  1. Carmen behind the view of her magazine could see a rather similar view of Leon and Luke's bodies on display in the glistening pool. She'd have happily gone in, to take them up on the offer, but hesitated in getting up to join them. Whomever was in charge of the property in the absence of the owner surely did keep some care of the place, and she can appreciate that the pool wasn't some grotesque green sludge of mosquitos and other messy debris. At least for her and the enjoyment of others, she got a decent view. She was distracted so much from said view that she didn't see the upper classmen approach her, even with super senses she didn't even notice him until he was in front of her and speaking, "O' no I'm fine. I just don't want to go in the pool just right now... you're Felix right. I don't think we've ever really talked before. You don't have to move for me, I can talk."
  2. Carmen wasn't one to get into the water first, deciding it was best that she find a new reclining seat and lay back. It was high time that she enjoyed herself a little bit. Little to no schoolwork, having only just begun at Claremont, and with the summer sun in the air she was already out of class. It was only natural that she lay back and enjoy, more like a lizard on a hot rock if anything, taking out a refreshing fruity soda drink she had picked up from one of the Hispanic markets, the same kind she would get back on the island. A quick use of a bottle opener and she was relaxing away, mindlessly flicking through a fashion magazine that she had stored away. She had a few more drinks stored away in a small lunch pal inside her bag, along with some fruits to eat that she had gotten for everyone, even Neko. A simple stretch of her body and she was perfectly content to stay where she was. In fact, Carmen thought she might just never get in that pool where she was, slowly however being enticed at the sight of a barbecue being prepared.
  3. "So, he is just going to keep playing with us. Just does whatever he wants until they've had their fun," she spoke, quickly making her way towards a fallen wallet. Looking inside, she could see the New Jersey license and a date that she had to double take on. 1933 was far away from the current year, just like the outfits, the cars, the guns, everything. Things were starting to click for her. "It says August Roman, he's the one Centurion fought in the old days right. Is Quirk able to pull people from time as well?" voice obviously concerned at how powerful this entity could be.
  4. Ok, so with no History skill to speak of that she has a point in, I went with an Int roll and got a natural 20.
  5. Puma didn't seem to even blink at the idea of them using a deceased families pool. Even after a few years, she assumed that at the least someone was keeping it in some sort of care, especially since it was still under some form of surveillance. It just meant that without much worry for someone stepping into their fun private pool party. The fun for the moment was up for debate as they had only just got there, looking at the fence that stopped them from getting into the property. She'd take one look at it before crouching low and jumping up with barely even a moment in between, letting her firm superhuman athleticism do the talking as she did so without even faltering upon the landing, nor touching the fence itself. She'd take in a deep breath, seeing the pool not too far away and beginning to walk in a march towards it, zipped bag filled to the brim with things for the secret pool party. Carmen would smirk as well, thinking that Neko couldn't possibly get over that fence with a little help. The rivalry with no real beginning and seemingly no real end would play out. She still didn't really know why they were fighting but it did feel natural to a degree.
  6. Ok, so with her super senses and all she Puma gets a 25 on the roll.
  7. Carmen smiled, a smile growing on her face as he exaggerated his voice, "Well... I wouldn't mind a ride over then," she says before it appeared like there was a new sort of plan of action for their travel. "O'... I guess... never mind then." A private bus was not what she had in mind when it came to transportation, but then the luxury of the whole situation was not expected either. Puma wasn't accustomed to this sort of wealth on display, more used to old school buses that were repurposed for the school or for the mission back on the island. She would look over towards Naomi and Wilona once before looking to the driver, sighing as she got onboard. When she had been voluntold to come with them to this trip, she thought it would be far simpler, just a dip in the school pool. This instead was a crowded affair, and one that had her situated right across from Neko, arms crossed.
