  1. He grimaced underneath his helmet as the man in period clothing showed that there were people more unsubtle than Darwin. There goes any sort of covert method. John thought ruefully. He did a quick sweep of the entry visually, making sure there were no snipers before breaking cover. John stood, and came out of the tree-line towards the other two men. He gestured with his tranquilizer rifle at the still cooling barrels of the gatling guns. "I would suggest pressing our attack. If there any more defenders, they now know of our presence here." He looked over at Animus. "You would be best on point with your sensory abilities."
  2. I am going to be in the process of upgrading to a new computer, so it might take me a day or two to get all the files/etc. transferred over. Hopefully it should be a quick process, but I might not be around till late Saturday/Sunday.
  3. Okay, Myrmidon uses his action to Aid Another on Sun Wukong to Hit the Bat Demon. DC 10. Aid Another - 1d20+6=7 Bah. I'll HP for the Re-roll. Aid Another 2 - 1d20+6=17 Much Better. Monkey King gets a +5 ATK vs. Batty. After this he goes into an Accurate Attack/Defensive Stance (+5 Def / -5 DC)
  4. Myrmidon watched the fight progress between the two ninjas, the shadowy horde, Wisp, and the other hero. The ninjas seemed adept at dodging blows, so he needed to make sure that his allies could get in a clean hit. A pistol-like weapon appeared in his left hand, sparks of electricity arcing between the two prongs. John gestured for the officers to move aside as he concentrated on deploying out as many soldiers as possible. The appeared around him, similar weapons to his at the ready. -- Directed Fire, Target Bravo. Wisp Flanking -- he commanded mentally to his duplicates. -- Copy that. -- Was the reply. The double doors of the museum slammed open with an echoing BANG! as the duplicates moved into position, their weapons firing dazzling whitish-blue bolts of electricity at the black ninja. The shots landed as intended, leaving him in an open and exploitable position to Wisp...
  5. Myrmidon Summon Weapon (Free Action): Van De Graff Pistol - Paralyze 5 (Extras: Ranged, Alt Save [Fort]; Drawbacks: Reduced Range [5 70ft Range Increments, 350ft Max Range], Feats: Precise) - 15 pp He then EE for an AP of his duplicate power (standard action): Myrmidon now is fatigued, so he blows and HP to remove it. Duplication 7 (Extras: Horde; Flaws: Tiring; Power Feats: Absorption Healing, Mental Link, Progression x3 [10 Duplicates]) He commands his duplicates (move action) to aid Wisp with aid another in engaging the black ninja. They have Teamwork 3, so each one that succeeds (DC 10 check) will give Wisp a +5 to attack vs. the Black Ninja. Duplicates They are all armed with the above weapon (free action), and aid another to Wisp in attacking the black ninja (standard action). Their Move Action is used up moving into position. Dupe Attack Rolls - 8 out of 10 Succeed. Wisp has a +40 to Attack the Black Ninja
  6. Myrmidon & Dupes! Initiative - 1d20+1=18
  7. John analyzed the situation as thus: 1) Miss Victoria no longer controlled. 2) Brannagh was escaping or going to strike from invisibility. 3) Room full of fae, who may or may not be battle capable. The response needed was this: 1) Slow or Stop pursuers. 2) Ensure extraction. 3) Send a personal message. Ten Myrmidons phased into existence by the entrance, a heavy launcher braced on their shoulders. He commanded them with a thought, -- Demolitions, Attack Pattern Kilo Seven Bravo.-- They responded in kind: -- Copy that, Sir. -- They entered the room in sync, each firing simultaneous strikes on the various columns, supports and ceiling. Where the projectiles hit, they bit into the rock and started vibrating - the sound audible enough to hear. A pair impacted the ceiling above the assembled fae as the original Myrmidon yelled out to Mister Morgan and Miss Wisp. "We need to extract now!"
  8. Cue epic escape sequence start! Myrmidon spends a HP to get the +Heroic on his duplicate, and calls the max number out. On his move he commands them to combo attack to take out the load bearing columns, etc. The weapon they use for this is: Seismic Wave Inducer: Blast 8 (Extra: Area [burst]; Flaws: Limited [Objects Only]; Drawback: Reduced Range [5 70ft Range Increments, 350ft Max Range]) [15PP] They really can't miss a stationary target, so that's a total of a DC 43 Tough Save vs. The Structure. 15 Base Toughness save + 8 Blast Save + 2(x10) Combo Attack Save = 43 total. I'm guessing that it's made of stone, which has a Toughness of 5, as described on page 166 of the Core Book. Myrmidon is hoping to bring down the temple, or at the very least cause some major structural damage.
  9. Myrmidon is a recent transplant as well. You can find him seemingly all over campus usually training & exercising.
  10. John started at the sudden sound of bugles. "What?" He said turning as the automated distress call sounded. "Miss Ironclad?!?" He saw Mister Macayle and Sun Wunkong heading off down one of the corridors and John followed after them hot on their heels. While he was sure that they probably didn't need the backup, his main concern was that Miss Ironclad having to resort to such methods to call for help. John skidded to a stop behind them in the hallway, and saw the two bestial humanoids. He quickly dropped into a combat stance, ready to engage the duo.
  11. As soon as Brannagh appeared, Johns' weapon snapped upward instantly. The iron sights of the weapon were aimed dead center in the leering face, right below his left eye. John grimaced under his mask, sorely tempted to show him what the color of his gray matter was. But if he was to shoot him, it might pass through and hit Miss Victoria. He checked on her for a half second, and noted that she seemed to be in dumbfounded shock. That was a strange reaction for Crow just breaking the threshold of the room and Brannagh appearing...
