  1. El Heraldo blow struck home true and the massive Avian was stunned by the force of the blow. Blodeuwedd meanwhile shook her head to recover her thoughts. The first instinct was anger, but she had always been taught to stay calm that wouldn’t help at all. She took a few breaths to calm herself and rcover her composure. “I’m fine El Heraldo, just a bit of shock, must learn to be more careful.†She stood beside her college and made a series of swipes towards the Avian warrior, they all struck home but didn’t seem to do much harm.
  2. Toughness Save 1d20+10=11, much better so Staggered and Dazed. Blod attack 1d20+9=15, nah let's go for a reroll 1d20+9=12, so with the handy +10 that's a hit. Another Toughness save for Blessed 1d20+10=28, so he's just holding on. Take him down EH!
  3. There was a tiny flash of disappointment in Robespierre face but he carried on. “Domremy was the birthplace of Jeanne d’Arc. Indeed in this matter the Countess has been quite clever. She has never made any claims of such but already people are suggesting she is decedent of the Maid of Orleans. And of cause Jeanne was a Kingmaker.†He took a piece of paper from the table though he didn’t seem to need to refer to it’s contents. “She also claims to be filled with the spirit of Gallia, the ancient spirit of this land. And indeed there are stories of feats similar to this damn Britannia or our own beloved Marianne." He put down the sheet and fixed Rene with his piercing glare. “I need an volunteer, someone who knows something of this world. Unfortunately all of this cities men of the Science of the Occult seem to be known to the Countess and her allies.â€
  4. Before I forget we both get a HP for our Secret ID complication. Can you also give me a Notice roll DC 10
  5. “Y’know she might actually have a point.†This was Merge Prime standing at the top of the audience “But not everyone, we still need some unimportant people, more hostages means more attention. Let’s say a third†This was Merge Two by the door “l suppose that means me then.†This was Merge Three on the stage. She stuck her tongue out at Agnes, who the two had been staring each other out for a few seconds, and moved to the front of the audience. “Ennie, Minnie, minie, mo … you!†seeming at random Merge Three picked out member of the audience and bought them out to the front, before hustling them out of the second door into the parking lot. Whilst this was all going on Agnes managed to get close to Liz before whispering to her friend. “When the time’s right I’m going to distract them. Try and sneak out of here and find out what’s going one. I’m probably a little too obvious to sneak out.†Despite the situation she couldn’t help but smile.
  6. The dark didn’t feel quite as oppressive as before, but it still made it impossible to hit anything. And boy was Lorenzo was beginning to get annoying. “If animals created gods they too would create them in their own image, that Xenophanes by the way. Much better than all the Social Darwinism you pushing, you probably want to try and read some other books that aren't filled with so much hate. I'm pretty sure that one of us is going to have a invoke Godwin’s laws soon and thats just going to get nasty.â€
  7. Keeping her eye on everyone else she carried on her assault on her original target. One thing she’d learnt in her years was never to leave an injured opponent; they tended to be the most dangerous of them all. Still they seemed to be winning for now, well at least not failing badly, so that was a plus. “I’d lecture you on the errors of your way and how you all one wrong side, but I’d doubt you’d listern. My I suggest instead you all surrender and let us do what necessary?†As she spoke she gave a series of quick efficient little blows to her target, it didn’t do to waste opportunities like that, and may go some ways to convince them to give up the fight.
  8. Stright up attack on Mr Necromancer again, 1d20+12=29 so another DC 27 Toughness roll for him.
  9. Another blast then 1d20+8-2=17. Still missing .
  10. Blodeuwedd leaned in a little to the large man at her feet. “Of cause let me try diplomacy. We’re not here…†He however was having none of it and with a speed that surprised the young heroine he swung with his hammer as he leapt to his feet. The blow connected with some force and Blodeuwedd was left stunned by the sudden attack. “YOU SILVERY WORDS WILL NOT DISTRACT ME FROM MY TASK. I WILL DEFEAT YOU ALL IF NEED BE.†He swung his arms out wide and the crowd noticeably moved that little bit further back.
  11. So he has to resist any damage from the throw, 1d20+10=28, and is okay. Unfortunately for Blodeuwedd he still has the drop on her so he' s going to attempt an attack 1d20+8=20. Which is hit so she has to resist the damage 1d20+8=20, so Dazed and Bruised. So back round to EH, we've got him just where we wanted .
