1. John followed stealthily, lagging just behind Darwin who was surprisingly good at this. Darwin mouthed the word blood to him, and John nodded once and gestured for Darwin to go ahead, with him covering him in case anybody decided to take a shot at the pair. Deciding he'd need a non-lethal take-down method if it went snafu, he called forth a tranquilizer rifle into his hands. He paused at the edge of the woods, giving Darwin over-watch as he approached the site.
2. Current Weapon Config: Tranquilizer Rifle - Sleep 5 (Drawbacks: Reduced Range [350 ft.]; Feats: Sedation, Subtle) Stealth Check for Myrmidon 1d20+10=17 Initiative Check for Myrmidon 1d20+1=2 D'oh!
3. Battle of Mook Squads! Myr is interested!
4. "I myself shoot hundreds of rounds on weekly basis, I have never heard of someone taking two shots and being done. In addition, this area is a bit close to inhabited areas and bullets travel a great deal more than most people realize. So yes. We should investigate." He did not add that the possibility of a having a firefight vs. hearing more about migratory patterns appealed to him greatly. "They came from that direction." he said, pointing to the northwest. "Maybe a klick or so away." He did not ask his companion for confirmation, and instead took off in that direction at a quick pace.
5. John was wondering for the thirtieth time why he was here. He had been intending on going and seeing the Supers Museum but instead was roped into a 'wilderness expedition' my his new roommate, Darwin. This expedition so far consisted of Darwin running around talking at and/or trying to fight various wildlife and generally causing a scene. Thankfully this was a remote wooded area. When he wasn't looking Darwin had sneaked a glance at his watch to see how much time he had lost being stuck out here. Hmm...well, that's not so bad, two hours so far. Maybe I can...his thoughts were interrupted by a sound that was suspiciously similar to a gunshot. A hunter? He thought idly before it happened again. Now that was indeed odd. If the hunter had missed his shot he wouldn't fire so soon again, and it would take him more time to go over to a wounded animal and finish it off than that... "Hold up a second Mister Darwin. I heard gunshots."
6. Myr looked at the other fae enclosing them in a box formation as Crow tried his hand at forcing them to move aside. He wasn't quick enough to stop the swordswoman from attacking him, but Glowstar quickly took charge of that situation. "Hmm. Negotiations failed." he said as he summoned a massive weapon into both hands. He took a moment to brace it before aiming it at the largest concentration of the fae surrounding them and pulled the trigger. A high pitch whine sounded like the charging of a camera flash, and a translucent spherical shock wave of force detonated in their ranks.
7. Okay! Myr Summons a Shockwave Emitter. Shockwave Emitter - Trip 7 [Extras: Knockback, Area [burst] (general); Flaw: Distracting; Power Feat: Improved Trip] That's a 35 ft radius effect, so I aim at the largest concentration of them. (I'll let you determine how many it affects.) DC 17 Reflex for everybody within the blast radius, if they fail take the worse of their dex/str vs. a trip attempt w/ knockback. Mooks bounced around like pinballs time! Note that Myrmidon has lost his dodge bonus this round since he had to brace the weapon (distracting).
8. Initiative Roll - 1d20+1 = 11 Lock & Load!
9. "You might think that now, Miss Genardine, but you should know as well that luck plays a major part on the battlefield same as skill or tactics. Plus, now that you have the experience of fighting someone with Mister Cannonades' abilities, you have an edge if someone like him were to threaten your Queen. Experience is gained by both the victor and the defeated." John said sincerely. "In fact, if you have the time to spare would you do me the honor of helping me learn more of the sword? I have to admit, it is one of my weapon skills that I believe needs the most improvement. I did not exactly have what you would call proper instruction or guidance in my training." He looked at Miss Genardine hopefully.
10. John looked between the two, and tried to get some decisions going instead of idle arguments for arguments sake. "If I am not mistaken Mr. DeSaens, all but yourself are technically underage here by law, and therefore cannot drink anything with an alcohol content." He opened the door leading back into Parkhurst for the others. "We can decide further on lunch when we ascertian what food stores you have in stock. If there is nothing there that appeals, Mr. Morgan or I could go and retrieve something from a store if you wish."