  8. Puma had made short work of the criminals, save for having missed the more hardened one that was taking aim towards her. In reaction, she put her arms up, as if to stop the bullet that would be coming her way. Closing her eyes, she awaited what could possibly be her end before hearing the ping of metal on metal as several rounds bounced off of Patriot's shield. She'd open them, looking up towards the older and more experienced hero as the fight was quickly finished without any sort of fanfare. Now that the immediate threat was over with, her thoughts went to whomever it was that had sent them down from the fire tower. "Who the heck was that, how was he able to do something like that?! Estábamos allá arriba, ¿cómo llegamos aquí? (We were up there, how did we get down here?!)" she spoke, speaking partially in Spanish as a feeling of panic began to set in. She had thought that this was just going to be a simple mentorship thing, something to get her mind off of things, or whatever else the school wanted, "This isn't your idea, is it?"
  9. "O'... well thank you," she spoke with a little bit of fluster. The more aggressive stance and tone that she seemed to keep dissipated when it came to talking with him, "Yes, they caught me in the lobby. I just got back from my stay at the church and well, felt like I couldn't refuse." When Neko began to talk to Luke, her utter disdain for the fellow cat like girl seemed to erode the shy and polite look that she had given when speaking with him. Why the two of them were at odds with one another was relatively lite in details. A confrontation between the two in a busy hallway, dropped books, and natural shock at another person that appeared cat like in nature. It could all just be as well natural cat tendencies. Whatever it was, Carmen dialed herself back, refusing to be the one that started another conflict.
  10. La Puma Negra (Carmen) Carmen's summer had been to an extent uneventful, save for one outing with a fairly well-known hero. The werecat known as La Puma had returned back to the school to stay for the week, milling about the lobby before being quickly roped into Wilona's machinations. Not that she minded it too much, thinking at least she would escape the boredom of the dorms once again with another trip, though she had a feeling as she got dressed that this was off the books. She was already familiar with such off-campus activities and knew that she'd have to keep things under the radar just a tad bit as she got dressed. No need for the heavy varsity jacket, it was already hot, and with fur over her body that would likely get her killed, regardless of the super endurance she possessed. So, she decided to go a little out of her limited wheelhouse, sporting as she came out of her dorm a floral blouse and jean shorts, hiding the plain two-piece swimwear underneath. She'd hook on a pair of old tennis shoe before catching sight of Neko. With having had barely any words exchanged between the two, they were as fated to be in conflict with each other for what seemed like little reason. Her own tail moved straight, holding back in a hiss, with Neko appearing to do the same. Regardless she would have to be with them likely at whatever pool party this was, sneaking inside a small bag a towel and a few snacks as she waited outside the dorm room of Leon and Luke. Looking away at the mention of nudity, she'd cross her arms, "Just hurry up.... hello Luke."
  11. Puma didn't notice it at first, her senses quickly sensing the change in environment as they were teleported it appeared back down to the ground below. Her mind however quickly caught up and soon without it a moments hesitation five forward on pure instinct. The young heroines fight or flight instincts were firing off, chasing obviously the former as she moved forward towards the center of the grouo, clocking the closest one in range with a clawed strike. "It's La Puma!" she spoke with an angered look, not liking so many folk calling her some sort of cat. At least to herself she was still Human. Agile and swift, her movements were almost dancer like, never staying in one place with acrobatic zeal. She would hold herself up with a handstand, kicking at several other of the crooks around her with claws at her feet. While she may show some inexperience with heroing, Claremont looked to be teaching her well enough, barely appearing to break a sweat.
  12. Ok, so do I have to roll for 2 more?
  13. Ok, so I am going to move in to one of the thugs, do an Acrobatic Bluff for a result of 24. Then I'll Surge for an extra Standard action, an attack with her claws resulting in a low 11. I will use a Hero Point to prevent fatigue if that's alright?
  14. Hmm, I'm thinking, Im gonna post soon. I think Ill try to rush in to fight might be better. I'll go ahead and do that.

  16. Hmm, alright, I think divining for cover night be the best bet.
  17. It was only a second after Patriot waved her had towards Puma that the young heroine realized that maybe what she had said wasn't the best in terms of dealing with whomever this was, and she was immediately punished for such actions as that. She didn't even feel any change besides her senses quickly having to update to the slight change in the environment, realizing that she was far back on the ground along with Patriot, standing right before the anachronistic thugs that didn't seem all too happy to see them standing before them all of a sudden. In fact, it felt like there was a slight pause between the chaos of them soon taking in the fact that both of them had suddenly appeared out of thin air, whisked away to be before them. "Mierda," Puma's eyes were wide as a feeling of panic began to spread.
