  1. !!! Zach didn't jump out of his skin when Pol knocked but considering the timing of it he came close. "Oh wow speak of the devil. Yeah i'm good!" He called back before setting another piece into place. This wasn't anything to be embarrassed about, it wasn't childish at all. They had stuff like this on crime dramas all the time! "Oh uhh.. yeah. Kinda? I used to set these up back home whenever I wanted to get a big picture view of things i was trying to figure out. If you want to help uhh...just a moment". Moving a bit down the wall he lined up two pieces as best he could as corners and affixed them. "There we go. Just gotta backfill the space now to form a decent enough square, the tape is over there on my desk, a piece on the backside of each corner should be enough to hold it in place. Honestly It's more like a project to prepare for other projects down the line." This felt stunted and jerky even for him. Taking a moment to mentally step back he turned to face Pol directly. "I'm sorry man I'm getting caught up in my own bull. First day of class go alright? Oh also I heard you got dragged into the senior robotgirls room. You work astonishingly fast!"

And until that time the Knights stand truly as equals fighting for the Ideals of this Cosmic Camelot. Hrm actually if we play up the title of Once and Future King it could imply that no matter which version of Camelot comes into existence it's the same Arthur who arrives to rule it, just resting in Avalon until the cycle starts again.
  3. Kord Dorms, Floor One, Claremont Academy Monday, September 7th 2020 First days of class were always a fine mix of hectic and pointless to Zach. Everyone shows up, says hello, goes over a syllabus that everyone only pretends to be interested in and on and on and on. Who could blame him for matching wits with the clock as if will power alone was enough to hasten the steps of time. All things however do come to an end eventually and Zach had made his way out of the class and back to his room quick as one could. After all today he had a purpose, he had a plan. Today 'The Board(tm)' was making it's triumphant return. Sliding his bag under his desk Zach took the moment to really size up his side of the room. On the desk itself laid a small assortment of tools, bits, bobs, components and spare parts whose only organization seemed to be 'within arms reach'. At the desks side his silvered armor sat loosely atop one of the teens suitcases. Easily reachable for any tinkering that may need to be done to it. A stand would honestly be better but this was only week one. He'd have time for more projects later, even if he'd have to find a dark corner of the schools basement to shove the stand into over summer break. Looking at the empty space on the wall however Zach knew he had his spot. Big enough to get all the corkboards up and far enough from a corner that you could stand back and get a good view without risking having to lean on a wall or something. It was perfect. Corkboards the size of the average school text book came out of their hiding spaces in bags and promptly made their way onto the empty wall courtesy of easy-to-remove double sided tape and a little patience. He'd gotten a third of his pile up before the thought occurred to him. "Aw heck I probably should have double checked with Pol before putting this up."
  4. You make do with what you have. Climbing out of the van Zach was almost the perfect image of someone wasn't quite as prepared as they wanted. Sporting Denim shorts, a grey T-shirt with a stylized graphic of Doc Metropolis working very hard at rebuilding a jenga tower, worn-out sneakers, and a normal school backpack that looked absolutely packed to near bursting. Though to be fair it was currently holding his folded down armor inside it so it probably had only the absolute bare essentials in it otherwise. Finally though he couldn't resist the small tease that'd been sitting in his minds lap for the entire car ride. "Charlie just want you to know, friend to friend, i'm going to laugh really hard if that suit starts to chafe after we've been hiking." Zach playfully jabbed before looking towards Macedon and the others. "So Bossman, is taking pictures during the trip a no go? Or can we take as many as we'd like if we don't fall behind?" Not that he meant to take a whole lot of pictures...well okay maybe if the girls wanted to. Actually brain can you not. That'd be great. Focusing a bit more at the task at hand he couldn't help but notice the upscaled revolver hanging on their chaperones hip. "Anything we got to worry about out here that needs your revolver to match Dirty Harry's?
