  1. Deeply, deeply hurt by the rash of music related threads not involving YB I decided to create my own only betterer . Actually they just gave me an interesting situation to put YB in, I was initially think a solo thread but though it could work for a small team of 2-3 Its still early days but my basic idea is for YB being in a studio doing an interview when it's attack by esoteric terrorist protesting against over commercialization of popular music. To start with the heroes won't be able to reveal themselves so it would suit those with secret ID's but with powers in there normal form. I'm thinking a couple of heroes, possibly with a reason to be on stage so YB's not all on her own, and best without obvious powers. This idea is really early days so it might take a while...
  2. Lucy rolled up outside the mansion about an hour before dusk for a change using a taxi rather than getting there under her own power. The time had been carefully chosen she knew younger vampire couldn’t stand the light of sun at any time of the day but she expected older vampire to be active but less capable. She was well aware that any information she had about ancient vampire came from Dracula, but she suspected the book contained more than a grain of truth. She’d also take time to dress in her battle heels, along with a sensible skirt and a pair of stockings. It was the same style of clothing she’d always wore at trial. At first it was to distract the male lawyers but it had eventual it had become something of a good luck charm, especially at the trial that would have made her career, and instead made everything insanely wonderfully different. If had bought her here.
  3. She was in the middle of trying to get the police here when Blue Dame’s message came through. “…look I’m a couple of meters underground travelling at a hundred miles an hour; do you think I’m completely legit?†The photon cord was vibrating signals back and forwards leading to a strange echoing effect, it seemed appropriate seeing how many centuries apart they were. she switched to Taíno, the spirit must be old enough to recognize the tongue. Making a grab for the fleeing cultist, she did a perfect U-turn and made back for the chamber. If the portal isn’t stable Subito we may have to get creative. If you lose this signal try to imaging me there, it might allow us to bend time and bring me there. That the strange timey-wimey nature of space-time.
  4. I shall do my almost signature demon Throwning . Take 10 to hit so that's a 22, my grapple roll is 1d20+22=26. If grappled then I'll throw it at the villian, that would be 1d20+10=23, if it hit that a DC 25 Toughness save.
  5. Taking in the scene Lucy saw she had two options either to attack the young villain or destroy the rampaging demons. Or there was always a third option to combine the two. “Just remember I wanted to go easy on you.†Turning her attention on the three demon she studied there movements, watching them circling her all looking for a moment to attack. When she saw the moment her actions were swift and precise, she grabbed the demon by it claws and with a single fluid motion threw the creature towards the young villain.
  6. Lucy gave a friendly smile. “Still dead and kicking.†She stood up and wandered over to Marlow. “Is there anything you need, we’re going to have to take you to a safer location. If we could work out your connection some of the victim friends could to. And they won’t be quite so friendly. On the plus side you get to spend more time with me.†She gave him a wink Finally she turned her attention to Starlight and held out a hand “Hello I don’t think we’ve met I’m Revenant, but you can call me Lucy. I figure I’m among friends here.â€
  7. Um I'm setting up a hi-tech superscience comm-link, SC would be so proud . Do I need to spend any HP for this?
  8. Agnes was at the far end of the chamber when El Heraldo made his decisions chasing down the fleeing cultist. “Bollocks!†She knew she had to follow but she didn’t want to leave the cultist around to cause further trouble. She reached out with her mind to try to contact him spirit to spirit but Blue didn’t seem to be listening. So magic was out time for some science. Luckily she didn’t spend her time just fight crime. She recalled a recent function where she had a physicist, also a Brit, try to explain the strangeness of Quantum Mechanic. He carefully explained that photon like most elemental practically didn’t seem to worry by where and when they where they retained a link. So turning in flight she spun a beam of light out to a single photon thick threading the line through the portal and into a contact with her ally. On making contact she used the link to say some very rude and physically impossible thing in Spanish. Stay exactly where you are, and don’t step on any butterflies. I look terrible in green scales. I’m just cleaning thing up this side. That sorted she raced up at full speed towards the fleeing man throwing up plume of water, well mostly water, into the air.
  9. Lucy gave a small smile and held a hand out for Rene’s little companion. “I shall take great care of little Michelle Mouse, hopeful she’ll take great care of me.†Her smile faded and her face darkened “Just promise me you’ll do what’s necessary if he does prove more powerful for me.†She let the idea hang for a little while before she lent forward and gave Rene a chaste kiss on the cheek. “Wish me luck, hopefully I won’t need it.†She managed a faint smile She then left to go with her date with destiny.
