  1. “I suggest we resume searching for the source as soon as possible. And if I may I have something to say to this creature…†She leaned in towards the man and switched to her native Welsh. <â€How DARE you have the gall to think you speak on behalf of my people, we want nothing to do with a conflict that everyone involved has been dust for thousands of millennium.â€> she held Dyrnwyn to the man throat to illustrate the point its unnatural flame casting a glow on there faces <â€I have sworn my life and if necessary my death to ensure entities like yourself no longer meddle in the affair of humanity. You kind are now bound by a Compact, I suggest you retreat now before we are force to destroy your Earthly form.â€> She stepped back and lowered the sword. “We must act quick, I may have annoyed him.â€
  2. I haven't forgot these two, just been a little busy and all. As planned I'm think three in each thread, KoS, Rene and Sage for the French themed thread and Wave-Eye, Ironclad and which ever one Azuth chooses (I can work with either). Possibly maybe something the weekend.
  3. Blodeuwedd, El Heraldo and Lord Steam go looking for Avians.
  4. Lord Steam was perplexed. The statue was rather crude and stylized figure of a wing humanoid, it was also playing a tune. The tune was what had stopped Lord Steam just disposing of the item for it was playing a Music Hall ditty “I'm a poor hungry woman and I want a knob...†and tune which this world had never discovered. With the statue was an invitation, in a Golden Envelope monogrammed with a V, inviting him to something called a Steampunk Convention this very day. Subito also had a surprise this morning, a package from back home, but the joy quickly turned to confusion at the contents. Inside was a very expensive looking Top Hat which appeared to be an almost perfect fit. He didn’t have long to ponder this before his phone rung, a call from Cerys. “I think I’ve been handed a clue to that artifact's owner. I hope you’ve got something suitable to wear were going to a Steampunk convention!â€
  5. Blodeuwedd was perplexed. She had spent months trying to track down the source of the statue but every lead led nowhere. She’d call in a few favour and gotten hold of some very secretive information but she was missing that one clue necessary to put all the clues together. She’d got the dorm room to herself this morning and she’d spread all her evidence across the floor trying to will it to make some sense when she spotted it. Casually resting on her sword stand was a large golden envelope inscribed with a rather fancy V. Inside was an invitation to the annual gathering of the Freedoninan Steampunk Convention. She’d heard about them, how they dressed up as Victorians and pretended that the last 100 years hadn’t happened or at least involved more brass and steam. The other thing she’d knew about them was that there was one guest they’d always hoped they could temp to attend…
  6. No I'm cool with that. A little bit of violence is a given, comes with the territory, but we might try some diplomacy as well!
  7. Sorry must have missed this during my updates, here's my Notice 1d20+11-8=8. Um well so no real difference then .
  8. If you think we've got enough to do for two threads then I say go for it. Though I suspect we'd have more going on during a night out, unless CT has some very interesting meals! :)
  9. I'm with Semi, not knowing is half the fun .
  10. Will Save 1d20+6+2=13, alas my poor HP 1d20+6+2=13 +10 so finally a 23.
  11. “If I may Citizen Robespierre. We have been investigating this group for possible traitorous activities for some months and have discovered where they meet. I have some ideas of how we can attract there attention of the Countess, but we do not need to burden Citizen Robespierre with all the details.†With the grace of a seasoned professional Robespierre pick up from where Madame Mouron had left off “All I ask of you is to get an audience with this Countess, if she is a harmless crank dreaming of a lost age then we can easily deal with her. If she has the power ascribed to her then you must try to manoeuvre her into a trap. So that we can capture and contain the treat she may bring to the Republic.â€
  12. She gave one of her warm welcoming smilesâ€Please call me Lucy. And you going to need this…†she handed him a ladle “…we could use all the help we can feeding this little lot. You can explain the problem you’re having as we serve.†She looked at him with her pitch black eyes “It’s not as if it’s a secret about what I am around here, and for the most part these people have accepted what I am and are comfortable with it.†Though a few of them had been a little weird around her for the last couple of months, with some mumbled storied of a Zombie plague. She hadn’t been able to find out much more about it than that and had decided to bide her time, it this City answer seemed to eventually find you.