Tall and solidly built, he is far lighter on his feet than his farmer's frame would suggest. In his day to day wear at Claremont, he favors old army surplus gear usually with a pair of combat boots, military cap and sunglasses to obscure his face. His combat uniform is a amalgamation of his past and present – The combat armor he was issued by SHADOW has been re-purposed, its matte black exterior traced with blue lines representing his new affiliation with Claremont. He has retooled and repainted a motorcycle helmet to go with his armor, making a subtle call back to his roots as a faceless SHADOW minion with it's reflective faceplate. It also helps to confuse opponents trying to pick the original out of the duplicates. Power Descriptions: According to the the non-damaged files Raven retrieved from the SHADOW complex, their scientists believe he is 'assembling' his duplicates from some sort of alternate dimension. Once 'built' they are in tune with a sort of psychic echo that duplicates and broadcasts his brainwaves into the assembled duplicate. This echo also allows simultaneous mental communication between Myrmidon and his 'troops'. He can also forge weapons in a similar manner to the duplicates who also have this ability. Johns' state of mind seems to have an effect on calling both his weapons and duplicates. Normally there is a faint light blue/white effect when they are summoned, and they have a standardized appearance. However SHADOW records noted that when angered these effects changed to a reddish color, and might even effect his powers to some extent. History: RC-1207 AKA Myrmidon AKA John Smith was extracted from a SHADOW research base by Raven and Daedalus as the only surviving prototype clone. Said clone used advanced techniques for faster gestation and stable mutations compared to older model SHADOW clones. This new clone was designed to swarm the battlefield with multiple copies. Raven and Daedalus destroyed the SHADOW base and extracted the sole active clone and all related information. Upon further testing the clone was found to be self aware, though it was undeveloped emotionally, physically, and mentally. Daedalus, by using data found at the SHADOW complex suggests that the cloning process is incomplete and needs to be finished in order for the clone to operate. In addition, Daedalus added further social conditioning in lieu of the standard SHADOW indoctrination programming in hopes of giving the clone free will. Numerous attempts to remove mutations and genetic modification from SHADOW proved fruitless as over the next year as the clone reached maturity. The clone proved intelligent and physically sound, but still only had a basic grasp of social concepts and interaction. At this point Duncan Summers suggested enrolling him at the Claremont Academy to allow him to develop the necessary skills to reintegrate into society. Personality & Motivation: The politest way to describe Myrmidon is socially stunted. He has no real experience in dealing with normal social interaction. That being said, he does enjoy new experiences and meeting people. Common things most people have already encountered are novel and fascinating things to him. He views using his power for good as a sort of balance to the misdeeds of his genetic donor, and is steadfast that he will not be used like that ever again. As for what he wants to do now? He has no clue. He is sure he'll find something eventually, but for now has no real goal. Hopefully his time at Claremont will give him some answers. Powers & Tactics: Myrmidon was trained to be a one man squad. He uses his duplicates and weapons to provide suppression/covering fire, aid another, and so forth. In order to make the most of his powers SHADOWs' mental programming focused on field leadership, tactics, and stealth techniques. Myrmidon via his powers is also proficient in most any weapon he can create. In general he will create specialized weapons that give him the most use at the time they are needed. John is a combat pragmatist first and foremost, and doesn't subscribe to the idea of a fair fight. In fact he favors ending a fight as quick as possible, and doesn't hold back regardless of opponent.

Complications: Disability: Myrmidon has little or no clue about the subtleties of most social dialogue and relationships. He is severely at a loss when trying to understand popular culture, lingo, and the like. Phobia/Hatred: Being chained/restrained/controlled. Myrmidon definitely does not want to be a pawn ever again and will fight till the bitter end in those circumstances. Enemy/Mistaken Identity: Overshadow/SHADOW enemies tend to be his enemies until aware of who/what Myrmidon exactly is, and the same applies in reverse for allies of Overshadow/SHADOW. Prejudice/Secret: Myrmidon most definitely gets off on the wrong foot to any heroes/people that know what Overshadow/Shadow Clones look like under their masks. Secret/Wanted: Needless to say, SHADOW would go to great lengths to retrieve Myrmidon if they ever found concrete evidence to his continuing existence. 12. Myr slid the map into a pocket. "I believe you misunderstand me Mr. Morgan. I will gladly fight alongside you whenever, wherever you request. It was my intent to clarify the gravity and consequences of the situation to the both of you." He walked over to Crow to stand beside his friend. "Now, let us show this Lady and her servants what the consequences of their actions has wrought upon them."
