  1. The odds evened, but not short yet! Lord Steam stood up and climbed as fast as possible out of Alice, to the hatch on its "roof". He popped his head out and observed the fight between two identical brawlers. No...I can't tell one from other! An idea caught his head. The doppelganger may only speak English. Of course, the same may have been true of its target, but this was a possibility - a possibility of at least trying to discriminate. "" He yelled at the two, in his finest Latin.
  2. It is? Ooops.... Time for some Latin. Lets see if imposter speaks it...
  3. You could blast then fly. Your call.
  4. Indeed! So have a hero point for saving Yvonne at risk of personal safety! Glow 3 Hero Points Fatigued Dok 4 Hero Points
  5. 1d20=4 Avetti KO! With your flight, thats 2500 foot range from SGB: well, any distance up to that, for your flight. post away IC and let me know which direction and how far you are flying! (NB: As I see it your Range on your Multidirectional Blast is in error - it should be 160' Per increment...Blast 8 is 80' base, then x2 for feat?)
  6. I always thought as UP.. Ie if you affect others with area effect everyone gets the bonus! Meaning progression affects others is not applicable. In any case it sounds cool! Immunity 4 (cold, Low pressure, suffocation) extras affect others, burst, flaws distracting for 8 PP... A bubble encasing the plane! thatas a 40 ft radius bubble, but you could get progression area feat 3 to expand it up to 400 feet as you desire. This ok for you Scuffles? If so post away.
  7. This works for me ( all though progression affects others on an area? )
  8. THats fine re: Knowledge Rolls, Scuffles. Unless you had a particularly dense INT, Decompression = bad is pretty standard knowledge! (DC 0 Knowledge roll I guess ) Stunting a life support bubble would be fine (I suppose technically the oxygen would run out eventually...!). There are a variety of ways of doing this. To be honest I have always felt a little unsure about the immunity to poison and disease ones - I mean, I can understand filtering out poison gas in a space suit, but would that protect against a poisoned arrow for instance? It always itches, that one... Anyway. Your Force Field has 11 PP so you could stunt something like 1. Immunity (Life Support) 9, Affects others, Burst Area, Limited: Distracting, Duration (Concentration). Which would protect everybody, but you lose dodge bonus and need to take standard actions (or move action with Concentration DC 19 roll) to maintain. This probably sounds most like what you are looking for. 2. Immunity (Life Support) 9, Affects others, Limited: Distracting, Feats Progression 2 (5 Others) Protecting up to 5 people you touch, losing your dodge bonus. Alternatively you could reduce some of the ranks in Immunity, so its just Suffocation and Environmental Affects (Immunity 7) which sounds quite plausible, or even just Suffocation (Immunity 2) if you just want to trap the oxygen around the plane. # Immunity 2 (Suffocation) Extras: Affects Others, Area (Burst) for 6 PP.
  9. GM The Steam-powered elevator was beautifully constructed, like a work of art, but not as silent or comfortable as the lifts of freedom city. Hsssssss! came the noise as it shuddered and rose, and gentle puffs of steam wafted up from Starlight's feat. "Welcome to mah humble little abode!" came the old, deep, and somehow mellow voice when the Elevator opened up on the top floor. Finngan was a tallish man, with a fairly broad build. The kind of unassuming robust and athletic build that could pass without notice but spoke of some physical muscularity. He was well into middle age, with a craggy face, and white hair neatly cropped complemented by an elegant moustache trimmed in a Victorian style. His eyes were deep and black, like sharks. He was dressed in finery, like a cowboy made of silk and tweed. Only his boots had any masculinity to them, worn under his dandy suit, and with imposing, menacing spurs. His belt had a gun holstered to it, just under his jacket, obscured from view. To either side of him were two large large men, with little effort made to look so fine. They were aiming to look imposing, and by and large, they succeeded, aided by the fat guns, low slung. The only other person in the room was a pretty woman dressed in a dress and high heels, with a pen, paper, and bright red lipstick to match her red hair. She looked like a secretary, but Finnegan obviously liked to have something nice to look at it in the hot Texan heat, too. "You a fine dandy!" he said, pouring himself and Starlight a glass of whiskey. "A real dandy, sir!" he continued, smiling at Starlight and having a drink. "Go on, have a drink, it's not poison. Least, not in the traditional sense!" he laughed, his voice a not unpleasant marriage of drawling Texan and lilting Irish. "Then you can tell me what you want from me, Sir, and I'll see if ah fancy blowing your brains out for your h'impertinence!" he smiled, the shark eyes drilling into Starlight.
