  1. For the record, Az, The twins have white hair, not blond as you mentioned in your last post.
  2. That makes it Thrude's turn again. We're basically out of combat now. Shaen if you'd like your character to return to the scene of the crime, we can all finally do the meet and greet part of this thread.
  3. "It's strange putting things in a different language," Zach said to Gwen as he hefted the shovel in one hand, "But I think the saying is, 'Ask and you shall receive'." He threw her a casual smile and saluted her as he backed away toward the underground water pipe. Only after he'd saluted did he realized he'd used the Resistance Salute: a closed fist, palm outward, with the first two fingers at his temple. He hoped she either wouldn't notice, or would take it as a Netherlands thing. Once he was repositioned at the pipe, he drew a mental image in his head of where the line needed to go, then he let that new sense fade out of focus as he reached out and tried to affect the density of the dirt rather than sense it. There was a small rumbling as he shook up the molecules of the dirt in the ground just under the surface and grass along where the water line ran through their construction site. The grass on top of the soil became broken up as fresh, less dense dirt he'd just created rose above the now more dense top soil to the surface. A second later, there was a dirt line through the grass of fresh topsoil along the place where the water pipe ran. Zach looked up toward Gwen, and saw that her attention was otherwise occupied. The smile on his face faded slightly. This is actually fun... He sent to his sister, I'm not sure if it is the proper term, but it's like I'm playing a game. Trying to make her like me. I'm sure she will. Perhaps I should find out more about Brian. I don't dislike him. We just want the same thing. Has your roommate said anything about him I might be able to use? Is it wrong to ask that? Zach's thoughts were silent for a moment. Finally, he thought to himself, There was so much fighting back on Tekton. There was never any time for romance. I've spent my whole life fighting, but here at this school there's some iota of peace. Zach smiled and looked around him at the project they were all using their powers to complete, This feels... right...
  4. Zach is pulling out all the stops in yet another attempt to impress. This'll be my second power stunt of the game. He's going to make a targeted Line Area power stunt with precise and lots of progression so he can nab the whole area. It's basically meant to roto-tiller the the ground just underneath the surface, thus turning up the grass above and drawing a line in the dirt approximately along where the power line runs. Zach starts every thread with 2 HP due to his luck, so even if I WERE required to crunch the numbers on this, he could still do it without being fatigued.
  5. She just... I mean... I... Say something, idiot! "Yea! Sure!" Zach blurted out, before he knew what he was doing. He didn't after all know if he could find that water pipe. He just really really wanted to be able to. "Here...Can I use that?" He held his hand out for the shovel. Once he'd received it, he pressed the blade firmly but slowly into the ground. In his most dense form, all he had to do was stand on the end of the blade, and it could slip right in. But he took advantage to show off how strong he was and did it with just one hand instead. Once it was in the ground, he closed his eyes and grasped the end of it. He felt the density of the molecules in his own body. He knew he had full control over those. But Tektani had been tunneling and mining their own homeworld for years. The dirt on Earth couldn't be that much different. He reached out with the power of his genetic modifications. After all, he was supposed to represent a perfect specimen of their race. Why shouldn't he be able to... "There it is!" His eyes shot open. "Metal pipe carrying water from point A to point B, right? Yea. It runs from the school to the sprinklers in the soccer field. Well, Football in this country, I guess. It's there." Zach leaned in closer to Gwen so she could see along his arm better. He drew an imaginary line in the air at the approximate location of the water line. Zack pulled the shovel out of the ground, and handed it back to Gwen. "No reason you should hurt your back, right?" He smiled at her before asking, "Want me to draw a line in the dirt for you?"
  6. Fair enough. That'll make it push's turn. I really apologize for not even following my own 24 hour rule here. I'm really trying. Things have been rather crazy IRL lately...