13. John paused mid-movement when Mister Brian had made his opinion on the matter known, and instead settled for fixing him with a stare that bordered on either pity or thinking one was insane. "We have no clue as what we are walking into. I for one do not like the thought of getting killed because we go traipsing into a kill box." John actually seemed irritated. "We don't have an extraction plan either, and nobody else knows where we are headed. We get stranded over there, that is it. We lose." He crossed his arms over his chest staring at the two other heroes. "I am concerned for Miss Victoria, but this?" he said gesturing with the rolled up map across the room. "This is what you call a suicide mission. Yes, you hear about the ones that succeed in legends or history, but for every one that does scores of others fail." He slammed a hand down on the table, a marker scattering off and falling to the floor. "I say this to make clear all of the ramifications of the situation." He paused for a second to let that sink in before continuing.. "We must be agile enough to adapt to the situation over there, even if it means making some hard choices. I am ready to do that now. Are the both of you?" Myrmidon directed his gaze at the pair.
14. John was happy that Mister Macayle had interceded on his behalf. It gave him the opportunity to slip away unnoticed after a short time, until he almost ran into Miss Genardine who was by herself as well. "My apologies, I did not expect anyone else to be over here." He sat down a few chairs over from her, before thinking to himself he might as well try polite conversation. All he needed was a subject, some common ground. Aha! "Your swordsmanship is excellent, that much I could tell in the match. How long did it take you to learn?"
15. Myr looked at Mister Morgan, then to Miss Victoria and finally back again to Morgan his head cocked in puzzlement. He reached over and pinched the back of Morgans' hand, hard. The desired effect was satisfactory. "Dreams do not have pain associated with them ordinarily. Therefore, you are are conscious, or we all are having a conjoined dream, which could be true with the caliber of some of the psychics here." He took another bite of something called 'prime rib' that he found he liked. "But I do not think the tournament organizers would allow such a thing." He continued after a quick drink of water. "I am glad that our plan helped in your bout. It could have gone a lot worse with a man as skilled as Bres. Hopefully he is not one to retain a grudge over a friendly tournament." Still, there were so many new things and people here. It was a bit overwhelming to him, especially when some of the other competitors wanting to talk with him, and when Windtracer chatted him up he was at a distinct lack of words. He mostly stuck alongside his friends, but he was happy to make some new acquaintances.
16. The Myr closest to the map started writing notes on the map, naming structures with a sharpie as Crow pointed them out. The Myrmidon closest to Glowstar spoke. "That means archaic weaponry such as swords, bows, and things of that nature. Brannagh and the Lady perhaps would not be aware of modern weaponry?" At this Myr walked around the table as the duplicates one by one disappeared around him, the one writing on the map only fading after it was finished with its task. "Regardless, we do not have enough intel to make any sort of effective strategy for freeing Miss Victoria. I would also hazard that since this attack was aimed at you, Mr. Morgan that they expect an impulsive attack. Maybe we can cause them to show their play a little." He returned a book to where he had found it, turning back towards the pair. "If we could possibly disguise ourselves as fey and enter a common point, I doubt they would expect that over a flashy entrance. Furthermore, we can also use this to gain reliable information and potentially see what we are up against. If that fails we still have boots on ground. The disguises might get us closer to the citadel than a head-on assault." He rolled up the map. "So Mr. Morgan, do you have a way to disguise us via magical or mundane means?"
17. When they walked back on Myrmidon he had all of his duplicates out. Each of them was flipping through a book, looking at the crude map, or scribbling a note down and passing it to the others. All in all, if you could put a overall mood on the room it was grim. One of the Myrs' looked up when Crow and Glowstar returned and stood up from pouring over an old book. 'Ah. you're back. I have a few questions for you.' The other Myrs' continued their tasks in the background. "To begin, Do you have way of determining the nature and purpose of any of these buildings." he said gesturing to the map. Another Myr looked over at him this one holding a tome entitled 'Neverland Wildlife Guide'. "Secondly, can you give a rough estimate on enemy forces and strength? A third Myr asked form a chair. "What about these fae. What do they look like?" A pair of them followed that up with ,"About this Lady, does she have any sort of surveillance there?" which was delivered perfectly in sync with one another. Other one was heard to grumble "I'm a soldier not a bloody mageling." while looking at some notes that were clearly not written in english. Finally, the one looking at the map looked up to him, hands grasping the sides of the table. "My concern is that this Lady or Brannagh might try and follow us back and take control of Parkhurst, as a foothold over here. Give me a rough outline of them, if you can." The Myrs all looked at Morgan, blinking in sync.