  5. Zach could do many things, but break out of the grips of not one but two super strong teens? Nope not even close no point in even trying. He needed to go help with the bags and he would but surely.. oh his name was Sebastian, Sebastian would understand what a unwinnable position this was in. Once both of their grips relaxed he'd be able to get back to it and what's this about mind control? Everyone was mad, a fist was flung and some rent-a-muscle had popped out of seemingly thin air when zach hadn't been looking. But thinking about it things didn't make sense did they? He didn't know Sebastian at all really. Yeah zach was the kind of guy who would help someone move in but he'd just barely gotten through the door himself and hadn't even gotten his stuff kicked into a corner much less unpacked. Then thinking about how everyone was acting, how luke had given him a golden eye-full, it made sense only if he considered himself as the one acting irregularly. Which meant there had to be a moment when things changed. Right after Sebastian had talked, the moment his train of thought had been derailed into thinking about helping this little twit move his bags. Under his minds eye gaze the lingering influence of Casanovas power burned away like fog under the sun. Zach's whole body tensed and he managed to take in a short sharp breath before carefully speaking to the other teens nearby. "I'm good now, but if he sets me off further don't let me get into the black suitcase unless we're throwing down." Spinning on the spot, anger seeped into his voice as he stared down the mind controlling menace. "Are you HIGH or just stupid!? Must be the former because I can't believe for a second that anyone who knows how to tie their own shoes would try to mind control people in the ONE place in the entire city that would have things in place to track powers use. Or would you rather take a guess at what other security bits like CAMERAS might be in the common room? Go ahead take a look around you colossal dolt. Maybe it'll help clue you into what an absolutely stupid thing you just did was. Y'know what let's flip it like this. You just used your POWER on us without consent. I could lay you out like a brick and it'd be self-defense. Do you get that?"

Wait no 28 because of the +1 bonus from mind control itself. Which i forgot to include in the roll on orokos. Can't make a post right away with my shift about to start but once i get home I'll have Zach break free from this control and probably go off on Casanova. Lukes got a good grip right?

  8. Well Nerd i'm good for either since both situations look like they'll end up in roughly the same place. I guess it kind of falls down to how personal you want the rivalry to be? Will Luke be more motivated by watching Casonova do his work on others or by actually having been subject to it?

Zach made doubly sure to keep his grip firm as he shaked lukes hand, not that he was strong but these guys seemed fairly chill and he didn't exactly want to make a bad impression by giving a limp handshake of all things. "Good be here, still didn't expect this place to look like a..oh! Thanks man, i appreciate it." Zach said as he relinquished one of the bags from his shoulders. "They aren't heavy, just awkward and always in the way y'know?" Turning to Pol he offered his now happily freed hand to his roomie. "Same here man. Just let me know if I make any roomie mistakes or whatever. Staying at totally-not-a-castle is kinda new and all". Pol seemed nice, bit stiff but nice enough. With lukes last question though he couldn't help but internally cringe somewhat. He knew the powers would come out sooner rather than later but he'd hoped he'd at least get a chance to unpack a bit first. Still it did sound kind of fun so hey why not. "They have a place here where we can show off right? I mean, my powers kind of a pain to show off but I do have my side project I can show off. Just lemme get my bags in the room and we can...can.." That teen Luke had smirked at had SPOKEN and zach felt his train of thought utterly derail. It was a good thing to help ________ move their bags right? Luke was helping him with his so he had to pay it forward besides ________ had asked nicely...well he'd said to do it but he'd meant it as a request right? Besides the bags weren't far outside, in the big pile probably, easy enough to grab a few and get them to dudebros room. His last remaining bag slumped to the ground, it'd be safe here with his roomie right? "Uh, I mean yeah. Let me just help...Captain Trust Fund? Daddy's Money Dude? Lemme just help him move his stuff in real fast." And with that he turned on the spot and started to head back outside. It was the right thing to help Trust Fund out.

  12. Doors weren't complicated things. Big old piece of wood or other material, a handle and lock, couple of hinges, simplicity itself. Dealing with one while carrying a pair of backpacks and dragging a pair of wheeled suitcases behind however complicated things immensely. The weight of the bags throwing off his balance, straps catching on the door handle while the suitcases seemed determined to nip at heels or trip the teen up as he managed to make his way past the perilous portal and into the common area feeling about 110% done with this moving nonsense already. At least until he heard his name spoken out loud by the curious crowd gathered ahead of him. "Is being blonde rare enough to be a talked about? Hi i'm Zach." He said smiling as he approached the group. Appearance wise the lanky teen wasn't going out of his way to impress anyone on day one. Worn denim jeans, black sneakers, a white T-shirt with the first Raven dynamically dashing towards the viewer, and finally a plain black hoody that was probably a bit warm for the weather. But with his bags stuffed as they were it didn't look like he had much room to stash it away.