  10. Le travail a été effectué par Le Dokteur. And a big Overhaul for Rene - mainly tidying up stuff to be a bit more coherent (I hope). text explanation of changes! And the code... Le travail a été effectué par Le Dokteur.
  11. GM Ahmed mumbled something incoherent about Camels being man's best friend, and Jeeps being the spawn of some infernal entity. The ragged man raised an eyebrow, then his hands, culminating in a thin bony finger pointing at Weaver. "Hold on...what are you up to?" he asked suspiciously, his body tensing into a fighting posture. The man, for all his ragged appearance was fast and had that wiry strength that came with his build. He looked like he could be dangerous in a fight. At least, a normal fight. He edged closer, still on guard and suspicious. "What do you want to check?" he hissed, his eyes fixed on Weaver all the time as he moved closer to the hero.
  12. I suppose you could throw in a sense motive roll and/or a Knowledge (Behaviour) roll?
  13. Good lord he's huge... Although he could split atoms and unleash their radioactive fury with a thought, such pyrotechnics would not serve here. He was undercover. Supercape knew he was in fair shape and had picked up a thing or two about fisticuffs, but this man looked like he knew what he was doing in a brawl. Really knew. He did his best to relax. "Um..." He cleared his throat. "We are in need of some cash, my friend. Real cash. Word was, this joint is good for cash, if you got the aptitude for...less orthodox work. What I mean is, we was wondering if there is any room to make some money. Any job, any situation...to be honest, we take anything right now. We got heat on us, and we need money fast..."
  14. "Villain!" cursed Rene, loudly. It was directed at Revenant, but the astute could have heard it. "Wretched Villain!" he added, marginally softer, but with more emphasis. He summoned up his mystical power in a twinkle in his eye, and once again painted onto reality. The effect was subtle, dream-like. Art can reflect mood, feelings, and repose - and Rene's conjuirations were not limited to the material and fantastic. A more subtle effect was called for. Creeping in a spiral around the villain was a change, a soporific change in lighting and colour, like a hazy dreamlike zephy on a hot afternoon. If one studied it carefully one could notice the details, but somehow its hypnotic effect erased the memory of its existence. And the snake like haze wafted straight to the Villain, full of the promises of sweet slumber...
  15. Back from Hols, sorry for Delay! Villan #1 looks nasty! Time for some sleepy art! Using Grasp of Morpheus: This is a subtle effect and Insidious, so he wont know he is being attacked! Le Art! 1d20+10=15 fir attack roll, which I dont think will hit - unless he is flat footed from an invisible, indirect 3 attack from an invisible opponent! If it does, its a DC 22 Will Save, Fatigue power. If does miss, may hit next round with homing of course!
  16. GM The police questionings were routine, thorough, and reasonably short. Neither of the two heroes were suspects, although details and demographics were taken as a formality. All in all the police were professional and polite. They were concerned about Ms. Hart's dissapearance. "Did you know her?" "What was she wearing?" "Did you see her with anybody?" "What did you discuss?" All routine questions, routinely answered. All except... "What did you discuss with her?"
  17. GM The Youth, who already looked somewhat better (whilst still having a thin film of cold sweat over his paled body) gave Protectron the thumbs up. "Yo, dude!" he said, slightly delerious from the pain and blood loss. "Print, man, he is a hard nut! handy with his hands, if ya know what I mean...he got a top reputation in that department. Face like a motorway pile up, but hey I guess you seen his ugly mug already..." he said, waving weakly at the two copies on the floor. "He hangs out at the gym sometimes, ya know? pumping, pumping, thats his full time occupation, always pumping! None to popular down there - hell none to popular everywhere, but Harry, he got a way of looking at you that freezes ya blood, I don't mind telling you, no sir!"
