  1. Im going to Run Voltage + Ironclad thread soon.... Whilst I may not be much good for this, let me know if I can help with some GM duties, including if you wish a whole team thread. I cant promise Ill be great at this (ill try stretching myself!) but I thought I would let you guys know if you want me for a few threads, my GM services at your disposal! No offence taken if you want to do this "in house" and reject me! :tinfoil:
  2. DC 25 Sense Motive Check (DIfficult over the phone!) El Heraldo gets a +2 Bonus due to his hearing. Also, feel free to check on this. Ms. Hart is back at the Library today, and it all checks out. Police have registered her return, and its even a minor news item. Gather Information DC 10 or Knowledge (Current Events) Roll. Young Brittania can get a +2 bonus to this roll if she feels suitably inclined to spread a bit of money in a less than technically ethical manner! DC 20 Gather Information.
  3. GM Whilst the heroes debated the book, Agnes phone rang. Some sixth sense tingled in both of them - the rings appeared to resound, full of promise and meaning. "Hi, is that...Agnus Stone?" came the familiar voice. "This is Abigail Hart, you came around the library yesterday? took out a book.... Professor Bottle? Well, we need it back I'm afraid...could you drop it off at the Library today? I'm in the whole day....Sorry for the inconvenience...." It sounded just like Ms. Hart, if memory served correct. She sounded quite alive, and if anything, quite well! the number on the phone registered from the Library too...
  4. Synth listened carefully to both Voltage and King of Suits, then nodded. "It doesn't look too resilient" she said, tapping the door and then giving it an experimental shove. "I don't think hanging around is wise, either. These people are well organised, and fast. The trail may already be cold, but if there is any warmth left in it, I think we should move quickly..." She took a few steps back and rubbed her fists. "Lets get going..." she finished.
  5. Round 4: 22- Voltage - 2 Hero Points - Unharmed 19 - Avetti - KO 10 -SGB - Unharmed (DIrectly under Voltage). 4 - Scientist - Unharmed, in car 200' away.
  6. GM With a roar, and an explosion of electricity from the nape of his neck, Sam charged. His huge size and mass meant all obstacles crumbles and shattered before him. His feet cut through the cars and walls of Avetti's mansion like paper, and the street cracked under his feet. Cars flew through the air as he collided with them. Power cables and telephone lines entangled him then were ripped solidly out of the ground as his continued his charge. A fie hydrant cracked and flew as he turned a corner. Car alarms sounded throughout the block, as cars screeched to a halt and reversed rapidly seeing the giant lumber through Freedom City. As Sam reached Voltage, the Scientist scrambled into one of the few remaining cars, and ignited the engine.
  7. SGB Charge! Moving All out, 200 feet, directly below Voltage.
  8. A sense motive roll DC 20 from you?
  9. Rene shielded his eyes from the explosion of flame. Whatever, and whoever, these villains were, they were not holding back. And civilians could easily be harmed. "Zut Alors! ze Flames!" he spluttered to nobody in particular. Once again the waft of soporific haze wound its way, in no particular hurry, towards the villain he had sent half way to sleep. This time, he dearly hoped the ruffian would not manage to resist his mystical power. He edged further towards the fray. "Spare ze pyrotechnics!" he yelled "These people are innocent!"
  10. I believe Villain #1 is exhausted, so Rene will try and KO him with another fatigue power. Non shifted attack. 1d20+0=9 Well, I forgot to add his attack bonus of 10, so thats 19? If it hits the, the normal DC 27 Fatigue effect. If not, well at least it might home in.
  11. GM "Mind the trip?" replied Skull Face "All I got was silt and beer cans for the past few decades. Seeing something new is pretty exciting after that!" "So, what is the plan?" he asked more subdued "you do have a plan, right?" he inquired. Somehow he gave the impression of raising an eyebrow even when there was none. "Atlantis? the Deep Ones?" he chattered on, intermittently bidding a passing fish a greeting. "There probably a few submarines down here too..." he laughed. "I hear plenty of stuff. Nothing wrong with my ears. Well, I haven't got any. But I hear very well!" he jabbered on "I know all the ways of the depths. Got nothing else to do for millenia than listen to the rumour mill..."
  12. Ms. Hart, whilst dabbling in a little bit of occultism and knowing a bit (Knowledge 4: Arcane Law, INT 12, +5), is fairly ignorant about the matter in hand. She was kidnapped for interrogation - someone wants to know about what El Haraldo and YB knew about the subject! Feel free to post away this revelation how you wish, I would suggest your guardian spirit of Peurto Rico helps with this, but its your call!