  13. NEW STUDENT Name: Zachary "Zach" Anderson Codename: Howl Year: Sophomore Pronouns: He, Him, His Prospective Roommate: Zach doesn't know anyone so it's really all a wash for him. Anyone will do. So long as they don't snore. Goal: In the short-term actually try to enjoy school for once. It'll be nice to actually experience it without the sword of damocles hanging over his head. In the long term? There's something not right just out of sight and Zach wants to drag it out into the light. After all who could look at a mystery and not want to see it solved? He'd also like to test his tech against others to see how it measures up, how he could improve it and so on. First Impression: Dork. Zach dresses for comfort so he's not going to be winning any prizes for being exceptionally Fashionable in any way. Pants, t-shirt, that's all you need! Clearly still getting used to the chaos of Claremont though.
  14. Changed Sonic Break Down to better math. Removing distracting in the process. Now each component should be worth 8 DP and use up the rest of the floating DP in that array slot. Illusion had it's cost placed on it. Formatting has also been changed around. Which lead me to finding out I hadn't tagged Bass-line Punch as having it's damage and Nausea components Linked. So I made sure to fix that and it doesn't change the math for that power any.

  16. Yeah the Mutation is Biological. His brain having altered itself to perform faster and recall data more effectively. The datalink was me thinking it'd basically be the super hero equivalent of a USB cable he can pull out of his gauntlet. As for the suits descriptors should i group up all the powers in it that'd be pure Tech? then list all the powers that do stuff with Sonic after? Edit: Went back in and tagged each individual component of the MK I with what they rely upon Descriptor wise and added text to further clarify their function/lore within the suit. Minor change to the name of his mental power to better account for how it's function separate of the suit. Also added in disguise so i could make note of the bonus Quick Change gives it.

Zach is a young man with a lanky build who usually dresses for comfort more than anything. Complexion wise he's pale on account of staying inside which isn't helped by the fact that his armor covers him completely from head to toe. His hair almost always looks like he just got out of bed, he's tried to get it under control but it's been a long losing battle that he's all but given up on. Hair length wise he's sitting somewhere between short but styleable and mid length as if he hasn't quite decided if he's going to continue growing it out or if he should trim it back. As Howl Zach wears a black Bodysuit augmented with Silver gauntlets, Greaves, a matching belt to make up for a lack of pockets, a chestplate to protect his vital organs, and of course a Hardened Full face mask to hide as much of his identity as he can while protecting his noggin. History: Zachary Anderson has done his best to lead a normal life and it's failed so far. Plagued by Daily, and on the worst days hourly, crippling migraines for as long as he could remember Zach struggled to make friends, succeed academically, or really do much that wasn't something he could easily put down and continue however long later when Hade's own Lemon Juice and Ghost Pepper soaked flaming pick axe decided to unlodge itself from his brain. So focusing on what he could Zach threw what what he could of himself into learning how to code, Super Heroes, learning what he could about engineering and tinkering so he could have something to work on with his hands. As he got older he also started throwing his proverbial gaze wider and wider across the net finding digital mysteries he could tackle at his own pace. Many were simply ARGs made to entertain but others were old unsolved cases that the public had been trying to solve for years and despite his condition he felt like he'd found some sort of community he could participate in. Even if some of the mysteries people would investigate were more theory based than evidence based. That'd changed about a year ago when he suffered the largest Migraine attack to date lasting a full 16 hours before finally subsiding leaving zach stunned but able to recall near anything with perfect clarity that occurred outside of his attacks. Over the days that followed he was ecstatic, no attacks, he could zip from idea to idea faster than ever, and he could recall so many bits of coding or scientific trivia he'd learned over the years and combine them in new and exciting ways. He had Super Smarts! So they went to the family doctor to get it confirmed, and what tests they could provide came back negative. Zach was smart but he wasn't crossing the line into the realms of the Super except in the areas of memory retention and access. His mutation had cured the migraines and enhanced his memory, nothing more. So he turned back to his old pass times to distract himself, so he wouldn't have to face that all the pain he'd endured until this point was rewarded with next to nothing. He started building equipment he thought would have been cool for a hero to use, integrated it into first a gauntlet then a full suit. Building up the hero he could have been even as Emerald City up north started using Rent-a-Heroes in Corp-tech suits to protect the city, taking just a little bit more wind out of his sails. When portions of his project was discovered by his parents they immediately