  7. Worry no more, Sis. No one's gonna find those for a good long while. I found a remote fissure and stuck them in it. Even if you knew exactly where to look, you'd still have to mine them out. Veerlon knows a cavern made of stone and earth beats the Meeka out of a safety deposit box any day. Zach watched the strange way that Gwen was digging for a few moments. He was no stranger to digging holes. No Tektani were. Whether or not her interests lay elsewhere, he couldn't help but ask, "Do you need help, Gwen? Jeena can vouch for me, I dug a lot of holes as a kid." Zach smiled, "If not, maybe there's something else I can work on before the pizza gets here?"
  8. Sounds good to me. I'll leave the ruling on weather ASTRO will accept it or not to the resident GM, Shaen. Feel free to throw up your IC post.
  9. I hadn't thought about it, but sure that seems like a good number. I'll put it right at 500lbs, arbitrarily. You cool with that?
  10. Just bump it. I'm not going to charge you the extra EE just for having an edit go through. Also, my apologies. Looks like Fulcrum had actually downed the last robot. I really haven't been paying much attention here. However, there is still one unconscious robot spewing hazardous (at least to fulcrum) rays all over the place. Would Wisp like to do anything about that?
  11. Breella, just so your aware, that last line that Zach said was directed at Gwen, though it doesn't seem you had her respond to it or notice it or anything... Also, I'm going to say that for any character that wants to scrutinize Zach's excuse for being late, I'll say you automatically can tell he's lying. Or at least not telling the whole truth. You're pretty sure he wasn't training. Or if he was, the training wasn't the entire reason he was late. There was something else, but you have no clue what it might have been.
  12. Sorry for not quite showing up on time. To be clear, I haven't read the entire thread yet, I'm just trying to get my foot in the door with that last post.
  13. Well, that's going to make this building party kind of awkward. Zach finally returned his sister's sending after what seemed like ages. Still, no future is set in stone. Even the Tekton's master masons know that. We'll just see how these things play out. Besides, how serious can they be after such a short time? Zach floated through the air toward the group. Once he was close enough, the teen dropped to the ground rather rapidly. A solid thud resounded as his feet hit the ground and made to deep impressions in the soil near the greenhouse they were building. He hadn't damaged the lawn, thankfully. "Hi, everyone!" Zach gave a friendly wave and smiled from behind his reddish tinted sunglasses. "I'm so sorry I'm late," He said, approaching Gwen, "You wouldn't believe the training session Mr. Archer had me doing." And before you ask, Sis, I did check. The last two gemstones are still safely hidden under ground.
  14. So, yea... Just replied to a bunch of the stuff that I missed over the weekend, and yet there is ever more to go. I'm going take probably the rest of the day off till I get my IRL stuff sorted after my vacation. Then I'll check back if I've got time. I'm back in action, albeit slowly...
  15. "Reckon y'all don't haf't tell m'twice!" Colt practically ripped his pistol from the holster at his side. Not a quarter of a second after the gun left the pouch, he began firing bullets. Lots of bullets. He fired them in between every one of Dynamos' steps, around him, behind him, in front of him. Every point on the creature that looked weak, Colt zeroed in on and attacked. Those of the Interceptors that had ever had the time to examine Colt's signature firearm, knew that the gun had eight chambers. Strangely, he was firing a lot more than eight bullets. Either he was reloading so fast that they couldn't tell, or the gun had some sort of strange ability to preserve the ammunition inside of it. Either way, no one could deny the effectiveness of the hailstorm of bullets Colt now launched at the creature. "This here town ain't big'nuff fer th'two'a us." Colt raised his gun and blow smoke from the barrels. He released the clip, and bullets poured from the gun, jangling on the ground at his feet. He replaced them with a new clip. "Y'all're just too damn big'n evil." He flicked his wrist and the moon clip on his gun closed with confident, practiced grace.