  13. A cheer went up among the crowd and feeling that the show was now over people went back to their drinking and dancing. Feeling that it was now safe, the clubs security came over to help secure the birdlike warrior. The danger now over Blodeuwedd's mind returned to the problem in hand, with El Heraldo hogging all the limelight she had already faded into the background and was now planning on slipping away. “I’m going to try and find out what I can on where my contact got this artifact from, can you handle the police for me? Best to leave its existence out of the story until we know a little more about what it’s for.â€
  14. Agnes paused a little just above the chain. The whole wanting to be found made her nervous it reminded her of the whole One Ring thing from Lord of the Rings. And she wasn’t exactly keen on being the Chains equivalent to Gollum. But there was a good chance that they need this bloody thing to get home and she was ready to live another lifetime stuck in the past without her iPhone and Mocha coffees, amongst much more personal items… Trying to minimize the contact between her and chain she gingerly pick it up and made back towards the surface.
  15. “I’d love to give you another go, but they tend to frown upon people climbing outside the Library, or even the Main building. There was this incident…†despite herself she blushed a little. She wasn’t quite sure exactly what the problem was the line had deployed in time and no one, especially her, had gotten hurt. But people had gotten upset over the whole thing, and she had been told not to try something like that ever again. “If you want to test your mettle against us the Gym’s got a Basketball court, we could always Shoot some Hoops. After all how hard can it be? It’s just like Netball but with more moving around.â€
  16. “I’m not sure about that, the Grue play there card pretty close to their chest, but they certainly must have an interest to defend the Tine from the Lor.†She studied the display for a few second, seemingly lost in thought. Most races would considering dealing with both the Lor and the Grue a daunting prospect very few who got caught between the two races came out on top. “Well I won’t say this doesn’t complicate thing, but owe you for all you’ve done for my species, and I’ve always wanted to test my mettle against the likes of this lot.†She gave an evil looking smile showing an array of perfect teeth. “I guess our contract with the Tine is null and void. You may not pay any better, or at all, but it going to be a much more interesting time. But I need to know what you've going to do, meet me in an hour in my cabin and have yourself something of a plan.†She leaned in to whisper “And you might as well bring that ally of yours that’s been skulking around…â€
  17. “All loyal men are old enough to serve the revolution. It is the young like yourself that feel more fiercely the passion of a cause, and our opponents are also aware of them. Some don’t have the stomach for the sacrifices we must make for the new age.†His eyes had lit up and he seemed momentarily more animated. “And they will not know you beyond a disgruntled soldier of the revolution. I need you to get into your company and discern if she has the talents ascribed to her. And you will not go in alone I have asked the Committee of General Security to send an agent to assist you.†“And that wold be my cue...†Into the office breezed an young woman, barely older than Rene, followed by Robespierre’s rather hassled secretary. She was dressed plainly in a simple white blouse and red dress, her long curly black hair simply tied back, but she still had a simple beauty about her. “Ah, Rene deSaens may I introduce Constance Mouron.â€
  18. Lucy liked to help out the place where she first found her feet, and her short time on the streets had shown her how tough that lifestyle was. And she had had the advantage of not feeling the cold or even needing to sleep. There was something about helping out at the soup kitchen, to see the best and the worst of humanity helped keep her grounded. She’d seen many wonderful things over the past year, she’d thought radioactive men and dragons, but this little thing she spent her spare time doing she was most proud of.
  19. Toughness Save 1d20+10=27, that a Bruised which pushes him to unconcious. Post away! Did I mention a sequel .
  20. She may not particularly like the man but bugger if she was going to let him drown. Without a pause she dived into the water to fish the man out. Cause it helped that she didn’t need to breathe... She carefully put Lorenzo at Subito feet. . God it was good to be out of the darkness. “Keep an eye on him, I’m going to try and find that chain. Better keep him away from the Adams family up there as well; they seem to dislike him almost as much as us.†With that she dived into the water search to search for the chain, the water softly glowing with her aura.
  21. I'm happy to carry on for a bit, I always figured it would be a challenge to get back home!
  22. Not quite. She's released a third of the audience, so 2/3 of the audience are still there plus all those on the stage.
  23. Agnes gave a little smile as the Speedster arrived. “I’ve always felt a little uncomfortable standing in this city wearing this costume. But hey I should be okay; the Spice Girls were years ago.†She turned and started heading from the main buildings. “I figured subtly was right out in this case so I called ahead and made an appointment, so they should be expecting us. You seem to know quite a bit about the Medical side of things, so I’m happy for you to take the lead. I know this stuff but not to same level of detail.â€