  18. 25 for the initiative rolled with modifier.
  19. Puma was slowly starting to get the picture that something was right with this picture and a bad feeling started to arise in her. It made the stomach churn, growing slightly slick thay whomever this individual was, Patriot had history with this pendejo (idiot), and none of it felt like it was good history between them. "I'm not some kitty cat, and I do not do tricks," she says in response. There was a temper slightly growing as the comment had struck a nerve. She had never dealt with the Quirk individual, unlearned to any sort of potential danger that they might represent.
  20. "Why can't we just take them out, aren't we heroes or something? We should do something about it, stop them," Puma looked over to Patriot, looking for some sort of answer that she might give. The direction to go for the phone however surprised her, "The phone, why would we use the phone why can't we..." Before she suddenly found themselves not alone. She had been so distracted that she couldn't tell that they hadn't been alone, holding herself from jumping a bit in surprise as before them a man and a small baby were now present behind them. The young heroine wasn't sure whom they were, but it seemed like Patriot recognized him, seeing her refrain from attack him. Her own eyes kept towards the baby, watching as it waved to her in their cute little cat outfit. Did they think she was just a big giant house cat in their infant mind? Puma didn't seem to mind as thoughts went back to the issue at hand.
  21. "No sé (I don't know). You think they are some sort of robbers or something, they kind of remind me of when a friend and I went to some abandoned place," she spoke, remembering the strange encounter she had with a fellow classmate at school. Just thinking about it made it feel even more strange as she thought back to that evening. For these anachronistic potential criminals, there was no doubt they stood out in the green forest. "So, what do you want to do about the guests," she spoke, still observing from their position.
  22. "At least it's a place where I can find something to do, see people that are at least somewhat like me," she responds with a bit of a shrug. Patriot regardless may have hit a slight sore spot for Puma as she walked around, tail behind her swishing around as she gave an annoyed look. Puma was so annoyed that she wasn't even paying attention to the growing noise of a car engine, something that she would likely have heard easily if not for the upset feeling that was growing, continuing to speak, "Interested in what?" She'd quickly move to the window, looking down below to the car that had pulled up. Something wasn't right at all, quickly keeping herself small and out of sight as she peered downward, "¿Qué pasa con los trajes? (What's with the suits?) Are these your friends?"
  23. Puma would like to move up towards the window and try not to get spotted from it so she can watch them down below. I got a 30. With permission as well, I'd like to do a notice check then below to see what is going on, getting 17.
  24. It appeared as though things did turn into a quasi-hike as the two made their way along the path. Being out here in the forest, it felt relaxing, surrounded by only the sights, sounds, and smells of nature around them. For Puma it was like a dream, a reprieve from the constant droning of the city proper, with only the sound underfoot of crunching gravel before they reached the towering fire tower before them. The climb up was even more a sight as it felt like back home for the young hero, scaling above the tree line, the tree far in the distance. "So people live up here or something, just watching for fires and stuff, right," she responds back, looking around the dusty room. Puma sniffled slightly from the dust, wrecking her senses temporarily before she adusted, "Seems pretty lonely living all the way out here?"
  25. Heightened senses allowed her to take in the clean, fresh air of the park forest around them as they moved ever further away from the city scape and into the wide and vast range of countryside and forest. Here however it would grow thick as they hit the pine barren, the terrain rich in cedar and white pine trees. She may have grown up on the island, but she had some familiarity of the flora of North America and the creatures there from school both back home and at Claremont. Such a calm and clean area was almost relaxing, though it was far cry from her native tropics. She'd look at the chain link that blocked the road, hopping off and taking off her helmet alongside Patriot. Puma thought that something felt off being out here, thinking they weren't entirely supposed to be here, "So why are we here then if we aren't going for a hike?"
