  1. Initiative: 1d20+5=22 I'll leave it up to you, but it just doesn't seem right that Zhu is fast at all. I'm happy to have her go slow for the whole fight, or just the first round for a tasty HP
  2. SFX Zhu shrugged at Rev, in this case she was nearly as clueless as her friend. Temporal events had certainly been proved, and she had even read about some things back when she had connectivity to the internet. Yet, all the things she had researched had been highly speculative and theoretical at best. At least she could help her friend with the terminology, "mutiverse... the theory that there are infinite divergent paths for each permutation of events. Like there's one out there where I have chrome bits and you're the super genius... well I'm pretty sure." There was an article on commonality among the multiverse that she had read the stipulated while there were infinite divergent paths, those paths still had a certain degree of commonality. So Zhu would still be recognizable across them all, even if things were radically different. "I don't think that robed figure was good. If he was trying to save people, that isn't a good way to go about it. What can we do to help. I mean, we're still on the clock... if it's still even the same day."
  3. Yeah, this weekend should be better and I just read the very long (and cool) post in Far Far Away. I wanted to get a reaction out there that wasn't combat related to not hold things up... and I did post there before reading your directions here... Sorry!
  4. SFX There were many times that Zhu wished she was more mature and the distinctly fan girl squeak that escaped from her mouth definitely made this one of them. She covered her mouth and looked around embarrassed, "sorry... um... there was a mouse over there." While she wished she could sink into the floor, that was tempered by the sheer awesomeness of meeting Daedalus in person. She gripped Rev's hand and squeezed trying to contain her excitement as she fidgeted behind Lawrence, waiting for him to greet his uncle. She loved her parents, but why couldn't they be on the Freedom League too?
  5. SFX Alyia nodded and smiled, "da! Thanking very much for this tips..." she said even as the self proclaimed 'old lady' disappeared before her. With a sigh, she stepped back into the store to check on the girls. Regardless on anything that happened, she wanted to make sure that they were safe. As she stepped back into the locker room, they swarmed around her, giggling and asking a million questions. "Coach Aliya, are you all right?" "Da, is being fine little ones. Please to call mothers and fathers, practice is having to ending early tonight," she said to the assembled group. "Did Coach Paul not pay the bills again?" one of the younger one's asked her with aching innocence. "Nyet, was just misunderstanding. Do not being worried. Just call parents please." It was 30 minutes later when the Russian Gymnast was finally alone. Changing into a black skinsuit, she closed the door and made her way to the indicated place. While her benefactor didn't mention a time, she'd check it out and figure out what was going on.
  6. SFX Zhu cursed to herself as the guy in front of her babbled in Cantonese. While she had heard it before, she wasn't fluent enough to make out more than basic words. Although, if his tone and body language were anything to speak of, she didn't really need to know the exact translation. Her first instinct was to apologize as conflict was not really in her nature. However, she had to remind herself that she wasn't the normally timid Zhu... but a fierce gang member. Thankfully her second thought was, 'what would Rev do?' Which was say something cool and fire off jets. While that wasn't totally applicable, it would suffice to some degree. <"Why would I listen to anything you say with your excuse for being a man!"> she sneered at him in Mandarin. She prayed that this gang had Chinese from all over and not just Cantonese speakers. Regardless, she gave her best condescending sneer as she spoke making a dismissive gesture towards his groin to emphasize the point.
  7. Aliya paused for a moment while considering what to say, "is not to having normal place for living. Life is been challenging... perhaps is making of benefit now?" She shrugged, "maybe is also knowing some things to not being found." She gave a smile, "sometimes life is not kind and is difficult. There is peoples who have being looking for Alyia... so is knowing something of not being found. Also some things on fighting back too" She was starting to have some suspicions and then asked, "is having of same thing? Mean, will being safe?"
  8. Sure! I think you're up and I'm always willing to continue.
  9. Nodding, she turned back towards the gym, "well, during the school year I live at Claremont, but in the summer I go back to my parents." She smiled, "I think it's going to be a bit of an adjustment. I've started to get used to being responsible for myself and having the freedom to do what I want. Besides, I'm going to miss Lexa when I do. Well and the classes, I love taking the classes there, even if I'm quite a bit ahead of where they are right now. But yeah, I don't mind showing you around." They walked up the road for bit, getting closer to the gym, "I'm sorry to hear about your... creator. That's a shame. I mean, I can help you there if you want. Two heads being better than one and all that." The parking lot of the gym had tons of cars and people coming and going. Most of them had pretty fancy clothing and while Zhu wasn't drastically out of place, she did feel a bit conscious about her plain black yoga pants and thin base layer. "Well this is it! I think I still have a guest pass to get you in. We might have to be creative to get you something more appropriate to wear though..."