got back in contact with the family doctor who in turn used what connections he had in the hero community to make sure that the boy could learn in a place that could handle a budding gadgeteer. That place being of course, Claremont. Now at the start of a new school year Zach has found his way to Claremont and is as ready as one can be to handle a new high school that also happens to be a boarding school for super teens. This is fine. He can handle this. He thinks. Personality & Motivation: Zach is very much someone who wants the world to be fair, for the rules to apply equally to everyone with no gotchas hidden deep to allow people to get off scott free when they shouldn't. Which at times leads him to seriously investigate things like conspiracy theories even if people think they're all just crazy nonsense, but the way he sees it "SHADOW is a thing, Those killer robots are a thing, Katanarchists and other secret Ninja clans are a thing. We have heroes who claim to time travel and meet aliens. What if this conspiracy theory is actually the truth being hid as fiction"? Powers & Tactics: When it combat Howl prefers to deafen his opponents by 'muting' the area around himself and pummeling his foe with sonic blasts or sonic strikes until they aren't an issue any more. When not in direct combat he prefers to try to stay sneaky, gather information as best he can and figure out exactly what's going on with any given scenario, even using voice mimicry and Auditory illusions to gain the upper hand or even just trick low level thugs. Currently he's rather fresh faced to combat and hasn't had as much of a chance to refine his technique. Power Descriptions: When Howl uses his sonic blasts/strikes the air his blasts go through twist, turn and vibrate with such force that even an unaugmented eye can follow their path on the way to their destination as well as creating an unmistakable Horrific Howl from which he draws his name. The same holds true for his Sonic Breakdown, though doing so requires both his hands and his utmost attention to break only the crystalline structures in front of him and not risk a resonance cascade that could harm people in the area. On the other hand when he Mutes the World noise simply stops within his area of effect leaving the entire area completely silent, you could bang pots and pans together and not hear a single clang. Complications: Secret Identity: Zach is keeping his identity as Howl a secret so that his actions as a hero won't put his family and friends into harms way. Scratched the Surface: During his time attempting to solve public cold cases Zach came dangerously close to unearthing ties that could have lead back to The Labyrinth. Close enough to have drawn the attention of some within the organization. Those someones, whoever they may be, will at times pull strings and try to hinder Howls actions throughout his adventures, divert him onto a wild goose chase, or even a simply case of slander and libel in order to further test if he is a threat or a potential asset. Of course many Labyrinth assets don't even know they are so almost anyone could be used to slow Howl down at a critical moment, the bumbling electrician who just needs a few more minutes to fix the control panel, the detective who absolutely refuses to let a hero contaminate his crime scene, the random employee who would love to answer questions but you really need to talk to her manager whose out on lunch, and so on could all be people who Labyrinth have tapped to become a roadblock. Of course if Howl causes to much trouble it'd be pretty simple to just drop a conveniently powered goon on his head as well. At any point a GM could just have a NPC react negatively or be steadfastly unhelpful with no real way for Howl to fix it other than to go around them some manner. Snack Attack: The human brain consumes roughly 20% of the energy a normal human body generates per day, Zachs brain however consumes a fair bit more even though his particular mutation is not as effective as other mental boosters out in the world. As such it's entirely possible for him to run out of steam if he hasn't made certain to keep his calorie intake high enough for the day, which in a super hero world is easy to lose track of. Anytime a GM needs to slap Fatigue or exhausted on someone here ya go. My power sucks!...Imposter Syndrome: Zach in a way both loves and hates his power. He loves that he has one at all but at the same time feels betrayed by his own flesh that the most it could cough up power wise was "Good at remembering things". And so surrounded by so many of his peers with 'actual power' has left him feeling like he got in on a technicality, like he doesn't deserve to be here, a fake, a fraud, or worse the token example student that shows that Claremont will accept anyone that has a 'power'. Yes the fact that he wasn't going to be sent to Claremont until he started building a Super Suit is lost on him. You can just buy(rent really) a super suit out in emerald after all. Since this gets such a sharp reaction out of Zach bullies at Claremont or really anyone who just wants to get under his skin can use this put him on tilt. Walking Noise Violation: The problem with sonic powers is that they are by definition LOUD. Loud enough to draw attention even when it wouldn't be a good idea to do so. But perhaps ones of the other big downsides to using sound as the base of his powers is how it behaves in different circumstances, Water for instance amplifies the distance