  1. Sage smothered an inappropriate burst of laughter at Mark’s statement as she replied, --No Mark, this isn’t about the thing with Faith.-- Eve shook her head, "But whatever that thing is I'm sure I don't want to know." she thought to herself. Sage nodded at Hellion's suggestion and expanded her telepathic contact to include her impromptu teammates. --As for how I got here I'll tell you later, right now we need to get you out.--
  2. Sage let her extended senses unravel and as she opened her eyes she was once again viewing the world from the “proper” angle. With her body half-turned toward the door, Sage noted Martha Lucas’ appearance out of the corner of her eye but she ignored the woman for the time being, her eyes fixed in the direction of Mark’s room. Tired from stretching her abilities and disturbed by what she saw, Sage was only happy Faith wasn’t here to witness this. More out of habit than any conscious effort, the young telepath once again started to monitor the surface thoughts of those around her, while sending a probing thought to the trapped person who she could only hope was Mark. --Mark?--
  3. Stunting off Sage's Array, eating the fatigue. ESP 5, All Senses, Subtle.
  4. --Well then,-- Sage thought to other teen heroes, --Let's see if anyone is home.-- Closing her eyes the teen telepath projected her awareness outward and experienced a brief wave of vertigo from the overlapping sensory signals, especially from her disembodied sight. Taking a brief moment to center herself Sage cast her perception beyond the door to the Lucas homestead.
  5. Sage simply shrugged and made her way through the cabin to where the hostages were being held. She didn't know how she was going to get herself or the hostages off the crippled vessel and only hoped that Fulcrum would finish her fight soon. As Sage neared the former hostages one look told her that they too heard the sound of weakening supports. --Your attention please,-- the teen telepath thought to the officers, --I need every to remain cal..-- Sage abruptly cut off as there was a sickening noice of metal tearing from metal as the nose of the cabin ripped free and drooped, knocking Sage and the officers from their feet and pitching them to the front of the airship. And then the rear tore away. Mind clouded by terror, Sage subconsciously reached out and 'grabbed' the plummeting structure with her mind her eyes flaring an electric blue. As she brought the cabin's fall to a halt she came to realize that she herself was floating several inches above the deck, ethereal wings of orange and blue flared up behind her. Taking a moment to catch her breath, the white-haired psychic lowered the cabin in a far more controlled manner.

  7. Eve sighed, knowing James and Erin were right. Looking down on the world through the monitor, Eve admitted to herself that her reasons for wanting to keep things as they are were entirely selfish. "The family would be so ashamed if they knew this," she thought. The Martels have been the quiet defenders of humanity for nearly 1300 years, and the shame of placing her desires above what is right knotted her heart. Gesturing at the conspicuous patriotic dress she was still wearing Eve asked, "Is there a place I can change?" Reaching out to touch the monitor showing the planet below, she quietly added, "We have a world to save." The last line started out spoken but switched to telepathy halfway through, punctuated with a quickly smothered burst of regret.

  10. Sage glanced at Midnight frowning, then quickly glanced away. Though her outward expression was relatively calm, interally she was unnerved by the utter lack of emotion displayed by Trevor, and unfortunatnly due to her nature those around her could easily sense this. "How can you say that?" Sage whispered, green eyes fixed on the monitor. Whirling around to face Trevor squarely, she repeated, "How can you say that? The people out there, their minds are real. Look at that world below. The air is clean, the water is clear, there is no war and no poverty. Why would you want to change something so beautiful, so right." "Besides, what would be the point? Mark would still be dead." "And I will lose my voice," Eve thought to herself.
  11. Turning slightly to look at Trevor, Sage touched him lightly on the forearm, a sense of gratitude laced with embarrassment emenating from her. Stepping away from the lanky youth, Eve took a closer look at the Lucas homestead on the monitor. "I could probably find him, unless he is on the other side of the planet," the telepath stated in a soft French-accented soprano, "but then what?" Glancing at Wander, Eve shrugged. "If it is as you say and we might be erased if we do not follow the rules, perhaps we should simply accept things as they are. This world may not be the one that we were born into, but it is a good world." "Besides, even if we could do something about this and the world reverts to the way it was, would we not be effectively murdering a whole planet?"
  12. Sage knew this wasn't the world they left, she only needed to utter a word, any word, to confirm that. That and she would never consider dating someone so scruffy looking, or one who wore that much green. About to level a biting retort at Geckoman, she realized that, despite how happy she felt now she would always know, deep down, that it was wrong. "Je suis vraiment désolé," she whispered, her vision blurring slightly. "I .. I cannot do this." Turning, Eve fled the stage.
  13. Yeah, I can't get to this until later tonight. Sorry :(