  18. It's all falling apart! So temperature wise its time for both Dok and Kristen to make a DC 10 Fortitude Check! (Dok's coat has protected him thus far!). Glow can you make a DC 10 Reflex check or follow Yvonne tumbling to the back of the plane (fudging the rules slightly here as its not that material. You may substitute your acrobatics skills quite reasonably for this check). The oxygen is thinning rapidly. Again, I don't want to get too technical about this, but I may call for some fort saves at some point from both of you if you don't breath some oxygen or exert yourself, etc. the Endurance Feat will add +4/rank to such rolls if/when they come (in the spirit of the feat and "holding breath!"). Characters are welcome to make Knowledge (Physical Sciences) Rolls for the effects of decompression mechanically, and Knowledge (Life Sciences) for its effect on humans. These are primarily for the sake of fluff, so use your common sense (although they might justify certain bonuses later etc etc)! (Appreciate lots of rules fudging there, hope thats ok in the spirit of the game!).
  19. GM Meanwhile...back on deck! "...." started Jackson before Glow hissed at him. He looked sweaty and pale, but kind of excited alongside the fear. "I can't believe it whatascoop! the scoop of the century! oh please please let me get out of here alive! Dr Archeville sabotages new superplane in fit of jealousy!!" "Disaster from Down Under Lets Rip her Dangerous Powers!" He mumbled under his breath whilst clutching his seat. Mr. Namakura, Hanson's assistant stood up, wobbling slightly as the plane once again trembled. "I am trained in First Aid!" he said confidently with cool. The man looked quite calm, professional, focussed. Yvonne, the other flight attendant opened up an overhead appartment and brought out a first aid kit. It was a top of the range medical bag, containing enough equipment to perform anything but brain surgery in, from what Kristen could see. Mr. Namakura bowed and quickly took the medical bag, before turning to Kristen. "Where is the..." He was interrupted by an WHUMPH noise, as the temperature suddenly dropped, and the sound of rending metal and hissing air filled the room. Oxygen masks dropped overhead, to a grateful Jackson and Hanson. Mr. Namakura reached out to grab onto a seat with military reflexes, but poor Yvonne was not so fast. WARNING! DECOMPRESSION! WARNING! DECOMPRESSION! Kristen could feel the air being sapped from her lungs, and saw Yvonne stumble and tumble to the rear of the plane, along with Hanson's breifcase and Jacksons camera, and a few loose weights from the gym - all in the direction of the evaporating air.
  20. Its a streetwise knowledge roll. They are pretty small fry, DC 20 trained skill check I would say.
  21. GM "So?" replied Gremlin, sneering at the Doktor. "It's a magnificent piece of work, is it not?" he said, caressing the sides of the service hatch lovingly "A true masterpiece of engineering!" He smiled wickedly. "The thing is, good Doktor, you are too clever for your own good!" he laughed and waved his finger around his head indicating the insanity of his creator. "How would I know if you had created something magnificent or not? I'm not as smart as you, just smart enough to do my job without going mad like you. I'm not here to hack into computers, or work out how made what, or how, or just how much you had a hand in designing or not designing something..." "Oh no, you knew that, didn't you. A man smart as you could easily cover his tracks. And I'm designed to be a fail safe. To do my job. Nothing too complicated, no loop holes you could exploit. No, you defeated yourself there! If you are around, I break things! hahaha!" "Now, I must confess I did go around a bit developing my own personality a bit. I guess some of your twisted psyche rubbed off on me. But I'm not a tortured, pathetic soul like you!" he said, mocking the Doktor with a pseudo-sad face. "No, I enjoy what I do! It's fantastic! You make it, and I smash it! Yin and Yang! Black and White! What a perfect marriage!"
  22. Holiday time! I am taking a break tommorow, will be away for 4/5 days. Ill probably get the odd post in, I will try to prioritise the threads I am playing in as a group!
