  1. Power stunting a snare to bind a non-resisting goon(not sure if fatigue matters at this point) Edit: and just to avoid any misunderstandings, he's not tried that snare except on wooden posts, (so no slicing and dicing people), though he's pretty sure enough that he's got it down that he tried it here...
  2. Giving a quick nod to their host, Don turns right back to Professor Quill. "Well, it won't be right away, of course, I am still in the middle of developing that gravity-based power generator. In fact, our company just had the first successful alpha test this last week, which is a very promising sign for the outcome of the project. And incidentally, this test should prove the validity of my theory, and quiet those last few remaining skeptics once and for all." Don smiles at that last part.
  3. Threads up! viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4325
  4. Well, I'll smack him with another Graviton Wave Graviton Wave (1d20+6=21) DC 29 to save And I'll surge to do it again!(I need to use those hero points, after all!) Graviton Wave 2 (1d20+6=25) That is So Close to a crit, i'll burn a hero point for temp improved critical(and the other for removing fatigue, if neccessary, though I might just eat the fatigue if he's close to going down)
  5. Heh, I thought up a couple more complications for Dyne. SO: Academic Pride:Dyne is proud of his achievements in advancing science's understanding of the universe, and can get understandably upset whenever someone belittles his works. It is in fact, one of the very few things that can truly ignite his temper! Grudge:While Dyne is normally a pretty nice, even-tempered guy in general, if someone manages to actually anger him, he can get a little...vindictive against that person. He may have a long fuse, but his anger burns equally long! Doktor'd
  6. Ah, a nice October day in the park. The cool breeze coming off the river provides a nice counterpoint to this sunny fall day, with families enjoying a relaxing Sunday. Unbeknown to them, however, there is a danger lurking right beneath their feet...one that will make this day of sun and fun seem a distant and hollow memory.....
  7. "I think that will be all for me as well. It's getting late, and I have deadlines to attend to..." Dyne gives a nodding salute to Momentum, then turns and flies off into the night.
  8. Remind me again why the heck I'm doing this? Don trudges up to the abandoned apartment building, having had a car service drop him off; he didn't trust his 1969 Pontiac GTO to still be where he parked it in this neighborhood! Heh, that's right, they really buttered you up with flattery, and a promise of a large donation to a charity of my choice! Shaking his head at how utterly idiotic it was to have been convinced to participate in this little charade, he walks over to where the camera equipment and a craft table had been set up. "Well, I'm here, though I still think this is a waste of my time and talents. I still don't see why a man with my credentials as a Nobel Prize winner is needed, any scientist could have done just as well." He looks around at the gathered crowd. "Well, what's done is done, and I don't go back on my word(though you'd better make it a rather LARGE donation, my girl!)....so! My name is Professor Don Fried. I'm pretty sure most of you have heard of me, though I don't tend to advertise myself..." Don clearly looks rather uncomfortable with this whole affair, though he tries to hide it.
  9. Well, Dyne's always up for action, and he can get in as "scientific counsel". Hey, if you don't trust the opinions of a Nobel prize winning scientist...
  10. "Not quite, though the service is excellent. pretty much expected of the Doktor, though." Don follows his companion's gaze. "Heh, I've had to deal with my share of sycophants and brown-nosers. Don't let it get to you, I've seen what a brilliant man you are." Don smiles broadly. "I might be asking for a collaboration in the future actually, since several colleagues have told me that when it comes to quantum mechanics and the nature of unstable particles, there are few who can match their expertise, and that's what I'm looking for to advance my refinement of my Unified Gravity Theory into a So-called "Theory of Everything."
  11. Alright, I think we have enough for now. I'll be PMing people tomorrow on who get's in(I'm only looking at 4-5). Look for more adventures with Terrible Tyrant Tryrar! :P
  12. Meanwhile, back in the bathroom, Dyne's field dissipates, causing the two goons plastered to the ceiling to fall to the ground, where they moan a little at the impact. Sorry, charlies, not letting you off THAT easy! His field erupts again, catching the leader this time, though one of the goons manages resist the field! He then commands both captured robbers to hit the ceiling again; one manages to brace himself this time, while the leader hits full-force, cracking the ceiling as well as knocking him for a loop! The field fades away, the two robbers hit the ground..... Only for the field to spring into being once more! It catches all three off guard, and they soon find themselves hurled against the ceiling for the third time, causing it to develop ever-wider cracks and knocking on of the robbers out cold! Huh, and my mother said cartoons rot the brain...