  10. Zhu smiled happily, "it's really wonderful. The teachers really go out of their way to help you learn... and they're really good at helping students with unique problems." As they approached the grounds where the school was she continued speaking, happy to walk along the street on the nice wide sidewalk, "I think the best part is all of the people that go there. They're really motivated to learn and while they don't all get along, it still seems everyone gets the point of their education. Oh! The science labs are completely top notch too. I've made some revisions to the botnet and at least one model was designed there. We could stop in if you want to like, check out my room or see what the grounds look like?" As they walked up towards the main gate, she asked, "where do you live then?"
  11. Aliya knew that she had only taken one of them out for sure... something had happened to the others that she didn't understand although given their attitudes, she wasn't about to complain either. Rummaging through their pockets she liberated them of any ID's that they had and proceeded to take shots of them with her phone. She concluded photoing their faces so that she'd have them on file. It wasn't much, but she could maybe try to get the police to respond... possibly. "Well is first to taking out trash," she said with a wicked smile and dragged the men out of the gym into the alley next to the store. With some effort, she dumped the men into the dumpster one by one insuring they had no weapons on them before doing so. Then stepping back into the gym she looked at Anna, "is knowing where these dealers is?"
  12. SFX Logic and panic rarely had much to do with each other, and truth be told, there was probably an element of shock that she was dealing with. However, the irony of her younger charge trying to reassure her and Rev's ever steadfast confidence made her slowly let her reasoning return. With a deep breath she finally nodded and gave them all a smile, "I'm sorry... that... was probably a bit much." Folding her hands in front of her she stepped behind the young boy as he realized that his uncle was here. Not just an Uncle, but Daedalus. It was enough to make her heart flutter again, but she managed to keep it under wraps as she nodded. Instead, she was finally able to look around. She was on another world, or station and she wanted to make sure to absorb as much of it as possible.
  13. "...and you say that I have the big brain. That's a great idea!" Zhu said with a smile. Then paused completely, "did you say that your parents were members of the Freedom League?!!" Her mouth hung open slightly as Lawrence's words resonated in her mind. "Rev! We are so dead! We've lost the son of members of the Freedom League! He was supposed to be in bed... we weren't supposed to leave the house... this is going to be a black spot on our transcripts isn't it? I'm going to get denied to MIT and probably grounded for the rest of eternity! Do you think the Better Business Bureau will get wind of this? We'll get blackballed from babysitting!" The young heroine was working herself up to a state and beginning to hyperventilate as she considered all of the ramifications that angered parents from the Freedom League could bring down upon them.
  14. SFX What Zhu found, besides the weapons was that the predominantly Asian gang seemed to all be here on their own volition. At least no one looked like they were in distress, at least as far as she could tell. Unfortunately for her, it seemed that the people at the rave were far more handsy than her students at Claremont were and she was certain that more than once some punk had gotten liberal with where he was putting his hands. She couldn't afford a reaction that would make her appear different from the people that were actually here to party, although she was pretty sure that her rictus grin responding to such ventures at least had the effect of scaring them off trying to push their luck further. As she walked, she left the BotNet to scan the surrounding area, keeping what she hoped was a reasonable view of a 50' radius around her. Perhaps there was some other room or area that she wasn't aware of. What they needed, was some kind of communications, but she supposed that if something were to happen, then she'd probably be able to tell by the crowd's reaction.
  15. SFX As Rev spoke, Zhu checked to make sure that Lawrence was safe. She mothered over him as she made sure there was no injury to the young man, "by the fates, I'm so glad you're all right." She finally said after checking him over. "At least you're all right and all we have to worry about is... well... 20,000 light years and a few million miles of vacuum." With Lawrence settled, she looked over to Rev and gave her an alarmed expression, "Rev! Are you all right?" Moving swiftly over to the girl, she began to mother over her friend as well, cleaning the wound and designing and creating a bandage with the bot net she did her best to make the scrape better, although she was no doctor at all. Still, it didn't take much in the way of rudimentary first aid to clean and bandage a wound. She looked at her friend, "are you all right? I mean really all right? You were totally amazing with the fire and the flying and all that!"
