  1. Okay, everyone but White Knight and Fulcrum are out of initiative.
  2. Sage's devastating strike went right in one side of Klansman's head and came out the other! "Yeargh!" He convulsed and fell, twitching, his brain well and truly fried by the silent siren's strike. That left the teens alone in the damaged airship, the ominous sounds coming from the creaking gondola telling them that they didn't have much time to rescue all the hostages! And meanwhile, outside a battle was raging.
  3. Twin flares of ionic energy resounded again, pulling Trevor and Eve up aboard Hell-Ion's whirling chariot of the spaceways. They arrived to find the teen champions in the middle of an argument about Mark and Spellbound, one with no clear resolution. As they looked down at the world below, they could see a clean, happy place full of contended people going about their business...for all that it was a world strangely devoid of people, with great swaths occupied by jungles, deserts, and other iconic landscapes even in areas actually occupied by people. It was a world built by an old man's dreams, as flawed as all human aspirations.

How lucky!
  5. "You're not going back there," Avenger promised her. Anger showed on his face at the violation of this young woman; the mortal life stolen from her. "We're going to find out who did this to you, and we're going to make them pay. Tell me about yourself," he suggested a moment later. "Who are you? What's your life been like?"
  6. It didn't take Kid Midnight long at all to find Eve, the young heroine standing shell-shocked just off-stage. "Trevor! Oh, thank the Lord you're here!" exclaimed the school's drama teacher, vaguely recognizable as the woman Trevor knew as the contemporary Lady Liberty of his own world. "She's having some kind of terrible stage fright breakdown! You've got to help her chase away the blues for the sake of our men in uniform!"
  7. A single lashing tentacle of slick, inky dots whipped out at Chris Kenzie, as if ready to pull him inside and make him disappear forever. But Wander's shout, and Chris' own nimble agility, seemed to interrupt something, and instead of grabbing him, it simply slapped against the back of his head, a thick, wet feeling as a faint afterglow of the slick black fluid of the universe itself seeped through his hair. But then the great shape in the shadows faded, leaving the two heroes alone in a quiet, empty house with an unconscious supervillain. A few moments later, Hell-Ion's teleporter reached them both, and they vanished in twin bursts of bright red ion fire.
  8. Wander's witty quip seemed to make her blow fly straight and true. She clobbered Spellbound with a single backhand swipe, sending the teen science witch tumbling to the ground with a loud thump. Just as Wander made her landing to take stock of herself, Chris, and the fallen villain, she saw the shadows behind Chris rise up into a single mass, a shambling, terrible form of inky blots reaching out for him!
  9. "I know the feeling," said Avenger quietly. He was quiet for a moment, studying her, before he spoke. "Because something like that happened to me a few years ago. Anya. The woman who attacked you was a vampire. I'm familiar with what kind of thing she was; what she did to you is how vampires like her make more of each other. She made you into a vampire." He was quiet at that, waiting for her response.
  10. Feel free to Notice and see what's going on, Ecal.
  11. Erin arrived in the middle of a battle; the flying, cackling witch above hurling fireballs at the 'Raven' as Chris whirled and jumped to avoid her attacks. He was keeping up his usual string of insults, but as Erin watched, the shadows in the deserted house were beginning to lengthen ever-so-slightly, a faint rim of inky black dots around their edges as they ever-so-slowly made their way towards the trash-talking hero.
  12. Still a cloud of drifting mist, Avenger rose high, just below where he thought Lukos was likely to be able to leap. He didn't know that for sure, of course, but he ad dealt with angry werewolves before. "Go on! Show them a werewolf's rage! Show them his hate!" He laughed, though he didn't really mean it. "Show them the ravening beast inside, the monster that forever tears you away from the heart and soul of man! Let every superhero in Freedom City know what you _really_ are!"
  13. Avenger does the most obnoxious thing possible under the circumstances. He flies to the ceiling and waits. He'll wait there till Lukos becomes exhausted, quote, if you want to skip ahead to that.