  12. A Knowledge (History) roll DC 10 to know the significance of Domremy.
  13. “I have heard just such thing explained by men of Science, but never with such poetry. I believe you have the soul of an artist Citizen deSaens. It is such a shame that the Revolution forces us to play these parts. Maybe when this is over and France is free of tyranny you may able to go to the Academy.†For a moment Robespierre seemed wistful, but quickly he was his normal self. He picked up the report and waved it in the air “The actions of this woman, and the other Britain’s playing hero do not concern me. A few less of the deserving meet Madame Guillotine. But in Britain they can do no harm, they do not dare to make war with the mighty France. No what concern me more is the reports of someone calling herself the Countess of Domremy. “
  14. The Merge Trois nearest Liz leant in towards her and made a little gesture with her hand “It’s all about the Benjamines baby. This young talented woman here†she gave a wide sweeping gesture towards Ami Hu “Must be worth quite a bit to this studio, among others concerns. And this woman might be past her prime.†She stood in front of Agnes and looked up at the much taller woman “Much be worth at least a few Quid†she put on awful fake British accent. Agnes for her part just kept her cool and gave a tight little smile. “Going to be tough spending all that cheeda in lockdown.†She put on a near perfect local accent, similar to Merge’s own “If this is just about me and her, than just let everyone else go.†The main Merge just shook her head “I’m afraid there are just too many valuable people in this crowd to let anyone go just yet.â€
  15. A thin smile crossed Robespierre’s lips. “You choose you words carefully, there might a future for you as a Politician. You know me by reputation of cause but if you are loyal to the republic you will have nothing to fear. And if I thought you less than loyal you would not be here you would be elsewhere.†He poured Rene a glass of wine and placed it before him before taking a sip from his own glass. “And what of our own brave sweet Marianne? There have been tales of a young woman who has come to assist our brave troops, who has render them aid and could not be harmed by sword or musket. Not all of these stories could be tales from those filled with the honour of war?â€
  16. Offices of Maximilien Robespierre 4th Thermidor AN II (22nd July 1794) Despite the power and influence that Citizen Robespierre carried he was not one for extravagance, so the offices he occupied were a simple uncluttered affair. As Rene deSaens was showing in by rather nervous secretary he was waved into a seat as Robespierre carried on reading. “It says here that some prisoners of the state were rescued by a woman referring to herself as Britannia. They even swear that she glowed faintly and was stronger than any man they had faced.†With that he put his reading glasses on the desk and looked up at staring into Rene with his searching brown eyes. “But do you believe such stories Citizen deSaens? After all we are living in an Age of Reason.â€
  17. For convince sake everything is now being spoken in French, unless noted otherwise.
  18. Aliments Avenir Restaurant, 15th July 2012 Something was amiss with Rene, it didn’t take a detective to work that out. He seemed his normally friendly self but Lucy could tell that something was playing on his mind. The finally straw was when he didn’t comment on a very expensive bottle of Cognac. But she knew he’d never tell her directly, so a different tact was needed. “I believe you promised to tell me a little of your past. So let us sit upon the ground and tell tales as Shakespeare would say. “
  19. Lucy gave a little smile. “Well you’d be in luck Penitents friend gave me this before we left.†She got from her pocket a neatly folded bit of paper on which someone had hastly scrawled some number “I think this may be his telephone number. And if it is I’m sure they must have a way to contact each other.†She looked puzzled for a moment “Though I’m not quite sure why he has such a fascination we me?†Her face was perfectly neutral and with her eyes it was impossible to tell if she was being serious or not.
  20. Well like Lady Liberty or Britannia she'll have a host body so you won't have to worry about her spirit. I'll try to get something ready for next week.
  21. “Pft. The gym his is all fancy with all those toy and stuff, but personally I don’t think you need them all. Give me a bracing hilly countryside, or atop the cities rooftops, and maybe some simple gym equipment and I’ll be just as dandy as someone using all that fancy stuff.†Blodeuwedd realised she’d been ranting a bit and give them all a slightly embarrassed look. “Well that’s my opinion, I sure others will disagree. The pool here’s nice at least.†She gave a rather weak smile and carried on walking.
  22. Merge Trois gave a little mock curtsey. “And I’m help but my very, very, close and personal friends Merge Trois...†Another spotlight and the monitor showed another Merge guarding the entrance to the studio who gave a little salute “...and of cause Merge Trois.†This Merge was escorting all those from backstage onto the stage." She gave a friendly little wave. “So you are all now my hostages.†She tilted her head and gave a gormless expression “But Merge are you crazy? Freedom City is full of Superheroes, some of which could be in this very room right now.†Looked around sweeping her arms for emphasis. “Well I’ve thought of that and thanks to my good friend Camera Obscura I can keep a watch on all of you.†She sweep her arms out and the screen displayed a live shot the entire audience, with one section sweeping over everyone before panning back to the stage.
