; which probably meant they had the same light sensitivity, this was a close relative to Jenna. More than likely her twin brother based by his apparent age. "Hello again." He addressed the pair before focusing on the white-haired male. "I do not believe we have met yet. Please, call me John. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He offered his hand for a friendly handshake.

22. He nodded sagely. "That may be the case Miss Etain. However I am not one to delude myself that this," he gave a sweeping gesture encompassing the training room, "is anything remotely like the situations would be like on an actual field of battle." He sat down on the mat, swiping the sweat off his brow with the back of his hand. "Likewise, I do not wish to raise a weapon against the people I call friends, including you Miss Etain. But I am one who is very well experienced in the fickle nature of combat, and am not like most of the students here." He chose his next words very carefully. "They do not realize what it is like to be forced to kneel." John focused on the jian, and it slowly changed into a tasseled spear. "Let us mix some things up a bit, shall we?"
23. John held up a hand to silence Miss Victoria. "I do not and will not ever hold anyone at fault or responsible for that. These things can happen in combat, whether in routine training for fighting for your very life." Lowering his hand he continued. "I do not dwell on it so neither should any of you." John looked over to Brian. "I am functional. Which is about he best answer that I can give, since I myself do not know entire ramifications yet." He stood up, "I have gained some benefits as well." He used his powers to change his attire into the attire of of the the characters from they movie they had watched recently. John stood there in a pinstripe suit, fedora, with a Thompson sub-machine gun...looking like he had walked straight out of The Untouchables. A split second later he was wearing his normal combat armor, before reverting his clothing back to normal as he sat back down. "It will be enjoyable finding out the scope of these new abilities."
24. John felt the sword pass through his neck with a tingle, and let loose a sharp laugh followed by a genuine smile. "Ha! Indeed that is and should be the case, as you have just proved beyond the shadow of a doubt." John gave her a small bow. "I yield to your superior skills and swordsmanship, Miss Etain. I have never seen a sword used with such grace." He rubbed his neck, with a smile still on his face "This would be the reason I wear armor out in the field," John idly noted.