Sound can travel, Tunnels can channel sound into places Howl would rather they didn't go, and of course any vacuum may as well be an impenetrable wall to him since Sound needs a medium to travel through. Description: Age: 16 (DoB: 2004) Apparent Age: 16 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'11 Weight: 155 Eyes: Green Hair: Blonde and always messy. Zach is a young man with a lanky build who usually dresses for comfort more than anything. Worn in jeans, a t-shirt with a 'witty' joke three wolves howling at a moon or some 'official super hero merch', along with a well worn black zip up hoodie. Complexion wise he's pale on account of staying inside which isn't helped by the fact that his armor covers him completely from head to toe. His hair almost always looks like he just got out of bed, he's tried to get it under control but it's been a long losing battle that he's all but given up on. Hair length wise he's sitting somewhere between short but styleable and mid length as if he hasn't quite decided if he's going to continue growing it out or if he should trim it back. As Howl Zach wears a black Bodysuit augmented with Silver gauntlets, Greaves, a matching belt to make up for a lack of pockets, a chestplate to protect his vital organs, and of course a Hardened Full face mask to hide as much of his identity as he can while protecting his noggin. History: Zachary Anderson has done his best to lead a normal life and it's failed so far. Plagued by Daily, and on the worst days hourly, crippling migraines for as long as he could remember Zach struggled to make friends, succeed academically, or really do much that wasn't something he could easily put down and continue however long later when Hade's own Lemon Juice and Ghost Pepper soaked flaming pick axe decided to unlodge itself from his brain. So focusing on what he could Zach threw what what he could of himself into learning how to code, Super Heroes, learning what he could about engineering and tinkering so he could have something to work on with his hands. As he got older he also started throwing his proverbial gaze wider and wider across the net finding digital mysteries he could tackle at his own pace. Many were simply ARGs made to entertain but others were old unsolved cases that the public had been trying to solve for years and despite his condition he felt like he'd found some sort of community he could participate in. Even if some of the mysteries people would investigate were more theory based than evidence based. That'd changed about a year ago when he suffered the largest Migraine attack to date lasting a full 16 hours before finally subsiding leaving zach stunned but able to recall near anything with perfect clarity that occured outside of his attacks. Over the days that followed he was ecstatic, no attacks, he could zip from idea to idea faster than ever, and he could recall so many bits of coding or scientific trivia he'd learned over the years and combine them in new and exciting ways. He had Super Smarts! So they went to the family doctor to get it confirmed, and what tests they could provide came back negative. Zach was smart but he wasn't crossing the line into the realms of the Super except in the areas of memory retention and access. His mutation had cured the migraines and enhanced his memory, nothing more. So he turned back to his old pass times to distract himself, so he wouldn't have to face that all the pain he'd endured until this point was rewarded with next to nothing. He started building equipment he thought would have been cool for a hero to use, integrated it into first a gauntlet then a full suit. Building up the hero he could have been even as Emerald City up north started using Rent-a-Heroes in Corp-tech suits to protect the city, taking just a little bit more wind out of his sails. When portions of his project was discovered by his parents they immediately got back in contact with the family doctor who in turn used what connections he had in the hero community to make sure that the boy could learn in a place that could handle a budding gadgeteer. That place being of course, Claremont. Now at the start of a new school year Zach has found his way to Claremont and is as ready as one can be to handle a new high school that also happens to be a boarding school for super teens. This is fine. He can handle this. He thinks. Personality & Motivation: Zach is very much someone who wants the world to be fair, for the rules to apply equally to everyone with no gotchas hidden deep to allow people to get off scott free when they shouldn't. Which at times leads him to seriously investigate things like conspiracy theories even if people think they're all just crazy nonsense, but the way he sees it "SHADOW is a thing, Those killer robots are a thing, Katanarchists and other secret Ninja clans are a thing. We have heroes who claim to time travel and meet aliens. What if this conspiracy theory is actually the truth being hid as fiction"? Powers & Tactics: When it combat Howl prefers to deafen his opponents by 'muting' the area around himself and pummeling his foe with sonic blasts or sonic strikes until they aren't an issue any more. When not in direct combat he prefers to try to stay sneaky, gather information as best he can and figure out exactly what's going on with any given scenario, even using voice mimicry and Auditory illusions to gain the upper hand or even just trick low level thugs. Currently he's rather fresh faced to combat and