18. Myrmidon - 33 posts First Impressionisms (14) Just Beneath The Surface (1) Myrmidon (5) Save the Girlfriend, Save the World (2) The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Auspicious Convocation (3) The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey (8)
19. "I see." Those two simple words held many meanings. It was the inflection in which they were delivered that gave them gravity. Somebody had taken his friend Miss Victoria, to hurt his other friend. That was unacceptable. It was a subtle change, but Morgan could easily pick up on it. John Smith was gone now, only Myrmidon remained and Myrmidon said nothing as he slid on his combat uniform. With a final tug, the body armor fitted into place, and Myrmidon looked towards Crow, his eyes cold and dead. "Lead the way." Myrmidon was going to war.
20. Myrmidon stood tall, basking in the the roars of appreciation from the crowd and most importantly his friends. He felt his body wind down from the combat high, and looked around to see the medics wheel his opponent out. At her gesture he snapped to rigid attention before saluting her and then facing Guan Yu and the tournament hosts and bowing to them before proceeding out of the arena. It didn't sit well with him, fighting another hero, but he had to admit he had liked being supported by his friends. His thoughts then instantly went to his friends' matches and his next opponent. He made sure to sit through all the other matches supporting his friends but also gaining intelligence on his potential next bout.
21. John didn't really know how to respond to them. In fact he was so shocked at their acceptance of the fact that he had missed Crow's hand on his shoulder. He was still getting used to the idea of non-corporal punishment for mistakes and then this. If Crow had a camera he'd have blackmail of the serious student of John for months, with John standing there in shock, a bit of redness creeping into his ears. "Thank you very much." was about all he could say to the situation before hastily adding, "Mess sounds good." with an overemphasized (for John anyways) head nod.
22. The act of knocking actually cracked open the door a bit, and it easily swung open with just a bit more force applied. John was on the floor, dressed in his usual workout clothes in the middle of stretches. John looked upward at the door, a momentary expression of confusion playing across his features. Nobody usually was up this early besides Mr. Morgan and himself, but as seeing it was the man in question the perplexed look disappeared. "Good Morning, Mister Morgan. Did you want to..." the sentence died on his lips as he stared at his friend fully clothed in his 'Crow' regalia. That was odd yes, but what concerned him the most was the smell of blood and the small streak of it on the door. Plus, Morgan's posture was completely at odds with his friends usual relaxed slouch. He kipped up from the floor, and looked his friend straight in the eyes. "What has happened?" was the simple and direct question.
23. May 11th, 2011 I sometimes ponder if being a superhero draws trouble to oneself. Earlier this morning i was approached by a representative of Tian to fight in a tournament. It was only after I had sparred her and passed some sort of satisfactory level did she tell me this, instead masquerading as a fellow student. I am disheartend to admit that I was soundly defeated, though the pain of loss was lessened after i had learned exactly who and what she was. I accepted her invitation, though I do not know when the tournament will happen... May 13th, 2011 Day 1 - Tian According to the rules, three days will pass in three seconds while i was in Tian. So I am dating this based on the calendar day we left on earth. Mr. Morgan had invited Miss Victoria and myself to meet his father, the superhero known as the Red Hand. I tried to refuse, knowing of that Red Hand had tangled with SHADOW many times over his illustrious career. He ignored my excuses and dragged me along anyways promising 'hoagies'. Whatever those are. That leads me to another question. Why are foods named so...oddly? Philly Cheesesteak, Haggis, Gazpacho? Back to the tournament. I was walking through Mr. Morgans' (Sr.) door when I was telelocated to Tian. The diversity and styles were amazing. There were many i would have liked to talk to, but due to the timetable I was unable to. I am in the same bracket as Mr. Morgan, Miss Victoria, Miss Ironclad, and Mr. Macayle. I hope I do not have to fight them.
