Rumor I heard is that they're only going to do that if the Capt. America movie also does good numbers. I'm kinda looking forward to that one, but the cartoon versions annoyed the crap outta me. Oh sure, Thor gets taken down in like three hits, but Giant Man comes back like twice after getting the crap kicked outta him by Hulk. As a Thor mark, that made me very annoyed at the writers. Same in the sequel, though at least it made a little more sense.

"You just make sure it gets where it needs to go. Otherwise you and I are going to have problems." Badb, without taking her eyes off the man or dropping her charge, releases her hostage and grabs the proof with her other hand. She puts it on the ground in front of her, nods and looks around for the remote that the women dropped earlier.

Hmm. I suppose I can always have her just telling other people to grab the cases. Whether or not they listen (and I would assume not) is up to them. She's in for whatever she's being paid for, but she does get caught up in battle frenzy. So I suppose we can say she's there to clear everyone else path to the cases and to grab one or two on the way out as needed? I want to be involved, but I'm kinda trying to shift my character away from being a merc. But then I also don't want to be the "I don't care if it annoys you, I'm in character" guy

I suppose my only off camera prep would be a scene with the contact, where I inform him that he's hired me only as protection, and I take no responsibility for him getting his merchandise. Yes, it's not great team play, but I am a solitary villainess with aggression issues. In game I may very well help with the snagging, but character wise I only intend to try and wail on people.

"You have the power to end this. I've got a package to deliver, you have the contacts to get it where it goes. So I'll make you a deal. You come down here, you take the package and you get it just as high up the chain of command as you can get it. Or, I do to you what I did to him. What's it gonna be?" Badb brings her arm up and prepares a shot."Trust me, you don't want to be a hero."

Was the lethal damage from the fall or from my hit? Also, unless that was the penalty you were talking about, the DC for my attacks should be 27, not 25.

"Big words coming from a man what tried to get me in a two on one. Bigger words considering ye obviously planned for more. I think I need to bring back down ta earth." Badb takes aim over the shoulder of her human shield and lets loose a blast. For a moment Badb considers shoving the evidence into the womens mouth, but dismisses the idea as possibly homicidal. Maybe she could toss it in the cab of the truck.

They put them back in for Leon the Professional. It is a little creepy, but still a great movie

Badb is just about to lay into one of the flying adversaries when something in her mind clicks. 'Get the proof into Grant Co. hands.' In her battle frenzy she had almost forgotten that part of the contract. Badb flies to the ground next to the knocked out women, before attempting to hoist her up and use her as a human shield. "You all work from Grant?," Badb asks while looking for a pocket on the womens outfit that she can slip the proof into. (OOC: I'm assuming the knockback didn't put the women out of my range.)

Badb seems to like this response, showing just the hint of a dangerous, sardonic smile. "If you want someone to hit things loud and hard them I'm in. Now I must ask, are we getting paid a flat right, or are we getting paid percentage? And where do you do the payments. I make it a point never to collect when hired guns are around."

'Guys in the air, probably better at dodging. Girl on the ground, less directions to move in.' With this thought in mind Badb brings up another energy blast and lets fly at the women. "I've beaten all you have thrown at me. Who else wishes to taste defeat!"

Ok, it is 10+power rank. That's what I thought but I wanted to make sure. Otherwise the character would have had almost no flaw.

I'm doing a build that pretty much calls for this flaw(unreliable doesn't fit) but I don't have UP. Could one of you guys with the book be kind enough to post the text of it, or explain it to me? thanks.

Can you PM some of the high lights from that first Convo? It's been awhile, and I've forgotten some of it.

Badb finishes her whiskey and looks around. This place was starting to get crowded. And they all seemed to smell the money. A lot of competition, not all that many desperate rich men in the grand scheme of things. Maybe it was time to start looking for other ways to seek battle.

Yeah, it's now going to take a while before I look at anything with alcohol in it and think, "ooh, that looks good." and If I ever have Wild Irish Rose ever again, it'll be because I can't find the ipecac. Other then the puking though, fun birthday.

Badb notices Ironhides annoyance. She's not surprised, but what did he expect? This is a competitive business. And it's not like she's had any offers lately. That seems to change just as soon as she thinks it, as Legend informs her of a possible employer. Another business men. These jobs tend to involve the more interesting characters. Badb grabs her drink and walks over to the table, where she sits down without saying a word.

"It's fairly simple really. Like any other city you have a group of obscenely rich people living just a few miles from what's basically a slum. Both sides will sometimes hire you for jobs. Anything from a simple smash and grab to corporate espionage. Obviously the people in north bay are more likely to want you ta do something about a business competitor then are the people living in the Fens. Tis much the same as were ever ye came from, even if the natives want to think it's a special and unique flower the likes of which has never been seen. It's just packed closer together is all." Badb signals for a refill of her whiskey and takes an appreciative sip. If your looking for tips on getting jobs, well, there I can't help you. Or more to the point, I won't. I'm sure ye can understand, we have to guard our sources.

'This can't be good.' Badb is understandably apprehensive about what's happening. Even just one trailer full of people is bad odds. Not that she'll let that stop her. That metal on the trucks can't have that high of a melting point. Perhaps she can fuse it together with a well placed blast. And failing that, hopefully it'll knock the door into someone. Hoping her gamble pays off, Badb releases her blast.

I already did post a Diplomacy check, it's in my post. I doubt it'll work(it's a 15), but I had to try.

"It looks worse than it really is, I assure ya" Badb cracks her neck to release some of the tension from her neck, looking grim. It wasn't often that she found herself unable to injure someone, but looking her opponent over, she didn't seem to have done much at all. "And I canna say that I work with a partner all too often. Not unless the job specifically calls for it."

My attempt is on hold until the end of the semester. I don't have the time or energy to get a campaign together.