  13. "Well I have news" replied Rene, yawning. "As to how fortunate it is, that is something for the fates to decree". He yawned again. He had been up burning the midnight oil looking at the books. A load of bad horror fiction at first glance, he thought, but there did seem to be some message there. It was pretty convoluted, garbled, and he doubt he would have spotted much without Jake's annotations. "The book appears to be a code, of sorts..." he explained "there is nothing actually usable there, at least as far as I can see, but it's more like a recipe book without any finished meals. Full of allusions of Necromancy, in particular, of actually restoring life, in a manner similar to Nora, perhaps. But that is not quite it..." "I can only guess that this was a venus flytrap. A code to bring in ze more fanatical fan to our authoress. And it seemed to work with your friend Jake. Perhaps she wished to see if anyone out there could help her? although from the sound of your description that help would not be well rewarded. " "I think it alludes to her own condition. It seems as if ze Master, with his third stroke, decided to place heavier chains on his creation. Nora was wild, too wild, you were...well, you were you...and now ze Lady, she is his unwitting slave. He sees through her eyes, like a spy. " "That is a far as I can tell. I may be wrong, but that is my sense of it. Ze Lady wishes to be free, but cannot openly advertise it - for ze Master would know. So, she has set in place a series of clues, to be rescued. Or at least, unchained. I doubt she wishes to return to a fully mortal existence...."
  14. If you wish to "Inspire" then let me know OOC, with a rough question!
  15. "Knives?" replied Supercape, arching one eyebrow. The man sounded genuine - and quite possibly on the level. He wasn't prepared to break cover quite yet then. "With a name like that, sound's trouble..." he frowned, studying the giant in front of him. "We didn't get involved in any kidnapping..." he continued "that's bad business, even if it is some trumped up little rich girl. But look, maybe we could help you out here? If this guy Knives is a problem?" He shrugged his shoulders nonchantly. "I mean, looks like you can take care of your self, don't get me wrong. But if you need someone outside, so to speak, to take care of some pansie?"
  16. "I'm never without my cape" replied Supercape, mentally adjusting it to become just that slightly bit larger and shinier. "Mach 3 eh?" he continued, scratching his chin. "Well that will cut down our transit time considerably, I dare say. Although I won't be able to keep up with that. No jet boots!" he explained pointing at his blue boots. "Complicated business, flight. This cape actually works by bending gravity around it, folding it open ahead of me, and closed behind me. From a strictly 4 dimensional perspective of course. Gets a bit more complicated than that. " He studied Ironclad's suit. "I suspect Jets might have been an easier solution". He studied the map Ironclad had produced. "In any case, the sooner we set off, the sooner we arrive. Although what waits us is another question!" and with that, he swirled his cape and flew off.
  17. Whichever works for you! Incidentally, you can both spend HPs in this thread to use "inspiration" - which can be particularly generous - if you wish, as a kind of connection with your respective "Spirits" who have guided you / empowered you.
  18. GM Poor Sam, or Supergiantboy, looked shocked, in more ways than one. Lingering electrical arc's sparked off his body. "Wha....What are you talking about?" came the deep boom of his giant voice. He shook his head, his hair standing on air and lit up with electrical bolts. "I...I..." he said, before a sudden discharge at the back of his neck, causing him to wince. "Smash!!!!" he roared, picking up a huge cross beam from the shattered remains of the house, and hurling it like a spear, with giant muscles, through the air straight after the flying Voltage. The poor scientist, picked himself up from the rubble, took one look at the situation, and headed off to the drive, as fast as he could carry himself!
  19. If we say a 200' range would that be ok? SGB is taking some House Debris (move action) and throwing it at you...! 1d20+4=12 A resolute miss! 1d20=17 Scientist recovers from Stun, but cant do anything other than fret and run! Round 3: 22- Voltage - 2 Hero Points - Unharmed 19 - Avetti - KO 10 -SGB - Unharmed 4 - Scientist - Unharmed
  20. I suggest move to YB's appartment? I will throw in some stuff to get moving! :)
  21. GM The police questioning soon drew to an end. "Well, we will stay in touch" said one officer. "RIght now, you aren't a suspect, either of you. But then again, right now we got no Suspects..." he sighed. "This one doesn't look to good. She had no enemies, no trouble. Just a regular day that day. I just hope we turn up something, and fast...." Subito, with his extraordinary hearing, managed to pick up a few snippets during the police talks - an Italian gentleman was in the library that day, a few people commented on his accent and the fact he didn't appear to read anything. Nothing concrete - except of course nobody knew who he was.
  22. GM Detective Mead looked shocked. "You got some strange customs, that's fer sure!" he said, in a somewhat subdued tone. "I should probably bring a shrink down, get a psyche evaluation on you. Saying one thing, then the other, then asking for a bullet..." he shook his head. "Technically, I gotta arrest you..." he said, looking Wave Eye squarely in the face. A soft smile curled up one side of his face. "But you know, you kinda did move fast, didn't you? I mean, I tried to stop you..." he said. "Just make sure you get whoever is behind this...and soon...I can't protect you forever...." With that, Mead and his associated about turned and walked off, to continue the forensic examinations.
  23. Wave Eye - Injured x 1 - 2 Hero Points (Injury for the bullet, as is the hero point!).
  24. GM The back window of Harry Print's abode was smashed, clearly indicating the villain had made a getaway. From his Arial position, Protectron could easily follow the short distance to the local Gym, only one block away. It was a shabby, run down and seedy place. The kind of place where steroid abusing youths went to sweat and pour testorone. Outside, two cars had collided, steam rising from both bonnets. A number of onlookers - six in all, were watching the scene, with one man crawling out of a car. As Protectron approached, all the onlookers looked up. All with the face of Harry Print! "Harry Print's the greatest!" "We love Harry Print!" "Harry Print for president!"