  16. Same as Jack, didn't get the chance to clear the fatigue. He does so now. I don't believe he has any sustained or concentration powers to maintain. Should I even bother rolling? This thread needs more shooting, clearly. Colt's going to roll on this one rather than using the aiming shenanigans he did last time. So full round action, power attack 5. Power attack 5 auto fire 3 (1d20+15=34) Mmmm taste that improved critical feat So he hits def 34. The rank of the power is 10 + 5 (power attack) + 5 (Crit) +X (Autofire; 1 for 1; Maximum bonus 10) = DC35 + X. Yum. Tasty.
  17. Okay, Heritage and I are thinking of throwing the Twins in. I'll get on that soon.
  18. Zach was mostly silent throughout the entire tour. He was doing his best to remember where everything was and how to travel from place to place the quickest. Like his sister, he was slightly bummed that there wasn't any system of tunnels connecting the multitude of class buildings. He too wanted to see the machines in the basement that Vicky spoke of. But he decided that could wait until later. "Unlike my sister, I've got a little more experience in that department. Though, my powers are of a different nature. It tends to be advantageous when your powers don't cause you to change size or shape. I find the subtle nature of them causes a lot of underestimation on my opponent's part. Perhaps we should take a look at this gym? Though I know John might be interested. Do you have a way of contacting each other remotely?" Zach asked, used to sending messages to his sister and other Tektani. "I see..." Zach trailed off, someone upset that Gwen was leaving their group.
  19. somewhat interested, wondering if I missed the boat or what?
  20. Oh please, Breela, me leaving for the weekend is too common of an occurance, though thanks for the sentiments :)
  21. Colt stood in silence, cradling his beloved pixie, Jack had done a good job in saying what needed to be said, so he didn't bother adding any more. When Thrude, Willow, and Ferros entered, he acknowledged them, but didn't bother with verbal greetings, as Jack likely didn't need anything else to have to shout over. Finally, Colt added his own voice to Jack's, "I reckon'e's right, damn it." He cast a glance down at Grimalkin, "We're all hurtin' y'see." "Thurde? Y'all tak'a 'nother step. Say 'nother damn word'n, so help me, you're gods, her's," He glanced at Willow, "Hers," He glanced at Willow, "'N Omega him damn self won't stop me from shootin' ya where ya stand." Colt fixed Thurde with a stare that was so hard and unmoving the very fact that it came from a cowboy, a man, made her stop and listen. For over a year, Colt along with Jack had been the rock the Interceptors had been built on. Their newest members were about to see why. "Tak'a minute'n think." He told her, "Them's't ferget history's the ones't're bound't repeat't. Yer own father had's mind dominated. Y'all don't think't if'n 'e could take all'a that back'e would? Well open yer eye. Same thing's happenen here. Somethin's got controll'a Doc. An'e Sure's hell don't need no electric shock therapy!" Colt moved to stand in front of Archville with Fulcrum. "Naw I know yer th'type't shoot first'n ask questions later, but that ain't how we do things'n these parts. An' we sure's hell don't parade through the city streets carryin' severed heads. We. Are. Interceptors. We. Do. Not. Stand. For. This! An' Retired're not, I won't stand fer't neither." Colt shot a glance at every person in the room, "First we find out what's goin' on. Then we make our move." He looked down at Grimalkin, "Before anyone else git's hurt."
  22. The sound of Jet engines roared to a stop outside the building. Willow appeared, and a moment later, Ferros strode through the front door as Geckoman shut down the pitchoo. A good many faces turned his direction, "Yea, Jack, They're alright, ya know? Geckoman's outside right now. I'll keep the introductions short. I'm Ferros, Dok recruited me last week. I was supposed to show today and see if the rest of the team was cool with it. But when I was a block away, the Brownstone exploded. Thrude, Willow, and Geckoman are lucky I was nearby, I lifted the entire wreckage of the house off them." The implacable steel mask on Ferros face shifted. It created an eyebrow above the right eye that was ever present, and in short order, the eyebrow raised itself. "Hey, now, I don't know what's going on, and I'm new so this may not even be my place." Ferros turned and leaned up against the door frame, "But I'm here to help, ya know?"