  15. Sage darted after Klansman, her keen eyes picking out his egress through the swirling smoke. Though taking care to remain unoticed, the white haired telepath quickly caught up with the superbigot. --Running away from a little mutie girl?-- Sage thought to Klansman, her 'voice' taking a contemptuous tone. From her position in cover, Sage focused her thoughts and 'blade' of telekinetic force flared into being. The blade looked like an elongated triangle of vivid ice blue with striations of brilliant orange dancing along its surface. --Defend yourself!-- the telepath shouted while launching a vicious attack at her foe.
  16. Sage will Take 10 on Notice (Skill Mastery), giving her a 25. Strike 10 Attack vs Klansman. 1d20+10=30. Natural 20 (assuming this is a crit, Toughness DC 30, otherwise DC 25).
  17. "Of course," murmered Eve. "I'm sure he's on his way." Glancing at the door to the changing room the green-eyed psychic (and teen music sensation!) offered an apologetic smile. "Could you excuse me for one moment, please? I always like to spend just a few minutes to myself prior to a performance." Breaking into a wide grin, Eve admitted, "I get so nervous!" Consenting to her request, the attendants left the room giving Sage much needed privacy. Closing her eyes and turning her thoughts inward, Eve gradually became aware of her surroundings from a perspective outside her body. "Now where are you, Chris?" she thought, casting her awareness out, searching for that surprisingly familiar mind. Filtering innumerable minds, spread all throughtout the continent (and then some) from her awareness and picking up on a thread of thought from Chris Kenzie, Eve traces it back to the source. Eve's awareness settles just in time to see the Raven deck Spellbound. --Chris! Whatever are you doing?! You're supposed to be at Claremont. Don't tell me you forgot!-- Eve's mental voice was playfully scolding, and then she took stock of the scene "before" her and the playfulness leached from her voice --Raven, that was not a very gentlemanly thing to do.--
  18. SEARCHing for Chris Kenzie via Telelocate 1d20+12=28. Also spending an HP bribe to speed it up.
  19. Eve smiled and shook her head. --Of course I do not mind.-- the young telepath projected, raking a hand through her niveous hair. --We were on our way to Mr. Summers. I need to check in and let him know I'm here.--
  20. Sage had quietly slipped into the old, abandoned arena while Wander was beating the snot (and other assorted ichors) out of Dead Head. Wearing dark loose-fitting clothing, Sage wandered the perimeter avoiding the fight and making what she thought was a reasonable attempt at avoiding notice. She recognized Wander from Claremont but did not recognize the revolting creature she was wailing on. Still, she assumed from the lack of immediate intervention by the others assembled that this had at least some tacit approval. Eventually the fight ended rather abruptly, through some signal Sage didn't catch, and Wander dashed off with a blank look on her face. A brief amount of time passed before Wander wandered back in in the company of a man Sage remembered noticing earlier but didn't see leave. Rolling her shoulders with a small shrug the young telepath settled back agains the wall with her arms folded. She wasn't fighting tonight, but she figured she could still learn by watching.
  21. --Ah, pleasure meeting you Trevor Hunter-- Sage thought at Trevor. --I am truly sorry for this invasion of privacy,-- she thought to both Trevor and Aiko, as she tried, and failed, to stifle her acute sense of embarassment, --but as I was explaining to Aiko here I need some way to communicate and I am sure most of the students, or faculty for that matter, do not understand sign language.--

  23. That small voice in the back of Eve’s mind was bothering her. It kept nagging her, telling her that this was all wrong, that this was not the way things were supposed to be. And Eve was trying her best to ignore it, though she wasn't having much luck in that. Both Martel girls finished getting ready and were on their way to Claremont High. Eve half-listened to the smalltalk of Faith, every so often offering a word or two in comment and reveling in the sound of the soft soprano she hadn't heard for two years. "Whatever Mark's father did," Eve thought, sitting in the backseat watching the scenery pass by, "it gave me my voice back. Things are, admittedly, a little different, but aren't people always saying that not all change is bad?" Eve frowned, but with her head turned looking out the window nobody in the car noticed. "This is good. But why is it bothering me so much?"