  10. Whilst they seemed to have lost their faculties she didn’t want to harm them too much, they were still basically human. So he swung the sword round the flaming blade tracing a faint blue trail in the air, she grabbed the flaming blade for extra leverage, and struck the man with the hilt of Dyrnwyn. Having got the formor crew mans attention she moved around to draw his attention from his former college. <â€Find somewhere safe whilst we subdue your former colleagues.â€> she switched to Welsh as for most of Gwynedd it was there primary language and he would probably react best to his own tongue.
  11. Straight foward strike on the still standing crewman 1d20+8=14, that's a DC 23 Toughness save.
  12. Occasionally it got too much, 80 years was a lot of time to try and catch up on, today wasn’t one of those days. Whilst most of the conversation had gone over her head, and she made a mental note to look all these terms up, she could tell they had found what they were looking for. “Is there some way we could fool them into thinking we are the triumphal party returning with their catch? I’m sure I can do a passable Theda Bara.†She gave a smile at her own personal joke. “I’m not sure what they learn but couldn’t they have learned illusions as part of their powers? And they don’t strike me as the sharing type…â€
  13. Agnes couldn’t help but smile at Subito’s impetuous, it was just that famous Latin passion. If only he was a few years older, but maybe this wasn’t quite the time for such thoughts. As she floated there she subtly drew the light towards her, her aura brightening slightly. “…and oh Chocolate, and Ice-cream… close your eye Heraldo… and my personal favourite artificial light…†She hoped Subito would pick up on her warnings but just in case she moved slightly to create a shadow to protect her fellow hero. With that she released her aura into a brilliant burst of light which filled the entire chamber.
  14. Going to release a dazzle, it has selective so Subito's okay.
  15. Oh yeah I forgot, I'm cool with this is everyone else is.
  16. She’d know that something was amiss, but it wasn’t until Nick had said something that she figured out what was wrong. It was a very faint smell, she almost couldn’t detect it, but there it was. “There is a smell, but I can’t tell exactly where it’s coming from. I think it’s bellow us.†She looked more than a little guilty “Since I’ve come back my smell hasn’t been what it was, I can barely smell it I just know it’s there. Still being hell and all I think downwards would be a good choice.†She managed a faint smile.
  17. Revenant moved towards the young woman, she was still convinced that she could talk the woman round but it might be necessary to subdue her first. Still one more try to stop her attacks before Lucy would had to really hurt this poor woman. “You really don’t have to do this. You’re out classed and out matched.†To prove the point she punched in the face one of the demons who was approaching her from behind. “It’s probably best for everyone if you just surrendered.†she gave a girl a confident smile.
  18. I was going to post honest . As my Combat Action I'm going to take 10 to Attack on of the Demons, that's 22 to hit for a DC 27 Toughness Save. For my Move action I'll try to Demoralize the Villain 1d20+12-5=15.
  19. Young Britannia I'd like to buy off Normal Identity, now she's a hero 24/7 . IDENTITY STOLEN by GIZMO
  20. Grapple Roll 1d20+9=25, so close...
  21. “Well I’ve meet enough of his employees I guess it’s time to meet the boss.†She gave a broad smile. It still surprised her at time like theses just how unconcerned she was at times like these. She’d always been confident but now nothing seemed to faze her. With little consideration she answered Penitents question “Well I find his sort tends to over plan these things, so I was just going to improvise. Though I’m no expert on the subject.†She turned to Nick “Any pearls of wisdom on what we could be facing?â€
  22. Lucy gave a small smile “After all we went through you really think I would be here to do that? I just came here to hear your side of the story. So tell me…†Any chance of completing that sentence was lost, first by Starlight’s impressive entrance, then by King’s more subtle, but no more impressive entrance. BY now Lucy was difficult to surprise but even she raised an eyebrow at the sudden turn of events. She took of the sunglasses she wore out of habit and stared into his eyes with her own solid black eyes, unlike some she didn’t possess any supernatural senses but she was a good judge of people and Penitent wasn’t acting like a cold blooded killer. “I’d say that he’s innocent.†She turned to the other two, giving King of Suit a friendly smile “You better tell us what you know.†Turning her attention back to Penitent.
  23. Notice 1d20+10=12, bah I hear nothing.