  14. Jack of all Blades' briefly neglected orange juice came up and poured itself all over the swordsman's face, too fast for the energy-wielding swashbuckler to react. As the juice dripped down Erik's face, Avenger appeared by the Underground door. "Gave you fair warning. See you all in a week." And with that, and perhaps a low chuckle, he was gone, this time with just a faint whisper in the air to mark his passage as he left the brownstone.
  15. Standard Action+Move-By Action+Speed 7 linked with Concealment. And yes, you all obviously get an additional HP (on top of the one for protecting your home) for when Avenger shows up again next week. ;)
  16. "You don't need to repay me," said Jack, shaking his head. She was in better shape than most, but her injuries and her change were both written obviously on her face and body."I want to help you, but you're going to have to help me first." He studied her, remembering those early, feral nights. "How did this happen to you?" he asked her.
  17. Sorus, if you want to go ahead and sing, you can just assume that Chris has (once again) been replaced with an evil duplicate from another dimension/the Grue/etc. ;)
  18. You should make a dynamic AP of Flight and Super-Strength. Buy Teleport 9 (flaw: only where light could go)? as an AP of your big array? Also, a 1 PP Immunity: The Sun?
  19. "I'll be back here in exactly a week," said Avenger evenly. "And I'll make my own way out," he added politely, wrapping the mask around his face again. "Seems fitting. Lock your doors. Can't stress that enough." He looked around at all of them, his face hard to read behind his mask. See how it goes from here. And with that, and with all of them looking, he was simply gone.
  20. "Ah'll give you both what you've got coming!" spat the Klansman, who drew a K-shaped bomb from his belt and hurled it at the ground. Between the rush of air from outside and the noise of the erupting smoke bomb, soon he'd disappeared into the depths of the airship behind them. Outside the kids could see White Knight and Fulcrum grappling with each other, the noise of super-powered punches audible even this far away.
  21. OK, I need a DC 25 Notice check from Sage and Rift. And then Sage will be up.
  22. "I know what you want." This was never an easy experience, Jack knew, and it was better to get it over with fast. Reaching into his shirt, he came out with an open medical bag full of blood, straight of his own stock, and tossed it to her so fast she caught it automatically. "Drink." It wasn't much of a command: he doubted she'd actually need one.
  23. The darkness around Anya slowly parted, revealing a tall, muscular man in an open-collared shirt and tight jeans, his dark hair cascading down to his shoulders. Kneeling down in front of her, he looked her in the eye. "Hello. My name is Jack." He gave her a steady look, piercing her with his eyes. "I'm here to help. But you need to calm down."
  24. A shimmer and flash of light got the suitably-disguised Trevor into a corner of Claremont High, an obvious reflection of his current high school. It wasn't that hard to find Sage, either, not with a vaguely-familiar Ms. Harcourt announcing to the auditorium full of admiring parents, teachers, and students, "Ladies and gentlemen, in honor of our brave soldiers, we're proud to present to you the Parisian Pixie, the Eiffel Idol: Eve Martel, here to sing our National Anthem!" And with that, everyone rose to clap, Sage bustling out in a hugely patriotic dress, an odd look on her face, as if her mind was elsewhere. Meanwhile, Hell-Ion's advanced sci-sensors had easily picked out Chris Kenzie, wearing a bizarre reflection of the Raven's costume as he battled a maniacally laughing witch-woman. All around him, though, at the very edges of the shadows, Hell-Ion could see the universe beginning to waver ever-so-slightly. - "Gecko-Man is reality," said Spellbound, still holding her jaw. "It's you who's fake! You who's a big bully who hits girls and acts like a big jerk! You're not what you're supposed to be at all. But when Geckoman and I destroy you," she said, her voice getting harder, "things will be right again, and he and I can be together forever and ever and ever and ever and..." She cackled and waggled her fingers, and Raven's boomerang turned into a hissing, venomous snake! "Destroy him, my pretty!""
