  1. It has it moments. Though it worries me for my eventual wedding. The point is fast approaching where cutting out the under 21 year olds won't do much.
  2. I can do you one(or more like 14) better. I have 39 first cousins, and about about 25 aunts and uncles. and they aren't even all married. Before you all ask, my family is Irish Catholic. We make the family from my Big Fat Greek Wedding look small.
  3. Sorry it took me so long to answer the question, I didn't see it when it was first posted. I'm flying just below the rafters, so as not to obstruct myself. I'll post specifics if anything changes. Is it my turn or the guards?
  4. I loved Soon I will be Invincible, I've read it twice. I'm currently in the middle of "Drinking Midnight Wine." It's very good adult fantasy(that's adult as in over 18, not adult as in Ron Jeremy.) It's funny without taking away from the story, and has some interesting takes on old ideas.

    A Strange Visitor

Gordy wasn't sure how to take the response he got from the spider. It certainly didn't seem all that promising for stopping the fighting in a timely manor. 'Well, I tried. They can't say I didn't.' Deciding for the moment to believe the spiders side of the argument, because lets face it, that's the only side he's heard, Gordy refrains from attacking them. But he certainly doesn't like the look of that spire. Gordy moves toward the spire as close as he can without putting himself directly into harms way by getting in between the two fighting factions, draws a breath, and lets fly with a wall of sound, hoping to hit the spire that seemed to be a focal point.
  6. Badb's years of training and experience serve her well as she flows with the bullets force, leaving her unhurt, but very angry. "That was a very bad choice." Badb takes aim and blasts the guard who had shot her, sending him into cold temporary oblivion. "Open the doors, or I swear to ye I'll bring this whole place down about your ears!
  7. Badb surveys her surroundings, taking in the double doors. Getting across all that open space on foot would be next to impossible, provided she wanted to stay quiet. Still the others will be here soon, if they aren't already, so staying quiet may not even matter. Perhaps it was time to raise a little havoc. Badb flies toward the double doors, aiming a blast at the guard on the left as she goes. Her blow connects, spinning the man around and taking him to the ground. "You! Open the door or ya get the same!"
  8. I really want to continue. I'd love to see where this is going.
  9. Knowing she has to be quick and quiet to pull this off, Badb waits for the patrolling guard to be at his furtherest distance from the door. Steeling herself, Badb darts from her hiding spot and makes toward the door, doing her best to open the door and slip in while the guard is distracted.
  10. While observing the guards, did I notice if they had to unlock the door on the top, or did they just walk inside?
  11. Badb watches as the trucks arrive. There's no concrete way of telling how long the trucks will be there, but she sees no reason to tip her hand too quickly, and decides to go with the slightly stealthy approach. Badb flies to the top of the building and looks for a place to hide where she can see the guard she's observed, but can't be seen by him. Or at least no easily.
  12. Oh, I know. I didn't mean actually kill, I meant hint that I might be dead. Though we'll cross that bridge in the event that we come to it. Personally I'm ready to go. I don't need much in the way of fancy planing.
  13. all right. lets see how it goes and if it turns out I'm slowing things way down we can comic book me out. drop the ceiling on me but don't mention i'm dead. actually that may be a good way for me to relaunch my character later.
  14. I like this idea. I was thinking about the ability to cash in points. Something around the 70-80 percent mark would be my idea. That way if you do it at a low level, it's only a little different then starting over, and if you get bored of a high level character, you don't feel trapped.
  15. Name Badb PL 11(156) Attack +9(with radiation control) +7 Def +13, FF +4 Damage +13 Tough +8(+3 Flat footed) Fort +7 Reflex +10 Will +6 How long do you think this will take. i leave for summer camp in about a month and will have limited computer access through most of the summer.
  16. "It was a spear, as one would expect coming from a man using the name of an Irish Folk Hero. And he hit me once. I assume that's significant?" Addie wasn't sure why that mattered, and she further more wasn't sure she cared. Not unless this was something for her to worry about. Or possibly more work.
  17. who's going in where? I can fly, so I'll go where needed.

    Character Edits

I know. I did it that way so I could remember how many points I had spent on my defense.

    Character Edits

I'd like to spend Badb's 6 points by up grading Radiation control to 13, BAB to 7 and BDB to 9 Updated by Heridfel
  20. "One of Grants goons with a jet pack received the package. Don't worry about him not being one of the higher ups. He scared enough that I'll kill him if he doesn't give them the proof. I figured it best not to tell him I don't kill. Not for your price anyhow." Addie pauses for a moment to catch her breath. "As for the damage, I roughed up a couple of thugs without a pair or braincells to rub together, knocked around some sort of human flashlight, brawled with a man who rather amusingly called himself Culchulainn, knocked out what might have been a business professional, and blasted one of the other jet packers into the rubble. I'm fairly certain he survived. I'm sure it's nothing they won't recover from in a few days, but it's enough for them to get the message."
  21. Fairly confident that no one is following her, Badb flies back to her car and changes once more into Addie. She drives home, adrenaline pumping through her veins, stereo blasting loud. Addie parks her car in her designated space, clubs it for safety(though in this town she knows it's more for mental security then anything else) and lets herself into her building. Quietly as she can, which is fairly quietly, Addie climbs the stairs to her own flat and unlocks the door. There's a message on the machine, but she ignores it as she picks up her phone and calls her contact number. "It's done. They have the proof, and a diminished fighting capacity."
  22. I had pretty much assumed that was going to be the plan. We could try stealth, but getting 5 people onto one ship? That might take some sort of miracle in the dice rolling department. And on a practical level, how many of the involved characters have good stealth?
  23. I'd have to look up the other questions, but a permanent power can still be nullified. As long as it's not innate, you can get that effect. As for how common, it probably depends on the other characters in the game.
  24. Should I have my meeting with trap door in this thread or somewhere else?
  25. Badb nods. If she can't spot the remote chances are no one else will see it without having to search for it. And by then she should be long gone. With only a short backward glance Badb takes off at top speed out toward the Arena. She has no intentions of actually going there, but figures it to be a good way to throw off any trackers.
