  1. Gordy adjusted his domino mask as he walked into the gym, wishing not for the first time that the school had better practice disguises. He hated having to wear his own mask that fit better, and this one smelled a little funny. 'Sure wish mom would hurry up and finish my new costume. Can't believe I outgrew the old one over summer. 'Bout time I had a growth spurt.' Gordy looked around in the gym, trying to figure out which exercise Mr. Summer would have him doing today. All he knew for sure was that he had to be ready with a new trick. Well, he had a new one. He hadn't thought of it over the summer like he was supposed to. He had in fact thought of it two days ago during math class, and had been unable to concentrate for the rest of the period. Not that he ever concentrated on math. "I'm ready!"
  2. I'd like to do a scene where I show the teachers what new tricks I came up with over the summer for my powers. any GM's want to pretend to be Duncan Summers?

    Character Edits

It seems for High Note I would need to lose the rank of attack focus(ranged), lower my force field rank by one and lose a rank of Perform singing, thus refunding me 2.25 points.

    Character Edits

I'd like to spend one of High Notes points on a rank of Ranged Attack Focus. Updated by Doc. (I also corrected the spelling of Webber & Sondheim's names )
  5. High Note is recently 15 and entering his second year at Claremont. He is the theater kid, obsessed with performing and his powers are sonic in nature. He fits the niche of questioning what he'll do with his powers as he gets older, and he feels a little put upon sometimes when he ends up playing the hero.
  6. I think for High Note I would have to go with someone like Billy Gilman(Country Singer) or Damien McGinty(Irish Singer). The important part would be that they have to sing.
  7. Well, I'm back and my character is a claremont atendee. Shoot me any ideas you have for campaigns or role play scenes.

    High Note

How I spent my summer vacation. Summer 2008 Well, what can be said, summer was AWESOME!! First getting to spend all of June and most of July on tour with the cast of Le Mis. Dream come true. I was spectacular if I do say myself. Some people are even talking Tony. Ok, well, mostly just me and my family members, but it's not impossible. Getting to just be out there and sing, in the spot light, and plucking the heart strings of a captive audience. Too bad I'll be too old for the role next year. Aw well, I'm sure I'll find something. I'll have to see if we get any writers are Claremont this year. Yeah, I'm going back, though I don't know if that's the best decision. It's not exactly going to impress the directors to see that I go to a school with almost NO drama program. But mom thinks it's best if I keep learning more about what I can do. And I can't really argue with her, she's mom. Only person who really still scares me. Well, her and that guy from all those snuff films everyone thinks are so good. He creeps me out. August was an outstanding month, though lord knows I didn't think it would be. Can you believe dad insisted I go to summer camp as part of the deal for letting me tour? I know. But camp rocked! I won the talent show, hands down. Or at least I would have if there had been a prize. Though they want me to submit songs in writing from here on out. Apparently Grease Lightning isn't camp appropriate. Not my fault they had never listened to the lyrics before. But I got to learn to kayak and shoot a bow. Not bad for a city boy huh? I wonder if that target practice will help me with my powers any? Probably not, but at least it was fun. And now of course I'm back. Have to finish reading 'To Kill a Mockingbird' by monday. I haven't started. It's boring. And then I'm supposed to show Mr. Summers something new I've come up with powerwise over the summer. I think I'll just scream real loud and see what grade that gets me. Why do they all think I'm going to be the next Captain Thunder? I want to sing and dance, not get punched in the face by huge alien or anything. Anyway, got to go. Gym class tomorrow, and I need some sleep.
  9. High Note: A theater obsessed student at Claremont Academy with a love of the spot light, High Note is still trying to figure out just who he wants to be with his powers.
  10. For now I'd rather just go with High Note. I'm not in the mood to play the villain, plus I want her return to be something of a surprise. I'm taking the oppertunity to do some character revisions.
  11. I'm back! Kinda. Now that I'm home from camp(it was awesome, so expect to lose me for the summer again next year), and have caught up with all my friends here in the real world, I'm finally ready to come back. Though i did just start back up the school year, so it may take me a while to jump back into posting. I'm hoping to write a "what I did on my summer vacation" post for my characters sometime soon. But this block promises to be more intense then last block. We'll see.
  12. I'm leaving for summer camp tomorrow(teaching archery) and I don't know what my computer access will be like there. I'm guessing poor. If in about a week I haven't been able to post, I'd like for my characters to be archived until the end of summer.
  13. Badb shakes off the cobwebs from the last hit and flies toward the front of the building, away from the door, putting herself right up against the wall for added stability. The Celtic villainess then aims a blast of horrible radiation at the robot in front of the door. "I'll show ya wha' happens when ye shoot at me."

    A Strange Visitor

High Note watches with mounting tension as the spire he had failed to hit grew even bigger. He was still taking the spiders at their words, though out of the corner of his eye he sees that he may be in the minority there. 'This better not get me arrested. I mean, it's a large spire, when are those ever good news. Hopefully it'll be easier to hit now,' he thinks as he draws in breath to let out a high pitched blast, sending it out toward the spire, hoping his attack will do anything.
  15. Fair enough. I still like this idea, but it's pretty much not worth it at 5 points a rank. If only I had upped my sonic control. Thanks for the help though, I'll probably bust this move out at a later point.
  16. Did pain get changed in UP? I'm looking at the Masterminds Manual and it's telling me th base cost is 4pp a rank. I would be keeping it as a will save, as it's more that the sound would mess with peoples minds(or in this case sensors. I hope)
  17. I have a power stunt I would like to try. I would like to AP the pain power off of my Sonic Control, but with the sense dependent and duration flaws, giving me Pain 4 Standard Action, Perception Range(Flaw, sense-dependent auditory) Duration-Instant. This should make the power two points per rank. I'd then like to add in the burst extra, making the power 3 points per rank, using 12 of the 14 usable points.
  18. Badb takes the hit square in the chest, knocking her into a fog and sending her flying back into the sails of the ship behind her. The pain from the shot is such that Badb cannot move for a moment. But she certainly is angry now.
  19. Is Mister Fix-It still in this, or am I up?
  20. where on the map am i supposed to be? toughness save vs 25 (1d20 9=20)
  21. I'm having trouble remembering if platform is supposed to be a flaw or an extra to flight. I'm sure someone on here would know.
  22. "You should be careful with such information. Where I another kind of person, I might take that as my cue to ask for more. But as it is, I'm content. If you need any thing else, ye know how to go about contacting me. For the right price, I'll put the hound of Ulster back into his grave. Leave the money on the building where I met you. I'll be there in an hour."
  23. Badb was tempted to give chase after the men, but they would provide her no challenge. No, she wasn't likely to face real battle until she got to the other side of the door. "I don' think they left the key. What do ye say we knock on the door until someone lets us in?" Badb fires upon the door with a great deal of precision. She waits for the glow to dim to see her effect on the barrier before her. (OOC: Expletive! I hate wasting nat 20's on non-combat rolls.)
  24. I'm sure if anyone on the board has figured out how to slow that process, it's the good Doctor. Happy Birthday.
  25. I need some clarification. CAn we not take ten against minions? That's why I didn't bother with an attack roll in my post.