  16. GM Zhu had often questioned her own sexuality when other kids she knew had found time and inclination to make out. For a while she had even wondered if she was asexual as her time was filled with robots and code. Yet, when she saw one of the many attractive students at Claremont, she knew that she wasn't. Although, what she didn't understand was that she often felt similar for very attractive girls as she did boys, which made no sense. While she had nearly the world's resources at her fingertips using the internet to look up anything on human sexuality was both embarrassing and the result set was often disturbing. That question, of her own orientation was forced into her mind as Jessica was inches from her face and the intoxication from her presence made all of those questions very pertinent. She nodded, unable to look away from Jessica and whispered, "yes..." The space between them diminished as Jessica's lips brushed Zhu's. The red skinned girl had kissed many people, and her nature and looks made people more than responsive to her advances. Lust was heavy in her mind and enveloped the space between them, but she wondered for the moment if something was indeed wrong with the demure store clerk as there was no response. In fact, it was like she was kissing a statue as the girl didn't return any of the energy and passion that she thought she had felt. Not only that, but she didn't move at all. It took a second for lust to release it's grip and for her to realize that Zhu not only wasn't moving, but she wasn't even breathing either.
  17. As Jessica whispered in her ear, Zhu's face turned red again and she gasped and covered her mouth, looking at Jessica with a look that wavered between shock, embarrassment, and perhaps a little jealousy. It took her more than a moment to compose herself before she finally nodded, "thank... thank you." She took a deep breath, "I hope it works out... I mean the ritual... um... not the other stuff. I mean that too. Okay, I really need to shift topics." Setting her hands carefully on the counter, she finally smiled some, "you can have the plant, just leave me a cutting. I'll regrow it... maybe in some hydroponics. But yeah, I mean, I don't know how you manage it all. I've never really even kissed anyone yet."
  18. Before Zhu replied she stepped to the alien woman and give her a hug, later she would wonder if that broke any alien taboo's, but for now her profound relief and appreciation for the woman taking blows that had been meant for her overcame her as nearly bounced as she did. While the woman looked normal size, she didn't move a millimeter as Zhu hugged her, "thank you! I don't know if I would have caught that energy blast at all..." Letting go of the heroine, she even moved over to the reptilian hero and without a second thought repeated the gesture, thanking him as well. Then stepping back and taking a deep breath, she said, "I'm sorry... it's just... that was a bit much to take in. I'm Alexa... or I mean SFX... and we're supposed to be babysitting. But these people that looked like Lawrence's parents came into the house to capture him... and we couldn't let them. So we followed them and ended up here. Wherever here is. My friend's name is Rev... she's better at this than I am."
  19. SFX Sometimes things have a way of working out. As she fought through restoring connectivity to the botnet, she turned to see Not!Sai coming back from the blow that she had taken before. As the rest of the group was focused on the robed villain and the remaining Not people in front of them, she wasn't sure who was looking out for their back. She watched the damaged woman float towards them and checked the progress over and over. Why did it take so long to reboot electronics? She scooched Lawrence behind her, vowing to take whatever hit the woman dished out as she got closer and closer. Then just as she was getting ready to steel herself to an attack, the happy chime of the botnet reestablishing itself chimed in her mind. There was no time for fancy, no time for sophisticated, she just reached forward and dictated as many units as she could to lance out and smash the woman in front of her. Columns of ground and chunks of building grew and twisted as they struck the floating woman again sending her reeling backwards, giving her some times to ready for a hopefully final assault.
  20. Right! That Not!Sai is sneaking back up! Time to hopefully put her down! Standard Action: Damage 10: 1d20+10 = 22, DC25 Free Action: None Move Action: Move between Lawrence and Not!Sai
  21. SFX The difficulty of her ability was that while she could get the visuals to match, making the physical body language sync up to her persona. So it was with perhaps a little exaggerated swagger and a vamped hip sway that she walked into the lion's den. Despite how nervous she felt, she plunged straight into the crowd resisting the urge to apologize each time she bumped into someone. As she passed people she listened to how they were speaking, hoping it would be either English or Mandarin. One of major goals was to secure the weapons like Tsunami had asked her. Thankfully, that didn't appear to be as hard as she might have expected. Using her powers she started prepping code to seal the barrels on as many weapons as the botnet could reach. Hopefully it would help reduce any collateral damage if it ocured.