  13. heh, sorry about that. Quick note: I am burning a hero point to counter fatigue from surging
  14. Well, guess I'm up then? I'm gonna turn the Gent's room into an episode of Looney Tunes (Dyne's bound and determined to see these suckers fly though the ceiling). After all, if once was nice, why not do it twice? Free action: stop maintaining Gravity control(they fall to the ground). Standard action:Gravity Control! Gravity Control Grapple roll (1d20+20=38) No matter the outcome of the grapple and subsequent plastering against the ceiling(or not), Dyne will stop maintaining his gravity control( a free action), in order to Surge and do it AGAIN! After all, if twice was nice, better do it thrice! Standard Action:Gravity Control! Again. Gravity Control Grapple #2 (1d20+20=30)
  15. At that moment, Don looks over at this new arrival-and finds something seems familiar about the man in the dinner jacket. He quietly walks over to him. "Excuse me my good man, but while this may sound a bit cliche, have we met before?" He thinks on if for a moment. "Wait, I have it! You're Professor Quill, right? I'm Don Fried, Nobel Prize laureate. We both attended that conference in Amsterdam on Advances In Quantum Physics, if I recall. Your lecture on the properties of unstable molecules was rather inspired, if I do say so myself. " He puts out his hand right hand for a handshake.
  16. Seeing how I'm probably not winning grapples with this idiot, Dyne will assault him with his Graviton Wave Graviton Wave attack roll (1d20+6=23) That's a DC 29 single-target attack, and with Precise on my array, any shooting into melee penalties go away(unless he's an elusive target, which in that case the attack only has -4 instead of -8)
  17. heh, that's probably a yes. After all, they'd want to see how the other guy's stuff works, right?
  18. well, sewer monsters, to be precise, but the more the merrier! I'll keep this up a few more days to see who else wants to join, then I'll have this up and running around Sat/Sun
  19. Ok, here's the scene: You're walking through Riverside when suddenly giant alligators emerge from the river and attack! It's the heroes job to stop the repulsive reptiles from devouring anyone, and find the source of this incursion! I'm looking at this being a PL 10+ adventure, though that's not set in stone if I don't get much interest.
  20. I would point out that mass and weight, while similar, are not entirely the same thing, so Dyne's mass sense might pick up the fact that her mass is off for a woman of her size and weight. Though that's a GM call

Sue me for being unoriginal
  22. Well, since it looks like Momentum screwed it up, Dyne will just attack when it gets to be his turn. Can I get a confirmation on just how weakened the building has gotten(specifically the roof)?
  23. In a flash, Dyne is engulfed by the suit before he can react! He screams in pain as the suit tries to take over his mind, attempting to convert it to be more like the girl, but the Master of Gravity doesn't surrender his mind so easily. "URGH! That was thoroughly unpleasant! It's trying to make my thought processes more like her, and I really-" Come on, you can take them! They don't stand a chance against you! You can be king of HIT! "Grr, it's sending some really weird thoughts into the back of my head, and it's really starting to-" You can have Ice Cream parades down the streets every day at your command! Nobody can stop you! "I think it's trying to make take over the world or something, but I'm not sure because the thoughts are pretty silly, and I'm-" You can get a different girlfriend every day, they'll all flock to you! You don't have to worry about those 'feelings' crap!"OK, that's it! I'm getting this suit off right now before my I.Q. becomes permanently equal to 0 degrees Kelvin!" With that, Dyne dives back into the water, and quickly surfaces above the river. "You want to take over minds, you cheap gym outfit knockoff? Then let's see you find a mind to abuse in orbit! With that, he envelops himself in a gravitic warp, tearing and pulling at the suit until it lets go and rips off his body; he then hurls it about as far away from him as his warp field could throw it! Before the suit can try to re-attach itself, Dyne Lets out a MASSIVE field of altered gravity, and traps the suit in it! He then commands gravity to reverse, propelling the suit upward at rapid speeds until it reaches the limit of his field-about 94 miles away into Low Earth Orbit!