  12. Myrmidon scanned the room his weapon moving in sync with his line of sight. About thirty or so fae and Miss Victoria, who was currently rambling on about what it meant it be a hero. Odd. Other than that, his senses were screaming at the top of their lungs: TRAP! TRAP! TRAP! Which it obviously was, but how to spring it without getting caught in it? John whispered back. "Yes. Maybe mind control. I am concerned that if we were to engage the fae currently, Miss Victoria might consider us opponents." He looked at her more intently, trying to ascertain the nature of her mental imprisonment. "I am not an expert at illusions, but I believe a sharp stimuli or emotional response of some sort might free her from whatever is holding her mind hostage."
  13. I can either EE or HP that (Extra: Affects Other) on my weapon creation power if you would like TT, since ordinarily I can't give my weapons to others.
  14. He gave her a wan smile at that statement. "I do not believe that would be necessary, Miss Genardine." John held up his hands palm-up and called forth a wooden sword with a leather hilt that was a good approximation of the one currently by her side. "One of the benefits of my abilities is that I am never at the mercy of finding myself unequipped for battle." He concentrated a bit more a gestured for her to take it, the weapon now as solid to her as it was to him. "If you would do me the honor of your instruction, Miss Genardine."
  15. Myrmidon held up a fist as they approached the steps, the tactical signal to wait. Something was not right. They had gotten here easily, which in part he attributed to hubris or trying to anger Mr. Morgan even more on the behalf of this 'Lady' who ran this realm. Illusions, maybe a magic trap of some sort? He racked his brain at the possibilities only for it to come come to a crashing stop when he heard...applause? "What?," he asked quizzically just above a whisper, cocking his head to try and locate the source of the sound.
  16. John, ever since starting at Claremeont was secretly a bit jealous of people who could teleport. Both tactically and strategically it was a great ability, one that he hoped with further training with his friends they could utilize more effectively as their teamwork improved. The pair of Claremonters appeared on the front steps, halfway between the stopped patrol car and the officers at the front door. He immediately noted the officers weapons drawn and started running up the stairs to steps at a time to take a look inside at the situation and also to talk to the officers. He gently touched one of the officers shoulder, keenly aware of the danger of spooking someone with a gun drawn. "Pardon our intrusion officers, but my friend and I can take care of situation inside while you can call for additional backup." he said to the pair, pointing in the direction of Wisp and their patrol car.
  17. Myrmidons' Initiative - 1d20+1=13 Just so I'm clear, Myrmidon and Wisp cannot get the police officers to fall back, only Overclock?
  18. Free action drop prone. Current Weapon Config: Tranquilizer Rifle - Sleep 5 (Drawbacks: Reduced Range [350 ft.]; Feats: Sedation, Subtle) Okay, -6 for range (300 feet). All-out attack for full (+5 Atk, -5 Def). According to Rav this still hits. He's shooting the the one with the rifle, so that one has to make a DC 20 Save vs. Fort or go to dreamland. Subtle on the rifle should go a long way for making them not know where he's shooting from. Move action - Assessment on the hobos Assessment check - 1d20+5=23
  19. Upon hearing the shots, John dropped prone, trying to zero in on their location. There he saw a man in odd clothing standing in the middle of a firefight like it was a Sunday walk. Thankfully Darwin had gotten him out of the way and John gauged the distance to the tangos and lined up a shot with the tranquilizer rifle. One of the shots had a harsher retort than the others, so that one became his primary target. He pulled the trigger, and the muted sound of a hiss and click was heard as the sedative dart leaped towards it's target.
  20. "I would suggest moving out now. The more time we spend idle the more they can shore up their defenses." One of the Myrmidons said to the pair, their faces reflecting in his dark faceplate. John turned his attention then fully to Glowstar. "This area will be hard to defend. If you have fall back I would suggest going back through the portal and attacking through it. They can only come through with small numbers and that should give you the advantage with Parkhurst defenses to assist you as well." "But he is correct, a covert approach at this point may well allow us to reach our objective." With the statement finished, the other Myrmidions faded out. After all, it's a lot easier to sneak two people past defenses than a whole squad.
  21. John looked back and forth between his new purchase and it's accompanying instruction manual. He had read all the warnings, and had read it cover to cover twice, once in English and then in German. Satisfied, he pressed the switch labeled 'On'. The crackle of static squelched out, and he turned the dial looking for a signal. He had caught the tail end of a conversation, and adjusted the gain. Now the voices came in clearly. -- Dispatch, this is car 237. Nothing out here, Over. -- John had bought the police radio just this morning. A knock sounded on his open door and he looked over to see Miss Victoria standing in the doorway. "What can I do for you Miss Victoria?" He asked. Before she could say anything, the radio flared to life again. -- All units in the Hanover/Lincoln area check out alarm notification at the museum, please respond. --
  22. Just on a lookout. Weapon Electro-Carbine - Damage 7 [Extras: Ranged (700 feet); Feat: Subtle] DC 22 Toughness (Energy, Electrical)
  23. John lowered his weapon as the destructive force he knew as Crow proceed to tear through the enemy ranks like a combine through wheat. Their leader was down as well, so Myrmidon what any soldier would do in this situation. Secure a perimeter. Myrmidon split off three duplicates and formed a perimeter around their entrance point, scanning the nearby buildings for any threats. Each of them had called some sort of energy weapon, otherwise keeping a silent vigil as the two other heroes investigated the issue. He did keep an ear out just in case the magic that had brought them here went haywire, which he knew it had a penchant to do from his previous experience.