hasn't had as much of a chance to refine his technique. Power Descriptions: When Howl uses his sonic blasts/strikes the air his blasts go through twist, turn and vibrate with such force that even an unaugmented eye can follow their path on the way to their destination as well as creating an unmistakable Horrific Howl from which he draws his name. The same holds true for his Sonic Breakdown, though doing so requires both his hands and his utmost attention to break only the crystalline structures in front of him and not risk a resonance cascade that could harm people in the area. On the other hand when he Mutes the World noise simply stops within his area of effect leaving the entire area completely silent, you could bang pots and pans together and not hear a single clang. Complications: Secret Identity: Zach is keeping his identity as Howl a secret so that his actions as a hero won't put his family and friends into harms way. Scratched the Surface: During his time attempting to solve public cold cases Zach came dangerously close to unearthing ties that could have lead back to The Labyrinth. Close enough to have drawn the attention of some within the organization. Those someones, whoever they may be, will at times pull strings and try to hinder Howls actions throughout his adventures, divert him onto a wild goose chase, or even a simply case of slander and libel in order to further test if he is a threat or himself a potential asset. Of course many Labyrinth assets don't even know they are such so almost anyone could be used to slow Howl down at a critical moment, the bumbling electrician who just needs a few more minutes to fix the control panel, the detective who absolutely refuses to let a hero contaminate his crime scene, the random employee who would love to answer questions but you really need to talk to her manager whose out on lunch, and so on could all be people who Labyrinth have tapped to become a roadblock. Of course if Howl causes to much trouble it'd be pretty simple to just drop a conveniently powered goon on his head as well. At any point a GM could just have a NPC react negatively or be steadfastly unhelpful with no real way for Howl to fix it other than to go around them some manner. Snack Attack: The human brain consumes roughly 20% of the energy a normal human body generates per day, Zachs brain however consumes a fair bit more even though his particular mutation is not as effective as other mental boosters out in the world. As such it's entirely possible for him to run out of steam if he hasn't made certain to keep his calorie intake high enough for the day, which in a super hero world is easy to lose track of. Anytime a GM needs to slap Fatigue or exhausted on someone here ya go. My power sucks!...Imposter Syndrome: Zach in a way both loves and hates his power. He loves that he has one at all but at the same time feels betrayed by his own flesh that the most it could cough up power wise was "Good at remembering things". And so surrounded by so many of his peers with 'actual power' has left him feeling like he got in on a technicality, like he doesn't deserve to be here, a fake, a fraud, or worse the token example student that shows that Claremont will accept anyone that has a 'power'. Yes the fact that he wasn't going to be sent to Claremont until he started building a Super Suit is lost on him. You can just buy(rent really) a super suit out in emerald after all. Since this gets such a sharp reaction out of Zach bullies at Claremont or really anyone who just wants to get under his skin can use this put him on tilt. Walking Noise Violation: The problem with sonic powers is that they are by definition LOUD. Loud enough to draw attention even when it wouldn't be a good idea to do so. But perhaps ones of the other big downsides to using sound as the base of his powers is how it behaves in different circumstances, Water for instance amplifies the distance Sound can travel, Tunnels can channel sound into places Howl would rather they didn't go, and of course any vacuum may as well be an impenetrable wall to him since Sound needs a medium to travel through.   20. Ok so the current idea runs something like this. Doctor Deoxy has come up with a fabulous new invention that could turn the farming world on it's ear, Self-harvesting Plants! Starting with the ever versatile potato Doctor Deoxy is set to unveil his creation in a small but public press conference. Unfortunately for everyone involved something goes wrong with the Potatoes as they rise up and begin the attack the assembled citizens, press, and Heroes! Luckily Mannequin and Salvo are among those attending the conference and the trio of science minded heroes can stop the spuds from devouring everything.

So like, she arrived way back when with her brother, but now another 'her' has shown up, considerably more confused and alone in roughly the same place she first appeared.

    Bedlam City

    I know that location has already been pretty much decided on. But i do want to point out that Bedlam City, as it's shown in the book, is literally Vallejo California. The highways line up right, Rook Island shipping terminal is Mare Island, and the coastline is basically identical. Really the only thing missing is a soul destroying amusement park and that Vallejo also extends west over the highway into mostly suburbia. Also only a short ferry ride away from San Francisco so there's your big city that's conveniently nearby but far enough away to not steal focus.
